Amani grinned and ran on the lakeshore for a moment before vearing off into the trees were it would be more difficult for Harabu to catch her. Her side quickly started to ache, but she tried her best to ignore it. She didn't want to get caught that soon!

Harabu's strides were longer then hers for he was larger, but yet it also made him slower. Lions weren't built to run fast like the lionesses so she had the advantage now he was an adolescent!

Amani began to slow as the pain in her side got worse and she knew that, although she was probably faster than him to begin with, he would catch her up soon. She put on another quick burst of speed to put some distance between them.

His redish brown eyes watched the femmes figure infront of him. His paws hitting the ground with a thump as his weight shifted as they ran . His eyes watched her as he closed the gap on her a little more.

Amani slowed and stumble once, twice. The bruises from her fight with the snake and her wounded shoulder ached enough now to certinally slow her down. He'll catch me now, for sure, she thought, flinching as her shoulder pained her with each step from that leg now.

He did indeed catch her, he pounced on her but didn't pin her down he jumped straight back up again and turned to face her, waiting for her to get up and run again.

He chuckled and let her get her breath back, "Though in your condition you wouldn't catch a rabbit let alone me!" He stuck his tounge out and shook his head, shaking his mane happily, for once.

"Well, it took you long enough to catch me," Amani replied smirking at him. She sat down and licked her shoulder. "There are other games we could play, that don't involve running."

"Like what?" He tilted his head slightly, his cub like nature appearing for her to see, she should treasure this it came around rarely. He sat down not far from her but far enough, he wouldn't want to be getting too close to a slave now, he never risked anything!

"Mmm, there's hide and seek, where one of us hides and the other tries to find them. Or tag, like we just did. Pretty much anything could be made into a game," Amani replied and playfully tackled Harabu. "Even pouncing."

Harabu chuckled as she pounced him and he let her pin him down for a little, "Well you chose what we play then, I suppose slaves should have some choice of what to do!"

"Well, since I'm it, why don't you hide, and we'll see how long it takes me to find you?" Amani suggested getting off of him. She sat down and closed her eyes. "You have as high as I can count. And believe me, that's not very long," she lied and started counting.

Harabu was a little confused at this hiding, how hard was it to hard a big black lion, incredibly when you are in the middle of the desert! He didn't know but he looked around the trees and found a rather large rock. He trotted over and curled up behind it, he was lucky he found it really, ok there were a few but still.

Amani finished counting and started looking for him. It wasn't all that hard, being able to follow his scent, but what was the fun in finding him that quickly? "You're pretty good at this, Harabu," she said, looking about a tree than a rock, pretending to look for him. She'd continue this for a few more moments, then sneak up behind him.
