Sherry mulled it over. This precious can of body spray seemed to be a very nice repellent against the small critters swarming the shore here. So, Sherry did the best thing she could think of. She sprayed herself again, just in case. (It really wasn't bad - just a bit strong at first, but so was any body spray, right?)
Then she looked around. Yes, she'd use this gift to help others. Jason was first. "Here, this will keep the crabs away!" She sprayed him down liberally.
Then a girl in a death coat. Kammy, followed by a guy she didn't know, Terry.
And another girl, Kim. There was another, so Sherry sprayed her, too. It was Alicia.
Her attention was drawn by a flash of green, so Sherry sprayed Ember, too.
Then someone who reminded her a lot of Lucky. Kostya was sprayed down next.
Sherry paused after that. You know, so she could make sure Mark was okay.

It was really hard to miss that squid. Sam, who had been bracing herself for a run from building to building, had had the naive hope that maybe she could make it without worrying about a fight if she was fast enough. Alas, tentacles lied in her future.
But also a half-used tin of runic bandages as well, apparently. She tried not to think about why it wasn't wholly use.
The kraken obviously didn't like what Alicia was doing and took a swipe at the Sun trainee with the same tentacle she had aimed at. Rolling to the side but not quite before the tentacle struck the side of her arm, Alicia aimed another shot at it again as she wrinkled her nose and sneezed a few times at the body spray that a passing female hunter (Sherry) had sprayed her down with.
Whatever was that for... weren't they in the middle of a battle here?

It seemed many had overlooked it at else, when she casually stared at the crowd in chaos, she thought. She took a glance at the hovering hunter she knew and another Death Assitant but it was the heavy rain that annoyed her the most. On the funeral of sisters, it was raining heavily like that. Nora was fresh from getting her new coat and eager to get started flexing the new wardrobe. And--oh look! Something eager to get bashed. The convenience had Nora laughing as she charged in, hammer crackling with electricity.
The Sahara was a b***h, of course, but this? A Tuesday, really, in comparison. At least this one didn't have her getting sunburnt--which still hurt, thanks--or worrying about bugs crawling under her skin.

With some amazing footwork she didn't know she had (or more likely she tripped and rolled on the sand), Kammy managed to evade being obliterated.

She was startling to ramble on, trying to explain to Sam just why her jargon made sense, when Sherry came and sprayed her with some...thing. She didn't know what it was but it smelt...weird.
"...Dunno how I feel about this buff, but thanks!" She called out, whacking the boss with the edge of her bow ( because that was totally what it was made for right )

"Damn it," she hissed, feeling the old aches bother her from the movement. She had been much luckier than most, but it still hurt. "Anyway, that's exactly what you're using: jargon. Specialized game terms, if you would."

Brittney was piiiiiissed at this whole situation. First it was that ******** shitty-a** desert with all the creepy crawlies, now it was some giant thing from the deep that was obvious the b*****d lovechild of the sea and Hollywood. It packed a punch though, which only made Brittney even more pissed that she couldn't so much as lay a ******** nail on it.
What she could do, however, was make sure those tentacles stayed the hell away from Nora. And her in her bamf new coat!

"Yeah, uh, thanks," Harrison said as Robert handed him garbage that he had gotten from Mark's pockets.
He turned it over suspiciously. It had runes on it. It wasn't a computer. It looked rickety and barely put together. As he fiddled with it, it clicked and made a worrying humming noise.
"Sh-s**t," Harrison said, because he had fought alongside Mark at least once and enough to know exactly what kind of devices Mark kept riddled all over his person.
"EVERYBODY STAND BACK," Harrison warned, hitching B0nez to his belt getting rid of it as quickly as possible with a pitch worthy of the minor leagues, right into the abyss of tentacles before it exploded, raining tentacles down on everyone nearby.
Soaked to the bone, Melvin got a bit closer and fired again, glad that it was big enough to hit. Also glad that having a weapon meant he was't gonna get a cold after all of this.

And perhaps because of that frustration, her next swing seemed to connect even less. She was thoroughly drenched by the rain at this point, trying to brush her wet hair out of her eyes.
