Annette clicked a couple buttons, taking images from the scan and saving them to his file for later. "Your internals are in very good condition." She glanced over at him, noticing where the mesh was in relation to his internals, putting two and two together. "Seems Dokusei out did himself. Its repaired more then just brain matter, the nanites replicated multiple tissue types simultaneously and repaired, or regrew them. I can not tell the difference between the new and the old, which tells me the nanites fully repaired....everything. its actually quite impressive." She blinked and looked at him pointedly. "That doesn't leave this room, please." She'd never hear the end of it if Setsumie found out she was impressed with his work.
She looked back at the monitor as he spoke of a capital city and nodded. "Yes, there are a few cities on the surface. Why the need for more souls though?" She questioned. The machine would choose now to beep and spark, shutting down quickly and flashing a warning light on the monitor. Annette backed up, unsure of what had just happened. "Are you alright?" She asked, moving to help him off the table.
Risa stood and shot a look intended for Feign in his direction. "I was very clear, and told Migoto to leave. Not that I'm not greatful for the help in escaping, but I'm adding a rule. The next time i say leave, i mean it. I don't particular enjoy watching my friends bleed out in front of me. Healing abilities or otherwise." She kept her tone even and while the glare was for feign, the message was for both of them.
She headed for the bathroom and closed the door behind her this time, locking it even. She popped two pain killers in her mouth and stripped once more before running the bath. Taking a breath she mentally triggered the process, and moved to submerge herself in the water to ease the process as the scales started to be forced out of her skin.

Dethblade looked to his own body, noticing a familiar aura of dark purple with an electric shell. He'd look to the machine again, noticing the aura again. "I once had more power...so much more power...exponentially more power. But it was taken from me...could it be that the nanites are revitalizing that power?!" Dethblade took a deep breath, trying to calm himself for the machine. He'd try to control his aura, trying to save the machine. "Dr. Lafluer, please take note that I need exactly one thousand souls, as well as as many vials of those nanites as Dr. Dokusei has, as well as an auto-injector. If we can restore me to my former glory, than it's possible to mercifully purge each planet, one at a time at a much more rapid pace! And then..." He'd grin ear to ear for the first time in an extremely long time, and the stone atop hos mask would emit a dark, almost black glow.
Migoto and Feign both remained silent at the mention of the new rule, but Migoto nodded. " 'S Feign's fault. I wanted to run. I tried to run...no one else wanted to run..." Migoto sighed, then fiddled with his legs a bit, getting himself into a meditative stance.
"Think about what you're doing, Migoto. Seal me away again, and she'll only encounter more danger. You can't do this without me!" Feign quickly voiced.
"I could feel your anger when she issued that rule. I'm not going to let you lose your calm, Feign. Remember: you're a tool, not a person." Migoto retorted.
"...someday, Migoto, you wouln't get that body back. And I'll purge you from it entirely. Then we'll see who's who." Feign laughed, his echo slowly fading out.
After a few minutes, Migoto would open his eyes and let out a deep breath before look at his hands. "He never mentioned I could regenerate rapidly...why would he hide that from me?" He asked before checking his wound. It had now healed, though it did itch like a son of a b***h.

Annette would type his notes into his file at his request then grab a tray of supplies before manually removing the bed he was on out of the machine anx away from it. "We can postpone the scans til we can find a way to not interfere with the machine." She explained. "Why don't I work on getting that mesh out of you and then we can both call it a night." She suggested, pulling a pair of gloves on.
"As far as energy sources are concerned. It do not think its mana, but there was a rather large chunk of ore pulled up from the mines some time ago. I remember them mentioning that it gave off a unique energy signature, and that they were sending it out to be researched...i believe they called it Methusalite." She explained, moving to clean the area around the mesh.
It would be a little over an hour before the bathroom door unlocked and opened. A worn out and very different looking Mira walked out. Her skin was tan now, a lite copper color. Her lips were a darker pink, a bit fuller than before and her eyes were more almond then upturned, but still the same color. Her hair was ebony black and shorter, to her shoulders rather than mid back but lost the curl from earlier. It still had a gentle wave to it though. For all intents and purposes, one would really have to stare to realize this was the same woman that had walked into the bathroom a little bit ago.
She had a bloody towel in her hand, something wrapped up inside it. "Gunna have to burn this when we get a chance." She explained, lifting the towel, her voice strained. She walked over and dropped the towel in a trashcan, a few scales clattering to the floor.

As Annette worked on him, Dethblade starred at her for a moment. He'd let out a long sigh, then direct his attention to the ceiling. "I had a family once, as we all have. Among them was someone I looked to as a younger sister and a dear friend. Her skill with a rapier was unrivaled, and her ability to use the element of ice was a sight to behold. And as a vampire, she was truly dignified and loyal. I have so many regrets...among them...never telling my sister how much she meant to me. That I loved her, and that her existence amplified my life. She may have been cold and calculating, but I could never have asked for a sounder mind or a better strategist." He'd then look to Annette again. "I am honored to call you an ally. Know that I see in you infinite use and purpose, and therefore you are under my protection. Doctor Lafluer, I hereby grant you this hospital. It is yours to do with as you wish, to whom you wish. I'll conduct my business from the shadows and control this city, but this is your hospital." He instructed.
Migoto starred at Mira for a moment, his mouth even hanging open a bit. True be it she was incredibly beautiful, but he was also impressed with her ability. He'd look to the bloody towel and frown instantly, wondering just what kind of a toll shedding her former shell took on her. In an effort to try and aid her, he'd use his hypnotic powers on her to make her think she wasn't in pain.
"Mira, right? Or should I refer to your as Risa? Either way, I want to apologize. My hubris made me think we could stroll right in and do as we pleased, and when things went south I was of no help. Even Feign proved too arrogant to be of benefit. I have you to thank for my life, and from this point forward, owe you the very life you saved. Friends we may indeed be, but from hereon I am now your personal guard. And I will never turn tail and run again without orders to do so." He'd climb to his feet and issue her a bow, then drop to one knee. "As far as I am concerned, I am a tool created by the Scarlet Alchemist to protect you."
He'd stand up and place his hands back in his pockets, a warm smile. "By the way, I think you're absolute stunning, even more so than before, and that's saying something! And I think I, of all people, know a thing or two about beauty!" He'd smirk for a moment, then cross his arms. "So what do we do from here? I would like to point out that now that you've had your Absolute Terror Field activated, it can be called upon on command. Just remember the 'Terror' portion."

Annette had injected a local numbing agent, much like she had with the bullet wound, and was working on cutting away the mesh as Kain spoke of his sister. "Your sister sounds like a very interesting person. You don't hear of vampires very often. A disease that may still creep up once in awhile, but not often. Did she pass away from it?" She asked, noticing he spoke in the past tense. As he mentioned giving her the hospital, she looked up, perplexed by his offer but nodding. "Thank you, that is a very generous gift. I hope I can at least keep to your expectations if not exceed them." She gave him a genuine smile and looked down to finish her work. A few minutes later she had the mesh removed and sitting aside, the area that had surrounded it cleaned and bandaged. "Does that feel better? You'll need to sit up so I can check your back." She instructed.
Mira nodded as he questioned what to call her. "Mira, please. This is what I actually look like. The rest are disguises when I don't want to be recognized." she explained. She blinked, watching him bow and kneel, and naming himself her personal guard. She smiled, and laughed a bit before holding her hand out to help him up, shaking her head. "Thanks, but you are more than a tool, Migoto. Created or not, you are a living being, you have a life that belongs to you, not me. I welcome your help, and protection though. Id be lying if i said it hasn't been nice having a friend this time around."
As he complimented her on her looks, she felt her cheeks heat up, and even with the darker skin, Migoto could probably see the blush as she blinked looked away from him. "Uh, thanks." She cleared her throat and looked back at him as he asked what next. "Well...i guess that depends. To what end does it benefit us to unmask Dethblade? And do we want to risk doing so, or do we want to leave this city and travel some place new?" She asked. "Personally...and this may seem idiotic, i think we could lure Dethblade out of the hospital and expose him if we really tried. Hes a false prophet promising paradise to anyone that follows him."

Dethblade wouldn't move a muscle as he was being worked on. Once she mentioned sitting up, he'd close his eyes and sigh, knowing full well what the future now held. "Yes, my sister...Annette...was an amazing woman. I truly regret that I did not get to spend more time with her. She was slaughtered, just like the rest...just like Nimm. Not one of us stood a chance, and yet here I am, alive, unable to join my family. I've never known a worse Hell than this, and so to everyone else of the world, I offer eternal peace and mercy, mercy not shown to me."
His head would turn to look at Annette from the corner of his eye. "You are not her. Nimm is not my daughter. You share names and physical forms, but not souls. And so I will not treat you as I did them. We will form our own bonds, should such an event be in the cards." Dethblade then went back to closing his eyes, his head hanging forward. "You know, Nimm was sick in my world as well. My son...Singe...cured her via vampirism. They lived happy lives together...they died in one another's arms. Just some food for thought."
He'd place his hand where the mesh used to be and finally crack a small smile. "Thank you. That was becoming rather unbearable." Hisbrows would then knit together, his eyes slowly open. "Methusilite...hm. I had a sword...an ally...someone I cared very much for named Methuselah. I wonder how the energy got it's name in this world..."
Migoto tilted his head a bit as she blushed, a reaction he'd never seen before. "Are you alright, Mira? You're glowing!" He'd point out obliviously. Now back on his feet with his hands in his pockets, he'd begin to rock back and forth on his heels. "I am a psychic. My gift is to demolish the mental barriers people produce and affect theirs minds. But this I cannot do in Dethblade's situation, and I am unsure why. It's as though I've come across a wall made of a new, indestructible material. My theory is that his mask has something to do with it."
He'd stop rocking and shook his head. "We can't leave. Your mission is still in effect, and I...I need to prove my worth, not just to you, but myself. So if luring out Dethblade and exposing him as the monster that he is makes the most sense, then let's do it. Now, I have two questions. The first...is how do we do it? And the second, is whether or not you want access to your ATF on command or not. It's been activated once now, and will always activate in dire situations if I turn it on for you. Right now I put a mental block in your mind to preserve your mind from the maddening hallucinations."

Annette moved, helping him sit up and glanced down at the tattoo on his back. She read over a couple of names nonchalantly, then stared. Aside from her own name, there were others that she knew inked into his skin and dome that she didn't. Only first names though. She blinked and looked up at him as he explained a little, nodding slowly, trying to wrap her head around everything he had just told her. "So you are....from an alternate time line? Universe?" She questioned, the idea sounding odd once shed said it allowed. "Oh...Setsumie is going to have a field day with this one..." she realized aloud.
She pinched the bridge of her nose with one hand, the other in her coat pocket, tapping against her leg. She took a breath, looking up again as he mentioned the Methusalite. "They named it given that its the oldest known material found on Alteria. It predated all other minerals around it even. Its currently at the college in the city Solaris. A days train ride from here." She explained, staring at him a moment longer. "Was it your goal originally to seek out the names on this list?" She asked, her finger tracing over the names a moment.
Mira crossed her arms, thinking a moment on his questions. "I could do without flashbacks for now. Momentary super strength was nice, but may get out of hand if i can't distinguish between hallucinations and reality." She admitted. "As for how to deal with Dethblade. We would do better to lure him out of the hospital i feel. Away from doctors with death defying substances. If I can get the jump on him while cloaked, getting his mask off shouldnt be too hard. And if your powers do work on him once thats done, we can go from there."

Dethblade nodded. "An alternate universe from what Singe and I can distinguish. The names and faces are the same, but not the person. Therefore, seeking out each one of them...each one of you...would be pointless." As she traced her finger over him and explained the Methusalite, he'd smile briefly. "There is a name on that list...Delilah. Her true name...was Methuselah. She was my closest companion."
With a heavy sigh he'd close his eyes. "Setsumei may be the most radical change I've encountered thus far. In my world, he was an angel that went rogue. In essence, he became the next Lucifer...a nephilim of unlimited psychic power. He was my greatest rival. He was part of the being Kira listed on my back. Kira is the one that granted me these powers before he died."
"To be perfectly honest, I have mixed feelings about killing anyone on this list. One the one hand, I am granting them the greatest of mercies, sparing them the Hell I once delivered them to...on the other...well. I suppose you could blame sentimentality." Dethblade would then turn his head to look at Annette. "I won't lie; though I don't show my emotions, I am ecstatic to be allied with you. As for the Methusalite, I do need to do some research. That name...it's not a coincidence."
Migoto chuckled a bit and nodded his head. He'd float up to his feet and approach Mira, then press two fingers to her forehead and close her eyes. He'd focus for a moment, eyes closed, then open them to reveal orbs of pure shinning magenta. "I put a barrier in place to prevent hallucinations. So long as you don't scratch at the barrier; try to delve into those memories, you'll be just fine. Should you break it though...I'm not sure I'll be able to pull you out of the illusion."
He'd place his hand in his pocket and offer her a smile. "I like your plan. No other member of his team is immune to me, so I can easily keep them all at bay. If you can remove that mask, then perhaps we can capture him...but what then? Do we kill him, capture him, lobotomize him? He is worth a great deal of money." He inquired.

Annette dropped her hand from his back and smirked. "For not attempting to find the ones listed, you seem to have tracked down a good number of them...us?" She tested the word and shook her head, not sure how she felt about it. "Nimm, Setsumie, myself, Singe, and this Delilah character. That is five so far." She counted off. "Seems more than coincidence almost." She typed a few things into the computer and walked over to grab his stack of clothes, bringing them over to him in their neat tidy pile.
"I can give you a access key for a computer if you wish to use one of the spare apartments to rest and research." She offered. "You can use it to research the Methusalite when you get a moment." She stood, hands in the pocket of her white coat once more. "As for your mercy. What is it you wish to save them from? Those names on your back, you mentioned they had all died. Do you expect the same thing to happen here?" She asked quizzically.
Mira blinked a moment as Migoto put his fingers to her forehead, she wasn't sure what he was doing, but she didn't move either. She closed her own eyes though, an odd sensation in the back of her head that was so faint and lasted only long enough for her to be aware of it before it was gone. She opened one eye to look at Migoto as he explained what he had done and nodded a little in understanding. "Should be easy, it wasn't a memory I enjoyed revisiting."
She moved to sit on her futon, thinking a moment as he asked what they'd do once they unmasked the man. "That's where things get complicated. Ultimately, i think our actions will strongly depend on what Dethblades reaction will be to our Unmasking him." She explained. "I'm okay with force being met with force, but mostly I'd like to show people that he isn't someone to fear, and his 'mercy' is just murder with a fancy reason behind it."

Dethblade took to putting his clothes back on. "I choose to believe that the Fates are pulling a cruel trick on me...making me see you all again...alive..." He took hold of his necklace and starred at it for a moment. "You ask me what I expect. I expect a great cataclysm to befall this world; all worlds, and I expect to survive it each and every time...until I find my answer." He'd place the necklace around his neck and finish dressing. "All I want is peace. All I want is to end the suffering of those I find worthy of having a place in my world, and to define those that are worthy I judge them based on a strict criteria of how much of a threat to my peace they are." He'd then look to Annette, determination brimming in his eyes. "I'll kill anyone that threatens the sanctuary I will build, far away from the Hell that befell my world."
Once dressed, he'd look at the hole in the back of his mask and glare at it. "It's been compromised...I wasn't quick enough. These powers are still new to me; in time I will need not fear guns. Such a close call cannot be allowed again. It's time to open Babylon and solidify my rule." He'd place the hood and mask back on, his eyes lighting up with the eerie red glow. "I'm going to visit Dr. Dokusei. I'll need that access given to me as soon as possible...it has been a long day."
Migoto floated himself over to his futon and sat with one leg extended, the other bent towards him with his arms wrapped around it. "That Dethblade certainly is a charismatic one, isn't he? I would venture to say it takes some talent to overtake a hospital and change it into the base of operations for...a cult, perhaps? I'm not entirely sure what he's trying to build, but I know it's nothing good."
He looked up at the ceiling for a moment, smiling. "He's just an agitated human that's throwing one hell of a tantrum over needing to have his way if you ask me. Perhaps if I can get into his mind, I can help mend whatever's broken in there, sort of like putting the pieces of a puzzle together again. Or I can shut down his brain entirely and kill him. I will do whatever we deem necessary." He'd then lower head and look to Mira. "I trust your judgement entirely."

Mira nodded, lying back and crossing her arms undef her head, staring up at the ceiling. "Sounds like we're playing it by ear then. We distract, I unmask, you probe and see what you can do. If he decides to be violent, we be violent back. Let me know what you find in there though if you can, we can go from there." She laid the plan out verbally, closing her eyes a moment and trying to trace her steps back through the building. "We could trade him back to that group of followers in exchange for that sample....though to be honest, I'm not all that focused on finishing that job..." she opened her eyes and slid her glance toward Migoto. "We should get some rest if we're going to go at this head long." She pointed out.

Migoto positioned himself comfortably along the futon, his own arms behind his head as he looked over at Mira. "It's odd, isn't it? That we are where we are now. Seems only a moment ago we met, and now we plot together against a madman." He chuckled a bit and smiled. "So little time, so much excitement. I'm glad to have met you, Mira, and whether you choose to trade him for that sample or not, I will support you." He'd then turn his head to face upward, closing his eyes. "People like you make life worth living. I dread to think what sort of boring individual I might have met that day, if not you. We should indeed rest. Sleep well, Mira." He spoke softly before yawning.

Mira smirked, tilting her head to look over at him and nodded. "Yeah, its good we met. No regrets there." She grinned and looked back up at the ceiling for a moment before closing her eyes. "Yeah, you too. Sleep well." She took a deep breath, and without much waiting, was out like a light. She was thoroughly wore out as it was from the day, shedding her scales hadn't helped. Regardless, she slept soundly, the block Migoto put in place allowing her a night without nightmares

A coat of black covered his form, the collar buckled across his mouth. He wore a slick pair of black boots, gloves that allowed his black claws to protrude. His raven black locks were tied off in a braided ponytail and tied off with a crimson ribbon. His red eyes pierced through the darkness, shinning like embers in the Void. "Tell me, Migoto: are you enjoying you holiday?" Asked the man in a deep, cold voice. Migoto, frozen in terror, couldn't speak a word. Instead he watched as the man made his way over to the sleeping Mira, looming over her unconscious body. "This is why you betray me? This is the source of your heresy? ...I see. Continue your adventure, Migoto. But, once it's come to an end, know this: this girl - Mira, I believe she's called? Yes - Mira will become my slave."
Migoto then burst awake, a cold sweat pouring over him. He'd look about the room for the familiar boogeyman, then sigh. Another nightmare. He'd take a few deep breaths, calm himself, and roll over to go back to sleep.

Mira slept soundly for about another hour or so before rolling over and slowly opening her eyes. She shifted and sat up, running a hand through her hair, taking a moment to remember that she'd shifted her appearance. She looked over at Migoto, curious if he was still asleep or not. Gently she reached out to touch his shoulder. "Migoto, it's time we got moving..."
