She was upset and the situation was about to burst. Hearing the words of the woman angered her. ¨All you are doing is spitting on his grave. You hold so much anger and resentment and yet you barely know him. Don´t make me laugh. Are you thinking he truly loved you? Sweetie this is pathetic. He was a nice guy who heard was only for the Night Stalkers. Besides, he was a man that could have any woman he wanted. Why would you think he want someone like you? I need you to get a grip and be available once Atlas comes. I should of noticed it before when the wolf held hostage at your place. What are you going to do ? Kill an enemy he could not kill? Cause more chaos ? Virulent would not want you to go for revenge... he put that away long ago... Let it go. You got to spend the last minutes he had on here with him. You have his ashes. His wolf won´t even leave your tree house. You have all that remains of Virulent besides everyone memories. Not even his daughter gets that. What more do you want? How selfish can you be? ¨ She asked, grabbing at Jackie´s risks.
The others around the party was just talking and chilling. Some walked past and would wave at Aeralin thinking that she was someone else while others flashed a smile. It was a somber event to say the least. Nothing good was said of Aeralin by the others but it was not fully bad. Just people feeling sad for her and sorry for her lost. Some unsure if she be able to claim head of the night stalkers. A few asked where she was while others did not. There were some uninvited guests though. A group in the distance from SHIELD, the same group that leader killed Virulent would come and seem to pay their respects to him by praying. Even though they were on opposing sides. Some wanted to attack and lash out but the older members made them stand in line. They were to stand down while the organization responsible for their leaders murder show respect. How?
A evil wick smile came across her face. Even through the tears, it was showing there was nothing left of her to reason with. "Oh, I don't think he loved me. I know he loved me. You can take that check to the bank sister. You are right, he could have any woman he wanted and guess what? He chose me. Don't worry about me. Run your nightstalkers however you see fit sweetheart. I am not letting anything go. You could have saved you little speech. You're damn right. I have his ashes and I have his pet wolf. What? It upsets you that I have him. Did you love him? Yes, I am going to be selfish because everything good I ever get in this life is always taken from me. Now, it is my turn to take. " She sneered as it was evident there was nothing that could be done. She was fighting in the name of the nightstalkers. This was all her. If she died, it would be a relief from this miserable life. She could be with Virulent and her children.
Her eyes shifted to the SHEILD and she became quite. It was ******** disgusting that they would even show their faces here. Looking at the woman, she just shook her head. If this the kind of leader she was going to be, then Jacqueline wanted no part of it. If it was Jacqueline, she would have let if be known they were not welcomed. It wasn't her place. This woman could pretend peace was the way. That was never going to be the case for Jacqueline. Not after what she witness. Not after everything she has been through in life. For a moment, she thought about taking her mask and throwing it on the ground, shattering it into pieces. The thing is, she knew Virulent would frown upon that. A small part of her heard him saying don't, but she couldn't bring herself to agree. Turning away, this time, she would actually leave.
Aeralin would stand by and listen to Jackie’s conversation with the Xcoutal, she was a fair distance away so she couldn’t hear exactly what it was about but she did know Jackie was pissed and she knew exactly why, in some way she was feeling the same way, she wanted to avenge him and she wanted to make those bastards pay for killing both her father and grandfather, but rushing into it will just not work and she knew it too well. she waved back at the people who waved at her, it felt awful doing so knowing they probably didn’t even know the woman she is disguised as is dead otherwise they would have asked questions, but it didn’t matter to her right now since there was a different problem, a group of SHIELD came to pay their respect which made Aeralin absolutely furious, how dare they murder him and then come pay him respect?! Aeralin was so close to just rushing in and punching someone half to death but she held her composer this time, she would keep an eye on them just in case they try to attack here as well, she turned away and ran towards Jackie right as she left but while far from the Xcoutal “Jackie wait” Aeralin shouted while getting closer to Jackie “please don’t leave yet” she would say as she got close to her, Jackie was probably the only person there she could trust completely, after all, she was the closest person to her dad. Her hands balled up to a fist. The eyes changing to that of anger. How dare she not hold her tongue in front of their leader. Did she not understand she was the Xcoutal here. They all were grieving, but there was no excuse. Her words did not cut into the woman except for the last bit. She wanted to be the taker. Did the woman love Virulent? IT was hard not to love a person who gave so much care for them, but she honestly never thought about it. She was more thinking of the whole. It would of been nice if everyone else had the pleasantries that she did. They weren´t married. The tone in her voice was rough, but what she could do. She was not anyone mother. "I am not going to argue with you Jackie. You going down a road of no recovery...¨ She started before looking at Jackie one last time before going over to the area where Shield was. She wanted make sure nothing happens. As she left, a mysterious figure bumped into her. One that was familiar but dressed in all its garbs. She could not fully understand who it was. This person had with them two twins. She figured was an older member and let them be. The figure´s face was obscure but something felt odd but calming about him.
The two twins would end up bumping into both Jackie and Aeralin before running off into the woods. ¨Sorry, they just so hyper..¨ a voice commented before looking at them both but his face and most his features still obscure. ¨I still trying to learn how to keep them to behave. Not my specialty. ¨ he stated with a little chuckle before passing by them. A touch on the shoulder before he moved along putting them both in a dream like trance. Aeralin would see her Virulent for how he was. He would not be damaged. He would standing in front of Aeralin leaning against a tree with his arms folded. As for Jackie, he would be similar to the sitting position he was in before he finally passed on. He held what appeared to be Jackie´s mask in his hands. He would not say anything. He would let them speak first.
There was nothing this so called Xcoutal could say to her. Not like Jacqueline was listening anyway. This woman anger didn't move her. Especially with this disrespectful move of just letting the SHEILD pay respect like they aren't the reason he is died. Weak spine b***h. That was okay. Jacquelin had it all set in motion. She knew what had to be done. Trust and believe it was going to be done. She was almost to the woods when she heard a voice call out to her. "Jackie wait!" Stopping, she would turn around and see who it was. If It was Val asking her to come along, she was all for it. This person didn't look like Val. That confused her because she didn't know who it was. but they were asking her not to leave. "Who are you?" She asked as The person got close to her.
As she waited for the person to speak, the two twins came barreling towards her into the woods behind her. It put a sad smile on her face. "It is okay." She told the stranger. "I understand completely about what you mean. Go get them before they go too far." Her smile was still sad. It even made a small tear roll down her check as the person touched her shoulder. At is when everything around her started to change. She was...at home? Looking around, she was confused because this couldn't be. She hadn't even entered the forest yet. Then, she saw him. He held her mask in his hand. Looking down, she saw it missing from around her neck. Going over, she sat in front of him. "Virulent." She said his name wanting to look into his eyes.
Upon finally catching up to Jackie she would ask her who she was and as much as she wanted to say it, it was not a good time to reveal herself, she did not know if she could trust anyone there at all apart of Jackie “someone who truly understands the pain of losing him… just like you” she would say in a sad tone “you are the only one I trust right now, so please don’t leave yet” she said before she would feel something bump into her “don’t worry about it, it’s nothing” she replied to the old man, one of the main advantage of having her face fully covered was that no one could see the tears of sadness and the painful expression she wore, she did not have to hide her emotions when nobody could see them anyways. The moment the old man touched her shoulder she began feeling something weird, she would turn around and freeze completely “d… dad?” she asked but could not move a muscle, she was in too much of a shock to react.
at the same time, Valleria would be sitting on a tree closer to the main crowd of night stalkers, her mask was hanging on her quiver and while she did not know Aeralin was there, she did notice Jackie talking to someone but most importantly she saw the people from SHIELD. her hand was almost always touching the retracted form of her ice fangs just in case they decide to attack and this time, she would make them pay. Virulent would look at Aeralin , but he did not move. The shadows obscured his face but the voice sounds like her dead. How is the question? Or is this even real? Was he truly there or was she hallucinating along with Jackie? ¨Surprised??¨ the man asked but still would not move. Looking over Aeralin, the glance seemed to go towards Aeralin almost in a quizzical fashion. ¨You are among family and feel you cannot express the same pain that others are feeling. Instead of coping with your family...you hide among them as if you are some stranger. Like you o not belong... ¨ he started before appearing to be in a thinking posture. ¨Maybe there is some truth to it. Maybe you do not belong. And that is okay. Time will tell in the end.¨ he started before awaiting an answer. ¨Again i ask, why you hide among them??¨
With Jackie, the situation was a little different. Virulent seemed to be, afraid. ¨Want to know my favorite fairy tale? It is a mixture. It is about a man who wanders the earth. He is cursed. Forever bound to the realm of the living until he finds true happiness. Each year he searches but it always ends up going nowhere. He shared many lovers. He learned many things. He experiences almost everything exciting in life, but nothing made him happy. The one consistency in his life was speaking with a guide. A fellow maiden who acted as his shield from insanity. Who he was able speak to about anything on his mind. The frequency of his meetings with the maiden increased over time and time again. He started to smile. His time with the maiden ended up decreasing as nothing was able to be talked about. He was happy.....but with his happiness brought his end..and his end brought depression onto the Maiden. She never was able to move on and ended up killing herself to be with the man. This fairy tale stuck with me......if anything it seemed to run it course a little in my life. I found happiness and moments later....¨ He explained but he never looked into her eyes. ¨I cannot look at you Jackie. I cannot see the pain in your eyes....for it will fill me with ill will...a lusting for you to join me....I know you will in due time...but the taste of happiness has turned me impatient....I already know what you thinking....let it go Jackie.....or let me be your guide through the darkness..if this truly is no turning back for you¨.
Jackie listened to Virulent as he told her the fairytale. It sounded like their love story. His end brought about her being depressed and she couldn't move on. Would she kill herself? No, because she had somethings left to do. There was still Aeralin to look after, there was still people who needed to pay for his death, and she needed to step in and lead the nightstalkers. That was proven today. What was killing her though, is he wouldn't look at her. She needed him to look at her. Her heart ached and longed for his eyes to lay upon her face. She need to kiss him and look at him. Her pain needed to be eased and he wasn't easing it. "I know you want me there. I want to be there too, but there is stuff that has to be done before I can come to you." Tears started to roll down her face as he said let it go. "Babe, I can't let it go." She told him in a broken voice. "You are just going to have to guide me through because there is no going back for me. I'm sorry that I am not letting you rest, but I can't let it go. Please just look at me." She begged him. "I love you." She said barely above a whisper.
Aeralin was still barely able to react to any of what was going on before her, Virulent asked if she was surprised and the answer was obvious, yes! Yes, she was surprised “I thought you were… how?” she asked curiously as a small smile formed on her lips, though no one could see it. but that quickly changed as he asked her the question, why hide? For many reasons actually “I hide because well… as you said I don’t truly belong and with the way things are today I am sure I will be attacked by someone here. On normal occasions I wouldn’t mind it at all but… today should not be a day to fight in, it’s too hard knowing that the only family I had left is gone and I am almost sure none of the other Nightstalkers would understand because while they lost their glorious leader, but I also lost my father, my mentor and probably my only true link to this tribe” she shook her head as she took off the mask and the hood, letting her long white hair flow in the wind “but… hiding won’t solve anything. Heh, I am much more pathetic than I thought I was, what a shame” she chuckled as tears began forming in her eyes, but the small gentle smile she wore did not change. Out Of Combat: Post count: 78

Virulent. Visage of Virulent. Whatever, or however one could explain it, he was not looking at Jackie. There was something keeping him from looking into her eyes. Was he scared of showing her the truth? The darkness that resorted within him. The greed he was finally letting slip through his actions? Maybe if he was more focused on the Night Stalkers and not on Jackie this situation could of been prolonged? Of course not. It was always going to happen, but it was just negative thinking on Virulent´s part. Something he probably was never going to shake. It felt too good. Being able to succumb to an insatiable desire. It was different than a fight. The flavor was much more...intoxicating. She was struggling. She was refusing to let it go. She stated that she could not let it go. He understood that feeling all too well. He would appear to tell the twins to go play before walking towards Jackie. His hood still obscuring his face. His aura fluctuated and engulfed his body in a natural display. She made her decision, and he was going to stick by it. ¨Darkness does not suit your pretty face my dear...Darkness leads to death in the end. It will always be lurking around the corner. You will always have an enemy on your back....but if you can handle that and promise to always be able flash that smile I grown to love...I shall be your guide down the road of no return....¨ he commented before finally revealing his eyes. Looking upon her finally, his hair blew gently in the wind before he started to breakdown into nothing but pure aura. Fading out of view, even though he was gone the feeling of him being with her would overtake her soul as her aura felt to be tampered with. His mask returning back to where she had it it. No matter what, I always will love you~ would whisper into her ear and reverberate into her soul.
As for Aeralin, Virulent would appear still leaning against the tree before looking off in the distance. ¨Still so young. Let just say, do you believe in fairytales? Some come from true stories¨ He commented but what exactly did that mean? ¨Seems you still have not full learned who you are yet?? Still wielding Maha proud but yet...not one yet¨ He added but left that notion. Hearing her words, he would shake his head at her. ¨Again, that is okay. The Night Stalkers were my burden to pass on and I think it more than unfair to pass it on to someone who may not truly enjoy it. While I am sure you enjoy the position of it, I must wonder does it truly resonate in your soul to be one? Or is there something more there? A new ideology that you can bring to bring more adaptability. We will see. Or maybe it just truly not your thing. You are not as stealthy and versed. You are a warrior. You do not want to sneak, you want to proudly announce your challenge and take on all comers. That is who you are, and that does not make me love you any less. You must learn to make your own links to this tribe. Your own path. Everyone expected you to take after me....and that might have been where I had failed you.¨ He admits before hearing her words about being pathetic. Seeing her unmasked and letting her hair flow. ¨You are not pathetic, but you do hold some truth. Hiding will not solve anything. You are my daughter and you will never know how much I am proud of you and how much growth I seen. There is more growing to be done.. I will be around. Closer than you think, but for the future...you need to do what you want and handle things your way. Whether that being a Night Stalker or choosing a different path. You will always have family. Even with me gone, Jackie will not abandon you. Neither will your family in the Night Stalkers. or Maha. I must go now...¨"He commented before fading away.
Aeralin would chuckle at Virulent’s question about fairytales “I am quite skeptical about them, but I always kept the ones you told me close to my heart, though it doesn’t surprise me that some are true” she said while not quite sure about his next few words, Maha? What does he mean not one yet? Aeralin continued to listen to her father and would shake her head “while I do feel like an outcast sometimes I still love those people, they are my family the same way they were yours. What I need to do is to learn how to combine the styles of both the Nightstalkers and myself, it may take some time but… I shall do my best. Don’t blame yourself for the people who expect me to take after you, it is my job to show them their expectations were not false” she said with a wide grin and teary eyes as her father bid her farewell I’ll see you again dad… thank you for everything” Aeralin closed her eyes as Virulent faded away, she took a few deep breaths and wiped her tears away before looking over at Jackie once again, now with a confident gaze and a smile “as I was asking earlier, please stay. I do not plan on hiding myself from my own people anymore and I would love having family with me” she would say while raising her hand towards Jackie, whether she takes her hand or not Aeralin would begin to walk towards the crowd, she may not have been wielding Maha, but she was still wielding a polearm suited for her battle style. ❝Forgive, but don't forget.❞
A smile graced her lips as he spoke. She knew this wasn't her, but her heart was heavy and he mind was made up. No doubt she believed what the woman said about Virulent losing his eye because of revenge and no doubt this quest she was on could result in her death. There was no damn way in hell, if it existed, was she going to let this slide. The moment he revealed his eyes, she cupped his cheek until he was gone. As he whispered those words, her heart was at peace, her world was at peace, and everything was alright in that moment. She felt him residing within her soul. The warmth she felt let her know if she choose this he wasn't going to leave her. With her mask back around her neck, she knew what she must do. This, however, wasn't the place and time as things came back into view.
Hearing the person again, her eyes focused upon who it was. No longer in disguise, it was her daughter. "Of course I will stay. You are all I have left. I will do as I promised him. No harm shall come to you." She took Aeralin hand as she laced her fingers with her daughters. They walked back towards the crowd together. No one was going to lay a finger on her or so help them because they were going to need it. The plan was no to make a scene and be there for support. Plus this was a time for peace because respect was being paid to Virulent and Blaze. Once this was over, they had all better believe a storm was coming.
The sun had set. The ashes had been burned away. Respect had been given and the night stalkers stood helpless as the murderers and their association walked away. No conflict would arise. Soon, nothing but pitch black darkness would come over the area as the celebration was over. However, the night was not far from done. Blue hair shin in the darkness. Violet eyes pierced the darkness as he picked up a mask and looked at it. His features hidden at the time. ¨Heard so much about the mighty night stalkers...and yet seems they cannot handle their own issues... The shield may become a problem soon..but first¨ He commented nonchalantly as he threw the mask to the side. A mild puff of smoke would release from his lips as he waited. He was awaiting someone. A person he met when he was bringing back the fox brat to the Beacon. Someone had something they needed of him and he did deny a cute face when they want something.
While the time passed Valleria kept ever vigilant one wrong move by the people of shield and a flurry of arrows was bound to intercept, yet the time did not come. The day went by rather peacefully before the group left, Valleria would sigh and continued to look around from her tree branch, from there she noticed someone rather… out of place, he did not possess anything resembling a Nightstalker and even mockingly picked up a mask from the ground which meant one thing to her, an outsider. She would hop down from the tree branch and walk towards him, her weapon was still hanging on her hip and her hands were crossed “may I ask who are you? You don’t seem to be a part of the Nightstalkers. I don’t really care if you are anyways, just making sure you aren’t here to cause any trouble” she glanced over to where shield left to “I had enough worries on my head today” she said with a sigh, even though he was a stranger to her there was no reason to be hostile, though she did seem like she was quite annoyed.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ➸𝙊𝙊𝘾✥first interaction of Vallmu owo
¨Why the hell would I be a part of such a mockery as the night stalkers? From what I been hearing anyways¨ He started with disinterest. A long drag released from his lips. The smoke like poisonous mist coming from a serpent. ¨I have no concerns with you. If you curious, I am here to meet the red haired lady. You are none of my concern ¨ he commented as his eyes scanned the area. Not much heat was being picked up besides Valleria. ¨Seems someone going to catch a fever"he remarked to the side while playing with his scroll. Bashmu did not know what went down and kind of did not care. He wanted to know more what Jackie called him here for. Hopefully something sinister or chaotic. Because why else? ¨If need a stress reliever, I could gladly oblige. My tongue can do magical things¨ he added with a smirk. ¨Just gotta bend over and spread a little¨ Was he serious or not. His tone did not give any type of hints what so ever. His aura pinged around the area, wondering if anyone was closer now. He hated waiting.
