Unlike herself, who had been ready to take the fall and deal with the damage of it, Scylla seemed to have other ideas in mind. Ridley watched as the girl used her guitar as a wedge between the rocky walls of the cave to keep herself from falling all the way to the ground. Poor Adam had taken the brute of it. She could tell he was in pain as he set her back down on the ground. Ridley looked at him with concern in her golden gaze, just hoping that the damage wasn't major. It had been quite the fall. "Are you sure you're alright?" She asked Adam, sounding a bit skeptical as she looked at him with a raised brow.
Up above them from her perch on her guitar, Scylla was the first to answer her question. As far as she knew neither her own, the musician's, or Adam's semblance would help them out of this mess. They could dig footholds and climb out, as she had mentioned, but that would take time, which was something they may or not have. This trap was put here for a reason. To keep people out. Ridley was sure there were more of them. Just as she had a feeling they would soon come face to face with these people. Ideally when that time came, they wouldn't still be stuck in a hole thirty feet under. Their only real hope, was that their peers up top had a more efficient plan than taking the time to dig out footholds.
As if on cue a flurry of ice arrows zoomed passed them, burying themselves in the wall opposite of them. A small smile touched her lips and she made a note to thank Cecil later. That and his semblance which had proven itself handy in more than one way. It wasn't limited to the offense like her's was. Up above she could also hear the crunching of metal, which she could only assume was Onyxia. At least they knew their teammates were wasting no efforts to get them out. As much as Ridley appreciated all of their handiwork, it was Azura's preparedness that won out in the end. A rope was the quickest and simplest way out of this mess.
The girl looked questionable as Adam approached her with the intent of placing her on his back. She knew he was already hurting and didn't want to make that any worse. "Are you sure?" She questioned, but he seemed pretty insistent. She didn't have much time to argue in any case and he did have a good point. The faster they could get out of here, the better. She hopped up, wrapping her arms over his shoulders and her legs around his torso. She did her best to hold herself in place without causing any further pain to him. She was a bit worried, but at his comment about her weight she couldn't help but let out a soft laugh. "What can I say? I work out." She joked, shaking her head slightly.
With the combined efforts of the group, it wasn't long before they had managed to pull the two of them up over the ledge. Releasing her grip on Adam, she rolled to the side, staring up at the cave ceiling for a moment. "Yeah, thanks a million guys." Ridley chimed in with Adam. After a moment she forced herself up, climbing back to her feet and brushing the dirt off her knees. Walking back to the rope, she stood behind the others, ready to help pull Scylla out of need be. Ridley nodded at Adam's comment about pushing forward, lingering could be dangerous. "Just keep your eyes peeled, I doubt that was the only trap in the smelly place."
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings.
Scylla waited for the others to climb up the rope. Once they were up she grabbed onto the rope with one hand letting her feet rest against the wall as if she was almost repelling. She then grabbed her guitar and gave it a hard toss up the hole. It went straight up and ended up landing outside the hole spikes in the ground keeping it in an upright position. "You can just hold the rope steady, I'll climb out. No reason to have to pull me out yourselves."With that she let her feet walk her up as far as possible before using the rope fully. She climbed up the rest of the way on the rope. It didn't take too long before she was at the top. One hand grabbed onto the ledge and she then let go of the rope with the other grabbing the ledge. She then pulled herself up onto the ledge and stood up. "Alright if everyone's fine I'd like to move on. We've probably already given our position away. Not to mention they will probably hear us coming from a mile away." She sighed and picked up her guitar and started to continue on.
As the teams walked further down the mine shaft, after conquering the pit, they would go forward. Further into the cave, there would be area's that looked like that you could go down it normally, but it they were collapsed, making it so there was only a semi-straight path. Suddenly a line would snap, and roaring towards the group from the ceiling would be a support beam, crashing towards them. The beam itself takes up half of the corridor, and is 30 ft in length.
[[OOC: Ok, I decided whom was going to fall based on dice rolled on Discord. It's in the Dash Delta chat. (The dice say that Scylla, Ridley and Ceil should be trapped. It is a Dead fall trap if you want to look it up.]]

Cecil watched as his allies left the pit before they continued on. It seemed as though the pain of the past was non-existant now, namely the fall seeing as how they caught themself. Cecil's mind was wandering when he heard something snap, a roaring coming from somewhere and before Cecil could deduce where it was, he looked up and was immediately slammed to the ground, his Cane shattering due to it being made of ice. His aura had defended him from it being a fatal pinning, but it still hurt as he was unable to get away from the falling beam. "Uuuugh...." He groaned in pain as he was trying to recollect his surroundings as he looked around to see who else it may have caught.

They didn't make it much farther through the cave before they fell pray to the traps of the bandits once more. There was a strange swooshing sound that echoed the cave, a slight breeze ticking at her lungs, and then before she could so much as blink her golden eyes, a support beam rushing towards them. Ridley didn't have time to move and the giant metal boat hit her square in the chest. It sent her flying backwards and she might have helped it been had the sound not got stuck in her throat as the breath was knocked right out of her. She collided with the cave wall, groaning slightly as her back was thrust forcefully against it. The beam was quick to follow her, colliding painfully with her chest and crushing her against the rocky surface.
It left her breathless, coughing and sputtering as her lungs struggled to expand against the weight of the beam. Her sternum felt like she'd gotten kicked in the chest by a rhino, every breath, every movement, sending shooting pains through her entire chest and rib cage. There was a sharp, throbbing pain just above her left hip. Her arms were both trapped at angles that prevented her from feeling it, but it didn't take her long to make a guess. She could feel the blood, warm and sticky as it created a small blossom on her torso. What she could only suspect was the cause of a long rusty nail, jutting from the beam, and now lodged into her body. For a moment Ridley struggled, instinctively shoving against the wooden post, however the movements brought a surge agony through her chest. Every twist and wriggle of her body caused the nail to dig deeper into her torso. The pain was so great that it actually caused the stubborn girl's eyes to water.Ridley refained from blinking, defiant as ever as she refused to let the droplets spill from her eyes.
Letting out along sigh, she dropped her head back against rock, letting her eyes close for a moment. Working to regain her composure, she twisted just enough to try and get a better look at the situation. She was surprised to see that both Cecil and Scylla were trapped with her. Concern crossed her face as she glimpsed her teammates form. He was still recovering from his previous injuries... this would surely do nothing but make things worse for him. "Are you okay, Cecil?" She asked with a slightly strained voice. Despite her distaste for Scylla, she turned her gaze towards Scylla. Like it or not, they were in this together and there were clearly much bigger enemies to worry about. "And you?"
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings.
They were now on there way again. At least now they were moving, well until they apparently ran into another trap. She heard the sound of a line snapping and something was falling. There was no time to think so she just jumped one way to hopefully dodge whatever trap it was. Though judging by it coming from the ceiling it narrowed down the choices. She jumped to the side and while avoiding a direct hit from the beam her leg got caught up underneath the beam. She had activated her aura, of course, to be safe but it still hurt having her leg trapped under a beam. With that, she became more than annoyed, angry in fact. Her temper was now going to flare up. This was not something that normally affected her but these traps were restricting her movement and that in turn was trying to limit her freedom. She held her freedom above all else. When someone tried to take that away she may as well be a dangerous animal backed into a corner. Suddenly she let out an angry ear-piercing scream that would hurt everyone's ears. Her eyes were intense with rage and she was clearly not regulating her semblance like she normally did. She was now a danger to everyone around her, that was just one of the drawbacks of sound. "OH ******** LOOK MORE GOD DAMN TRAPS. MAYBE THE DAMN HEADMASTER SHOULD HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH ON THIS "ESCAPE ROUTE". YOU DON'T PUT TRAPS ON AN ESCAPE ROUTE, THEY AREN'T COMING THIS WAY. NO, IN FACT, THIS MAY AS WELL BE ONE BIG TRAP FOR US. THEY WANT TO RESTRICT MY FREEDOM? NOBODY DOES THAT, IM GOING KILL THEM ALL."
Scylla began to kick at the beam extremely hard with her free foot. She was kicking it hard enough to actually somewhat move it. It was not enough to unpin her leg though. She took her guitar which she had held onto despite everything and slid it under the beam. She used it to give her an angle to lift the beam a bit. After putting some force and weight into it she managed to lift the beam enough to get her leg out of it. She was then able to drop her aura and stand up. She basically didn't even notice the other people with her, only the path ahead. She put on her headphones and suddenly took a mighty swing with her guitar down onto the beam. The guitar and the spikes crashed through the wood as splinters flew. The guitar had basically smashed into the beam quite a good way into it. She took a couple more swings till the beam was at least weakened in that spot. Then without another word to the others, she took off running, continuing on the path. This time her eyes were on the lookout for traps and she would dodge every single one. It was clear she no longer cared about stealth.
The pit was now behind them and no longer a worry in their mind. They continued forward and Adam held his side a bit. "I didn't think I hit the ground that hard. I think it may bruise." he thought as he tried to roll his shoulder and test the damage to his side by trying the movement of his right side. He silently winced at the moves he made. "Ok. I hope this won't be a problem. It'll be better if I could bind it." he thought to himself. He was quickly snatched from his thoughts as he heard a snap. "What was th-!" he jumped to the right dodging the large support beam. It took up half of their paths width so he had to slam into the wall on his bad side to avoid it. He dropped to his knees in pain as his ears were ringing from the sudden stimulation in his abdomen. His clenched eyes opened to see Cecil, Ridley and Scylla were no longer in front of him. He looked around in a panic and shakily stood to his feet.
All pain he felt disappeared as he saw the result of the trap. "Yo, Cecil? You good, bro?" he asked. Taking a support beam to the chest you'd think the answer obvious, but he didn't know the extent of his damage. All Adam knew was that Cecil was still conscious. In pain, but not dead. He looked for Scylla and Ridley. Adam's eyes widened in surprise and he ran to the triggered trap. "Ridley..." he said concerned. He wasn't sure what to do. To ask her if she was ok would be completely idiotic. He saw she was struggling to push the beam off of herself, but she failed. "She's taken some damage." he thought. "Why couldn't I have some type of strength semblance?" he accidentally thought aloud. "Ridley. I'm not exactly sure what to say right now." his demeanor darkened. "Except we gone get you the hell outta there. We gotta get your sword back, 'member?" he instantly lit up with a smile. Adam hoped she didn't think he was smiling at her misfortune. "Man, you and Scylla have bad lucks with traps, huh?" he smiled a bit. Jokes may be inappropriate at this time, but that's exactly why the situation needed to be lightened.
Adam thought that once Cecil was on his feet he could probably use his ice to numb Ridleys pain so they could help her without more discomfort...except for a numb chest. He turned to Ridley and tried to lighten the situation again. He took her hand softly and looked in her eyes. "Ya semblance is gonna be a bit stronger now, huh?" he said with a concerned smile. His people were being hurt and he wasn't able to do much. Joking was his way of making himself feel better. And not useless. But he brought his mind back on a positive track. He looked around for Scylla after he gently removed his hand from Ridley's. He didn't have to look far as he swiftly covered his own ears against his leaders assault on his eardrums. "Yo, Scylla! Turn it down!" he shouted, but his voice was no match for hers. The noise died and all surprise was now ripped from them. He didn't blame Scylla for her her outburst due to her feelings, but it could have been handled better. He saw her breaking the beam with her illogically heavy guitar. Still a mystery to him. His eyes grew in worry as she was shattering the beam and no one knew Ridley's condition. This is gonna hurt was the first thing he thought as the beam was splintered and destroyed. "If they didn't know we were here. They do know." he said. He went over to Scylla to see if she wasn't too badly damaged. "Yo, you good?" he asked making sure she didn't sustain too bad of damage. He looked over over and saw her foot was what the beam hit, but her aura was healing her. "I'm glad you're safe, Scy." he smiled. He turned back to Ridley knowing her damage was more serious. He slowly moved her off the wall away from now broken beam using himself as support. "Rid, say something, girl. Talk to us." Adam said.

Ridley couldn't hear much from over on Cecil's end other than a groan of pain. It wasn't exactly comforting, but at least she knew he was still alive. That at least made her feel slightly better. On Scylla's end, she heard a whole lot of yelling that caused a frustrated groan to pass through her lips before she could stop herself. The yelling was followed by a scream. An ear-peircing, blood-curdling, wretched scream. It was so loud it made her ears ring, sending a sharp splitting pain through her forehead. Arms pinned, Ridley couldn't exactly plug her ears and as such she left with no other option than to lie there and cringe. "Shut up, will you?" She called out, though in her pained state it didn't come off sounding nearly as malicious as she had intended it to. Letting out an irritated sigh, much louder than really necessary, she lie there with her eyes squeezed shut, wishing she had the ability to rub her temples and doing everything in her power to think about absolutely anything but the nail digging into her torso.
It was quiet for a moment and the next thing she was aware of was Adam's voice near her. She could hear the concern in his voice and worked at a smile in an attempt to reassure him. The expression was somewhere between a crooked smirk and a grimace, her eyes still shut. "You know... it is a shame. Super strength would come in handy right about now." She stated in a tone that suggesting she was merely teasing but there was some seriousness behind the comment. At his comment about her sword , the partial smirk on her lips grew and a strained sort of chuckle escaped her lips. "Right! Can't fall short before I even get my sword back." She replied. Had her hands not been trapped, she might even give him a teasing salute. "Yeah.. leave it to me to fall down a pit and get impaled all in the matter of ten minutes." She could hear the smile in his voice and despite everything she was thankful for his jokes. Whether humor was appropriate right now or not, she welcomed the distraction.
There wasn't time for more playful banter before she felt it. As Scylla's guitar slammed into the beam, splintering the wood, a blinding pain shot through Ridley's torso. The force of the blow caused the beam to crush harder against her and in suit the nail buried itself deeper with in her flesh. A pained moan escaped her lips, getting cut off half way as she bit down hard on her lip to keep the sound at bay. Another swing of the guitar, the beam shuddered and pressed against her, the nail grinding against her rib cage. She bit down harder on her lip, her teeth digging into the pinky flesh and drawing blood. Scylla continued hacking at the beam with her guitar and all Ridley could think was how much she wanted to slam her fist into the girl's gut. Hot headed t**t... can't even asses a situation before smashing things.
Finally, it stopped. Torso throbbing, she felt the pressure relieved from her as Adam moved the beam away from her and helped her off the wall. Her knees were wobbly at first and her hands shaky, so she accepted Adam's support gratefully, as she was not entirely sure she could stand on her own yet. Arms stiff from being pinned so tightly, her joints creaked as she moved them, pressing her hands tightly against the bloodied hole above her left hip. A slight smile tugged at her lips when Adam mentioned her semblance growing stronger. Every injury she received was just something she could use against an enemy. Granted, she'd been through worse and were anyone to see the scars covering her body that she took so much care to hide, they might know that. Still, having a dull, rusty nail drove repeatedly into her flesh had been quite near excruciating. Once again Adam's voice sounded, pleading with her to say something. "I'll be okay." She said, voice much softer than what was normal for the girl.
Looking around her eyes scanned each of them, glad to see that both Onyxia and Azura seemed unharmed. "Cecil, how are you doing?" She asked, concern tainting her pained force, golden eyes searching for her teammates frame in the dum light. Scylla on the other hand was now where to be seen. Ridley muttered a few indistinguishable words under her breath, her frustration for the girl steadily increasingly as she peered down the mine shaft in the direction she must have gone. Real smart. Let's run off by ourselves... see what good that does us. She thought bitterly. Hadn't they already discussed that staying mmf together way the best option?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings.
One would have thought with the pit behind them it would be smooth sailing, not so much the case. The beam falling and landing one people didn’t make things much better, and neither was Scylla's tantrum. Raising her shield she blocked the splinters. Sadly for Scylla, Onyxia was done with attitude. Walking over to the girl she moved Scylla aside. "Shut up and listen. You want to be Leader you need to keep a ******** level head. You don’t get to act like a child because of these incidents. This may not be an escape route for our friends but one for the bandits." She lifted Scylla closer to look her dead in the eyes. "Grow up. No one is trying to restrict your freedoms here. If you keep acting like a child you be treated like one and no one will listen." Putting Scylla back down she looked to the group. "Assume they've heard us and prepare for a fight. Any form of surprise we had is now gone." Looking back to Scylla she gave a small head shake. "Be the leader I believe you can be. Act like a child again and I'll take over. This is not joke it’s a threat."

Azura Knight
“Just glad I could help.” Azura told the group after Adam said she was the best and Onyxia stated she was glad someone brought one, though she would be lying to herself if she said she didn't admit she was feeling pretty good about herself at the moment. First the flashlights, then the rope. Preparing before coming to the mine had turned out to be more useful than she expected. Honestly while packing she had been a bit worried she was being overly cautious. Azura quickly tied one end of the rope to the metal track and through the other end down the hole. In no time the three were back on....cave level. It could have been an accident. Some old wood giving way after a while, but Azura wasn't certain about that. The others walked in front, while she lagged behind while neatly folding up the rope to place in her bag. It would turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
They didn't get much further when a line snapped and a large beam fell. Luckily it missed Azura. Or at least if asked she would say it was just luck. Due to her position in the back she had the most time to move out of the way. Oh no, Cecil. Her first though upon seeing the three pinned members was for the injured member of the team. Would it set back his recovery? Would he able to walk once they removed the log? She jogged the last few steps towards the fallen companions, though she wasn't entirely sure what she could do. She certainly hadn't packed any kind of jack that could help, and illusions weren't going to move the large beam. She didn't have time to say or do much of anything before Scylla started screaming. Azura doubled over in pain as she quickly clapped both hands over her ears while Scylla seemed to thrash like a while animal. Then it went quiet.
Azura straightened and looked up in time to watch Scylla slam her guitar down on the beam with horror. “Wait! Stop!” Azura cried, but in her rage Scylla either ignored her or simply hadn't have heard her. She wanted to stop Scylla however she wasn't sure how with the other leader in her current state. “You are hurting them! We need to move the beam carefully!” This too fell on deaf ears as the leader of SODA continued to swing away at the log. Onyxia seemed equal horrified, though her response took the form of anger rather than the desperation Azura felt. The beam finally broke and Scylla ran off. The girl was going to get herself killed, but that wasn't Azura's priority at the moment. Adam seemed to have Ridley so Azura ran to Cecil's side, offering support if he needed it. “Cecil, say something.” Her voice was full of concern, but she remained calm. Ridley was bleeding too, but of course Ridley being Ridley, she was more worried about Cecil. “Onyxia, my bag, get the bandages and help Ridley.” She instructed the other member of team SODA. She would have done it herself if her hands weren't full with Cecil.
Cecil remained mostly quiet as he was trying to think of a way for them to get out from underneath the beam, yet the voices that followed made it hard for him to think. He calmed himself as best as he could, soon hearing the concerns of Ridley asking him if he was alright. "....To be frank, I've been better." He responded, giving her note that he was definitely hurting, his aura was already weakened due to the explosion near the start of the school year, and it has not had enough time to get back to normal, even for his back, to be fully healed. This definitely does feel like a set-back for him as he was being held down by a more blunt lower half of the beam. No nails or anything, just wood that was definitely heavier than he could lift. He tried to move, pulling himself to try and pull his lower half free as he heard Adam asking the same question. He stared at the man calmly and spoke, "I can still feel my legs thankfully." In reference to the fact that he was unable to pull free and could still feel pressure on his legs. It did not help that one of them was screaming bloody murder while being a pain in the a**. He hoped that was all she did.
He heard the question from Ridley first, but before he could respond, he could feel the beam moving... uncomfortably moving as it seemed to be bouncing and pushed. Cecil had to do everything he could to stifle his cries of anguish, his aura beginning to flicker as he curled one of his hands into a fist. Ice slowly formed around his hand before he shook his head, fighting off a dark awakening inside of him as he was breathing heavily. Azura came by to check on him and help, he looked to her in the eyes, a sight of both pain and serenity on his face before he held up his left hand, it was bleeding. "I......will not... die here." He told Azura, informing her that he intends to survive, at this point his semblance pushed further, his body had slowed it's own bleeding process from the veins constricting due to the cold, he could only hope it helped the others. Soon enough, the beam was broken and off of his lower half, his legs had sustained quite a bit of damage as he dragged himself away and closer to Azura. It felt better but it was not perfect as he grabbed a tight hold of his weapon while he looked to Scylla with hatred before shaking his head. "Let's get moving alright?" He asked Azura, holding his right hand up instead so she could grab and help him up.

The minute Onyxia tried to touch Scylla she would knock her hands away. It was bad enough that she was pissed but to be questioned in every little thing she did was just as bad. True she was quite angry and had lost her temper but she had not suddenly forgotten why they were here. "How about you shut up and listen. Take your speech and shove it down your throat. Not everyone gets to be an emotionless b*****d. That includes even me. So yeah I'm ******** angry, get the ******** over it. I am still doing whats best. This is not an escape route for anyone, because you don't put traps on an escape route. How exactly would the enemies escape if they have to disarm their own traps every five feet, or if they had to avoid all of them?" She turned around and walked forward. She had no interest in explaining everything and but she, unfortunately, had to because people had no clue what she did.
She then turned back around and shook her head. "Let's talk about that beam I destroyed. The one too heavy for us to lift, not with the two trapped fully under it. The only reason I got out was that I used some leverage and only had on leg stuck. It was all I could do just to get my leg out. No way we were lifting it enough for them to get out. So I broke it in half and I did it quickly. The two were going to get hurt by it no matter what. They are either fine or they are not and need to go back. I did what was best and quickest. Any surprise we had was gone by this trap for sure because if they didn't hear the noise from this beam they didn't hear me either. They probably expected us to come anyway. Now I'm going to go ahead and disarm the traps alone since I at least know something about traps. They seem like basic ones I've set up and dealt with before. We can't stumble into any more of them like idiots. You guys can follow when you are ready. One last thing, don't bother with threats. Next time better just attack me if you want your precious leader position so badly. The only way you'll get it, not like you would do a great job clearly though." With that she ran off ahead to disarm the traps on her own as she had meant to from the beginning. Though she didn't say it it was probably better someone tried to stop her so she would be forced to explain, that and at least calm herself a small degree so she could disarm these traps correctly.
Adam peered at the wound above Ridley's hip. Due to the color of her clothes, he couldn't tell how much blood she lost or how deep the wound was. But one thing was for sure: she was fighting back tears pinned underneath that beam. He saw the blood and bruise around her bottom lip. Creating pain somewhere else to distract you from your initial pain. It was practically instinct. He could do to her what he did to himself back at the gym and seal the wound with his glove, but that would waste bullets and she'd already been through enough. “Onyxia, my bag, get the bandages and help Ridley.” said Azura. But Onyxia was talking to their leader. Adam took it upon himself to grab them. He slowly walked Ridley over to the wall closer to Azura and Cecil. He held her back to his chest and wrapped his arm around her. "Yo, this gon hurt a bit. Just relax ya legs a but keep them straight and let them slide down. I'm gonna get those bandages for ya." Adam said. He slowly slid down the wall hoping she heard him and did as he so not to put any unnecessary pressure on her wound. Adam slowly and CAREFULLY removed himself from behind Ridley and went to retrieve the bandages. He dug through the bag looking for the med supplies and found quite the bit of handy things in there.
Adam soon thought it would be a better idea just to bring the whole bag over in case someone needed something else. He placed the bag down between himself and Azura and sifted through it to grab the bandages, a cloth and a bit of antiseptic ointment. "Wow, Azura. You really look out for your people. Wish we could've had more people like you in my hood growin' up." he smiled as he complimented. He stood up with his items and headed over to Ridley. He knelt in front of the wound. "I'm sorry." he said. He grabbed a bit of fabric around the would and tore it for better access. "For that. And for my leader." he said a bit somber. He tore a bit of the cloth he had and dabbed her wound removing the blood in and around it.
"Ya' know" he began and made sure his voice was only audible to them two. "When I was first thrown into the PlayPen I was about 5. I had no idea what was going on. I was in that little shack we called a house playing with some junk I found the day before." he smiled at his memory. "All of a sudden some real trashy lookin' clowns came and picked me up. Moms tried to stop them and they had the nerve to hold a knife to her throat tellin' her 'It was time' whatever the hell that meant. Seein' that was the first time I felt true fear and pain. And nothin' had been done to me. I was just scared for mom and the fear in her eyes hurt the mess outta me. It was the first time I remember crying." he said finishing cleaning the blood. He tore off another piece of clean cloth. He folded it twice the long way and said, "Open. I need you to hold this." with a smile. He placed the cloth in her mouth and continued with the story grabbing yet another piece of clean cloth. "After what seemed like foreeeeever and a day we made it to wherever they wanted me. I forgot to mention they black bagged me. A 5 year old." he chuckled at the memory. "Anyway I was, literally, thrown into a cage about 14 ft high and 10 ft wide?" he said trying to recall the dimensions. He placed the antiseptic ointment on the cloth as he held his head up remembering. He rubbed the cloth against itself a few times to make sure he spread the ointment enough. "My eyes adjusted to the light as I heard a loud lockin' noise. I looked behind me and saw stands of people hootin' and hollerin'. I looked in front of me and there was another kid just like me. Shakin' and cryin' screaming how he didn't want to do 'this.'" Adam said.
"Next thing I know I hear someone yell at the kid, "Do it! Or you'll die like the other one!" Adam shouted in a whisper still trying to keep the story between the two of them. "I was so surprised at his words I didn't even see the kid stopped shakin' or cryin'. I looked at him and what I saw wasn't a kid. A boy. Or human damn near. I saw an animal backed into a corner. I was so... what's the word?" he said snapping trying to jog his mind. "Ah! Taken by that I took a step back outta fear." he explained. "IT lunged at me, but I got outta the way. After a few minutes of runnin' from him I heard metallic clanging. They were throwing weapons into the ring and then it all set in. I was in a fight for my life. I finally noticed the blood stains on the mat and horrid smell that could only be the dead beneath ring we stood on. As if it was some kind of pedestal."
Then, Adam placed the ointment on her wound cause it to sting. Which was the actual reason he put the cloth in her mouth to have something to bite on instead of her lip. "Cutting to it. That was the first time I ever killed someone. At the age of 5 because I had no choice. Over and over at least once a month I had to go back and do the same thing and eventually I felt nothing. On the outside. I held every emotion I had in and didn't want to show weakness to anyone. I didn't let anyone in because eventually I thought I would meet them in the ring. And had to do what became my BEST skill. To kill." he clarified.
"Until I met someone who became my best friend. Just came outta nowhere and talked to me after my match. I'm 15 and soaked in anothers blood by the way. He sat next me and spoke, 'You don't have to run and hurt by yourself. Talking about what's going on in your head helps. Making friends helps.' he said. Just some random guy who's never met me came and said that to me. So, naturally, I said nothing to him. He sat there for a minute and walked away with a smile. Before I knew it, after a long time, I was crying. I looked to the ground in the same spot after I murdered someone and cried. Every match I had he would say that or something to that effect." Adam said wrapping the bandages on her wound.
"Finally, he broke through through my wall and I told him everything I ever felt. Every raw emotion and lack there of. Told him my story and a weight was lifted off my shoulders like you wouldn't believe. Because of him I realized I didn't need to kill anymore. I won my freedom outta the hellhole by just putting people in the hospital and ended their fighting careers. I began to twist it into some perverted form of mercy to them. But the heads of the PlayPen were satisfied and eventually let me go." he said exhaling. "I got a bit off topic there, but I'll swing to the point. He approached me, my best friend, because he saw the pain and sadness in my eyes when everyone just saw a killing machine. So what I'm saying to you is that I see you're hurt and you don't want to be weak. But keeping all that pain in you and killing yourself with it and not trusting anyone to bear that burden with you is another form of weakness. So, this is my offer. You ever need a shoulder to cry on or someone to vent to or share a burden I'm here." he said finishing the bandage. He then took the cloth outta her mouth and placed his shoulder on her hand. "That'll be between me and you." he smiled and he spoke softly. Before he stood he wiped the blood from around her mouth where she bit through her own skin and then walked off towards Scylla seeing that Onyxia was talking to her he figured he should do the same.

Before Scylla could take step further Adam lightly grabbed her shoulder. "You were wrong, Scylla. Actin' in emotion is understandable. But you didn't even consider the damage you're doing. You could've split our eardrums making it harder for us to hear oncoming attacks. Rather you can or not the rest of us would be at a disadvantage. That's number one. Number two: Any form of surprise has been destroyed because of your voice. You don't care about stealth, but you didn't consider the rest of the team. Number three..." he said taking a breath and calming himself. With her semblance she should hear how rapid his heartbeat was from keeping his boiling emotions. "You hurt one of us extremely bad. She can barely even stand up on her own. Our fighting power has been reduced because you didn't assess the situation and we're at a disadvantage. There's other things we could have done aside from you destroying the beam causing more harm than good. We could've had Cecil freeze the area around her wound numbing it before attempting removal or destruction of the beam. Even if it would have given Ridley more comfort. at the very least and prevent massive bleeding." he spoke calmly. "I'm not going to ask you to step down as leader because you can learn from this. Go back there and apologize to everyone because the synergy of the group is off. Not only that" he walked in front of her blocking her path from progressing forward. "going forward on your own is the stupidest thing you can do. I won't let you waste what little, or if any, chance we have. Plus, there could be more traps. If you are so far ahead of us while looking after the members that are injured and you get into any trouble how will we help you?" he asked. "Turn around and make it right!" Adam asserted in his default stoic tone. "Man, speakin' properly takes alot outta ya boy." he thought.

She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Everything was moving very quickly around her. She was there, concious of what was happening, but it was almost like she was watching a dream on replay. She felt drained, both of energy and Aura. She could hear people speaking, but the words didn't quite process in her brain. Her torso was on fore. Turning her blood to lava through her veins. Yet, all she could think of was her team and Cecil. She needed to make sure they were okay. She needed to help them. Yet she vouldn't quite walk on her own. Lucky for Scylla, as under normal circumstances Ridley might just have lost her temper and used her semblence on the girl. See how she likes having her eardrums burst. However, her aura was struggling enough to attempt at healing the puncture wound on her torso, she wasn't sure she could handle such a thing as that at the moment. Even if a part of her really wanted too. Even if a part of her thought she deserved it. Ridley could understand getting angry. She could understand being completely lost to emotion. She'd been there before. However, she'd like to think she had enough sense about her to avoid throwing a full on tempertamtrum in a situation like this. Causing more damage to your teammates, then running off like a child. Sure, she was a couple of years younger then them, but if she's old enough to get into Beacon, she should be old enough to keep her wits about her. At the very least to take her anger out on her enemies and not her allies.
There, but not fully aware, the first thing that cut through the haze of her brain was the sound of Cecil's voice. A wave of relieve washed over her as she knew it meant he was okay. At least well enough to speak. However, his words, just like everyone else's, was being heard but not quite processed. She heard Azura call out and could interpret the urgency in her voice, but her mind was too frazzled to focus on the words. It felt like her entire world was spinning around her, fingers trembling and knees buckling beneath her. Her golden eyes were shining brilliantly in the darkness, the wetness reflecting even the dim light if the flashlight, but still she refused to blink, refused to let the tears fall. Not here. Not in front of everyone. Not in front of her team. And least of all, not in front if Scylla.
It wasn't until Adam spoke that she really was able to pull herself out of the haze. His voice was closer easier to focus on. His arm was still around her waist, keeping her pressed close to him and by doing so, keeping her on her feet. The girl was stubborn and prideful. She hated not being able to be independent or do things for herself. She might have refused his help if she thought for even a moment she could stand on her own. Instead, she opted for humor. It seemed to be her go to, even in the most dire of circumstances. "You know, normally I don't get so touchy feely on the first date... I'm making a special exception for you." She teased, that playful and sarcastic tone painting over the strain of her voice. She smirked at him, though in her pain it was mire of a grimace. The comment was followed by a soft laugh, though after a moment she sputtered and coughed before groaning softly ay the pain that exploded within her chest. She went silent after that, simply giving a short not as he lead her over to the wall and warned her that this was going to hurt a bit. Clenching her teeth tightly together, fists clenched into tiny, white-knuckled balls, she did as she was told. Keeping her legs straight and letting Adam do most of the work, together they slid down the wall. Her vision blurred for a moment, the immensity of the pain hitting her with a wave of nausea. Letting her head fall back and rest against the cold cave wall, she let her eyes slip shut while he disappeared to fetch the bag.
Her eyes remained shut until she heard his voice beside her once more, apologizing. She blinked her eyes open, peering at him slightly confused. It was explained just moments later, both through this actions and words. She blinked once as he tore the fabric around the puncture. With her torso now partially exposed, he would reveal what appeared to be thick, raised, and jagged scars that ran diagonally across her torso, disappearing on either side of the fabric. It was something she always tried to keep hidden, as explaining them would mean delving into a whole mess of memories she'd much rather keep hidden and ignored. Seeing as there wasn't much of an option right now, she acted as if nothing were abnormal about it and addressed his comment about his leader as well. "You don't have to apologize for her actions. It was out of your control... out of anyone's control really." He fell silent as he began dabbing away at the blood around her would. The puncture itself wasn't particularly wide, but it was extremely deep, that and the opening of the wound was torn, stretched, and jagged. The nail had been pressed deeper by Scylla breaking the beam as well as opening the would wider and tearing more skin by it beaming thrust into her multiple times. As he cleared the blood away from the initial wound, he would notice there were also two others, from the beam coming up and then hit and pressed back down again. Neither of these were nearly as deep. There was also a bit of dark discoloration across her pale skin, the start of some immense bruising where the beam had hit her.
When he spoke to her again, he had lowered his voice enough that only she would be able to hear him. This struck her curiosity and she focused her golden gaze on his face, watching him as he focused on her injury. As he delved into his story, she was relieved to have something else to focus on, something other than the hands poking and prodding at her torso. It didn't take her long to realize that this wasn't just some bedtime story to get her mind of of things, but something much deeper and much more personal. A piece of her life. When he paused, handing her a piece of fabric to put between her teeth, she opened her mouth and clamped back down on the fabric.in a shocked daze. Ridley was completely enthralled by his story, and touched by the fact that he would think to share something like this with her. His pain, his fear, a lesson. It was almost enough to distract her from the stinging of the antiseptic and the dull throbbing that followed. Almost. A small hiss of air escaped clenched her teeth, wincing, however she otherwise remained both still and silent.
The message of his story struck a chord with Ridley. How long had she been keeping her own emotions and memories locked up deep inside of her. It wasn't something she had ever spoken of with anyone. Not even her uncle. He'd arrived on the seen early enough to piece together the pieces. He'd never asked and she had never shared. The talked about other things, even emotional personal things, but that night was one she kept locked up very tightly. They had lived on in a mutual silence for years, too hard for either of them to mention it. Adam had a point, it had scared her both physically and mentally, but keeping it to herself was a weight all it's own. She wasn't any less reluctant to share, but a part of her felt as if she owed that much to the guy. After everything he'd done for her and what he had just shared, a bit of honesty was the least she could do. However, as he neared the end of his story, just as he was finishing up her bandages, she knew that was a story that would have to wait for another day. They had other things to take care of at the moment.
"I won't tell a soul. You have my word." She promised. While her voice was still strained, it seemed stronger now. The trembling had left her hands and while she knew it would be excruciating, she was fairly confident she could walk on her own now if need be. "And thank you. For the help and the story. I might just take you up on that off, but I think my story is more of second date kind of material." She teased, referring back on her previous joke as she sent a playful wink his way. His hand rested on her shoulder for a moment before he reached up to wipe the blood from her mouth. A small smile tugged at her lips as she watched him walk away, likely going after Scylla. Looking towards Cecil, she noticed his hand outreached for Azura, looking for help to his feet. That was something at least. A part of he wanted to ask how he was doing, but she could guess. She'd been hit with the beam as well,, but she hadn't been injured at the time. Poor Cecil had it double. "I promise I'll by you ice cream after this... or a shake, or whatever you want really."She offered instead. It was small, but it gave them something to look forward to after they made it out of this mess. "You too, Azura. I don't know what we would have done without you." With that, Ridley clenched her teeth once more, using the cave wall to help push herself back to her feet. The pain was nauseating, caused her head to spin for a moment, but she couldn't just stay on the ground. They needed to keep moving if they had any hopes of getting out of here.
