The snow would start to taper off. It wasn't a deep and bits of greener would seem to show here and there. They were reaching the end of the snow, but what did that mean for them?
None of them knew, but this part of their adventure looked like it was quickly coming to an end.
Mizuki rode Kovu with a smile on his face.
He would remember the cold, but was glad he wouldn't have to go back there to get home.
Or at least, he hoped that would be the case as he peered ahead at the new land.
Brian could tell from the reaction the Nosepass gave that it was happy he'd chosen to battle. He knew that Purr's Scratch attack wouldn't do much against a Rock-type like Nosepass, but it was the only really damage-dealing attack that Purr knew. He watched as the attack did pretty much nothing, and nodded when Purr looked at him, causing the Psychic-type to jump back toward him and ready herself for the attack that was sure to follow.
When the attack felt like a bit of a breeze against her, she had to admit she was wondering about whether this fight was going to be a bit more cruel on her end.
Trainer's pokemon was suppose to be strong.
Maybe she just caught this one by surprise, and if she kept fighting he would warm up to give her a really good fight.
Thus, it was important not too make the battle too dangerous for her. She would focus her attention at the stones at his feet.
There would be no new opponents, or else they would feel the wrath of her Stealth Rock. Or at least, that was her thought as she tries to rise the attack from the sands underneath the Espurr's feet. Nosepass(f) lvl:2/Serious Hp: 13 Sp: 17 Att: 7 Def:11 Spd: 6 Sp Att: 7 Sp Def: 9 Moves: Tackle, Stealth Rock Exp to Gained: 60 Capture roll: 14
Brian watched the Nosepass to see what she would do, and saw the Rock-type focus her attention on the stones at his feet. He wondered what she was trying to do, but quickly realized that she was likely trying to use Stealth Rock, which wouldn't do much, since Purr was currently the only Pokemon he had on him. Even still, he couldn't let Purr take as much damage as she did the last time. "Purr, dodge," he called calmly, and the Espurr nodded as she tried to move out of the way of the attack.
There was no dodging this attack, the pokemon's power was just that great. The stones would seem to come from the ground all around the pokemon, sharp edged rocks that hid amongst the seemingly innocent sand. The Espurr would be okay, she had seen the attack and knew to be careful, but any other pokemon brought to the field would have a surprise waiting for them.
With this in mind, the Nosepass would smile.
Now it was time for this pokemon to show her what she was made of. She hunker down, her stone skin one of her best barriers as she waited for he incoming attack.
Brian knew that Purr would be alright as far as the Stealth Rock, as it only affected Pokemon that came into the battle after the Pokemon the move was used on. He wasn't sure if Scratch would work, but it was worth a shot. "Purr, Scratch again!" he said. "If this doesn't work, we'll fall back to Plan B."
The sound of her claws scrapping off of the skin of the Nosepass could be heard throughout the desert. A sound like nails on a chalkboard as the scratch would leave a mark on that stoney hide as the Nosepass quite literally heard and felt that one.
The pokemon's eyes were practically sparkling.
She had felt pain, most pokemon even if they hit her ...couldn't leave a scratch, but this pokemon had managed to do it. It had actually hurt, and that meant, she could fight seriously. This pokemon is a threat, and she could enjoy the battle for her life for once.
Happiness filled her a she lowered her head and came at the pokemon with a charge. Her body lowered to the ground as she attempted to tackle the pokemon in rebuttal of the last attack.
Brian had been hoping that Purr would have been able to do more damage, but Rock-types were resistant to Normal-type attacks, so there wasn't much he could have done. He gritted his teeth as Purr's claws scraped over the rocky hide of the Nosepass, the sound hurting his ears. At least she literally left a scratch, he thought, a small smile playing around his lips. When the Nosepass lowered her head and charged forward with her body low to the ground, he called out to Purr again. "Purr, to the side!" he said, his voice calm despite the Nosepass charging at his best friend.
The attack would miss, her body flashing by the pokemon. Though she decided that now wasn't the time to turn around, speed was key here and she is by natural a slow and solid pokemon.
Thus, she wouldn't stop her tackle as she tries to use it to get out of range of any more attacks. Her feet plowing through the sands as she pushed through.
This was the thrill of battle, and the excitement of a challenge.
Brian watched as Purr completely dodged the Tackle attack, allowing the Nosepass to sail harmlessly past her. Even with her momentum, Purr and Brian both knew that now was the time to try and end this battle. "Purr, do it!" he said, and the Espurr nodded, leaping forward with her claws shining white one more time, hoping to end the battle this time, or at least do more damage.

Hp: 5 This time the claws would sink deeply into the rock pokemon. She just wasn't fast enough as the claws would literally cut into the a weakness in her stoney hide on her back. Shredding rock from her body, she would turn around to feel the pain radiating from her back and the pokemon's claws were the cause.
Things were getting serious.
Very serious, but she wasn't done. Not yet, and now the girl's mind had switched, she was no longer concerned with how great the battle was with the trainer ...but now, she needed to make her own impression.
Trainer pokemon are awesome.
So, what would make him want to train me?
The answer was obvious.
(I am no one's punching bag, prepare yourself cat!)
I think that's literally the first time I've rolled a 20 in a battle, lol. I'm gonna have Brian try to catch Nosepass on the next post.
Brian smiled as Purr did quite a bit of damage that time. It seemed the Espurr was really getting into the battle now, as she, too, had a slight smile on her face. So far, the Nosepass hadn't been able to land a clean hit on Purr, but Brian knew that could all change in an instant. As the Nosepass turned to charge again, Brian saw Purr glance at him, and he nodded once. The Psychic-type ignored the jab from the Rock-type, instead returning Brian's nod and jumping to one side, hoping to avoid the angry Tackle headed her way.
The nose pass would miss again. Her body sliding to a stop as she remember how badly she had been hurt the last time she had given her back to the pokemon.
This time, she turned around to face her opponent to let her rock hard skin do it's job. The strength of her body should be enough to resist any and almost all attacks. Her eyes narrowed.
She hadn't managed to land a blow yet, but she refused to give up.
Brian watched as the Nosepass missed Purr again, and he decided it was time to take a risk. He'd missed his chance in the last battle, and he didn't want to screw it up this time. Glancing at Purr, he gave a slight nod, and the Psychic-type backed off as he pulled a Pokeball from his belt. Aiming at the Nosepass, he threw the Pokeball, hoping that this time, he would be able to catch a new friend.
The Nosepass expected another hit with Espurr's claws, but what she got instead was something that took her completely by surprise.
The poke ball would bounce off of the pokemon's head as it would spin in the air a few times before landing heavily on the ground. The battle was over in a flash as the Nosepass disappeared into the poke ball. The object rocking once, twice, and a final hard third time before the poke ball went still.
She hadn't thought she did well enough to become a trainer's pokemon, but she wasn't going to turn down a good event like this one either.
