I know I good bedtime story!

Bedtime story:
Once upon a time not that long ago lived a family of mice in a small house next to a big tree and close to a lake. It was winter and very cold, and the lake was completely frozen over. It was snowing and because of the cold most animals stayed inside just like the family of mice. The family wasn’t big. It was just a mom, dad and two daughters.

The youngest of the two, called Vinny, was white in color and was hard to see in the snow. She was in the attic of their home right now staring at a big trunk that was always there. She had always wanted to open it, but she never did. No, she felt it was time to see what was inside. She felt trapped inside the home that day and wanted something to do. She slowly opened the trunk and saw a lot of old stuff in it. A blanket, yarn, a few old books, someone old glasses. The books seemed to be about fairytales and she kind of liked that. The most interesting thing seemed to be the old blanket as it also seemed to have a story on it. It seemed to tell a tale of where to find the most valuable thing in the world and the last panel looked like a map. Sadly, she couldn’t really see the map as it was so very worn you couldn’t see much anymore. Vinny was now, however, determined to find the item. It was a story about this place, so it had to be found close by. She hoped that their old neighbor that lived on the other side of the lake knew more of the story and maybe knew the map.

She dressed warmly and went outside to visit Mr. Londin’s home. She was sure he was going to be inside his own home as well because of the weather. She walked over the frozen lake as it was shorter to Mr. Londin’s home this time of year. She noticed the ice cracking but was sure it was going to hold her as she was only small. It turned out to be wrong as she sank through the ice and ended up in the ice-cold water. She was somewhere under the ice and didn’t see where she could get above water and started to panic. She was really sure she would drown as she felt someone pulling her from the water and putting her on the frozen grass. Let’s get you inside to dry and warm up she heard a familiar and warm voice say. It was Mr. Londin who had heard someone crashing through the ice and came to help. You really scared me there little one he said and looked at me concerned. Are you okay? he asked, and Vinny replied yes, I’m fine! Thank you so very much for saving me.

Warmed up at Mr. Londin’s home, Vinny explained why she was here. She wanted to know if the had heard of the story of the most valuable thing ever. The old man laughed and said he did. He had the same blanket but one that was still readable. He showed it to her and the map seemed to lead to a place close by and the item seemed to be a diamond. The blanket didn’t show how big it was. Do you know how big that diamond is supposed to be? Vinny asked. Yes, I do the old man replied and with a big grin the showed her a trunk just like she had at home in the attic. She opened it and saw a very big diamond at the bottom. Come on pick it up Mr. Londin encouraged her. She did and looked at it with the sunlight in it. It was beautiful. So this is the most valuable thing ever? she asked. Mr. Londin smiled and said, look closely into the diamond. Vinny looked really closely and realized she saw letters in the middle of the diamond. It spelled a word. She slowly read it and saw F R I E N D S H I P. And that is the most valuable thing ever!

This dragon is a recluse! He does not socialize very well at all and would rather sneak off to cause mischief and disappear into the night with a crow-like cackle.

An astronomer, he spends many nights outside under the stars, looking for new galaxies and celestial events. He even has night, shadow, and celestial leaning magic, as a wizard. He has spent so much time looking at the stars that his magic shifted upon himself and gave him these beautiful starstruck markings. He hardly notices, though, because his gaze is ever-upward.

He does hoard things as a dragon should. Besides his array of telescopes and other nighttime instruments, he does enjoy figurines, staves, and other magical instruments, too. His favorite metal to use is silver, but will accept pewter for decorative items. He loves old coins, and will accept gold but still prefers silver.
