The bandit seemed to be sturdier than most had given him credit for. Jimmy's eyes would squint a bit as the team of the others were scattered and began their assault. His hand gripped his sword tightly as he watched the coordinated attacks fly at the giant and his body moved around. It seemed that he would be too focused on the others. His body would jump back and then forth as he rushed to hack his blade in a powerful spin like technique to the back of the man's leg. Remembering that mobility, no matter how slow, is a strong point. Jimmy would eye the opponent as he gave his child like grin. "Shucks big guy, don't forget lil ol' me." He'd his accent showing through the trash talk the young man had as he would attempt another attack at his back afterwards. Saving Lunia from the first strike was the best he could do after the movement of the girl and her team through this, but taking this big one down would prove to be the truest challenge on this battlefield.
Never close your eyes. . . Keep your senses heightened. . . Never close your eyes. . . Keep listening . . . Keep gathering. . . Never close your eyes. . . In battle, you need to remain clear and calm. . .
And she was. Lunestra Krayeth was clear and calm, her breath steady now, at this point. Words that came from a certain someone, from certain days of training, circled within her mind -- the only thoughts that circuitously invigorated her to continue in this fight. Her team was trying so hard; every single one of her classmates down below was trying to better themselves down below, and wished to save one of their classmates from the clutches of these churlish, cheeky ingrates.
But she didn't let anger fuel her -- she didn't let her mind get clouded. She kept her eyes opened, she kept her mind clear, and she kept on listening, gleaning the battlefield. . . Which is why she managed to notice when one of the bandits that sought to injure Tessa and Jessica punted the flashbang grenade back at her. Almost as if on cue, almost mechanically, almost as if half-expecting her, Lunestra allowed the fan form of Glyphon materialize a green glyph, and she promptly pinged it back towards the bandit with the club.
And it erupted.
The recoil did harm Lunestra in some way, but her aura allowed her to gather her senses immediately, and she didn't really sustain any damage. No, flashbang grenades seldom caused any direct damage -- they were only precursors to a harsh beatdown. At first, she could only hear a high beeping sound for a total of two seconds, but glyphs appeared at her ears and they were soon healed. Then again, if that flashbang would have hit her she would've likely collapsed. . . But she was stronger than this. She kept her eyes opened through it all, she kept her mind clear, she kept gathering and gleaning.
The flashbang grenade most likely harmed the bandit which ponged it towards her and perhaps anyone else in his general vicinity. Unfortunately, there was no way Lunestra would have been able to account for her own safety and the others of her classmates, if they were within range when she swatted the flashbang grenade back at him. After all, it was rather mechanical, and rather on cue. But even so, she remained ready, her nose flared, her dour replaced with stolid determination.
She looked so much like Aurtrox Krayeth, headmaster of Beacon Academy and one of the highest ranking hunters in the world. . .

Narx was about to be swarmed by enemies, but the flying girl who was related to the headmaster saved him with a flashbang. It gave him just enough time to attempt to flee his stupid mistake. "Thanks duck-girl!"He shouted just as he felt his back get sliced.He toppled over with the force of the blow."That's what I get when I show mercy to a ruthless, bloody, murderer!"Narx knew one thing, learn from your mistakes. He turned around with vengeful eyes and lifted his hammer high in the air. His devilish gaze would be the last thing this bandit ever saw. He slammed his hammer down with as much force as he could muster. Crushing his chest cavity beyond repair. He felt the adrenaline fade soon after and collapsed to a sitting position. What had he just done. He had killed this man. That is what he just did. He stared at the body with blood seeping out in pools that ran into the gutter. Fires blazed, explosions went off around him, but he just sat there staring at the body. It seemed so strange, yet so familiar. What was the odd feeling. It was like there was some memory that he couldn't access. He didn't know if he should feel horror or delight. What he did was right, but his emotions made no sense. Narx sat there in the midst of the fight for a moment too long as he found himself soon completely surrounded by the bandits. Would he die here?

Charlotte blinked and turned her head as Lunia shouted charlotte. Her attention snapping to the bandit that was right by her though the ‘quiet’ shotgun blast from Jazz along with instructions to call for help if needed. Though in her mind she noted that Jazz and this new human along with oswald all went to help their fellow human who, not so long ago Charlotte was sure was being offered as food. Or was it food being ordered.. Or even team leader? Charlotte no longer knew. All she knew was she was now hungry.
Softly Charlotte let out a sigh as she hit the quick close button on the umbrella letting it snap back into its ‘stick’ form. Activating her semblance a faint purple aura manifested around her body. During the start of the faint glow she dropped her tail down. Knowing the Bandit had already launched a attack. At least any sane person would of launched one wither for charlotte's back or tail when coming from behind. She spun around on the spot utilising the balls of her feet to quickly shift her stance. Of course this made her tail swing wide and the aura glow somewhat brighter around the stinger itself. She was stealing the kinetic energy created by her own ‘limb’ swinging a rather long distance quickly. And she redirected it towards increasing her speed with a quick jab of her umbrella towards the bandits chest. She may or may not have been aiming for the bandits heart. She was somewhat ignoring the two daggers the bandit had as she did outrange them But they would most likely hit her arm. Something fixable.. Thats if her aura didn't take the brunt of the damage anyway.
During her stabbing motion Charlotte would tap the switch to stick out the bayonet on the top of the umbrella and if contact with the opponents skin was made. Pull the trigger of the rifle that was also situated on the handle as well. This would of course damage the bayonet… If not just accidentally making the bayonet itself into a projectile along side the gunshot. This of course was a lot of energy hitting one very small point. Both the energy of the actual stabbing motion, Her tail. And then a gunshot. Even charlotte didnt know if it had hit at first but she fell back into a defensive position using her umbrella as a guard. Her semblance dissipating as she had no use for it right this second though she of course kept up her aura shield. They were in a fight after all.

Danaë Felt him turning around as she stabbed him in the back. She let go of one of the blades, but as she was doing that, the blade that was aimed at her chest. It collided with it, right as her semblance went down. She almost felt out of breathe. She hated to be up and fighting. She was the sneaker. She got in the surprise attacks damn it!Her hand was still on one of the blades, she knew what would happen since they were curved with sharp bits in them. She would try to twist the blade in his back, while trying to stab him in the front with the other. She felt herself slowing down. She hated it.

Ivory would wince under his mask. He even let out a small gasp. He hadn't expected the man to actually take the hit. It shook his pelvis, including..sensitive bits. He let the man wrap up his hand, knowing that he needed time to breathe.
Ivory wasn't quite ready when he was being egged on. He pulled one of the pistols off of his Longsword. He rested his sword against his hip, he then aimed an Aura blast towards him. Man did his sensitive bits hurt.
The group were within a small distance from eachother on the 'battlefield', all that could be heard was a shout from a bandit "FLASH!". The bandit warned everyone of the flash grenade about to go off, and it was going to effect every single person in the area, there was no time for anyone to respond or even think about their response as the grenade activated in the middle of the area. Shrieks could be heard, the effects of this flash were devastating for everyone, friend or foe. The bandit at the centre of it all lay lifeless on the ground, everything in his head was shattered by Lunestras deflection.

The streets of vale were as cold as ice. By the time the students arrived it was nearly morning, but still too early for any citizens to be up and about. The area assigned to this group consisted of an industrial storage area, a city park, and a small neighborhood. The group was too inspect the area as thoroughly as possible for any signs of the missing persons or the possible perpetrators.
╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════▨✥▨═══════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Jessicas opponent avoided her shot, he brought his sword up and back down on her arm and realised her skin had turned to what felt like stone. The flashbang went off and the bandit was incapacitated by it, swaying from side to side he winced in pain. However, with Jessicas strength and defense being heightened an obvious weakness was dexterity - the bandit would be aware of this. The Bandit's had previously set up an explosive trap under the ground, which he set off right under Jessica's feet, she would either have to remove her semblance or fall with the ground that now fell from underneath.
Team LOJC and Jimmy's opponent was also in the ground, writhing in pain from both shock and trying to get over it as quick as possible. He seemed to be really affected by it, maybe due to his size?
The bandit Danae aimed for was hit by her stab, he lay on the ground in such pain as he couldn't see or hear anything - he didn't want to remove the blade from his front in the case it would make it worse.
Ivories aura blast knocked fee bandit backwards just as the flash grenade erupted, he lay on the ground but got back up again swaying from side to side as he tried to regain clarity with his vision and sight. "I'm ready" he said, when he really wasn't, he just wanted to appear stronger.
The bandit aimed her swords for Charlotte, she was caught by the flashbang and jumped for her - bad move. The bandit was hit right in stomach with the umbrella and at first didn't think much had happened, the bayonet became the projectile and stuck itself to the bandit, not coming back out. She fell to the ground and jerked a few times, having taken a huge brunt of the flash grenade and from Charlotte's attack. ╚═══════════════════════════════════════════════▨✥▨═══════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Flashbang grenades were luckily not lethal unless they made direct impact with something. Quick thinking was truly the only thing that could save anyone from its harsh force. Unfortunately, sometimes quick thinking wasn't enough. Battle was a mess -- an odious, yet necessary mess. Not everything could be accounted for; not everything could be salvaged, and not everything could go according to plan. This much was true. But the certain truth was that they needed to win. And Lunestra didn't feel like losing.
The feedback from the flashbang was sizable enough. Her reflection was mostly on instinct, but she expected some damage from it all. Lunestra was shot from the sky by the force of the bang and she collided with concrete, her aura flickering for a moment -- but luckily not shattering. Unfortunately, her entire body was dithering with anticipation of the next hit, or for wishing to become better. She needed to ameliorate this sensation quickly. Everything was so deafening at the momen t-- all she could hear is a high pitched beep, and she wouldn't be surprised if her ears were bleeding.
But if she had taken that grenade head on, she would be dead; she would be useless, and the grenade would have proceeded to do the same thing. And then a certain headmaster would show no quarter to anyone on the field. It was imperative to avoid that, certainly.
She staggered as she tried to rise -- she had to try various times. She was highly vulnerable at the moment, likely much like everyone else. The earsplitting beep within her ears refused to go away, and she winced every time she made any facial expressions. Her vision was blurry, but she had some sort of grasp of the situation. Her breath was tattered and her clothing moreso. Luckily, her wings were uninjured. . . She hoped. Taking a dry gulp, she allowed a glyph to materialize in her palm, and settled it to her temples and ears in a slow, simultaneous shift.
She needed to heal. She needed to hear. She turned around slowly -- and almost fell over quite a few times. She was such an easy target right now and she hated it, but this was the consequence of deflecting that grenade. Again, she had no business being dead, even if her form is very groggy. Furrowing her brow, she set her gaze on the lifeless body at the center of the prior explosion.
"It couldn't be helped, I suppose. . ." She uttered, although she could only hear parts of what she said. Hopefully she'll be able to heal her hears soon enough. . . The glyphs were at work, and she continued to pump them with Aura, gradually and slowly. . . And afterwards, she had to heal as many of the others as possible.

It wouldn't take an instant for Jessica to be free from her semblance. Feeling the ground give out from underneath her. Falling like a rock down the hole she laid under a small layer of rubble. When her semblance finally released her she sat up, discovering her ankle was stuck. Looking at the edge she reloaded her weapon, quickly. <******** hell..." Cursing a little to her self as she tried move her trapped leg. She looked up, aiming her weapon, ready to fire as soon as she saw a bandit. "Mother ******** going to die."
Oswald heard 'FLASH', he was caught off guard and was blinded for a second. "F**K!!!" while he was blinded Oswald walked a bit back and had his arms forward in a classic boxing guard, just until he was able to see.

Danaë could still feel that she had a blade in his back. She would now rip it out, Nightkiss came out, Releasing a gush of blood with it. Her hand was also still on Hatred's Bite. She would twist it, and then pull it out of the man. She would be back to collect his weapons, however, in her blindness, she would start moving south west of where she was. Her heels would make almost no noise as she went through, however, she thought that if her hearing was bad right now, then no one would really be able to hear or see.
Lunia picked herself up after being hit right in the gut, she landed just infront of her teammates. A dribble of blood came from her mouth as she wiped it away, she turned around to see Jazz and smiled, however this was cut short.
"FLASH!"
Before she knew it, she was back onto her knees again. Everything in her body caused her pain, her head pounded like never before as she tried to rub her eyes to get her vision back, which didn't work. If there was one sense Lunia would never want to lose, it was her sight - a world of darkness was no world to Lunia. She could hear the groans from others around her, and mustered up the strength to get back onto her feet. "Jazz, anyone... are you there?!" she said, her breathing becoming more rapid as her sight and hearing was still too blurry to see anything.
Lunia could hear the bandit on the ground in pain, and was just glad she wasn't going to be ambushed... again. How could she let this happen to her team? She had read about flash grenades before however never expected it to feel like this.
Through the pain she tried to remember what she had read about in books, "The worst of it should go in about 20 seconds! Just try to focus everyone!" she said, closing her eyes and counting to 20. She felt the floor around her, and concentrated to make sure her aura would withstand a hit should she take one.
Feeling one of her blades close to her feet she bent down slowly and collected it, stumbling a little in the process. "How is everyone?!" she shouted. If there was a strength that Lunia showed throughout this mess, she always cared for her teammates and friends, making sure they were ok was her priority... a trait she had got from her brother... and a trait that resulted in his end.
Blind, deaf and disoriented. None of these three things were at all good for someone as big and blatant a target as Tessa was, and the realization she was a sitting duck caused her to panic. The giant faunus stumbled around, a hand over her face as she growled and shrieked into her palm incoherently until she suddenly stopped , placed both hands on the sides of her head, then let out a deafening bellow as she raised her leg, knee to chest, and stomped as hard as she could.
The impact of the stomp alone wasn't particularly worrysome, though anyone near her would certainly feel the vibration from it..then a tremor from the ground that grew in magnitude until it would be difficult to stand. There was a loud rumble and several deafening popping noises just before Tessa stomped again, and an entire section of the street, including parts of buildings, caved downward into a sinkhole filled with debris from the road, sidewalk, and structures around. Tessa kneeled at the bottom of the pit, 10 meters outward from the radius in any direction, and 10 meters down at the lowest point forming a rough bowl shape around the faunus.

Lunestra exhaled. . . She was no longer woozy and she no longer felt like throwing up her entire stomach. Her ears were popping but mended nicely, and she could finally hear. The worst was over, and although parts of her sight were somewhat spotty, she could finally see again. She turned her head and looked once more at the lifeless body of the person she had just killed -- even if unintentionally. Flashes from the past that she didn't readily recognize invaded her thoughts for a few moments -- her mother, the central player. Furrowing her brow, she turned her head back to assess the situation with a higher breadth of perspicacity.
What has been done can't be undone. . . This is the role we signed up for. . . This thought practically vessicated her skin with harsh lacerations, but in the most metaphorical way possible. Shaking her head clear, the splotches of iridescent light still annoyed her sight, but they were disappearing, little by little. For once, it seemed like they had the advantage, and even if it took a bit, she was feeling better. Better enough to fly, at least.
And boy did she need to.
The tremor wasn't registered at first, but when the ground began to crackle and thunder with a strident shock throughout a whole ten meters, her harried countenance suddenly shot to the silhouetted figure of Tessa stomping on the ground twice, and suddenly sunken into a faunus-made whole. Lunestra caught her breath as she tried to stay afoot, but it was difficult to keep her equilibrium when she was still recovering from the mess she inadvertently created.
Fortunately, she gathered herself and rose upwards, her wings spreading and beating slowly against the air. She spectate for a few moments and noted a separate hole. . . And the noted that Jessica was no where in sight.
"Jessica." She breathed and then rushed towards the crater, diving into it with less grace than usual, and landing before her armored teammate. She almost toppled over onto her behind, but she managed to gain her steadiness anew. "Are you alright? Do you need healing?" She regarded with urgency, rushing towards Jessica's trapped ankle and began to remove the rubble.
