Wind Walking - While it might look like flying, Syena's ability is actually not categorized as flying by Winduria. He is simply able to walk on air if he wills it. While it is faster than walking, he is unable to use this ability when in a location with completely stagnant air.

Air Purification - He is able to purify the air around him, up to about a 200ft radius around him. This was his primary purpose in the war, and has become extremely strong as such.

                                                            Personality
Even when he was small, Syena has had the personality of a wet blanket. Since a young age he has always taken rules and guidelines very seriously. He wasn't quite so rigid when he was still small. Occasionally he was convinced to bend the rules. As he grew older, a sense of both duty and anxiety compelled him not to stray or overlook the rules. Due to this serious nature it can be difficult to tell if he is having fun, as he doesn't tend to show it in his face and actions. This also benefits him, as he is able to keep a poker face when he is around people of other kingdoms who disgust him. It is easy for him to get lost in a spiral, and startles easily once he's gotten lost in his thoughts.

Political Opinion Syena is a particularly racist individual, though not only against his country's enemies. He takes issue with the Martians and the Funkazan for their savagery. Chronos, on the other hand, is filled to the brim with godless heathens in his eyes. Musique has practices that disgust him, though he hasn't voiced his opinion on the matter. There is a special place in Windurian hell just for the people of Corthyr and their foul practices. Stilicidium, in his opinion, is primitive at best. He has an opinion for every kingdom, and even for some people in his own kingdom.

                                                            Biography
Being the crown prince has always been a burden on Syena's shoulders. Ever since he can remember he has known that many lives would one day rest in his hands, and the pressure on him grew with each passing year. He didn't always spend his days concentrating on his duties and studies, but as he grew older he slowly drifted away from his family to carry the weight of his country, much to his father's delight.

At fifteen his father relinquished his hold on the decision making of the country, but not his title leaving Syena still the crown prince. The crown prince who for educational purposes was making decisions for the entire country during a war. The stress became too much for the teen, and he started looking for methods to cope without having to admit that something was wrong. Shame filled him at the thought of his sleepless night and the beast that sat on his chest and kept him from breathing. It was then that he turned to martial arts, finding a meditative form that soothed him while it made him stronger. Unfortunately, despite honing his body and mind every day, he was unable to keep the stress at bay and it started showing in his hair. He was slowly going gray at sixteen years old.

As he grew stronger, it was quickly noticed by his father. Not only that, but Syena's unique ability to purify the air around him. Realizing what an asset his son could be on the battle field against the snakes in Corthyr, the king took back decision making in the kingdom and sent his heir out to the front lines. Syena was strong, he said. The crown prince could handle being on the front lines with his mastery of martial arts and his unique ability to prevent a score of soldiers from dying to poison gasses. It was brutal on the battlefield, and whatever brown hair Syena had quickly grew in a perfect white.

It seemed like another average day when the cease fire was called. Even crazier, his father summoned him home nearly immediately. He had barely been home a week before the school was announced. Or maybe it had only felt like a week. It had been so much to return to, his missing sister suddenly found and his once torn family complete again. It seemed like such a short time home before he was sent away yet again, this time to an academy he didn't believe in to see if they could make something out of this farce of peace.

She can fly without the need for wings, or hover at her leisure, and can even make it look like she’s walking in mid-air for fun. Personality
The kind of person who has difficulty not wearing her heart on her sleeve; she cares hard and loves harder, and when her loyalty is gained it’s for life, or near enough. She can forgive the ones she loves nearly anything, and can be excessively protective of them; if she’s crossed, she has a well of spite a mile deep that she’s willing to dip into, and often it only escalates the situation. She’s typically loud and competitive, with a stronger sense of justice than may be expected from her considering her upbringing, and expresses her affection through physical touch; however, she’s been attempting to be more subtle and lowkey in her efforts to be a worthwhile princess.

Political Opinion Having grown up with a crew of people from various nations, Willow is more inclined to take people as they come instead of tossing them all into one large assumption. That being said: Chronos is full of cheats who must be nerfed at all costs, Mercurians talk fast but their hands move faster and that is a problem, Musique is a nice place to visit but not to live in, Luna is nuts in both the best ways and the worst (she should know, she grew up with a Looney), Thah is…uhhh, she should avoid Thah, Shahiti has a great black market, and Stilicidium is cool. The other countries? Ehhh, they’re okay. Could be better, could be worse.

                                                            Biography
When the princess of Winduria was three years old, the worst sort of scoundrels kidnapped her during a parade celebrating the birth of the nation. They fled past the country’s borders beyond Winduria’s reach, and made their demands for a ransom. The royal family was advised against giving in, that doing so would only encourage and enable such behavior, but the king and queen were heartbroken to think of what their young child must have been suffering at the hands of such criminals, and sent forth a boat full of the wealth and goods stipulated for the exchange.

It went well at first, with the assigned guards demanding that the ruffians return the princess before they handed the boat over. The captain of the crew acquiesced, urging the girl into a guard’s arms, and they were granted leave to take the vessel. However, after a towline was secured to the boat, the crew’s ship began to rise into the air, casting a shadow against the moon. The image of the princess wavered and weakened in the dark, the illusion cast upon her falling apart to reveal that what the guard held was not the princess, but a monkey draped in the princess’s finery! Horrified, they attempted to give chase, but the sky ship vanished, as did Princess Liu’en.

For as long as Willow could remember, the Moonwisp had been her home, and its crew her family. For Willow, “Captain” was synonymous to “mother,” as was “Doctor” to “father,” and everyone else aboard acted as her aunts, uncles, and cousins. Of course, she was obviously the favorite (and only) child of the crew, and she took full advantage of it. She was a little terror upon the deck, and if at least two pairs of eyes weren’t on her at any given moment, she’d be climbing the mast, rifling through people’s effects, squeezing herself into the barrels of cannons, or jumping overboard to bounce on the safety net that had been installed beneath the railings for precisely that reason. Having a child on the Moonwisp had been a steep learning curve for them all, especially when she began to fly. She gained the nickname Li’l Moonwisp after the first time she was allowed to soar beside the ship, for surely one day she’d be able to carry them all just as well!

Certainly, living aboard a pirate ship wasn’t all fun and games for a little girl, but she was always ushered below deck or into the captain’s quarters when a fight broke out, or battle began, or if the crew was partying too hard to mind their manners nearly so much around a small child. It was boring, but she usually had Doctor Raphel to keep her company, and he was always very patient and willing to play whatever game she came up with on the spot. He also had the best stories, but it was never him who told her the tale of her origins, that was always Captain Lindethiel, who enjoyed regaling her and the crew with it at any celebration they held. It usually involved finding a baby tangled in the sweeping branches of a willow tree, learning she brought good luck and fortune amidst an exciting battle, and then bringing her aboard the ship, but Willow had loved it, even when she began to grow too old to fully believe in it anymore.

As she grew older, she began to insist on taking on more responsibility aboard the Moonwisp, and especially on learning how to fight so that she could further assist the crew, but the captain initially resisted, insisting it was too dangerous…at least until Willow proved she was capable after receiving secret lessons from their best swordsman. From then on, Willow was truly a part of the crew and their swashbuckling adventures, participating in heart stopping fights, swiping loot out from under people’s noses, and fleeing from the authorities as needed. She took on other roles aboard as well, such as ushering in clouds to hide the Moonwisp during the day, helping to steer it during stormy weather, and keeping lookout. It was all much as the stories the crew had entertained her with growing up, but Doctor Raphel had nurtured a kinder heart in her than was perhaps wise, so sometimes the opportunities they pursued unsettled her in ways that were hard to pinpoint at first.

The thing about children is that they never grow up quite the way a caretaker may expect, and Captain Lindethiel certainly wasn’t prepared for Willow to start questioning her decisions on as many jobs as she did. It started explosive rows that would last for days, but perhaps Lindethiel was growing soft in her older age, because she began to relent to Willow’s bullheadedness. Not on everything, not nearly, because they still needed food on their plates, the ship to remain in the air, and a bit of spending money, but enough to let the teen feel she was being heard, and enough to start making more enemies than they really needed. They interfered in sieges, in slave transportation, in supply lines to armies, and in preventing the willful slaughter of people whose only crime was living in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was only a matter of time before those who profited off of the war decided to turn far more of their attention to the little airship zipping from coast to coast.

As it happened, they eventually fell into a Windurian trap in the middle of the day, the worst time for the Moonwisp, against abilities that could counter Willow’s. The ship was brought to ground, and the crew captured and charged with piracy. It was a death sentence, one that Willow was willing to follow the crew into, so one could imagine her shock when Captain Lindethiel loftily declared that they should dare not execute her…for she was Princess Liu’en, alive and well. Unable to fully comprehend what was happening nor why, Willow incredulously called her out for being a liar even as the guards found the special pendant she had worn her entire life–one that had come from the royal treasury, and had gone missing with Winduria’s princess–one that she had thought had been a gift from Lindethiel to ensure her safety when she was first brought aboard the Moonwisp as an infant. She screamed to be reunited with the crew as she was escorted away to be transported to someone who could verify her identity, but not a single sailor of the Moonwisp could quite meet her eyes.

The official ordered to assess her turned white as a sheet upon laying eyes on her face, for she too closely resembled the king for it all to be a coincidence, and the more officials she met, the more those around her were convinced she truly was Princess Liu’en returned from the grave. All too soon she was brought before the royal family in their lofty castle above the clouds, where the king and queen welcomed her warmly and wholeheartedly as their daughter. She still couldn’t believe any of it. She demanded to be returned to her true family, but as far as they were concerned they were her true family, and they quickly set about preparing her for the role of princess. She had over a decade of lessons and life experiences to catch up on, after all!

Now confined where she once could sail from across the continent and beyond at the crew’s whims, it was difficult adjusting to all the rules she was suddenly being pressured to learn. What to wear, how to speak, who to speak to, what the latest trends were, how to hold herself with a demure, elegant demeanor, and hold intelligent conversation or act like a dumb sow as necessary…it frustrated Willow to tears, and her mood was not improved by the fact that no one would confirm for her the fate of Moonwisp’s crew. Over the next several months she gradually began to believe that perhaps she was Princess Liu’en, stolen away at three and now miraculously returned to the royal family alive, but it only split her heart further on the matter. She still loved the crew even as she was told of what monsters they were, and she desperately missed her life aboard the ship…but how much of it had been a lie? Had anyone on board truly loved and cared for her, or had she always just been a potential card up Lindethiel’s sleeve to play when it was most profitable for her? And did the answer truly matter?

She had been working on a plan of escape from the palace when the invitation to Utopia arrived, and that only put the fire of urgency in her when she learned she would have no choice but to attend as Winduria’s first princess. The night she went to take action, she was stopped by her father, who had apparently been keeping a close eye on her just in case she made a move to flee, or was captured again. He told her that the crew of Moonwisp had had their executions delayed in order to get more information out of them, and offered to make a deal with her. He couldn’t promise to take them off death row, but if she stayed, and if she did well in Utopia, they would remain imprisoned long enough to provide her the answers she sought once her time at the academy was done.

Willow didn’t fully trust it, but she agreed.

His parents had him on a tight leash so he felt like he could never truly express himself. But deep down he just wants to relax and breathe. He's very easy-going and loves to be around people.

                                                            Biography
When Oliver was five years old he was adopted by the king and queen. His older brother, Syena, was a prodigy. In Oliver’s eyes, the crown prince could do no wrong. Oliver spent a couple of years following his brother around before their powers started to develop and Oliver realized there was no way he could compete with his brother.

Even though he stopped competing with his brother, he was secretly jealous. It seemed like no matter how terrible his brother was underneath, everyone looked up to him; including Oliver. His parents had created two arranged marriages for Syena while Oliver was always seen as the baby needing to be protected. He knew little about the princess' kidnapping but as the years grew on it made sense with the way his parents treated him. They rarely let him leave the castle, and even then it was with multiple armed guards.

Oliver longed to be his own person. He was poor at combat which left him out of the war but found an interest in medicine. He practiced on his dolls and servants with minor injuries. He managed to learn first aid and assist others his way. He wanted to go outside the castle and use his new abilities to help others. His parents forbid it as Oliver had no combat skills or abilities and refused to go with multiple bodyguards. Oliver eventually figured out ways of sneaking out on his own. He was surprised to see what a big world there was outside the kingdom. He begged his parents to see more of it however, they always refused.

Frustrated, Oliver discovered his second power. The ability to transform into something that could help him be free. The first couple of times, Oliver may have had a few mishaps, crashing into a tree or two. One time he fell hard and cut his face hard. He had told his parents it was because of a fencing accident but his parents knew better. His window was now locked and he always felt like he was being watched.

A year before starting at Utopia, his long-lost "sister" returned! Meeting her was a bit of a culture shock as she had spent so much time outside the castle and seemingly enjoyed it. The two became close as he attempted to teach her about castle life and in turn, she taught him about the adventures to be had outside the Kingdom. When the invitations were sent out, he was initially excited about the opportunity to see life outside Winduria. Then he realized it also meant he couldn't "escape" to his safe space outside the castle anymore and this left him feeling reluctant to leave.

His abilities are particularly weak compared to others of his bloodline, however; even his greatest whirlwinds would only be able to knock down a handful of combatants at best.

Death Sight - Haruka has found himself sporadically seeing vague imagery around others involving closeness to death. This can be either pertain to their physical state, killer intent, or simply how much blood has been shed by their hands. Haruka presently sees this as nothing more than a visualization of his intuition, brought on by the struggles he faced during the war.

While attentive, He's rarely one to take the action of his own accord, preferring to follow orders, but will do so if he believes his superiors would approve. Haruka is dutiful to a fault, and rarely speaks out against those of higher standing than him. Although naturally rather gentle, he knows that his opinions matter not in such situations. Weapons are meant to be used, not argued with.

Political Opinion Haruka's political opinions are Winduria's. That is to say he follows his nation's views blindly, and knowingly so. He doesn't need much else. Their enemies during the war are his, and although he holds little personal vendetta he has no reason to align with anyone whose flag clashed with his own. His biases, however, do mean he has a degree of distrust towards the other kingdoms.

                                                            Biography
Haruka was the firstborn son of the Konokaze family's latest generation. A noble family of strong military background spanning back several generations, Haruka was trained from birth to harness to one day become a strong leader for the family like his father was.

From a young age, Haruka was very quiet and observant. He lacked the traditional traits of a proud, ruthless Konokaze warrior, but there was hope for him at first. Haruka did what he was told without question, likely stemming from the fact that he was never shown a life otherwise. He understood what he had been brought into this world for and accepted the circumstances. He trained harder than a child should be allowed to and worked every day to prove himself a worthy successor. His demeanor, along with his dedication, meant that he picked up new skills at a breathtaking pace. Speaking purely of his physical capabilities, Haruka was regarded as a prodigy.

However, his lackluster aerokinesis was another matter entirely. No matter what methods they used to "encourage" the storm winds to gather, he could only ever muster a fraction of the great gales his father could at his age. And so, despite Haruka's desperate attempts to follow the expectations placed upon him, it was not enough. It was clear that his strength would never be able to come close to his father's, let alone surpass it. This was unacceptable.

Deemed a failure by the age of 10, the birth of Haruka's brother brought about a new and far more fruitful beginning for the Konokaze home. Even as an infant, the boy danced along the breeze as if he were a part of it. This was the child they were hoping for, someone who they could mold to be truly worthy of their legacy. And so it was that Haruka was stripped of his birthright, and his younger brother was named the new heir to the Konokaze bloodline.

In the years after his brother was born, Haruka was able to sense a fundamental change in his family dynamic but chose to look no further into it. He was a Konokaze, he would do what was asked of him. Nothing more, nothing less. When he was enlisted into the army by them, he thought of it as an opportunity to prove himself to them. With a diligent disposition, Haruka immersed himself in his role as a soldier of the Winduria army. Over time, he would carry out many acts for his country that others found issues with. Whatever the circumstances, however, Haruka accepted that these were simply his circumstances. That was all he needed, he told himself.

While he could not topple armies on his own, Haruka became a skilled and trusted warrior in his own right. Eventually that trust granted the young man a leadership role of his own. He was in charge of a small squad, still carrying out missions under orders of superiors but now finding himself responsible for people other than himself. This was the first time Haruka would truly get to spend time with others outside of his family and the various tutors he trained under growing up.

For a while, the group was little more than soldiers playing the roles assigned to them. But despite varied backgrounds and social standings, they came to an understanding that regardless of who they were outside of this war, here they were all fighting for Winduria. In that commonality Haruka felt a form of solace, having seen and been made to do things that previously made him waver in his convictions. But those were moments of weakness, as he saw it at that time. And in time, he and his squad became quite the opposite in their own right. They became more than one squad of many within a vast army: they were a team, with bonds of steel that would not falter. They were going to get through this war together or die trying. Or so Haruka thought.

One night, Haruka found himself waking up to sounds of movement in the middle of the night. The rest of the group had been drinking after a job well done, having been gifted a bottle of liquor after a long string of successful sorties, and were out cold. But not him. Grabbing his blade, Haruka stealthily sought out the figure or creature that had awoken him. Eventually catching sight of them, the figure did their best to escape the young royal's gaze. However, Haruka was able to keep pace with ease. Eventually the figure just stopped trying to run altogether. To Haruka's shock, it was one of his comrades.

His fellow soldier explained his intent to abandon the war front altogether, having grown tired of putting his life on the line constantly for a goal so vague he no longer understood it at all. He wished Haruka and the rest of their squad well, having not wished to sway anyone else's opinions other than his own. He even held his hand out to Haruka, asking for his comrade to come with him. He pleaded for his friend to run away with him, saying that the various atrocities they witnessed throughout the conflict as more than anyone should be asked to suffer through. That they deserved better for themselves. Haruka, however, was having none of it.

Desertion was treason. Treason was an act worthy of death. This was a fundamental fact beaten into him from an early age. Haruka was distraught. He did not want to perform such a duty, but it was the way things were. Could he really go against them? That would make him a traitor as well, would it not? Duty was all Haruka was; it was what kept him going through the horrors of war. And so, while his very soul hesitated at first...Haruka knew what he had to do. As did his comrade. Blades clashed violently for what seemed to be an eternity, and then...

Haruka Konokaze was officially stated to have brought the traitor to justice, returning to his squad a couple of days later. He and his squad mourned the loss of their dear friend in private, being forced to publicly renounce his name. This was painful, especially for Haruka, but it was necessary. All of this was necessary. It was what they were trained to do. Little did Haruka know, however, that the traitor was not the only one to die that day.

The battle between Haruka Konokaze and the deserter ended in a grim stalemate. Their blades pierced each other's chests simultaneously, their resolve of near-equal measure. But while the deserter perished mere moments after his body was pierced, Haruka just barely clung to life. Spies sent to watch him, but normally not to act, immediately brought his body back to his home. They knew that Haruka's death was a favorable result of his involvement in the war to their employers, but they also saw the young man fight tooth and nail for his country time and time again. However, their efforts would be in vain. By the time they got to the Konokaze house, Haruka had already passed away.

The details of what happened next are known to few, and the reasoning involved even less so. Some of the spies wondered if the Konokaze house finally acknowledged to themselves the inhuman treatment they gave their own child. Other, far more seasoned agents figured they might have feared that this gallant sacrifice could be seen as a sign of weakness.

Whatever the case, two things were certain: Haruka had been brought to the land of the living once more, and a large sum of cash had been spent.

To observers, Haruka seemed to be...Haruka. Still working tirelessly, still loyal. Internally, however, Haruka did feel something different about himself. When he looked at others, he could occasionally almost visualize the amount of blood that was on someone's hands with just a glance. He surmised that the horrors of war had simply caught up to him, a guilt that he could not acknowledge refusing to go unnoticed. This worried Haruka, but only in the sense that he thought it would impede upon his usefulness as a soldier.

Thankfully, there was not much war left to be a soldier in. It ended soon after Haruka's resurrection, and he returned home. Although he never chose to look much into it, Haruka could feel something...different about his home life now. Softer, yet somehow even more detached. A manufactured warmth.

When enrollment for Utopia Academy was available, Haruka volunteered himself, as his brother was still too young to attend. Protecting the royal family from international threats seemed to be one of the few uses his skill set still had in peacetime, and there was a part of him that felt the need to remain in some form of active duty. His parents asked him to reconsider at first, but after reviewing the staff list, decided to let the young man follow his heart on this one. It still seemed to be beating, after all, so why not let it beat for itself this one time?

Light Steps - Florence is able to expel light amounts of air beneath her feet allowing her to move faster, be more agile and take advantages of openings her opponents may have. She can also use this to help her reach higher distances if she's mid jump but only if she can get at least one foot against a solid service.

Erosion - By manipulating the oxygen in the air, she is able to speed up or slow down the erosion of a surface if she has the focus enough to do so. This is not limited to any type of surface but the more water there is in or on the surface the longer it takes to happen. She is also able to use this power to manipulate the shape of which rock or stone takes place after erosion. She uses this for her sculptures.

                                                            Personality
Coming from nothing, she has learned to be appreciative of what she does have. She is curious, likes to learn about those around her but is also very guarded. She thinks that often people are out to get her whether they are or not, and doesn't tend to be super friendly at first. She doesn't understand any forms of respect that she doesn't get first, except from nature itself. She deep down wants to be able to trust other people, and make friends but she is so out of her realm that she can't do anything but guard her own heart. She does find the lives of nobles and royals as curious, but she also doesn't understand the need for everything to be so fancy all the time. Isn't a simple life best? Regardless of how she feels about trusting others, she does have quite a bit of anxiety surrounding her self-worth. She was born into nothing, and as some people have told her, she should have remained nothing. So a part of her thinks she doesn't deserve this.

Political Opinion As of right now Florence knows little to nothing of other kingdoms. She was fighting her own battles in her little town so the rest of the world was of no concern to her. The only thing she has as an opinion is that the war was bad, as many of the less wealthy men and boys were forced to go and fight, especially those who were more capable.

                                                            Biography
Florence is the only child of her parents, she was born in the lowest of the lowest slums, with little to no money to speak of. Due to this her growth has been stunted slightly but she has never let it bother her. She was raised with love, and adoration, and while she wanted for the basics she never didn't have her family. Where she lived was ruled over by one particular duke who was a little too smart for his own good. Duke Quincy. He enjoyed torturing those below him, taking women as a wife before either beating and using them until they died or worse. This was common knowledge as he wasn't afraid of using it as a means to get people to behave. He would take what little some had, all in the name of "fairness" while not actually spreading it among the people and keeping it to himself.

Florence herself managed to keep a low profile, but when she was 14 she became involved in an underground fighting ring. There she was taught how to defend herself and later she began able to use her powers to help her in the ring. She never used them to strengthen her punches but she was capable and worked her way up the ranks. She would always come home after being out all day and return with money to support her family. She ended up becoming so popular that even the richer people who came to these events began to support her, in the end getting her better equipment and clothing but she never wore it back home because she didn't want to make her parents feel bad or draw attention to themselves.

Well, one night when she was fighting in a flash moment of weakness she was distracted because she swore she saw the infamous duke in the crowd. There was no way, she had to be imagining things. She went on with the night but as she returned in the morning, exhausted and worn out she was approached by her parents who said someone told on her. They knew what she had been doing and that the duke was coming today. They knew what for. Either money or her. Florence swore to her parents that she wouldn't let them get hurt and sure enough a couple of hours later the duke arrived. He demanded her hand in marriage, as well as all the money and prizes she had won as he had heard of her reputation. When she flat out refused he drew his sword and before he was able to bring it down on top of the girl, her father pushed her out of the way not knowing her capabilities. She was horrified as she watched her father be cut down in one blow and her mother breaking down in tears. She sat where she had landed, her eyes welling up with tears....and anger.

She went after the duke and after she yelled his name only laughed which angered her more. The ground around her began to erode as she ran up to him and even as he turned to face her she got a solid hit in on him, the man falling like a sack of potatoes. For all his talk he was fragile, weak. She wasted no time getting on top of him and when she beat him within an inch of his life she got an idea. She set her hand on his chest and with a furious look in her eyes slowly eroded his chest and eventually ended up killing him after watching him suffer the entire time. Even though her mother was horrified of what had just happened she ran to her daughter and everyone went and hid away in their homes, knowing someone would hear of this.

Sure enough not even that night, a group of soldiers came and discovered his body, and after interrogating a few people they found out who did it. They also found out about all the horrible things he had done. So within the next few days things changed; and suddenly there was a knock on their door and Florence answered it fully expecting to be carted off to a cell but she was instead praised and rewarded with a new title of her own. Duchess. As it turned out she was the child of the very duke that had been torturing her family. Because of her connection to the duke and the fact that he didn't have any other heirs to speak of, they granted her and her mother titles so there wasn't a shift in power. She was taken off guard but the only exception was that she or her mother were to reign over the area where they'd lived their whole lives and they quickly agreed. They were moved to the home where Duke Quincy, her birth father, had once lived, and on her 23rd birthday the war began to come to an end. She was offered a spot at the school and her mother urged her to go along because she'd never get an opportunity such as this ever again.

So, leaving her hometown in her mother's capable hands, she made her way to the school with only the clothes on her back, although her mother was able to get her new clothes for school and a few of her items. She doesn't know what to expect but she knows that she will be out of place. She is still up for the challenge and is looking forward to what the school brings.

↪ Wind manipulation - Ichirou can generate and manipulate winds of differing intensities, from too gentle to snuff a candle to powerful enough to create violent storms. When utilising this ability he can ride the wind for short distances. It is not true flight, but rather he uses the wind to propel himself into the air, glide, and control his speed. He most often uses this aspect of the ability in combat to more easily evade attacks and make his movements more difficult to predict.

↪ Whisperwind - Ichirou controls sound through the manipulation of the wind. He is able to silence his steps, hear across impossible distances, and send his voice across such distances as well, heard only by the intended recipient.

                                                            Personality
↪ Ichirou is very serious and not one given to much mirth. The responsibility of being the first born and his father’s heir weigh heavily on him, particularly as he well knows that his father would never acknowledge his younger brother as heir in his place. While Ichirou is unfailingly civil, he can be noticeably awkward around others, particularly females. When he can use other means to avoid direct communication, he often will.

Political Opinion While Ichirou will fight whomever he is told to by his kingdom, there are two kingdoms he genuinely detests. Phronese, known to purchase and trade in slaves, and Chronos, the bastards who often supplied them.

                                                            Biography
Ichirou was the first born of the Takanashi family and, as such, has always been expected to best serve the interests of his family and their kingdom. He never allowed himself to forget it and rarely allowed himself to relax. His father was tough on him, making him spend far more time with tutors than any of his siblings. When he was not studying, he was expected to practice kyūdō, iaidō, kendo, and jujutsu. He was pushed to be sharp of mind and strong in body, as well. Ichirou has always rose to this challenge without complaint. He was quiet, studious, and driven in his own right, even as a child, and so he welcomed the pressure. As a result of his time-consuming studies, and perhaps his dry and caustic personality, Ichirou had few friends while growing up. He rarely played at all and, when he did, he preferred only competitive games and sports. Ichirou did not want to play; he wanted to win.

As the boy grew older, he was given to rare, short-lived bursts of violent anger that most often manifested in his throwing the closest object at hand. It took much to rile him enough for the duke to react that way, but as the moods were always sudden and not always predictable, many of the servants have learned to be very quick on their feet when they cannot just avoid the brooding young man. Despite his moods, and his even more violent threats, Ichirou was loathe to actually harm anyone. The staff were not his enemies, after all; he knew his enemy, even at a young age.

There were very few people to whom Ichirou was at least slightly kinder, though his nature never really changed much. For his siblings, at least, the eldest son could show some softness. He loved each of them, in his own way, though he felt that he was very different even from his own family. Reina was so cheerful and kind, Yuujin so gentle and carefree, and sweet Chouko was always so lost in her dreams and swathed in the scent of baked goods. Ichirou was almost envious of them; he did not know how to be so innocent and childlike. He could only experience these traits vicariously and he became obsessively protective of his younger siblings and resistant to the notion that they might ever change. This obsession only worsened when the youngest, Chouko, was nearly kidnapped by Chronesian slavers.

Ichirou’s relationship with his parents, however, was quite different. His feelings for them were more of familial loyalty than the tender affection his heart felt for his siblings. As their eldest son, he would serve their needs and exceed their expectations; especially those of his father. Ichirou has never been willing to disappoint his father, except in one case. In his mid teens, Ichirou began leaving the duchy with a gang of youths loyal to his family in raids on Chronesian border towns. He was told, time and again, that his life was too important for him to risk it in impulsive attacks on their enemy, but Ichirou wouldn’t listen. He has harbored a blind hatred toward the other kingdom for years.

It was while he was out with his gang that Ichirou once disappeared for two weeks and when he returned, he was more sullen and withdrawn than before. He had a healing injury that he refused to show to anyone and would not allow to be touched. The duke was tight lipped about how he had received the injury, as well. Since that time, Ichirou never allowed anyone to attend him in the bath or assist him in dressing unless it was absolutely necessary, but that was hardly remarkable as he had always been standoffish and private.

Ichirou continued his raids, though less frequently, until his father informed him of the war coming to an abrupt end. He was told that he and his siblings were to attend a school with nobility from other kingdoms. Ichirou was livid; how could he be expected to live, eat, sleep, and study in the same spaces as the Chronesian filth that tried to take his sister and pretend that peace was an option? How could little Chouko, who now hid a knife under her pillow, be expected to do so? It was the first time that Ichirou openly defied his father, arguing that he would strike down the first Chronesian he saw if this was forced upon him. The response he received was not a gentle one. Unable to strike his father out of respect, Ichirou was subdued and humiliated; there was no choice left but to accept fate. But he took a small amount of solace from convincing his father to send only him and not his siblings.

Ichirou has many scars, most of them small and insignificant, but the largest is on the left side of his chest, just below the collarbone. It appears to have been made by a jagged knife. He avoids allowing that part of his body to be seen, or touched, even through clothing.
