After lurking in this thread for a few hours, I've determined it to be safe to finally express something...
I came to terms last night that I just might be angelkin. I've had my suspicions for a year. My friend thought I might be a valkyrie. I was flattered and amused, but I don't think that is so. I've never felt a deeper connection with being "what" I was, so to speak, than anything else. I have wings, several pairs in fact. It's odd though, their "default" setting is angelic, but they'll turn into dragon wings when I'm working with my emotions, who usually take the forms of dragons. I've determined that this is just an ability and a reflection on those emotions, not what I actually am.
I'm new to this... so I'm not quite sure what to expect. Am I just crazy or is this real? ._. *hides shyly*

cowwwcowww Hello Azana, glad to see you are otherkin, looks like I chose the right person to help me. Your picture reminded me as otherkin, but I wasn't sure, guess I was right (Sweet, 1 point lol rofl ). Also angels don't even have to be religious to be angels, that is just who they are. P.S. There arn't alot of info online about angelkin or Angelics so forth, I havn't seen any books, but just because I havn't seen books doesn't mean they arn't out there. hail and well met friend angels. there is actually a book called "A dictionary of angels" i cant recall the name of the author tho, but it is a very fascinating book

Azana Brown Yagi Tessil *shrugs* I'm not offended by the comment, though, I can speak only on behalf of myself. The analogy of God as the Sun actually makes a lot of sense. The sun had traditionally held some significance to a lot of the early religions and beliefs from what I remember. The Ancient Egyptians did have a sun God after all, and the Greeks believed that (..Shoot..I don't remember..I'll have to play the Name-That-Deity bit here and take a wild guess..*no offence intended by the Name-That-Deity comment.*) Apollo and his chariot would bring the sun out into the morning sky and would cause it to set in the evenings..I think..*Clearly hasn't read Greek Mythology in a long while* But yeah, thanks for stating that whole Lucifer bit. But, I can see how that nickname actually makes sense for Satan with the whole "last to defy the power and brightness of the sun" thing. Invoking the power of the Angels on demand?..Doesn't that seem a little..selfish? I mean, if they were meant to receive divine assistance, wouldn't they only have to request it and if it were meant to be, it would be so? If this were the case, wouldn't they be..well..other than seemingly selfish and possibly greedy..Wouldn't they almost be altering fate and destiny by trying to force something to happen that wouldn't have otherwise been? *shrugs* Just a thought. I apologise if that didn't make much sense, though. It's early in ze morning and t3h Yagi-chan just got up. sweatdrop Selfish? Heck yes, it was selfish. But since when has selfishness stopped someone? I mean, look at the modern "I want it and I want it now" society. Get rich quick schemes, miracle diets, even magical dabbler all seem to just try and get their instant gratification and power. actually, a slight correction on those who work with magick. the people u see who just do a quickie spell and think it will fix everything in there lives, have absolutely no clue what the hell they are doing. i myself am what is called a natural witch, meaning i can cast a spell and it will work eventually. but like with all things that live and grow, a spell MUST BE GIVEN TIME TO MATURE!!!!!!! dont just cast and say " oh the spell is cast ok lets do another spell" bad idea. if u do magick in the way, the spell WILL back fire

I'm talking about the giggly teenage girl trying to cast a spell to get her crush to like her back, the boy who suddenly wants to be able to throw fireballs, or a John Doe trying to get a financial boost in the workplace. They all want instant, perfect results, without knowing that such things do not happen. It's one of many reasons the disbelief in magic is rampant.
