Avalanche smirked as Kaito moved past them. "Who's the vigilante again?" They said as they turned to follow the boy. The levity in the tone invoked a youthfulness that the individual usually tried to conceal. As Kaito uploaded the surveillance tapes, Avalanche initially kept an eye on the video. However, after a long minute went by, the masked hero felt like breaking the ice. "So. Did you get caught into having to do community service, and that's how you led into being part of the bacon ranch?" Avalanche said as they were now curious about the boy. Despite all of his boast and claims in their fight about the APD being on the right side of things, he did show the instinct to do what was necessary to help those in need. That did make Kaito more interesting to the icy individual.

Selina brought Obei to one of the new bars which grew in prominence in the past five years. Although it was on a street with three other successful bar scenes, The White Rabbit housed various memorabilia from the battle against Kogarashi five years ago. Relics from monsters slain during the past battle were on display along the walls and behind the bar. There was even a giant golden serpent skull on display in the middle of the wall of booze. As Selina took a seat by the bar she instinctively surveyed the area. There were only a few people in since it was still before sundown, and the only other group seemed content to taking to the corner in the back of the room. Silently Selina chastised herself for being so paranoid. The Gust District has not had any criminal activity for the past eight months according to the APD records. Still, her police brain kept her vigilant in any area, especially in a bar as a woman.
"I know you like to take a look for yourself with the drinks, so why don't you order our drinks for us?" Selina said gently as she placed the tray of Obei's baked goods in front of her. "Something good though! Today we are celebrating." She said triumphantly. Selina had incredible news which she needed to tell someone, and since Obei was such a good friend, of course she had to be one of the first people. Selina knew that she also had to tell Kameyo, Kenshin, Ada, and Kojiro sooner than later, but for now, she wanted to have a girls day out with her girl.

โฏXxXxXKazuto finally arrived in town after his raining session with his stomach grumbling as ever stronger than before. The streets were quiet it was pretty late after all but there were still many shops open. With time he eventually came across his favorite dango shop across from some bar that was always busy, to pass the time Kazuto would often sit on the bench in front of the dango shop and people watch. Most of the time it was a pretty civil bar but other times a bar fight or two would spring up. Usually by a couple civilians and that's when Kazuto would intervene and stop them. He was very good at de-escalating situations.
โฏXxXxXWith dango in hand he would than sit at his bench and watch the bar."Looks pretty civil tonight...."He muttered to himself as he scanned the bar. He had always wondered why people would suddenly change after drinking so much of a certain liquid. He had never had nor had an appeal to alcohol before, but he was curious about what all the hubbub was about it though. Scanning the bar further he noticed a couple familiar faces sitting inside the one he knew about was a jonin by the name of Selina Rosewater she was also a famous pop star however he didn't recognize anyone else. A beautiful woman people seemed to like her a lo,t but Kazuto wasn't all that interested. All he wanted to do was to get stronger and become the best ninja he could. His goal was to become a chunin as fast as he could so he could venture outside the city and take on bigger missions. All he knew was Arashis walls and it was suffocating at times. Taking another bite of his dango he continued to watch the bar and the other shops down the road."It really is super quiet tonight..." He said with a dango stick poking out of his mouth.
Kaito pointedly ignored the vigilante comment, already uncomfortable with his willingness to bend the rules he was sworn by. Still, he snorted a laugh at the question and shook his head. "After the war, I needed a way to repent for the lives I took, stupidly and - well, accidentally - and I turned to the law. War happens when we defy the laws of the world and take our problems into our own hands. It's dangerous. I... I needed the structure they offered, it was -" his surprisingly honest confession was interrupted by the badge paging him.
He grabbed it, listened intently until he gathered the necessary data. "House district. There's trouble." He was back in detective mode, racing out of the backroom and through the building. He hoped Avalanche was close on his tail because he didn't intend to stop.
Avalanche fell silent as Kaito spoke. He was being truthful, which made the masked individual uneasy about how to respond. Just before they were expected to speak, however, the badge buzzed. When Kaito answered it, his expression shifted suddenly. As Kaito left Avalanche motioned toward the screen. "But the-" They said, but they knew it was no use. Unfortunately, Avalanche knew it was the right thing to go after them as well. After all, there was no evidence that the group kidnapping women would attack again. For this reason the masked warrior pursued the young boy, but at a serviceable distance. After all, they couldn't let it be assumed that they were working with the APD.

Where was Selina bringing her? Obei had never been to one of these bars before. They traveled all around the bar district while Obei did her best not to lose Selina in the hordes of other people walking around here. They arrived shortly after leaving the APD. The White Rabbit was the name of the bar. A step inside was more than enough to catch her interest in the different things. Trophies from past hunts and monsters, all of which made her longing to fight such a beast. "Big monsters. Very big monsters." Obei commented while looking back down at Selina upon having the drink ordering responsibility forced on her.
"Obei pick." She said confidently and began to peer all over the menu for their decisions. All of it seemed somewhat good, so Obei did the natural thing and went to the bartender before going, "Two of strongest drinks." Selina announced they were celebrating...something. As to what, well that was to be discovered. "Celebrating?" Obei repeated. "What Suh-Lee-Nuh and Obei celebrating?"

A silent shiver shot down Selina's spine as Obei ordered them the two strongest drinks. The young lady was not what the cool kids would call, alcohol tolerant. However, she did come to hang out with Obei, and she was sure that her friend could hold her liquor. As the two drinks came, Selina picked up hers and grimaced when the severe scent of alcohol hit her nose. "We are celebrating the biggest news! I got the part." She said as she took a sip of her drank, and nearly spat out the rest. However, like a lady she was able to keep herself from doing so. "I think I told you a while ago that I auditioned for the movie being made about the Kogarashi invasion. My agent told me that idols typically transition to the big screen since the newer kids will soon be taking the music market." Selina then raised a finger. "I do want to point out though, that Sunbeam Contact is still number one on the charts." She said, remarking about the success of her latest single. "But anyway, I auditioned. I haven't been that nervous since the time I had to ask Kenshin a favor. All of my work paid off, however, and I'm going to be one of the main characters!" Just as Selina was about to take another sip, her APD badge buzzed. Selina opened up her badge and gasped when she saw what was being reported. "Obei we have to go! There's some sort of attack going on in the agricultural district." She said as she got up from the table and slid the ryo necessary for their two drinks. Selina then bolted out of the bar as she was positive that Obei would follow behind.

โฏXxXxXWhile Kazuto watched the road, a door down the way suddenly flew open startled Kazuto choked on one of his dango as someone came bursting out. Movements told him it was another ninja but he wasn't sure until the second shinobi came following after the first. It was a fellow genin and they seemed to be in a rush. Intrigued Kazuto jumped up from his seat and followed after them something was up and he intended to figure out what.

Sheva walked into the Marketplace with the fighting near and handed the attendant her list โ Everything I need is right there. โ The asked for a moment while they collected everything. She nodded and started to walk around the store, she always like Arashi but after the War she didnโt know how she would have been able to stay. Being away from the only place that she called him was penance. She waited and heard the attendants gathering everything that she asked for, it was quite a commotion and quite a bit of things to gather. Waiting for it wasnโt an issue for her, it was the ANBU that were expecting the quick exit.

With a clenched jaw and tensed ocular veins, he was quite the sight for passerbys, although one that was typical for the denizens of Arashigakure when seeing their stark police captain's march. With each stomp, he mumbled under his breath into his cravat. His fellow pedestrians, if they listened carefully, could hear grunts about vigilanteism and interference by civilians in police matters. He raised his face when he eventually approached his target, Avalanche. "You." A baton was extended in a point from the head police officer toward the "local hero." "This is your first and final warning to stop getting involved in law enforcement without a badge, it's illegal." With that, Kenshin was already prepared to leave but only once he received verbal confirmation that his disgruntled decree was heard.

Avalanche was frozen mid motion as they were found by the captain of the APD, Kenshin Kosei. Years of anticipation and dread swelled within them as they already predicted the words which Kenshin would say to them. It was something they disliked greatly, but to say it was unexpected was naive. Still, to have the hero of Arashi himself show up to declare this decree. Avalanche felt an overwhelming surge of euphoria at being someone so important that Kenshin chose to hone in on. In an ideal world they would manage to find the right words to get Kenshin to sign the yonami card based on the user of the tenseigan so that they could forever have a piece of memorabilia from their hero. Unfortunately, they knew that they had to confront their icon. It was for this reason that Avalanche turned to face Kenshin with the same stoicism most people were familiar of them.
"To enroll in the APD requires a minimum of chuunin title, something only handed out by the kage of this village. Since he is a dastardly coward, I refuse to swallow my pride for such a position in his village, which means that the ranks of the APD are forever lost upon me." They said with their arms crossed. Was that alright to say? Despite Avalanche's composed persona, they were emotionally shaking in their boots. They did not think that they could handle being scorned by the man who brought justice to the land of storms. However, since Kenshin was here, there was something which they needed clarification on. "While I have you, I need a question answered. I am sure by now you are aware of Kaito, who is a fr-"
Avalanche cut themselves off just before they called the APD child something which they could not verify. "-Acquaintance of mine. When I was trying to solve a case about four disappearing Arashi women, Kaito seemed to have no knowledge of what I was speaking about. So I wonder, Captain of the APD. Are your police so blind that they have failed to noticed such a serious disturbance? Or was Kaito just not made aware of the dire situation because of his placement in your ranks?" Avalanche knew as soon as they said what they did that it was not the right thing to say. They wanted desperately to take it back the moment it left their lips. The truth of the matter though was that there were women in danger because these issues were not being resolved. Justice demanded that hard truths be confronted for the sake of the village. Justice also demanded that Avalanche sacrifice any good reputation they had with their hero.

While Kenshin agreed completely with Avalanche's assessment of Toso's character he refused to express mutiny. Kenshin would continue to serve Toso by virtue of his position despite making it clear to him that he did not respect him in the personal dimension. It had been years since he resigned from his position as the internal affairs advisor but he still maintained his position leading with APD with Ada as his loyal lieutenant. When Avalanche proceeded with their accusations against his department the captain's jaw clenched further. "I'm aware of the case and have come to investigate it myself. Reminding you of your place was a secondary concern. Finding you was convenient because you've been skulking around here trying to interfere." Kenshin levied an accusation of his own before continuing the tense conversation. "Are you foolish enough to believe everything a greenhorn of the department says?" The captain was through talking with this meddler and retracted his baton before walking away slowly and dismissively. After taking a few steps he quickly stopped and looked over his shoulder before adding a final note. "By the way, you've just bought your "acquaintance" another write up for sharing confidential case details outside of the department." Kenshin then turned and continued walking away while his byakugan kept track of Avalanche. He had a case to start and was not going to suffer the vigilante any further.

As Kenshin walked away Avalanche began to move forward to stop him. However, the masked ninja was hindered when two APD officers appeared from the shadows of the street. Their subtle notions of body language denoted that they were not in the location to do some shopping. Immediately Avalanche analyzed the two and stood more defensively.

The one on the right was a massive man easily over eight feet tall. The one on the left had his hands covered by long sleeves, although the subtle bending of the cuff showed that his fingers were slightly curved while hidden. Kenshin would easily recognize the man as Gonzo Masahiko, who was not a particularly high ranking officer, but still a member of the APD nonetheless. However, the two people behind him, in addition to the two people who aimed to close in on Avalanche's position, were not officers Kenshin would be able to pick up immediately. "This thorn caused enough trouble in the residential district. Combined with his... hers..." The man trailed off as he was not sure what the masked individual's gender was. "AVALANCHE's constant involvement in APD affairs, the local judge found enough grounds for an arrest. Feel free to keep on walking while we handle the child." He said assuredly. Avalanche scoffed at the wild confidence displayed by the man.
Still, if Kenshin cared to pay enough attention, then he would also notice a distinct tattoo on the right arm of the man on the left side approaching Avalanche. The tattoo would be something only gathered by rogues outside of Arashigakure's influence. It was possible that it was an old tattoo from a past life. However, the surge of ill will which radiated from the five of them was definitely something anyone with a passing knowledge of human empathy would be able to understand.
