They’d gotten Noah out? How had they managed it? The small, round, blue creature seemed to pause before running to her. It’s stubby arms held onto her as well as it could. He’s safe? He almost couldn’t believe it. Their trainer was safe. The others are gone, he said, in a much quieter tone. They couldn’t take what those men did to us. They... Thr Mariel couldn’t finish. It didn’t release its hold on Kimi, either.
It was silver and shiny. I saw it fly. I wanted to touch it but I wasn’t fast enough. It was beautiful. And then it hit Sunny and he fell.
There was a rumble, and slowly the giant figure of the sologalei disappeared. There was a small boy sleeping in his place.
Noah gave Dea a strained sort of smile. Oh. So she didn’t really remember him after all. “I’m tired,” he said.

Kimi smiled as Bubbles came to her and hugged her tightly, she patted the top of his head. She nodded her head again, to let him know that Noah was indeed safe and would not be harmed. Then when he spoke about the others, her eyes saddened. She was hoping to bring Noah all his Pokemon, but seemed they wouldn't be able to. When Bubbles began speaking about the star, she was about to explain, when she noticed Sunny had changed.
"He is alive, but he is going to be changed..like me..and the others,"she told him, going over to pick up Sunny.
"Noah, I will remember more, you just have to be patient,"she reminded, reaching up to stroke his cheek.

The others had changed too? Bubbles looked up at her in surprise. And Sunny... he was no longer the giant solgaleo he could always count on to know what to do. No longer the giant solgaleo he could count on for rides. He studied the boy quietly. There’s some resemblance, he said. The boy had spikey white hair like a solgaleo, and he still had some of the coloring.
Can we go see our boy now? Bubbles asked.
Noah looked away from her. “I know,” he said.His eyes closed.”I’m patient. I waited three years to see you. I can wait a while longer.”

"Yes, it is from the star that Team Rocket threw at him, it is a star from Jirachi. I don't know if Sunny made a wish when it was thrown at him though, it was how it worked for us. And trust me, it is him, we retain parts of things..we can even learn moves still,"she explained. At his question, she nodded, leading the way to the car.
"I am sorry,"she whispered softly, as if it was her fault for this.

Bubbles followed Kimi to the car, reflecting that before, Sunny could have been used as the car. Would their boy still want Sunny in his new form? Noah was a good man, but Bubbles had heard his screams from deeper in the building. Was his boy broken? He’d seen so many Pokémon die under less strain. Will Noah be alright? he asked.
Noah opened an eye. He studied Dea for a long moment, and took her hand weakly. He really was just tired, but it seemed like he’d upset her. “Can you stay with me?” He asked.

She was quiet as they got to the car, her putting Sunny safely in the carseat they used for the little kids. Then she opened the car door on the passenger's side, for Bubbles.
"Yeah, it is just going to take time. It has been a long time since we have seen any of you,"Kimi reminded.
"Yes, if you want me to,"she spoke, looking up slightly.

Bubbles watched as Kimi put Sunny in the car seat. He recognized that as a device human adults put their young in. He wasn’t sure what it’s purpose was, but it did make him wonder. Would Sunny be the same as ever? Or would he be a child that would catch Pokémon, as Noah had been?
Bubbles hoped he hadn’t lost his friend. He’ll be the same Sunny? he asked, softly.
“Stay with me.” It wasn’t a question, now. Noah turned towards her. “Dea, I love you. I’ve loved you all of my life. Don’t leave me alone.”

"On the inside, he is the same Sunny you have always known, Bubbles. He will look different, but as you see, there will be some features that stay the same. That is why I have such bright pink hair, from my Ditto side,"she assured him gently.
"I can stay, I just thought I was upsetting you..why I offered to leave,"she admitted quietly.

Bubbles was reassured by Kimi’s words. He climbed into the car and waited, just watching her for a moment. Do you think my boy has changed as much as Sunny? he asked.
“Don’t leave,” Noah said. With Dea there, his breath began to even out. He closed his eyes, his hand keeping hold of Dea’s. His grip became looser as he fell asleep.

"From what I have seen, the three years you guys have been gone, has done a number on him. However, with our help, he will get back to himself,"she assured to him.
Dea could see being near him was helping him, so she squeezed his hand again. She reached over and carefully moved a section of hair that was in his face.

Bubbles wondered what Noah looked like now. He wondered how much he’d changed, with Kimi sounding so concerned. I’ll help, he promised. He would help, as much as he could. Noah was special.
“Is he going to die?” Timmy spoke up, then. His voice was quiet, his tone almost skeptical. How could they expect Noah to fully recover when he looked how he did?

"I know you will, I expect nothing less from you or Sunny. Knowing two of his Pokemon survived, it will help,"she told him.
Dea looked over to Timmy, when she heard his concern.
"I am sure he will be fine, kiddo, it will just take some work. Right now, he is just going to need to be reminded he is safe and loved,"she replied.

I hope you’re right, Bubbles said, looking to Sunny. The solgaleo looked so different now. What would Noah do? Hopefully everything would go well. I want to help him. More than anything.
Timmy didn’t seem assured, but he nodded. “Make sure he knows he’s safe, Momma,” he said.

It didn’t take long for Kimi to reach their place, at least it seemed that way to the Marill. Bubbles waited for the young woman to first get Sunny out the car, and then let him out. Sunny still hadn’t woken up yet. Was that a bad sign? He wasn’t sure.
Let’s go see our boy.”
