A thick cloud of smoke swirled over Kazuma's head as a cigarette dangled from his lps. one was his usal smile, in it's place a positively sullen expression a definite shadow cast about him. As his arms hung over the back of the bench he droped his head backward over the back, watching the clouds roll by in the morning sky. Damn but it was a beautiful day. That didn't seem right...why wasn't there thunder and lightning?
"Oi, Kaaaaaaaaaazz-kuuuuuuun!" A flash of bright pink in the sulight caused Kazz to squint, , then a cat-eared silouette blocked out the sun.
"Miko-chan?" Kazz straightened up on the bench. The girl sat beside him and her smile faded as she looked him up and down. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"I just wanna know what's with everyone today. Everyone's so down."
"Heh, gomen, Miko-chan, we can't all be as cheerful as you ne? I'm actually kinda worried about a new friend, and my head's not quite in the right place."
"Well duuuuh. " Miko crossed her eyes, sticking out er tongue for emphasis. "Must be a pretty special new friend to have you so bummed. All my friends are feeling down. First Cyn-kun, then you... what's next, Ren-kun sobbing in the corner? Ari-kun sucking his thumb under his bed? It's crazy-making I tell you!"
"Hey, is this friend of yours your boyfriend? Gee, I'm so jealous, everyone is hooking up with somebody." Miko sighed, blowing a wisp of magenta hair upward. She suddenly got a dreamy expression, clasping her fingers beneath her chin and you could practically see the cartoon hearts in her eyes. "Well, that super cool girl did call me a cutie..."
Kazz rose his eyebrows in surprise as Motormouth Miko started her yammering. "Well not exactly, but I hope--Cyndir? What's wrong with----Renji, but---Ari? You mean Ariko---sheesh Miko, shut up, can I talk too?" He shook his head, laughing slightly despite himself.
"So you're startstuck again? And who's the lucky victim?" Kazz actually cringed as he saw the girls eyes light up, and she readjusted her cat ears. What on earth had he been thinking?

"Nyas Aldhin....Is that not the coolest name you've ever heard. And she is just as cool as the name. She has the shiniest black hair I've ever seen, and she's so tall and pretty..."
"Oi,oi, oi...she? Miko, this person is a girl? I had no idea you swung that way." Kazz frowned. "So where is she now? If she is just so great, why are you talking to me and not throwing rose petals at her feet.?"
"She was taken away, probably to detention. She threw coffee on the lunchlady. My brain has it on like constant replay." Her initial discomfort at Kazz pointing out Nyas's gender quickly faded as she jumped to her feet from the bench and began to act out the event for Kazuma.
"She was so cool, all 'b***h!' and then Splash! There went the coffee, and the lunchlady was all like 'Eeee, I'm melting, melting, what a world, what a world!'" The cat ears bobbed and bounced on her head as she jumped around in demonstrastion, her chin length magenta locks flying. Kazz couldn't help but chuckle at the younger girl's excitement. Just how many times had she told this story already, he wondered.

EternalMisfit Inari stepped cautiously into the court yard. A new school meant new trouble and trouble meant Inari was bound to have to fight for her right to walk on some sort of path eventually. She waltzed over to the fountain and began circling it. Observing the direction that the water drained and where approxiamtely one would dig were they to alter such flow. Reversing it and creating a din of voices as multiple counselors or even the dean...whomever ran this place, discovered their precious Athena to have been tampered with. Athena...geez, they would have to choose her.
The teen knelt down where the source was. No sign og power could be made present, but Inari, with some thoughtm would figure it out. She always did. In the mean time, she figured it proper to make accquaintances...but seeing as to how most students despised nerds, Inari chose to sit on a bench and take her chances of meeting people through solemn silence.

Nyas wandered into the courtyard and looked around. She reached over her head and cracked her back, still trying to ease the ache from the shocking. She saw a few students lingering here and there, but she wasn't really paying attention. She was more just strolling along aimlessly. Why? Hell if she knew. Just couldn't stand the place and if she sat up in her room any longer she was bound to hurt someone or something. She folded her arms behind her head, singing some song or another she couldn't remember the name of. She wondered briefly if this school had a chorus group or something. She snorted. As long as it wasn't some sort of Choir. She continued singing as she walked, scuffing at the occasional tuft of grass. She smirked, randomly recalling the bout with Akimoto. He'd have that black eye for a good week.

Miko froze mid bounce, her expression lighting up as if someone had just named her queen of the planet. Without a word she picked up running, a hand instincitively rising to her head to keep the headband still. it was like second nature.
Kazz's eyes widened in surprise as he smashed his gigarette butt in the ashtray beside the bench. "oi, Miko, what the hell?" He'd never seen the girl shut up so suddenly, He spun around on the bench, following the petite girl with his eyes.
There a few things in the world that are quite the destructive force as one highly excited Miko Nanahara. Running at full speed at an unsuspecting target...well...let's just say the collision was fantastic. Miko's tiny feet actually lifted off the ground as she launched herself at the unwitting Nyas, locking her arms around the older girl's waist as momentum sent both the girl tumbling into the lush emerald green grass.

Nyas had just taken a breath to continue her song when, for the second time today, her air supply was driven from her lungs with the force of a frieghter hitting her at full speeds. She found herself belly-up in the green grasses before the pink locks and cat ears could register. As she instinctively went to grapple her small assailant, she froze.
"Oi! Miko-chan! The ******** are you doing, girl?" she said with a laugh, trying to disentagle herself from the girl's surpisingly strong grip. "Ack! Lemme go! I'm still sore, ne? Max volts takes a toll on ya when ya get hit so many times!" she continued to try and get a grip on Miko's hands to detach her so she could stand up.

Kaden walked out into the courtyard, his clothing still messy and undid for the most part, as his tie lay around his neck not tied shirt untucked and partly un bottoned. Yet he didn't seem to care that he looked so slopy.

Miko disentangled herself from the older girl, smile still in place. You'd have thought the girl won the lottery or something as she readjusted the cat eared head band that had gotten knocked askew i the collison. She threw her arms around Nyas' neck as though they had known each other forever.
"Gomenasai, Nyas-sama," she replied, though she didn't sound very apologetic at all. In fact, she sounded quite delighted.
"Oi, Miko-chan, that poor girl never even saw you coming. Are you all right, miss?"
Kazz slowly came up two the girls in the grass, rubbing the back of his neck. He remebered one of his first meetings with Miko, that had had pretty much the same result. Miko was still fourteen at the time, though not much smaller, and his ribs had ached for two days after. The girl was like a tiny battering ram.

The echoed ringing of a clock disrupted Inari's careful thoughts. The genius snorted in annoyance and retrieved the schedule from her pocket to see that she should be headed for a math class. She was headed in that direction when a sign marking that the library was closer drew her in adn she decided to skip the class. She would feign forgetfulness due to the drugs later if needs be.

Kaden sighed, seemed it would be harder then he thought to make friends here. So many people yet no one even seemed to noice him...Even dispit his sloppy way of dressing, but that hadn't been for getting noticed that was smply he didn't know how to dress neatly.After all he never had to, as liveing on the streets you dressed in what you could find.

Nyas stood up and brushed off her clothes, ruffing the girl's hair as soon as she had the cat ears in place again.
"Oi, Miko! I'm sore like you wouldn't believe! No more jumping on me, ne?"
She straightened the tie and her improvised bandana before looking up at the light-haired young man approaching them. She raised a dark brow high over one green eye.
"I'm fine. Hell, if it weren't for the fact that I had detention with that gorilla-man Aki-something, I wouldn't have given two rats' asses."
She jerked her head to the side with a sharp crack and grinned.
"Eee...but I gave that b*****d his own. Serves him right, throwing his weight around. If he'd just unchained my ankles, I woulda given him a helluva lot more than a lost tooth and a black eye."

Miko's eyes widened in amzement.
"Aki-something? Oi, you mean Taiki-sama?! EEEEE!" The girl squeeled in excitement, drawing a few startled glances from passing students and staff.
"You took on Taiki-sama?!" She threw her arms once more around the girl's neck, even more enamored than before. She had to stand on tip toe, and her hands did not quite touch, but she didn't care. She just knew to jump next time.
"Oi, Kazz-kun, didn't I tell you she was super cool?" Her baby blue eyes instantly locked on the boy, expecting nothing less than amazement. At least in this instance, she was not disappointed.
Kazuma's eye were wide in surprise. Surely the girl was exaggering. True, she was tall, and since Miko was drawn to her she was probably a tough sort as well. Still, she was making more of what happened, she had to be.
He opened his mouth to say as much when the announcement blared over the louder speaker that all gym and health classes were cancelled until further notice. He looked at Nyas again, this time in a new light.
"Wow," he replied simply.
Miko was incredulous.
"Wow? Wow? That's all you have to say? Wow? Geeze, and you call yourself a songwriter? How about 'Sagoi, Nyas-sama! You're great!' or something! " She scowled when the boy snorted and stormed over, giving him a sharp kick in the shin.
"Sagoi, Nyas-sama!" the teen insisted, ignoring Kazz's surprised yelp of pain.
