((Sweet, I hope that you're still online Lu))
Musashi didn't smirk, nor did he show any emotion at all even though he was ready to explode with excitement on the inside. He knew exactly who these two men were upon closer inspection. They were Yoshitsune Minamoto and Benkei Musashibo! How they got here he didn't know, nor did he care, but Benkei was legendary for his ability to use more than one different weapon and Musashi even chose his name by chopping the "bo" off the end of Benkei's family name. The thought of getting to fight his childhood idol was almost too much to handle to the point where when he reached for his long sword he mistakenly cracked a smile.
"Yes, I will fight you here. You don't need to worry, I won't chase after Yoshitsune there without defeating you first." He slowly unsheathed his sword and held it in a stance similar to the way that Benkei held his naginata.

Yoshitsune stopped when he heard his name. He turned around and looked at the man more in depth. Benkei shook his head in surprise, this man knew who Yoshitsune was and that means that he probably knows who he is too. Suddenly it hit Yoshitsune, the scraggly hair, the swords and the unkempt look that the man had to him. He could only be one person: Miyamoto Musashi. Yoshitsune looked to Benkei and said, "Benkei, you should be careful, look at his eyes..."
Benkei cocked his head and said, "You don't need to worry about me, you go on ahead." He turned his attention to Musashi and said, "Okay then, let us do battle!" He stepped forward slowly, watching Musashi's stance and waiting for a first move.

Musashi knew what Benkei was doing. He was waiting for him to make the first move. It didn't matter to him since one of them will have to move eventually so it might as well be him. Musashi stepped forward and with a shout he struck out at Benkei's right shoulder horizontally, while making a side step to his left. He wanted to make sure that the sun was at his back for this duel and he wasn't at the right spot to begin with so his sidestep was the perfect manuver to do so.

Benkei quickly slid his hands left hand up the shaft of his weapon closer to his right hand and moved the blade to the left, slanting the bottom of the shaft toward the ground and blocked the blow. He slanted the shaft so that the attack would not go higher toward his head if it was slightly rising, and would be diverted away if it was slightly droppin in angle. He quickly spun his weapon, knocking Musashi's blade up and away, then cut down toward his opponent's legs.

Musashi regained control over his sword quickly and as Benkei brought his blade down to cut toward Musashi's legs Musashi quickly let go of his longsword with his left hand and slid his short sword out from its sheathe, aiming to block the blow with his second sword. Meanwhile his long sword was brought accross and he slashed at Benkei's arm. He knew that he would cut his arm off if he didn't stop so he halted the blade right at the skin, not cutting him at all, but so close that you could barely even fit a grain of rice between the blade and his arm. Musashi didn't shift his eyes at all, but coolly muttered, "It's nice to meet you, Benkei, my name is Musashi, Miyamoto Musashi of the School of Two Swords."

Before Musashi could speak Benkei parried his block and sort of mimiced Musashi's move by cutting for Musashi's knee but stopping his blade short of a blow not more than a second after Musashi pulled the move with his arm. He smiled and said, "It seems that this here is a stalemate. Musashi... You already know who I am but I can't say I've heard too much about you. I heard of someone named Musashi or something like that who has never lost a duel, but I thought it was just lore and nothing more. But you... You must be him." Benkei observed the situation and found it funny that neither of them would have dealt a fatal blow but neither of them wanted to hurt the other too badly for fear of getting hurt himself. He was sure that someone with Musashi's eyes really didn't expect to get out of that situation unharmed.

Musashi nodded slowly, "Yes, I am him." He said and jumped back away from both attacks. "And I would love to continue this battle..." He said as he lunged forward with both swords. He slashed out downward toward Benkei's left shoulder and would follow through with a horizontal slash from the Benkei's right side, which was aiming to preoccupy Benkei's weapon.

((I have to get off now but I'll post once more))
Benkei took a step back and blocked the downward slash with the blade of his naginata and placing the shaft of his weapon where Musashi's short sword was headed then held his weapon horizontally with one hand, putting Musashi's short blade on top of the shaft and his long blade underneath it. From there he held the naginata with one hand and reached for his own katana, whipping it out and holding it back-handed with the hilt forward. He brought it up, catching Musashi's sword between his naginata and his katana.

Musashi was in awe over what Benkei had done. It was something that no one had ever done to him before and it was impressive. He knew that if he pulled his sword out he would probably get his arm sliced off in the process. Think fast, Musashi, you need to get out of this. He made his decision. Instead of continuing to fight with both swords he would have to abandon his katana for now. He quickly let go of his sword and reached for his belt, from there he grabbed a small knife and threw it at Benkei's neck. Once the knife was thrown he jumped back next to his bag. He slashed at it with his wakizashi to quickly open it and reached down to grab his tachi, a longer sword: the true Japanese longsword. From there he brought it up and held it in the upward stance to see if his attack on Benkei was fruitful or if he was being charged by the large legend.

Date watched as they started to fight back. Some men were outside the gate fighting his own men, and they weren't doing half bad. Then they started to fire gunpowder at his soldiers like before... "Musketeers advance, take out those archers on top of the wall! Building team, hurry up with that ram! And you, Captain! Don't let anyone leave, take a small unit of 100 men and circle around the city. No one will be let out, you hear me?" The soldiers did and he said and the Captain took some men around the city. Messengers were fleeing like crazy toward the west and his unit rushed them. Seven messengers were killed but one got away! The captain arrived back by Date's side, "Sir, we were able to kill seven messengers that were heading west, however one got away and..."
"Enough!" Date slapped the messenger across the back of the head lightly with his bokken. It wasn't an injury but is sure hurt! "Get back to work, see to it that no one else leaves!" "Yes sir!" The captain departed and patrolled the countryside, making sure to watch for stragglers from the city.
Date still sat atop his Arabian steed, waiting for his orders to be completed. Then the young female commander jumped down and began her attack on his men. He watched and called out, "Push harder toward her!" He pointed his sword in her direction. "She's just a young woman! Don't let her dishonor you by becoming defeate by her!" The samurai turned and fought hard in her direction. Date was determined to make things difficult for her.

====Guan Xing====
Guan Xing began to rally troops around him, many he recognized as the volunteer group from before. Finally, when he felt he had some substantial numbers, he hurridly marched the men towards a nearby gate to secure it. All the while, he continued to yell out commands to troops around the city.
As he and his quickly made unit neared the gate, he noticed Xing Cai fighting off samurais. He smiled in admiration of her strength. She would probably be the only woman he knew that he would not want to fight. But then, he noticed that the intentions quickly turned toward her. She would be in trouble unless she could get help quickly.
Guan Xing pointed his spear at the gate. "Hurry! Protect Lady Cai!" he yelled out. His men followed his orders and hurried their rush towards the gate.
====Zhou Cang====
Zhou Cang growled angrily, mostly at himself, but he continued to curse it on the invaders. He knew that this was his fault, he should have been more careful. But nonetheless, it was too late to regret. He grabbed his three bladed spear and mounted on the horse that was given to him. Aides stood by, ready for his command.
"What are you waiting for?" he glared at them annoyedly. "Go out there and do something."
"Yes sir!" they said in unison, saluted and left to tame the flames.
Zhou Cang placed on his helmet and had his armor finally strapped onto him. He let out a deep sigh as he looked at the chaos around him. "Time to show these fools what Zhou Cang is all about!" he said before he charged off to the fray.
====Tadakatsu Honda====
Tadakatsu had much of the Tokugawa army with him. As soon as the infantry of Date went to engage, he sent his as well. He didn't go instantly however, and stayed back to wait. Though he wanted to fight, he wanted to see how these natives would fight. He then noticed that the samurai who had asked to come along was with him still.
"Still here?" Tadakatsu remarked as he noted the samurai.
Minamoto Uesugi stared off at the battlefield, observing the fight that went on. "I was awaiting for your orders to send the No Dachi," he said.
Tadakatsu looked over at him with a raised brow. "You are the only No Dachi here," Tadakatsu said. "Why do you need to await such a command?"
Minamoto shrugged. "I guess I am just used to it," he said. "Do you want me to go out sir?"
Tadakatsu returned his gaze back to the field. "If you wish."
Minamoto wielded his No Dachi which he had casually hanging over his shoulder. Without further words, he charged out into the fray as well.

There were so many of them! Cai continued to defeat these men but they just kept on coming! As she looked around, she realized that most of the flow of men was heading strait for her. She should expect this, and just as Musashi had warned her before she continued to gaurd her neck as that was what was mainly being targeted. It made it easier to predict what her enemy was going to do, or at least just a little.
Cai was having trouble keeping up with the flow of enemies that were coming out at her. And to add to her horror she spotted more enemy reinforcements! Gritting her teeth she prayed to Fu Xi and Nu Wa to keep her messangers safe, and for them to win this battle.
More... too many! But no, she couldn't give up! She'd trained too hard to just die here! Sucking in air through her teeth she ran forward, stabbing several men into her fork while pushing others aside with her sheild. Cai saw the glimmer of a sword out of the corner of her eye and ducked down, landing on her shield. The youngest Shu officer pushed her feet against the ground, using the smooth surface of the shield to slide and jump back up. Then she made a horizontal movement with her fork, stabbing several men in the process. She drew her fork back and ducked, then drove her fork up into a man's rib cage. Silently praying for the gods to forgive her for such violence she swung her weapon, sending the body into other men who were running out at her. She put her shield up as a sword came out at her and fell down again, leaving her vulnerable. She rolled off, however men were closing in on her. She wouldn't have enough time to stand up! Tightening her jaw she rolled onto her shield, tightened her grip on her fork and then kicked her feet hard against the ground to make her spin. She held her fork out and knocked down the men who'd surrounded her, then kicked her feet against the ground again to get back up again. She flipped by accident and landed on her feet, almost twisting an ankle.
'I've never done that before....' Cai thought to herself, although this was made while she continued fighting. She could not stop to pause and think. And while this was true, she didn't have much time linger on it.
'Everyone else is trapped against the walls.' Xing Cai thought to herself as she ducked to miss having her head cut off and decapitated the man who'd tried to do it to her in return. She'd already noticed that she'd been surrounded, and she was being effectively cut off from the rest of her army. 'I'm not quite sure how long I can last out here... but I must do my best!' These words were true, she had to do her best. But her only question was for how long she could do this. Cai had never fought like this before, and she now knew how her father and uncle fought so valiantly on the battle field. But how long would this strength last her? She was hurt, only minor injuries, but it only took one good blow to end it all. 'I hope that I can get some help soon....' Cai thought to herself before glancing back and watching as Guan Xing and Zhou Cang came out. Finally, reinforcements! Unfortunately, no one from Xia Pei. Her messangers... they must have all been killed. It appeared as if Xia Pi would be standing on its own in this battle, and Cai simply hoped that they weren't losing as badly as they appeared to be. But she would not let a single gate break. If they broke through, it would be after she was dead.
||I could totally pull out the craziest stunts in this, too bad Xing Cai isn't very experienced yet. =P I'm already pushing it with what I did right now. Heh heh.||

Benkei leaned back and turned his head away from the flying knife just in time to dodge a fatal blow. The knife sliced into his neck enough to make it bleed, but it didn't cut deep enough to do more than cause some sligt discomfort. He regained his composure to see Musashi reaching for his tachi. Benkei smiled at this fighter. Musashi was definitely an interesting opponent. He sheathed his katana for later use and rushed forward, naginata held in a lower side stance ready for a stab. He used the naginata's range advantage and thrust it forward toward Musashi's gut while remaining far enough away to not get cut without a leap from Musashi.
Meanwhile Yoshitsune watched as they fought but realized that it was time to get going. He looked around and spotted the soldiers inside the city rushing about when suddenly a group of Chinese men spotted them on top of the wall. They assembeled and climbed the stairs, spears and swords ready for a fight. They would defend this city with their lives and Yoshitsune knew this by the looks on their faces. He reached for his two swords and quickly drew them out, holding one forward in his right hand and the one in his left was held back-handed. He watched the approaching men carefully and when they got close enough the spearmen thrust their spears forward over the shoulders of the swordsmen. He leapt up and cut down, slicing two speard in half with his sharp blades, then landed right in front of the swordsmen. They slashed out, cutting the air as he dodged their attacks. In return he cut a deep gash in one man's arm with his right hand then quickly cut accross his chest with the same sword. He threw his body into that man and used him as a block between him and the other soldiers to the man's right. Yoshitsune spun around and thrust his left handed sword deep into the spearman's chest who stood behind them. He quickly pulled his blade out of the spearman and swung his other sword around, cutting into the spearman's neck. The two men fell over dead, leaving three other men, two spearmen and one swordsman. He looked left to an attacking spearman, swinging his spear horizontally at Yoshitsune. Yoshitsune dove into a roll and cut out the man's knees then thrust his blade up into the man's head through his lower jaw then removing it to bring it up to block the last swordsman's attack. He blocked then parried the attack and brought his blades to an X shape to slice at his neck. The man fell dead with blood seeping out of the two gashes on either side of his neck and this left the spearman. Yoshitsune began to make his attack but the spearman quickly turned and ran at the sight of his four comrades' deaths. Yoshitsune stood up straight and watched the man run off. He figured he might as well let him live since right now he didn't pose any threat to either him or Benkei. In fact, leaving one alive to tell the tale of Yoshitune would benefit him more than harm him in the future.

Musashi slapped the naginata down with his wakizashi just long enough and low enough for him to lift his foot up and stomp the blade down to the ground. He leapt forward and slashed out horizontally toward Benkei's neck with his tachi.
Date watched as the pretty young officer fought her way through his troops with anxiousness. "C'mon! Press harder! First person to bring me her head gets to keep it for whatever purpose they want!" He smiled evilly, that ought to get the men to fight harder. He tightened the pressure on his horse's flanks and rode forward toward Cai slowly. If his men could beat her that's great, but if not he'd have to fight her one handed, and that's fine too. Meanwhile his men had finally assembled a ram and they were weeling it up to the northern gate. "Attack!" Yelled the Ram commander as they pulled back the massive ram. It came slamming into the gate with great force, but the gate was rather sturdy to begin with and the logs that had been put behind it were in place, making it even tougher to open.

====Guan Xing====
Guan Xing rushed on foot for he had no time to get his horse. The situation was becoming dire. The enemy was starting to close in on Xing Cai's flanks and soon she'd be surrounded. There would be almost no hope for her then. He could only shudder at the thought of what Zhang Fei would do then...
He first came to a soldier who didn't notice him, but still in his way. He lunged his spear into his gut, reaching to teh other side. He used his foot to remove the spear, leaving the man on the floor bloodied and twitching as his life drained away. Then, another noticed him. This man stabbed at Xing with his spear, Xing parried the spear to the right, then swung up into the soldier's chin. It cut through the bone and up to the nose before the swing stopped. The man cried out in horrid pain, dropping to his knees as his jaw was just split in half. To end his misery, Guan Xing pulled back and stabbed him in the chest.
It seemed the situation was getting worse as he went. Even with his band of reinforcements, the enemy was pressing harder and harder. Then as he pressed forward, a soldier fall to the ground next to him. Guan Xing quickly finished him off and made his way near Xing Cai. She was surrounded, this was not good. A soldier went in to swing at her from behind, but Guan Xing stopped him by stabbing him between the shoulder blades. He passed the man and stood protectively next to Xing Cai.
"Are you alright?" he asked her while parrying another sword that came at him.
====Minamoto Uesugi====
This battle was for glory. He'd have to target the head that would grant him the most, and by what he heard from Date, that girl was his best target. It was strange that a girl would be so resiliant in battle, slaying numerous soldiers that came at her. But no matter to him, in battle, all were equal, and he would grant her no mercy.
He placed his No Dachi bellow his hip, holding it with both hands and ran in. She was surrounded, this would make it easier for him to get a kill.
====Tadakatsu Honda====
Date was on the move. Meaning it was his time to go as well. He turned his forces and headed for the north gate. He had a nice force, many from Mikawa who had given their undying loyalties to Ieyasu Tokugawa. As soon as that gate broke, his men would swarm in like a plague of no other.
