my dad, at some point in his life, lived on a farm in upstate NY. His closest neighboors where mennonites. They really thought he was evil, since he was a hippy (long hair, no shoes.. ) and a Jew whee

Kippot would be great, but we also need an option to add peyot (side curls) to hairstyles, bowler hats or streimels (with or without fur), different types of kippah (velvet, crocheted, Bokharan...), women's kippot (with the ribbons hanging down, braided edge, pretty delicate crocheted designs, or made of metal like these kippot by Gloria), tallit katan (with the strings hanging down from our shirts), tallit gadol in men's and women's styles, tefillin for right- or left-handed wearers... AND SOME HEAD COVERINGS FOR WOMEN THAT COVER ALL OUR HAIR!

Teehee: I like that immenslely. But I think it might be a little controversial (i.e. "If the jews get to wear their hats, why can't muslims have prayer rugs and christians have giant cross staffs!" -non-Jewish person).

Okay, so we'll just have to give the muslims their prayer rugs and christians their giant cross staffs 3nodding . I think the gaia crew have too much free time on their hands >.> They could get around to making one or two jewish items (because we are totally awesome!) ninja .

Yeah... they have the "Leather Collar with Cross". It's small, but religious.
I think that kippot might not be a good idea because it is something too religious. It's like having avatars wearing teffilin. People could use it as mockery. Why would you want someone's avatar wearing a kipah if they are far from Jewish and it is a symbol of the faith?

Agent_Starling Yeah... they have the "Leather Collar with Cross". It's small, but religious. That is so not religious, it is based on all the leather and crosses that Goths wear.

It's a cross... it's a religious symbol.
I know what it's based off. I would have used that for my avatar if it didn't have the cross... and wasn't so expensive.

Its not religious in the context of the item You must be joking...You cant even see the cross, it looks more like just a small metal circle.

I think we should have kippot and related items (tzit tzit), and I would be just as down with Gaian hijabs and prayer rugs.
