Not long now! O.O

Very true. Sad thing....We still haven't done any Christmas shopping due to how busy we've been. sweatdrop blaugh

Do you have your tree up? -pokes- You better start soon...though some people just wait until Christmas Eve to go shopping. I wrapped some gifts today and they are waiting patiently under my tree.

The tree is up and has been up. It isn't decorated yet because my daughter wanted to decorate it. She had to have special lighted garland for it this year so we bought it. Now, because it's so long...she doesn't know what to do with the 2 strands that we bought her. Also, we can't put the gnomes on the tree that she got because the dogs think their toys (mostly her dog trying to knock the tree over for them). However, if she doesn't decorate it soon...I'm going to decorate it while she's sleeping. lol

If I could drive - the shopping would be finished. Hubby is a last minute shopper though. Generally for special occasions, he's a day of shopper. So, I hope that he figures out what we're doing soon!

Well at least you have a start on it! Maybe I should save a -poke- for your daughter, to get her moving on this. My cats usually mess with the tree, but this year I streamlined the decorations. Not as much to interest them this year...they haven't even tried to climb it yet! -knocks on wood-

Thanks and that's true. Omg...yes, poke her. lol Your cats sound like our cats. Just as soon as mom-in-law put up her tree...our black/white cat, Einstein, had to get right under the tree which I'll take since he used to climb in the tree. The other two cats , brother-in-law's that she adopted (Shenaynay) because she hates his woman and her bottle fed rescue (Itchy) just ran around the tree this time. So, hopefully, your cats will stay out of the tree. If our other cat, Angel, was still around...he'd be in, on, and under the tree plus knocking off ornaments.

Lol...cats! You gotta love them.

I don't know what I'd do without a cat or two in the house. Life would be very boring...lonely, too. I mean why would anyone not want to be cuddled at 3 am or stared at intently while they eat their breakfast? The extra layer of warmth provided by the cat fur on every single piece of clothing I own is an added benefit!

Me either. Though, I do have to say that I miss our cats being around so it's nice to see the kitties when I go to mom-in-law's house. There's an outdoor kitty that has claimed my hubby (or at least she did). She's a tiny little black & white cat. We're not sure why she stopped loving up on all of us all of a sudden. We had her fixed right after she had her kittens and mom-in-law feeds her plus there's an igloo for her to sleep in filled with bedding in the backyard (but she mostly stays on the covered front porch with the other two fixed cats - one male and one female). Mom-in-law couldn't take in any more since the one female in the house won't deal with other females (she'll pee everywhere) and her youngest male (the one she had to hand raise) won't deal with other males being in the house. He only deals with ours because he was already there and is much older. We'd love to have him back because mom-in-law's tries to constantly dominate him but cats are my daughter's worst allergy. Shame too since it's her cat but my hubby and me love him, as well. I trained him after my neighbor and I rescued him from a tree during a severe thunderstorm storm and got him healthy. He's a very loving cat and loves attention like no other cat that I've ever seen. lol

I've always had cats, thank goodness I'm not allergic to them. I'm sorry that your daughter is! I like dogs well enough and have had some over the years, but nothing is as special as the bonds you form with kitties.

Me too even though I'm allergic but apparently not as allergic as my daughter. It's her worst allergy and thank you. heart I'm glad that you're not allergic to them. I think the closest bond with a cat is the black/white cat that I told you about and the orange cat that I told you about. The orange cat came as the tiniest kitten brought to us by the neighbor's male orange cat when my daughter was little right before her birthday and not long after one of her previous cat's had died from a seizure.

Omg...that is so true. When my daughter was a baby, she slept on our couch a lot and our Siamese-Himalayan slept at her feet. So, when my 1/2 brother's grandmother came over to see her and sat on the couch where my daughter usually slept. He stood there, stared her down, and growled at her. You know...like you're not supposed to be there. That's my baby's bed. Totally freaked her out but all any of us could do was laugh including my daughter who was just a tiny baby at the time.

My hubby had a Siamese growing up. We had rescued an almost 3 year old Siamese-Himalayan Mix and he lived till he was about 24 years old.

He was sweet and silly and ruled the house. He was a purebred, so he was very talkative and expressed his opinion unreservedly. I loved him very much.

Awww. He sounds like a wonderful kitty. heart My hubby's purebred Siamese that he had growing up was a finicky cat. He didn't let people go near babies including their own parents if they came over to visit. lol

They do tend to be overprotective at times.

That's so sweet! Well, yes, that was his baby! lol
My cat defended the front door...you had to pass the 'test' to be allowed in. Which was really just speaking nicely to him.
