Dear god, they were talking about life goals like they were in first grade giving a book report.

"You can't have kids." He reminded her.

"Joy, what are some horrible thoughts you've had about your friends you kept to yourself?"

Ridiculous questions, huh? Melvin stared as Kade as he thought. Sex seemed a easy question for him so he disnissed those for now.

"What are you most insecure about?"

"My mom was the best too," Joy gave Dawnson a grateful smile. But it twisted to rueful, a hand briefly brushing against her belly at the reminder, "Yeah. I know about my matres now only being good for monster babies that'd sooner kill me than a manananggal would eat it. But Clyde's question had been an if I ain't in this life, diba?"

Melvin's question gave Joy pause, oh she'd had horrible thoughts of her friends. "I used to know this guy. He was a good friend but he made a s**t boyfriend. I covered for him once on his then girlfriend while he ******** about with another girl. I wished he would catch a really bad std where his d**k eventually falls off. Preferably while he was ******** his number two and leaving it in the filthy dumb slut."

"Then do you have any fears and doubts about dating and relationships?" He followed after.

"Who do you want to trade places with if you could live their life instead of yours?"

"Would you kill someone if you were never caught and it benefitted you?" He asked. If he thought he was like his dad and pulled out that question, Melvin woukd return it. Mik had asked it meaning he thought Melvin was the type all along.

"Would you be upset is Ross dated someone and had a personal life that didn't include you and would mean all his time wasn't dedicated to you?" He asked.


[Rosswell AMA]

"Would you date or screw anyone or be celibate?" He had to wonder.

"I'm sure she was." he just expected her to prefer something more athletic for herself. "I just thought you know, you wouldn't be able to sit at home. but I suppose teaching your kids, in theory would be like doing the cool things you do too." he didn't get it but he'd let her have it.

Clyde flinched away from Joy's response to Melvin's question. Not that he had cheated but he had confused people before. There were reasons he stated up front before sex that he was open relationship only. The concept confused a lot of people.

Yeah no relationship with Joy ever. Bad idea. Very bad idea. Who knows, she might find a way to make that a reality. Clyde might have scooted a little away from her.

There was a black hair asian watching as the question-and-answer game escalated with some people's intentional grilling. Most people don't recognize her face, neither the blue eyes nor her black-as-ink hair. She was small compared to others but she was definitely an adult.

Sometimes she giggled at people's weird question, sometimes she intensely stared at them with her blue eyes whereas sometimes she wasn't paying attention at all. Most of the time she had spent on Lucky, wondering and observing his new look. Even she can't find then anymore, at least she could look at him on behalf of the sweetest woman?

In a happenstance, she got the ring and slid into her finger.

Yep. That was a ridiculous question and now he felt the compelling nature of the artifact pulling at the hidden parts of him. Parts that Kade didn't even really acknowledge, let alone want to admit to anyone.

Groaning with the effort of holding the words in he let them out in a burst of air that was damn near painful. "That I might actually be worthless. Useless. Good for nothing. Able to only lose and waste away rather than live a good life."

His head dipped down, looked at the ring, and he sighed. "Not as fun as I thought, is it?"
