Grid: Fighting Threadfall Character: D'cimus of Blue Amroth Location: High Reaches Weyr Quote: One of your wingmates caught you in his or her flame. Your poor dragon is now suffering an extra crispy part of their body, and you're not necessarily happy with them. Your wingmate is pretty sure you were the one flying in their airspace, but regardless who is right (or wrong) you've got a sore and distressed dragon to tend... and to ensure he or she isn't going to suffer phosphorous poisoning, which can well be deadly.

Rolling for Damage Quote: Grid: Fighting Threadfall Character: Skylla of Green Neith Location: Western Weyr Quote: Your dragon got hit! Roll a D4 to see how it goes! Oh Faranth. Your dragon winds up with a case of severe infection and actually may need an ichor transfusion. They are sick, weak, and ill. They still well could die. The dragonhealers find dragons willing to help. It's up to you whether or not the transfusion works or not; if the dragon does not survive the infection or the infection is caught too late, they could die. Recovery will still take likely a month after a successful transfusion as the dragon recuperates and is cleared to return to the Wings.

Grid: Fighting Threadfall Character: Al'ndru of Bronze Alucarth Location: High Reaches Weyr Quote: You've got a nasty new threadscore across your shoulder and arm. It's ugly and hurts like a b***h. You'll be needing to visit the healers for regular cleaning for at least two sevendays, and you can bet it's going to scar. It's going to take time for your body to recover. You'll be grounded at least a sevenday to avoid reopening the wound.

Grid: Fighting Threadfall Character: Tyra of Blue Orodreth Location: High Reaches Weyr Quote: Your dragon took a nasty score on his hip and thigh. It's an ugly enough wound that the poor thing is going to be in quite a bit of pain for the next sevenday as the skin regrows. It'll need daily tending, and you'll need to remind them not to tear it open.

Grid Name: Illness Grid Character Name: Sylfie and Hesperith Location: High Reaches Quote: You wind up getting miserably ill. You have a high-fever that puts you well in the infirmary. If you're a dragonrider, your dragon is likely going to get very upset! If you've a weyrling, they're going to be in a miserable state of worry and distress! You don't know what you've got but it puts you out for a good two to three sevendays. Fever, chills, aches, pains; you have no appetite and likely wind up dropping some weight from the sickness. Any loved ones or family are likely quite worried.

Additional roll for Talis and Holleth Quote: You’re probably too sick to work, but you have no symptoms other than feeling like you’ve been tackled by a panicked herdbeast. If you’re a rider, it can be yourself or your dragon who’s feeling poorly. Nonriders, roll 1-3. Riders, roll 1-2. You’ve asked your superior for the day off and got it. How do you spend your day?

Marty's sore throat....
You feel pretty awful by the time evening hits. A low-grade fever, maybe some chills, and your throat is on fire. It'll take a couple days before you start feeling back on your feet--but might have a runny-nose for another week or so!

Grid: Fighting Threadfall Character: Le'x and brown Kratoth Location: High Reaches Weyr Quote: Your dragon wound up pulling a wing muscle bad during Threadfall. They pushed themselves a bit too hard and now need a sevenday or two of rest and recuperation. Flight is difficult, and it's Wingleader's orders to keep them rested so as not to cause further damage. You and your dragon are both likely irritable and restless due to the discomfort.

Grid: Candidate prompts Character: Karone Location: High Reaches Weyr Quote: 3. It's your turn to help out in the kitchens but oh man, what a mess you've made. You were supposed to be watching a pot or a tray over the fire, and get distracted. Roll a D4 to see what you were cooking and how bad the main course of the meal is burned!
