Frostpaw was momentarily distracted as a cat matching literally his description of the bandersnatch cat walked by and snorted at the gathering, disappearing thru the clan entrance to presumably go do his own thing.
A chill ran down Frostpaw's spine.
But then Brightstar mentioned climbing and his head swiveled back around towards their leader. "OH OH! I wanna try!" he shouted, watching as the two main Rockclan participants had already taken off, making for the branches.
He crouched at the base of the tree, eyeballing what he thought would be the best path up. He then readied himself, butt wiggling a moment before leaping out towards the first branch, claws extended.
Flamepaw wasn't so sure of this. It sounded dangerous yet fun at the same time. Dangerous mostly because she was working with one eye and a shoulder scar that sometimes ached in the colder weather. But as she watched her mentor climb like no ones business then easily passed by Fawnbriar, Flamepaw felt inspired to continue to give Rockclan a good name.
"Ok...here goes." she gulped to herself as she waited for the noisy Frostpaw to go first before leaping herself.
Thornslash hadn't participated in much of these events besides catching bugs and figured maybe now was his time to actually try. Climbing was a good way to stretch out the muscles.
He padded over to the tree, watching as the ladies and paw's went first. He had to admit he was impressed by Shadowsong and Fawnbriar. The tan she cat who seemed winded most of the time actually was pretty impressive. "Hah, fancy yourselves a bird in past lives?!" he called up to the two, chuckling before hauling his large brown self into the trees.
He leaped from one branch to the other, not stopping until he simply couldn't go any higher for whatever reason might put itself in his way. Which actually happened to be one very scared and one eyed Rockclan apprentice.
Sighing, he paused, staying where he was to help the young cat and make sure she didn't hurt herself again.
Wildflower could care less about any of the other cats and practically tingled with excitement to try her best at it. She was beat by the two she cats from Rockclan before and was darned if she'd let them beat her again.
Racing up the tree she flew from branch to branch, flying past Shadowsong with a bit of a laugh before coming to a halt on a swinging branch that just had to be close to the top. Possibly. Glancing back down, she dug her claws in to keep from falling before looking up to see the tan female there as well.
Wildflower narrowed her eyes before sighing and making a face. "Care to share?" she said dryly.
Silverpaw had recovered from the run and the bug hunting. She grinned at Frostpaw winning the banndersnatch contest and also shivered when she saw the cat matching his description moved through camp, "that happened..." she said, her voice weak.
When Brightstar mentioned the next contest, Silverpaw thought that this time she could do well, she was small and agile and, if she said so herself, pretty good at tree climbing. She gave it a good hearty try and climbed.
Ill compare dice at that number die... and lower for loser and higher for winner get points xD

Thornslash lowest (7 to Silverpaw's 8 ) Wildflower Winner (7 to Fawnbriar's 1)
Brightstar watched and luckily, no one fell but what a sight they made with all those cats up a tree. She watched as they all clambered up. She waited and when she Saw wildflower hop one more branch up she called the end! "Well done Warriors! Make your way Carefully back down!"
Once everyone was seated again she carefully went on. "Wonderful job Wildflower! Truly a magnificent climber! So lets see! I guess that makes Todays Best warrior Shadowsong!!!" She twitched her tail happily although she probably would have been over the moon had the winning cat been in Lightningclan!
Of course the term best warrior was to be debated but thats what she had started with and was what she was sticking with. "Now that that is over sadly its back to the grind of Everyday life! Who is going on patrol!?"
