A person would walk into the room, a Litleo at her heels. Both were alert, though the girl had a mask covering her face. This was going to be the start of something new...for the both of them. The way of the ninja took one step with her. She had passed the initial tests, what was one more? This battle was a way of truly proving she would do well. There was no room for failure. Making sure she had memorized as much of the room as she could, she would take a solid stance. "I'm ready to begin." Yue was determined to start her journey the right way.
A voice would mock in the darkness of the corners of the place ...radiating out wards as though an echo was bouncing off of an echo. A man would step out of shadows, like a ninja, but it was obvious he was no such a thing in his business suit as he looks over at the girl and gives a bit of a snort.
"Playing dress up are we? Ready are we? I think you aren't ready, not yet, but, it's not my job to assess your readiness yet. Nope, just whether or not you know how to battle."
"So, do you need me to take it slow and go over how to battle, or do you want to show me your prowess ..ol' mask one."
This man with black hair and green eyes stated with an air of annoyance. His sarcasm was high as he took his dark shades out and snap them onto his own face.
He was waiting for an answer.
Though he wasn't known for waiting too long, after all, time is money.
It was no surprise to her when a person emerged from the shadows. There was only so much room in this place and being on high alert had it's advantages. Plus from her hometown, this was normal. The ice blue eyes beneath the mask would calmly survey her opponent. This was it then. "We can start the battle, I know the rules."
Without a word from his trainer, the Litleo took a step forward. Battle, was it? Time to prove his strength and the bond between himself and his trainer. What would his opponent be? The lion cub's fur bristled slightly, keeping an eye on the trainer ready to start as well.
A smile that was anything but sweet spread on his face as he showed off half of the teeth in his mouth. He wouldn't actually grab a poke ball at all, but would snap his fingers as something would roll around his heel. A small round pokemon that resemble a poke ball as it turns to face him, and it's eyes would blink a few times before it would actually glare at the Litleo.
It would seem that this was a fire versus electric type of fight.
"It's seems you are very unlucky, because, we shall break you here."
The Voltorb would spark in response.
"Tackle."
They were not giving any openings to their opponent as the Voltorb would roll like a wheel straight at it's opponent at full speed.
Yue saw the look in the trainer's eyes and it looked a bit insane. Of course, this had to be the kind of people the Academy would attract. The Voltorb seemed to be pretty strong itself as it took off rolling. "Kyo, you know what to do."
The Voltorb was surprisingly fast. The ball started rolling towards him and he would brace himself for a second before pushing off with all four paws. If he stayed light on his feet, hopefully it would be enough to avoid the first attack!
The collision was hard and loud as the Voltorb made it's first hit into the last hit. The pokemon would roll to a stop after the damage was done.
"Easy,"
The man declares.
He would look over at the little ninja.
"Humph, you should have asked me to go over the rules maybe your pokemon wouldn't have been knocked out so quickly"
He sneers.
A snapping of the light would have a voice boom at him.
"Enough, Bentwood. You wanted to play around with the new ones, you have done it. Now stop gloating, it's time for you to get back to your real work."
The lights snapped back off and the man glared upwards at the ceiling.
"Humph," he looked backwards at her," I hope you get stronger so we can play again soon, lil' ninja, so in the meanwhile, you should head to the pokemon center to get your little kitty look after."
Bentwood giggled a bit before he turned and left the area.
Yue quickly recalled Kyo back to his pokeball. They had suffered such a quick defeat. But for some reason, the girl wasn't upset at all. This place...yes it would definitely be a good idea for them to have come here. People were strong. Stronger then she had imagined. That made the perfect opportunity for the pair to get strong as well. Defeat someone that is strong helped lead a person down the path to true strength. Walking out of the room, she would be eager to return and try again.
The pair would once more enter the Battle Room. Suddenly the bloodstained walls and floor didn't look as grim as before. The pair had changed for the better. It was time to test out Kyo's new strength and see if they were strong enough. They needed to be stronger if they wanted to even survive the bare minimum here at the academy. Failure was not acceptable. "We're ready to battle once more." Yue remarked to the seemingly empty room.
"Oh really, you are ready to battle? I never would have guess that was why you was here?"
A voice would declare almost over her shoulder. It would seem that this place was quite weird one, because though the room looks to be empty, a single shout is enough to bring someone literally out of the room's corners.
"So, who am I suppose to murder this time? I hope you aren't some stupid pipsqueak with a pokemon that's not worth my time."
The girl would declare as she twirls in a short skirt that was polka dotta white on a red skirt. The girl no more of a teenager would almost skip. She wasn't quite grown yet, and her age looked like it ranged from 15 thru 17 years of age.
"Oh yeah, do you need a walkthrough for this, or are you ready to scrap?"
She declares with her hands lock behind her back as she twist to face Yue. Her entire top was black and she had a big red and white bow on her head. It didn't really look good on her, but it would seem that it was a risky thing to tell someone like that.
She simply waited for an answer from Yue.

Lunarsun
This academy was a strange one. Had there been plenty from villages like her coming here? Turning around, she would gaze at the other girl and dismiss that fact. No way. This was going to be her opponent. Kyo didn't seem to have any ill effects from the experiment he had gone through. The Litleo at her heel stepped forward, ready for things to begin. "No walkthrough is necessary, we can begin the battle." Yue said, her voice emotionless, though inwardly she was curious what kind of pokemon would appear.
The girl would declare as she would hold out a poke ball.
"I am going to start off by summoning my party member to fight you, and since you are just a beginner I will make this a one on one battle. I won't try to destroy you too utterly."
She would declare as she releases a pokemon to the field as she holds the poke ball still in her hand. No toss up, she would click and release the reddish light as the pokemon would reformat onto the field.
A yellow pokemon would appear as it snorts loudly. It's tail lashing behind it as it raised up a grey head and started to look around for it's opponent as it's eyes locked on the Litleo.
The type advantage belonged to the fire cat, but will it be enough to help it. This wasn't a weak pokemon as it glared dangerously at it's opponent, but he wasn't weak either. He would ground his feet into the ground underneath him.
(Prepare yourself)
He would declare to the Litleo.
(You will met defeat today)

This time they would not be underestimating their opponents. The Shieldon would be a fair opponent. The girl gave a slight nod to her Litleo before taking a step backwards. The slight nuance might not have been as obvious to the other trainer, or if it had, why would it matter? The battle was beginning.
The Litleo gazed calmly at the Shieldon, surveying his opponent. A pokemon like this was known for it's defense. It would be a hard thing to break through. The fire cub would spot Yue's movement and then know what was expected of him. Taking a step forward and then bracing himself, his maw would spread wide as flames spit forth. He was attempting to start this battle off with a Fire Spin!
The flames would spin towards him. He should have ran, but he wouldn't ...instead he would ground his feet further into the mat and he would lower his hooded head. A pokemon from the past, in a world of fire and earth, this was something that he had already learned how to protect himself from.
Sweeping his body upwards in a fast that created a fast current. He would try to disrupt the flying flames by blowing them away or at least redirecting them with the move.
It was a risk, a huge risk to not simply try and avoid it, but this pokemon wasn't going to back down.
"Upward slashing defense!"
His trainer would call out as she pulled out an umbrella seemly from nowhere. The flash of movement so quick as it mimics the Shieldon's own movements.

The maneuver would work as the flames were not strong enough. The way the Shieldon would brush them past would easily have them not doing any damage at all to the pokemon's thick hide. The Litleo looked angry for a second but tried to calm down. Anger would not solve anything. A pokemon that lost itself in anger would not win a battle. Too many battles usually resulted in reckless behavior. There would be other chances. The first strike had been set. Instead he would take off running. He would need to stay light on his feet. The Shieldon was a heavy pokemon, he needed to be able to stay ahead and predict what direction his opponent would go! This would be his plan of defense!
Surprisingly enough, there would be no chase. The Shieldon had expected a lot of things, but not that the pokemon would attack with such a fiery attack. A lot of fire types only learned their fire moves later in life, and thus with this in mind ...they had been expecting a much more physical attack.
"This might be a bit harder, let's go with defensive measures, 2."
The girl would declare as the Shieldon would actually start to concentrate on shielding himself. A bluish light would start to form around the pokemon, the Shieldon was trying to use protect.
