Melody looked back to give an odd look to his comment but didn't say anything before leaving.
Hexxis was up on the roof again, staring out into the distance beyond the gate that enclosed the perimeter of the roof itself. She had her cell phone in her hand, texting before letting it fall to her side.
He received a text, I am sorry to put you through such a trial only to not give you the answer you desired. I am not able to take you onto my team. I apologize.

Zephyr looked at the phone once he got to the roof, frowning a little bit. Well, that was the decision. With a sigh, he just sort of nodded and pocketed the phone. Watching her, almost longingly, he decided to just leave her alone. There was no point confronting her about it right then, so with that, he turned on his heel and went back to the shadows.
I should go sleep... I haven't slept since I got here.. he thought to himself and decided to head to the dorms. On his way back, he decided to text her.
"That's okay. Have a nice night."

Hexxis just continued to stare out into the horizon until his response came and she sighed then pocketed her phone. Looking back out, she seemed very deep in thought.
Zephyr would be able to find a few vacant dorm rooms he could stay in as there seemed to be no more incident through the night, to his knowledge.
The next morning, the sun came shining through the windows, signalling the breaking dawn. Things were still silent as it appeared most people would likely be getting up about now and getting ready to start the day.
His eyes would have returned back to a dark amber bordering on brown and his powers would feel frozen yet again if he tried to use them.

With a groan as he woke up, Zephyr stretched and got ready for the day. It was going to be a rough one. Heading to the school after washing up and getting dressed, he wandered a little bit to try and find a place either in the dorms or the school itself that would have coffee, all while keeping an eye out for either Melody or Oblivion.
"Man... what I would do for a pack of cigs too.." he mumbled to himself as he rubbed his eyes, clearly not missing the days of school that he partook in very few of.

There was a small kitchen in the dorms that had some coffee and small pastries or breakfast sandwiches and the like.
People were beginning to shuffle about the dorms and head for school. Everyone acted normal as if there wasn't a death game happening in the school at night. Blaise and Kira walked by with Alice laughing about something. Zaku even passed by but he of all people had a sadness in his eyes as he did not appear to be as jovial as he was the day before, staring down with his hands in his pockets as he walked. After a bit, Melody also walked passed, talking to a girl with dark tan skin, short reddish orange hair and slender amber eyes. They seemed to be discussing something until they joined the group of other three girls talking and laughing like normal students.
Hexxis and Oblivion were nowhere to be seen at this time.

Zephyr grabbed the largest cup of coffee he could carry with him and a pastry before heading off to join the mass heading towards the school. Drinking the coffee, he let out a happy sigh, "That hits the spot..." he mumbled to himself as he continued walking. Looking about, he was a little worried that he hadn't seen Hexxis and Oblivion, but he figured that they were fine. So, he decided to try and catch up with Melody, as she seemed to be the one who would be the most likely to converse with.

Melody noticed Zephyr following behind and she excused herself from the others with a smile and slowed down to split up from them and allow Zephyr to catch up to her. "I hope you slept well, Mr. Kardos." she greeted kindly.

He smiled a bit as she greeted him, sipping his coffee before waving a bit, "Oh, I slept... ish. It was hard to fall asleep, honestly. How about you, Miss?" Zephyr asked, offering one of the two pastries to her as they walked. "Ah - I'd like to talk to you after classes are over if that's okay." he wanted to try to tell her now, but figured it might not be a good idea with so many others around.

Melody giggled a bit. "I slept like a baby." she joked. She blinked when he offered her one of the pastries, not expecting it, but smiling and nodding as she took it. "Thank you." Biting into it, she listened, "Hmm.... sure. I'm curious to hear what you have to say, naturally." she gave a soft smile as she seemed to really enjoy the pastry.
Walking into the school, she headed for the stairs, to get to the second floor where their classroom was. As they approached the stairs, there was some people having a heated argument just out of view on the next floor.
"It isn't about that!" a male voice hissed.
"I do not see the problem in it." a monotone female voice responded.
"This shouldn't even be a discussion." he growled.
"Then I apologize." she spoke.
"You don't even sound sorry! You lie to me, and then you give me some half a** apology??" he sounded frustrated.
Melody furrowed her brows, not certain what was happening. "...they really shouldn't be arguing in the school... people will hear them."
"....i am soooorry?" the female voice tried to force the emotion but it simply wasn't there and instead sounded mocking than any attempt at a real apology. There was the sound of struggle before Hexxis appeared to fall down the stairs with a soft noise of pain. Hitting the stairs a little hard before rolling down the rest of the way to the bottom and took a shaky breath for a moment before trying to get up.
Melody was in such a state of surprise, she couldn't even react it happened so fast. "Hexxis! Are you okay?!" she asked, kneeling down at her.
Hexxis sat up, the side of her face was slightly red and she placed a hand on her head. "...mm... yes... I tripped and fell. I apologize for the inconvenience...." she mumbled softly and pushed herself to a shaky stand.
"Inconvenience? Hexxis, you just fell down the stairs!" Melody scolded but was more worried than anything.

"Cool cool." Zephyr took a sip of his coffee, he stopped as well when Melody did, soon looking up the steps to listen into the conversation. As the argument went on, his knuckles turned white as he gripped the cup of coffee, "Do they do this frequently?" He tried to keep his voice calm as he asked, though as Hexxis fell down the steps, he wished he could have been a little faster to catch her, but he was just a step behind.
"We should get you to the nurses office, you looked like you took quite the tumble..." he kept trying to keep his cool, clearly angered by what had happened. "Get some ice for you if you need it, don't want you walking on a sprained ankle or anything..." he mumbled, looking up the stairwell towards where Hexxis fell from.

"I am fine." Hexxis insisted.
"No you're not! Here, have Zephyr take you to the nurse's office, I'll make sure things are smooth in the classroom. As you're VP, I insist." Melody spoke seriously and gave Zephyr a look.
Hexxis tried to move to go the stairs again anyway but stumbled a bit.
"Hexxis, stop!" Melody insisted and grabbed her wrist to stop her. "Please... listen to me. You cannot perform your duties in this condition and it will reflect badly on yourself and your peers. I really insist you go to the nurses office, I will help with class, and bring you any homework you might have." She stared her down.
Hexxis looked at Melody then at Zephyr but quickly looked away from him. "....fine." she finally relented and stepped down from the first step, but didn't keep eye contact.
"Zephyr, take care of her, okay?" Melody spoke, a hint of warning in her voice before moving to go upstairs to class.
No matter how much Zephyr looked up the stairs, there was simply no one up there.

Zephyr sighed and grumbled when he saw no one there. As much as he would like to think it was Oblivion, there's no proof aside from just context clues, and that was not enough to go on. As much as he wanted to strangle the b*****d, he couldn't... at least not during daytime hours.
Looking to Melody, he nodded before looking to Hexxis, "Can you stand or do you need some help..?" Zephyr asked softly, clearly concerned for her. "I can carry you to the nurses office so you don't hurt yourself further."

Hexxis tried to put more weight on her leg and retracted a bit with thought. "I am not badly injured." she assured as she more seemed to have difficulty balancing than anything else. She began to move down the hall for the nurses office and had to lean against the wall at times to keep her balance. She was obviously being stubborn about it.
The bell rang and she tensed, she was conflicted, knowing she should be in class right now. There was a soft sigh before she continued ahead. "You do not need to help me."

Zephyr helped her along, giving her space, but being there if she were to fall again. Hearing the bell ring, he ignored it. "I want to help you. I just.. have a gut feeling that you shouldn't be alone right now.." he stated, moving a little faster when he saw the door of the nurses office. Opening it for her, he waited, "and sometimes you just gotta go with your gut feeling, y'know?" he asked, smiling a little bit. He wanted to know more, but he had a feeling that she wouldn't just spill what had just happened to him, he was just a newcomer, not someone she could actually trust.
"Besides, I feel like I need to be a little more truthful to you. I didn't give you all the information yesterday.."

Hexxis moved into the nurses office as he opened the door. Listening to him, she said nothing.
The nurse looked over at Hexxis. "Hexxis Heart? Strange to see a student like yourself here... what happened?"
Hexxis moved to sit down on one of the beds, "I tripped and fell down the stairs." she answered, struggling to keep composed but did keep her stone face about it. "I hit my head and my leg."
The nurses nodded and looked her over before leaving to go get some ice for her. "Please wait here, I will be right back with ice."
As soon as the nurse was out of sight, Hexxis looked to Zephyr with an intense look. "You are in no obligation to divulge all of your information." she commented but allowed him room to speak as she laid back a bit and sighed softly.
