FAGB-Host: I wasn't understating the hard work that went into it. I was just commenting on the amount of support this year compared to last...But otherwise it would be much more enjoyable, had more people shown up. I didn't mean to sound offensive if I did.

Alexander sits at a table to the side of the room, on a chair made of ironwork. He taps his foot to the time of the chamber music drifting from the other end of the room, now and then disjointed by screams and confused shouts pushing their ways through the walls.
He sips his tea, a mirky amber that smells of apples and chocolate.

Suddenly a delicious aroma drifts across the room to Steeple's nose. It smelled like fruity chocolate. She followed the scent to its origin in a man's cup. 'Cocoa? Mmmm' she thought. Aloud, taking a seat across from him, she said:
"Hey, what's that you're drinking? It smells divine."

Steeple333 [I guess it is. ^^] Suddenly a delicious aroma drifts across the room to Steeple's nose. It smelled like fruity chocolate. She followed the scent to its origin in a man's cup. ' Cocoa? Mmmm' she thought. Aloud, taking a seat across from him, she said: "Hey, what's that you're drinking? It smells divine." "Good evening, miss!" he smiled as he looked up. "You do have good taste. It's apple flavored cocoa. Purchased it on one of my excursions to Italy, several years back." Fascinating people, the Italians. It had taken several years, but he had finally met with the man responsible for some of the finest drinks in Western Europe. What a trip that had been. The chamber musicians struck a disonant chord. "Oh my! You must excuse my neglegance. I do believe I have forgotten to introduce myself!" He stood, and took her hand. "I am Alexander Dracionus, of England." He kissed her hand as he bowed.

"Ah, thank you, Mr. Alex." Steeple said, rubbing her kissed hand, "Heh, you like foreign drinks, too? Oh," she pulled a small can from a fold in her dress, "I got some nice Chinese tea; it's only oolong, but it's still pretty good." she smiled.
Sitting herself down, she poured some hot water from the silver tea service on the table and sprikled the tea leaves into it. Waiting for the tea to stew, she said, "Oh, my name is Steeple."

Chi walked into the room, looking around with big, round eyes.
"Wow, it looks like the museum exhibit I went to last week! Really really old!" She exclaims. "Ohh I bet there's tea here. Like really really good old fashioned tea! Who wants tea I want tea!" she rambles on and on with her randomness to seemingly no end.

"Nice to meet you, Lady Steeple."
"Indeed! I do enjoy exotic cuisine. I'm a bit of a gastronomer, if I do say so myself. Please! Do try some of the chocolat. I do expect you'll like it."
He pulled a small yellow tin from the breast pocket of his tuxedo. On the front was red Italian lettering, raised from the metal. He pushed the tin toward her.
"Please, help yourself. My trip to Italy brought me much more than I can drink myself." He smiled. "I see you enjoy the fregrant drinks of the Orient?"

Steeple chuckled to herself at the title he had given her; she decided to let it slide. "Yes, I do enjoy Asian teas better, although..." she frowned, "I don't prefer the word 'Orient'. Just a pet peeve, I s'ppose." she poured herself more water and tipped a bit of the brown powder in.
Taking a sip, she was pleased with the apple-chocolate taste. "Mmm, chocolate... lautus est! However..." she took anotuher sip of the oolong, "I feel that too strong a flavor overpowers the tounge, so I prefer teas that clear the mouth with a pleasing taste. The chocolate is good in its own right, but not good with more rich or flavorful foods. I am quite the gastronomer myself." she patted her firm stomach.

[It's the Renaisance. Sorry for not being PC. xd Though I think I've fallen somewhere into the late 1500s... gaah. Oh well. ]
"A fellow gastronomer! How wonderful! It seems we share a passion." It was finally beginning to look as if tonight would be interesting.
"Indeed, the chocolate is a drink that stands well alone." He nodded in agreement. "Indeed, milder teas are much more effective whilst eating a grand meal."
The ground shook for a moment. Large crystal chandeliers twinkled, making soft chiming noises as shadows danced on the walls. The chamber music slowed, faltered, it's tone bending, then continued.

"Yes, I have personal experience as my guide, even if I'll never be a judge. But what does that matter? If I enjoy what I taste, then things are fine." She stirred the chocolate, taking first a sip from then, a sip from the other. "Of course, if one is to enjoy such delights, exercise is important as well." she smirked.

She opened the door just a crack, peering in with eager green eyes. Yes, this was the right place to be. Enmar entered the room, trying her best to walk like a respectable lady. She felt so underdressed for this occassion! And late - not fashionably so. Oh what a dreadful start.
She spotted the host of the room, a familiar face by the piano. One foot carefully ahead of the other - ah, she hated being ladylike. She put on her most cheerful smile. "Good evening, m'lord." she addressed Razumi with an awkward curtsy.
