Arthur: Total: Round : 10 Round 2: 3 Total: 13
Arthur moved through the crowd of people, overstepping Vines and roots as the heavy smell of flowers and something worse filled the air. The buzzing of fireflies moved through them unnaturally bright and blurring. He wanted to find the other senshi and corral them all together to focus their efforts but he didn't go far before he was grabbed by the ankle.
Falling, he turned to see the vibes move up his leg and across his body, wrapping about him like slender snaked that twisted his arms and pinned them to his side. Gasping, he tried to kick out but could t move and couldn't change even when he tried. Slowly, he felt his body moving across the upturned Earth towards the heavy stink of the flowers further in.

Super Sailor Hamal Score: 8+6
"No, - we can't. It's a shame we can't have a peaceful night out ever." She whispered softly, just for Kami to hear. "it makes dating a bit harder than most. I guess it makes relationships stronger though?" He questioned with a tilt of her head, watching as Kami decided to attack the plant - just as it made to grab at her.
Though she was able to escape the vines it wasn't without injury, red lines of swelling skin were risen on her legs where she'd been grabbed several times by the grasping vines of the plant. She had managed to get free, also leaving Kami's side in the process, but at least she wasn't plant food. Her skin hurt, a burning and throbbing feeling, but it would fade soon enough she was sure. A few spots of blood dotted her fair skin, that plant really had been trying to get her, but she was free.
Free as she was she needed to get back to Kami's side. Once she'd located him she was making her way back to him, yelping and jumping loud as fire flies moved in and...exploded. Did they just kill themselves? Spots of black clouded her vision but the senshi of talismans was ready to help out as she came to Kami's side once more.
"Talisman of Explosions" The yellow paper, familiar by now, appeared in her hand and soon it was written on in bright red writing. She watched as the talismen she held out in front of her dissolved into her attack. Sending the orbs out towards the plant she stepped back, further away form the plant, taking Kami with her.
Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Talisman of Explosions As she speaks the first word two slips of bright yellow paper appears between her thumbs and index fingers. It is as the last word is spoken that markings for “explosions” in bright red symbols appear going down the bit of paper. Holding the talismans out toward the target (who must be within six feet of Sailor Hamal ), the talismans will dissolve into two reddish-orange colored ball energy with bits of yellow paper, which have turned into golden shards, suspended inside.
The orbs are then launched forward towards the direction of her opponents at speeds similar to a racquet ball being smashed. Upon contact with a solid object the orb explodes and the flecks of sharp golden flecks of paper burst outward like a firework in a 3’ area around the point of impact. Upon contact the magic sparks will cause a character's exposed skin to burn, as though it were being held over an open fire. It may also feel like the magical shrapnel is cutting into the flesh but this sensation is akin to a cut worse than a paper cut, but not something bad enough to need stitches. This magic will last for thirty seconds can be cast three times. Players may aslo choose to sustain lasting damage in the form of deeper lacerations about two inches long (which can now slice through uniforms), but this is player choice and is an additional chosen affect, not a guaranteed one.

DMS Sailor Melpomene Score: 7+6
"Why-why is it showing such things?" He didn't like that, didn't like that it used the one thing he'd grown up wanting more than anything. He'd tossed his life away, until now, for it...and now this plant hangs his biggest want in front of his face. He wasn't happy and it looked like else had been suffering similar to him. But as he was shifting his weight from foot to foot, unsure what to do, he felt a vine wrap tight about his ankle and pull. Yanked off his feet, and landing with a solid thud, on the ground the senshi of bleeding hearts started to kick and try and free himself and scramble away from the vicious plants vine.
It kept trying, and grasping and hitting him with it's vine as it tried to get a hold on him again, but all it did was rip into the cloth of his pants. As he climbed to his feet he was shook by a firefly exploding next to his ear. Set off balance, and taken by surprise, he nearly stumbled right into Acubens. "This isn't normal - is it?" Though she had, over the time he'd spent with her, made it seem like it was fairly normal. He hoped this, especially this, wasn't.

Abeosamu Chibi Senshi of Penguins Total roll: 6+3
“Sounds like a good plan to me!” Abeosamu replied. “I’ll give it a shot too!” She moved towards the others who were having trouble with the illusions; gabbing them and shaking them out of their trance.
But in the meantime, the plant had realized that this meal was not coming as easily as planned. It seemed to grow angry and started swinging it’s vines in retaliation. It grabbed at people’s ankles, dragging them closer and closer.
“Oh no!’ Abeosamu gasped, trying desperately to dodge the vines. But one quickly snatched her up, and brought her closer to the plant’s gaping mouth. She could smell the horrible odor coming from it. It was enough to make her gag. Sharp thorns grazed her legs. She yanked at the vine around her ankle, but it wasn’t loosening. She was going to need help!
“Someone! Help pleeease!” she called out, hoping someone would come to her rescue.

"See," Acubens huffed, stomping on what vines she could reach where she was, "there is a difference that we need to make here between common and normal. This kind of this is common for us to be dealing with. But I would never. In a million years. Call this. Normal." Each sentence was punctuated by a swift stomp of her clawed pumps.
They were only treating the symptoms. They needed to find the cause. All around her people were either falling victim to the strange visions or pulling their friends out of their own hazes... she and Melpomene, at least, were lucid. They and a hand full of others could work to find the source. There had to be a source.
Her name called above the din cut through her thoughts and caught her attention.
"Melpomene. I think it's time for you to formally meet your brother."
That was all she said before she grabbed his hand and broke through the vines and fireflies, stopping only when she was at Kiuchi's side. His magic was already in full swing, and the beast was primed for a frontal assault.
"Velociraptor Endow!"
She ignored the honey flavor of her magic on her lips. No time to savor it. She ignored the eerie red glow that surrounded her as her attack charged up. No time to revel in it. All she could do was laser focus her vision on the leathery, gaping maw trying to catch dinner.
She didn't count how many of her attacks hit, she didn't care. When she finished, gasping for air from the exertion, she clapped Melpomene on the shoulder and panted, "Your turn kids. Let's see what you've got for us."
It was all she had the energy for, leaving only enough for a nod towards Lacerta. They would have to do proper introductions later. When they were safe. Over tea. Just think about the conversation they'll have together after the war. Focus on that. Don't wonder how much life this monster has left. Plan what teas you'll serve because the war is already won. It has to be.

Corrupted Super Sailor Noctua Total: 4 + 6 = 10
Noctua followed the line of Fettelite's gesturing towards the floundering civilian. It would really be easier to just starseed the poor b*****d now and just protect Fettelite. But... clearly this was someone important to the young lieutenant, so that wasn't an option. But she couldn't keep Fe3ttelite safe and rescue the civilian all at once...
That was when a familiar flourish of blue and silver caught her eye.
Thank the gods.
"I don't want you anywhere near that thing," she growled at the concerned Lieutenant. "There's a general coming, stay close to him."
There was no waiting for a response. Once she caught Benitoite's eye, she gestured for him and lunged for the civilian... Nat? Was that what Fettelite had called him? Whatever. Vines snapped at her arms, tearing through the fabric of her fuku as she did so. She wrapped one hand around his ankle and with the other, she ripped the vine from him, sustaining a few cuts to her palm as she did so. She'd deal with the embedded thorns later.
"Go back to your friend, I'll follow," she instructed curtly.

9 Castor hated this. Hated it with every fiber of his being as when the fireflies were emerging, he saw the maw and had a feeling where this was going- And even when he used his wings to push the bugs back- they still came into contact with him.
Thats when the vision of Yvaine came. She was.... beautiful. He knew she was dead but when he reached out to touch her- he wanted so badly to feel her hand in his. To feel that warmth again. But there was just air. Yvaine was dead, and nothing would bring her back to him. She smiled though, this.... hallucination, motioning for him to go to the maw. "Yvaine-" No, this... wasn't her. "I can't." Her features dropped and he couldn't help it- that twinge of pain in him.
In any event the plant began to thrash and fight- "God ******** damn it." So much for visions. But then, it always did turn out like this didn't it?
If you roll between a 1-3 you do a bit of damage, but it seems that the plant is targeting you over everyone else; a vine grips you tightly and yanks you towards it. You may find yourself suffering the disgusting fragrance of its putrid breath, or find yourself grazing the sharp thorns, or overwhelmed by the explosive fireflies. They may cause brief deafness or blindness as they explode around you; in the worst case, you may suffer the sensation of light burns--or actually be burned.
Roll #1 = 3 Roll #2 = 2
The warm comforting feeling… wavered, as did her mother, flickering a little like a short-circuiting TV. Orah blinked at her in puzzlement, and then growing alarm, as reality started to come back.
Farah wasn’t real. She was even less real than the vision of her before, when Orah had held that gem in her hands. She pulled back as her mother reached for her and then it wasn’t hands that wrapped around her limbs… it was vines.
Orah swung at the vines that curled themselves around her arms and legs, but so close to the main plant, they overwhelmed her quickly. They seemed weirdly focused on her… more so than those near her, and she hardly had the time to wonder why before they flexed and pulled her off her feet. She shrieked as she hit the ground, thrashing wildly as they dragged her towards the open, thorny maw. She could see it for what it was now… terrifying and strange, and hungry. The fireflies that flitted around it swarmed her and she jerked as they exploded, singeing her scrubs and whatever flesh they could find. Bombarded, the vines took advantage of her distraction to pull her closer and Orah desperately wished for the strength she had as a senshi.
It wasn’t safe to power up here, but if she could just reach her pocket… the risk of exposing her identity was tempting, versus the very real chance she was going to literally get eaten.

If you roll between a 4-7 you do some damage and may receive only light lashings from the vines; they may snap at your flesh or grip you tightly, but you manage to avoid significant damage. The fireflies are a bit of a problem; they explode near enough to you that you may find yourself dealing with loud explosions by your ear, or bright bursts of light that cause spots in your vision.
It was the stinging sensation of a vine smacking her in the side of her head that finally snapped Idavollr out of it.
The almost putrid smell was suddenly very prominent and the fireflies that had initially seemed so cute and playful now seemed almost.. Menacing.
"Auntie Seren?“ Brown eyes turned confused to where her aunt had been standing only moments ago, but the small dark-haired woman that looked so much like her younger cousin was no longer there.
Was she ever there? Cold rationality clashed with the lingering memory of warmth and the memory of a second hand that only moments ago had been holding hers.
Cold rationality remind her that her small aunt, with her generous smile and warm personality was long gone, had been taken too soon when her cousin had been a child—
And then the stinging sensation of a vine smacking her in the side reminded her that she had other things to worry about - such as a very large plant and vines that seemed to be everywhere.
She frowned in annoyance as another of said vines drifted towards her, balling up a fist and swinging out at it in annoyance as she had had quite enough of being smacked by the thing.
That vine was quickly followed up by yet another vine trying to snag her by her wrist and then another trying to snag round her leggings - but on the whole Idavollr wasn't getting the worst of it - not like the poor woman who the vines seemed to be almost actively targeting–
It had come as something of a shock when Idavollr realised that it was the same woman that she had glimpsed earlier, the one that she had thought somewhat familiar, although that may have been because she was familiar if only in passing.
She had no idea what her cousin's flatmate was doing out here though and now was probably not the best time to ask either and so instead Idavollr did her best to make her way over to the other's location and tried to stomp on one of the vines plaguing her cousin's flatmate with a booted foot–
She'd forgotten about the fireflies - at least right up to the point when exploded close by setting her ears painfully a-ringing.

Eternal Sailor Remarque, Dark Mirror Senshi of Puppetry Score: 6+4 (10)
Remarque glowered at the empty space for a second longer and then shook his head. "Yeah, fight. Fight, because I guarantee if we don't it's going to do whatever the hell it wants."
He hated plants. He didn't have a green thumb, hated mowing the grass--hell, the only reason he even liked flowers was because of the way it made his wife's face light up.
...That, and the flower-like weeds that his little girls seemed to like so much. But this? This was ugly as sin and with teeth like that, Remarque wasn't going to have any trouble sleeping if they eviscerated it.
"What kind of magic is that?" Remarque asked, watching as the mushrooms popped up. A few vines thrashed at him; one hit him hard, in the arm, but he grabbed it and dug his feet into the ground so he could yank violently. The lights that had been dancing throughout the sky surprised him more than much else; the loud noises weren't particularly alarming but they were at least a bit distracted. He kept his eyes on the creature in front of them--and the Dark Mirror by his side, intent to do what he could to make sure he got it out of this unscathed--and not terrified of the city and all its terrors.

Super Sailor Caia, Senshi of Cardinals Score: 3
Caia almost didn't seem to hear her; he was still following the lovely form of his mother--but there was something odd about it, and as soon as he felt a sharp yank it seemed like the woman in front of him rippled. All the warmth drained quickly, leaving only a strange, hollow coldness.
He faltered, blinking and trying to gather his wits about him and figure out what had just happened. He nearly tripped over himself and had to reach out to grip onto the Negaverse agent who had...
What was that plant?
He let out a startled shriek and almost hopped back to take a few steps backwards.
"I--It's too late for that!"
He wasn't sure he'd be able to pull himself back together, his mind was reeling. "What--what is that?"

6 + 6 = 12 “It’s some freakish plant, and it’s hungry, Seymour.” Sapphirine stayed in front of the red and black clad senshi, her arm stretched out as though to protect him. “It’s like this place turned into a little shop of horrors, hm?” Quickly she moved towards the plant, stomping on a few of the smaller vines before they could grab at her ankles and the ankles of the redhead.
“Now, you should—“
The corrupt cut off as a small swarm of the fireflies suddenly seemed to dive bomb the two of them. She cried out and shielded Caia with her own body, blinking rapidly. She couldn’t see after that. Only a strange darkness, with dancing colored spots in front of her eyes.
“Son of a b***h. I…” She was screwed.
“I can’t see.” There was a hint of fear in her voice and she tried again to rub at her eyes, hoping that her vision would clear quickly. She hoped that the white moon senshi…didn’t desert her. She couldn’t…
There was no way in hell that Sapphirine wanted to get eaten.

Kibirev’s grip on Arnica’s hand was as tight as the hold that Altea had on her own. She was laughing and looked so blissful as the elegant woman led her towards the waiting plant. The smile that the queen wore was so serene and gentle and she returned it with one of her own, still tugging on her brother’s hand.
“She’s going to take us somewhere wonderful, Arnica…Maybe back to her castle! It’s…oh I hope that’s where we’re going…it was so beautiful there…I’m so excited that you get to meet her…she’s just…”
Her pale eyes gazed at the woman with nothing but adoration, and it was though the plant in front of her didn’t exist at all. There was nothing but Altea. Altea and Arnica. The two most important people in the entire universe.

Super Sailor Adria, Senshi of Sunset Score: 4+9 (13)
Adria had been alone; there were some faces that he thought he might recognize but in the business of everything he hadn't been able to stop to identify any of them--except for Kibirev, who was not only rushing towards the plant, but dragging someone else with her.
He didn't know everything, but he knew that she was running straight into danger--and if her experience was anything like his own, he didn't know who she was seeing but she must have been determined to reach them.
He bolted closer. "Kibirev!" he shouted, dodging the exploding fireflies, jumping over vines as they thrashed. A large one nearly smacked him, hard, in the face so he swung his hand to block it; more than just deflecting it, it sent one vine slamming into another and it creaked loudly, making him think of a breaking bone. He didn't stop to think; he had no time to linger. Instead, he put himself between Kibirev and the plant and pushed her back. "Kibirev!" he said again, desperately. "I don't know what you're seeing but it's not real, you have to wake up. You're going to get hurt, snap out of it!"
