Seeing Cardinalpaw run off like that almost caused her to panic but her body was beginning to ache already and she stayed put, having faith in her little girl who could at least hear. When she came back and began to get to work, the red dappled she cat couldn't help but laugh. "Look at my little medicine cats, already doing a good job." she purred, reaching over to lick Cardinalpaw atop her head before moving to groom Bumblepaw a bit. When she felt too tired to even do that anymore she laid back and feeling thankful for the relief. She slowed her breathing, trying to settle the adrenaline that still coursed through her however, Brightstar's sudden excitement over the kitten caused her to turn her head. Flicking her ears, she watched Brightstar with the kitten closely, somewhat jealously. Honeyfur had something to say? Had he received a message from Starclan? If so.... did Stonebelly also receive one? Was he even here? Frowning, her ears went flat against her head as she tried to scan for the tom cat. Bumblepaw watched as his sister left, feeling somewhat odd and alone without his sister but he still had his mom so he waited. It felt like eternity until she came back and he stood up excitedly, watching her work. He helped to chew some of the leaves but left applying the paste to his sister, at least from now. He wanted to watch her actually work first and didn't want to risk messing things up. Still, he was really happy that it seemed to be working and he pressed his head into Carinalpaw's shoulder, purring loudly, eyes slightly teary.

That was encouraging when the kit started talking. She moved to sit beside Brightstar and listened intently to the kit's answer. So the kit's mother was missing, presumably dead if she allowed her kit to go wondering on her own. Nodding, Shadowstar agreed, "Of course, I believe Flamedapple wishes to care for the kit. The little one will have a big brother and sister." There was no doubt the shecat would be a wonderful mother to the kit, she was already one to the ones she had. Moving forward to pick the kit up, she grabbed it and began to stand when Brightstar stopped her. Sitting back down she carefully put the kit at her paws. Grooming the poor thing a few moment she spoke to it, "Don't worry little one, we'll get you something good to eat and a safe warm place to sleep." Thats all a kit needed until they could figure out more about the mother. Looking to Brightstar she tilted her head confused by that. The decision had been made, both leaders agreed to it. Why was she changing her mind now? As far as she was concerned as soon as she accepted the kit, the kit became Riverclan " Lightning clan is already overburdened, what changed?" She didn't fight the Leader, just asked. Brightstar had to have a reason for changing her mind. "We are prepared to care for the little one, there is no danger of that." If it wasn't care, did the Leader know something she didn't? Of course she did, but what?

Cardinalpaw purred under her mother's grooming but didn't stop to enjoy it. While she didn't fight her mother off, the red paw focused intently on finishing her task first. She nudged her brother with a loud purr. He was the best cat to have with her while they worked on healing their mother's hurts.
This was really fun and she couldn't wait to talk to Forgottentrail about it!
Finishing applying the paste her brother prepared for her, she only stood still for a moment before backing up enough to look over her work. Poor Flamedapple became chewed fern dappled but the job looked like it was done well. Deciding she had done all she could, she settled curled against her brother nuzzling him before pressing her head against the fluff of her mother's chest.

All of this was quite abrupt and while Stonebelly had hurried along with his leader and kept pace with the other Clans, the tomcat was failing to keep himself from feeling overwhelmed. As the fighting began and then ended once more, he started to pad slowly towards the young kit, peering at it curiously. It’s soft voice brought a recent memory to his mind. He started to speak when voices louder than his spoke up, louder than his. He cleared his throat and then approached. “ Brightstar, it would appear that you know of the prophecy given by StarClan, so I can only assume that Honeyfur has received it in the same manner.” He had hoped that his and Honeyfur’s messages had gotten mixed up, that perhaps ForestClan had visited the LightningClan medicine cat, when StarClan had visited Stonebelly. Clearly, this was not the case. It was clear that StarClan had visited both medicine cats, he thought and so continued. “ I was rather surprised when a StarClan kitten came to me in one of my dreams, foretelling of a small voice that would calm the darkness that shakes the stars.” He announced. “ Since it would seem that both Honeyfur and I have received this message, there can be no certainty that this kit is meant to go to one Clan over the other.” He turned to look at his leader, Shadowstar. “ StarClan has chosen to give both Clans this prophecy, so, it stands to reason that both Clans must be included in this kit’s life.” It may not be what Shadowstar wanted to hear, but Stonebelly has had some time to consider the message given to him and this was the reply that came to him at last.

 Petalnose scared up a snake! It lashes out Roll 2d 20! First dice is how much damage Petalnose takes from the snake! Second is damage to the snake. If you roll an even or over 15, you kill the snake, if not it gets away!
