A little bit about yourself (can be anything, as short/long as you like!): I had a few years break from Gaia, and I’ve found on returning I’m drawn more to the dressing room/ avatar talk forums. I really enjoy seeing other people creativity with building avatars. I’m a bit of a shy person even online, I’m more of a lurker than a poster. I know this guild will probably grow but the smaller community is a bit less intimidating than the main forums for now so smile nice to meet you all! heart

What inspires your avatars?: Mainly just cute/matching things I can find. I will start with one item and build around it. What you hope to get out of the guild: I want a sense of community. Friends. Welcome! I took a super long break from Gaia and just came back a few months ago. I was the same way..it was hard to find a place to hang out in the forums. I have been really enjoying the community we are creating here in the guild though. Everyone is really nice and I enjoy seeing everyone's creativity. I hope to see you around entering the contests and joining the discussions/ghosting threads.

Welcome! I really like the sherbert scheme as well...any pastels really. I have a daughter who is 7 and I work full time. Right now I am able to work from home, which has been nice.

Name or Nickname: Age: 29 How long you've been on Gaia: 2006 Favorite Dress up item(s): I would have to say the Cygnus SDplus doll and Mizuchi's Jewel (specifically the Enko's Skin pose). I have used those items more than most other items in my inventory rofl What inspires your avatars?: Bright and colorful items/color schemes! I've always found it incredibly fun to pick items/colors and just go crazy with them! What you hope to get out of the guild: It'll be interesting to see other people's creativity~! I definitely like to look to others when it comes to inspiration!

Yes pastel colors are amazing! My little is 4 and I am working from home now too which is amazing. I enjoy working from home tbh.

It's Lyx, been here since the leap-day of 2004, and I'm double most of your ages. I can't tell you my favourite item, as it constantly changes. I'm very partial to anything cat, dragon, or Egyptian. I don't even have a favourite colour-scheme, but I tend to work a lot of ivory and off-white into my avatars, but even that is just a bit of a generalization. I know I just love to mess around with my inventory, as it's getting unmanageable, and as a micro-manager kind of person, I get kind of sucked down the rabbit hole.
Personally, I have a husband, no kids, two cats and a small, excitable dog named Millie. Pretty much our whole day revolves around the dog. lol I'm freshly retired, former elementary teacher. I am too young to be retired, but the whole covid stress, face to face with all kids this year made me realize I didn't have a lot of agency. So, I'm old enough to draw a reasonably good pension, but am allowed to work as well. I'll be applying to become a sub in the fall, and I'll decide how my week is shaped, and if cases get scary, I'll back off teaching until it's under control. Probably TMI, but haha.
Gaming-wise I love casual games, like Dear My Cat, and puzzle type games. I have a PS2, 3 and 4, and like to play older Square-Enix RPGs and the Persona series, but other RPGs, too. I used to roleplay when I was in my 20s, with a D&D group, and was also really into MtG in the mid to late 90s.
My favourite things to do: stand-up paddle-board, kayak (sit on top style), run and garden. Likely in that order.

Welcome! Oh man I was always worried about the teachers during the pandemic and in general. Just a tough job especially if you get some crazy parents. It is awesome that you have the flexibility to retire even if the circumstances weren't great. Have you played the Ni No Kuni series on Playstation (there are two)? If not I recommend since studio Ghibli did a lot of the animation.
