"It's okay. I don't really like to mess around with stuff like that anyway. I'm the same way with boys, really - they're fun to play sports with, but snuggling and kissing and stuff like that? Not for me."
"Agreed. Boys are better as teammates, friends or allies, not as 'boyfriends'. And besides, It's odd to see couples going off and snuggling in public," Alex tried to imagine Hikaru or herself ever doing such things, but it was difficult, "I don't want to be so lovey-dovey that I forget my dignity somewhere in a trash can," she noted and accepted the soda.
"I'm just saying, if you ever need my help, I'll be there for you. Boys or otherwise, okay? Call on me anytime!"
"Sure thing! Same goes for you, okay?" she smiled and sipped the soda, growing more hyper with every ounce of sugar.

"Exactly!" Hikaru laughed and nodded, agreeing completely with Alex's sentiments on the issue of boys. She took another sip of her soda, and bit off the end of one of her sour straws. "I just can't see myself acting like that with a guy." She shook her head at this, smiling.
"I'll be sure to let you know whenever I'm having problems! That's what friends are for, after all." biggrin

Before Hiko had said anything, or even managed to blink, Alex had quickly zipped over to the opposite side of the room for no particular reason, "Exactly. Say, do you have any more caramel candies?" she had rushed back to her friend's side with the same speed as before and began jumping up and down, "Anything will do really! Chocolate, jellybeans, anything!" she said quickly and placed her drink down before pouncing on the pillowcase stuffed with candy, "MY LOVE!" she giggled insanely and popped a piece of chocolate in her mouth.

Hikaru was caught off-guard by the sudden explosion of energy from Alex, but she waved a hand toward her pillowcase anyway.
"Um... yeah, sure! You can have whatever you want from in there! I've got tons more in my room, so feel free!" sweatdrop
She fished out a bag of gummy worms and started to snack on them, watching Alex curiously.

"Ayah! I'm thirsty," Alex crawled back to her soda, sipping it down before gobbling down half a bag of chips and wiping her mouth and sighing, "Oi. I don't feel so good," she mumbled, rubbing her tummy, "Maybe I shouldn't have eaten so quickly," she seemed about ready to barf, but ended up collapsing in her sleeping bag, "G'night, Hiko. I'm tired," she yawned and knocked the empty can of soda over before falling asleep.

Hikaru watched in slight amazement at how quickly Alex managed to inhale the snacks, laughing a little to herself over how little it took to get her so hyper. Hikaru herself had a rather hyperactive metabolism, so sugary foods never really had much of an effect on her except for some quick energy after running around a lot. She sometimes forgot that wasn't true of most other people.
"Good night, Alex," she said, smiling. She picked up the soda can, tossing it across the room and into the trash can, and lightly patted Alex's sleeping bag before turning to the rest of the room to see what the other girls were up to.

After hearing a long pause, and no response from Joy, Tomoro stood up in disgust. "What are you, too scared? In that case, KEILA, truth or dare." Tomoro rolled her eyes; she was sick of this game already, and wanted to go home as fast as possible. Standing up, now sickened at what she had done in front of these girls she barely knew, she turned around quickly, and walked over to her bag, stuffing all of the contents back into her bag. God, I was such a fool for coming here... of course the girls wouldn't answer me... I'm ME, for crying out loud... Joy just probably didn't want to answer a freak's question.
Sniffing and wiping a tear out of her eye, Tomoro sat down in a corner of the room, holding up her sketchbook to shield her teary face from everyone else. She then just decided to draw; her only way out of the world, besides tending to plants.

Ai's smile soon faded away as Tomoro was suddenly in the corner, drawing away, or maybe shielding her face? She reminded Ai of when she was a little girl. Back in the days, when Ai was picked on, was called an 'ugly girl', and thats when it happened. When Ai stopped liking guys until she came to Ria.
"I'll never go out with you, you're an UGLY GIRL"
Thats what an angel said to her, back when she lived in Heaven, she liked this guy, but he didn't like her cause he thought she was ugly because she had no wings. That when Ai stopped socializing, stopped looking at a mirror at least once a day, and just hanged out in flower fields. Alone. Sometimes with her siblings, she even didn't want any friends. She would always question herself if she is worthy of being an angel and if she would ever be a humans guardian angel. Her emotions changed when she was a slayer, she was so cold hearted and didn't care about anyone but herself.
She thought she was nothing.
Until she came to Ria. There was something about the place that made her open up, and be a little less wierd. Ever since she made her first friends, she's become more happy. more like a real angel. But sometimes she thinks that she's not worthy of having friends, special friends, sometimes she thinks that if she just dissapears that everything would of been for the better. But, she always pushes away that voice and smiles. Just smiles away her pain, so then no one can tell.
".. tomoro.. " she said under her breath, she slowly stood up from where she was sitting and walked over to Tomoro, her footsteps filled with grace, as if she was a lady. She sat down next to Tomoro, in the corner, and smiled at her.
"Tomoro.. I know how you feel.. I was once-what do you call it? Like, I once cutt myself off with the world because I thought I was just a burden. I was just some kind of tool in everyone's life. That is- until I came here. I guess, what i'm trying to say, is that I'm your friend and here for you. So cheer up!" she said, but softly so know one would hear her. Her bright lovely lavender eyes filled with joy as she smiled at Tomoro.
"Turn that frown upside down!" she cried out loudly as she spreaded her arms out, like she was hugging the air.

Rivera crept up silently next to Tomoro, sitting down beside her with curious eyes. She had remained hidden the entire time, merging with the shadows until she had been frozen in space, a statuette of ice, ever observant but never noticing anything to do with herself. The flower in her hair had awakened her. Rivera lightly touched Tomoro's shoulder. A small ring of rippling water rotated over her head like a halo of fire, only with clear liquid that reflected the green tint in her eyes.
"Daijobu desu, Tomoro onee-chan?" Rivera asked in her whispering, silver voice. She hoped she wasn't hurting her any more than she was hurting. As she watched, she saw that even innocent games can have their perils. The water took on the essence of plant life, comforting and gentle. She drew out her own sketchbook, a page filled with the game's participants, but it was... below her norm. She couldn't draw such a vile game.
Tomoro looked so sad, and she couldn't do anything. She wasn't able to cheer anyone up, she was a descendant of Styx, the sorrowful river, directly from Nike, the goddess of Victory, as she was told by the Storm. What could she do? She looked at her wrist, and the deep scars etched upon her left forearm. The symbol for atlantis was engraved there, a branching scar that reminded her of her distant ancestry and her status. She was High Priestess... but for what cause? Destruction? Sorrow? Chaos? What good does being High Priestess do, if all it brought was the contents of Pandora's Box?
Her sketchbook fell open to a picture of a man and a woman, but they had no faces... "Oka-san... Odo-san... Doko.... doko ni irunda?" She asked no one in particular. Looking up for a moment, she appeared hopeless, as if all the world was lost. Without parents to guide her, she had no idea of LIFE itself, why she lived, how to keep living, how to keep others alive... Then looking at Tomoro, she could somehow discern one thought from another, and was struck by enlightenment.
Rivera suddenly turned and threw Tomoro a hug. "Arigatou, onee-chan!"

Hikaru looked around at the other girls, not quite fully aware of what had just happened. What was clear to her at the moment, however, was that someone was pouting in the corner during a party. Unforgivable! Unthinkable! She stood up and walked over to Tomoro, leaning down slightly and extending a hand with a bright smile.
"Hi! I'm not really sure what's going on here, since I was kinda absorbed in talking to Alex, but it seems like you're upset about something... Anyway, you haven't met me yet - my name's Hikaru, by the way - but I wanted to let you know that if you need a friend or something, I'd love to get to know you better!"
Kneeling down in front of her with her elbows resting on her knees at this point, Hikaru grinned, giving a cheesy V for victory sign to Tomoro just like she kept doing while she was talking to Alex in the corner.

Tomoro was nearly stunned as these three girls came to her...
"Turn that frown upside down!"
"Arigatou, onee-chan!"
"I'd love to get to know you better!"
These words filled her up with joy, and she sniffed a bit, giving Ai an air hug, putting her head on Rivera's shoulder, and nodded quickly and happily as Hikaru introduced herself. She smiled slightly, bringing down her sketchbook covered with tears, and began to talk, very quietly. "I.... never really wanted to come to this school. My mom made me. I have... a very bad past, I was forced to do many things I didn't want to do, I almost died a lot... and... I've always lived on the fact that I can get by on my own."
Tomoro stopped after this, looking down, her eyes slightly bloodshot. She looked exhausted. "But... I... do need friends. I need people to back me up. I don't want to be alone." It was so hard to come out with these words, Tomoro had always loved being a loner, exploring by herself... she never knew what it was like to have real girlfriends to share makeup with, and talk about boys... maybe it was time to change that. "I... I want to be friends with all of you guys, and I hope you... feel the same way." She looked down, her clothes slightly wrinkled, and realized that she had been clinging onto them for dear life for quite a while. In fact, Tomoro probably looked like she had just seen a scary horror movie, and was still in the aftershock because of the ironic ending. Her hair was slightly tangled, and she felt horrible in front of all these girls, so perfected and pretty.
Even so, she gripped her wrist, and attempted to cover it up; nobody could see her serial number. It was strange... the entire room was filled with angels, vampresses, normal girls, elementals... and she was a lone experiment, sitting off in the corner. It didn't feel right to her, and she rubbed her eyes, waiting for anything anyone would say next. Well, I'M not playing that game anymore... I never liked it anyway, I was just joining in on the bandwagon. Taking a deep breath, Tomoro smiled just a little at all of the girls, and looked up at the ceiling, closing her eyes.

Hikaru nodded at this, obviously pleased with Tomoro's affirmative response. She grinned again, patting Tomoro on the shoulder supportively.
"Looks like you've got a lot of friends to me! We'll back you up! Right, everyone?"
She rose to her feet, pumping her fist in the air dramatically as she looked to the other girls in the room for a rousing show of support.

Alyssa hadn't meant to, but as all the choas was erupting, she fell asleep. Instead of staying up like all the other girls, Alyssa was the type who drifted off when there was loud noises in the background; it blocked out thoughts that could haunt her for the night.
She slept wonderfully like a teenage human girl after a long week of school. This was unnatural for her as she was usually gallavanting(sp?) around in the darkness for her supper. However, Alyssa had taken a small dose of a potion given to her by a nurse when Alyssa first arrived at Ria high. Supposedly, she would sleep through the night and not have to worry about transforming or having her normal blood lusts. ALyssa never believed this small dose would do anything; stopping her natural behavior with less than three drops in a glass of water. Impossible.
When Alyssa awoke the next morning she was startled by not finding herself hidden behind a dumpster with a dead body lingering nearby. She was where she was supposed to be...at the sleepover...Alyssa yawned lazily and looked at all the girls with dismal, tired eyes. It had been a long, busy night for Alyssa; she wasn't used to the company she had been getting the last couple of days.
That's when Alyssa noticed Makie safely asleep in her sleeping bag; a small, cozy smile was plastered on those pink lips. She smiled slightly and grabbed a small notepad from her duffle along with a small, blood red pen; she began to write..
Dear Makie, It was a pleasure meeting you and I do hope we will see one another sometime soon. You are a good person Makie, and I like that about you. I apologize for leaving so early but I feel as if this is not my place anymore. I did however enjoy my stay.
Your Friend, Alyssa
Once she finished the small note Alyssa tucked the folded paper into a visible pocket on the side of her bag. She stroked Makie's hair gently before crawling over to where Ai was sleeping. Alyssa began writing another note to her also.
Ai, Thank you for having this sleepover. I enjoyed myself a great deal. I hope we are to see one another again soon. Thank you again. Alyssa
Alyssa smiled again at Makie, then to Ai as she placed the note beside Ai's head. Slently, she stood up and tip-toed over to her bag and began packing. Alyssa didn't feel like getting dressed her; she would do it once she got back to her dorm. She ran a brush through her hair quickly before stowing the last bit of her possesions. Finally after a few minutes, Alyssa grabbed her bag and exited the room; satisfied with the evening.
