Colin Hargrove | CROWD!Colin simply nodded at Chris' thanks - it was fairly obvious and sensible to him that neither he nor Paris would be able to do much of anything until their home rituals were settled and in place properly after their third addition. Plus, he was gratified that his exuberant hug had been fairly well received - after all, this was the first time they were properly meeting and well, Quenton had informed him many times that 'not everyone' enjoyed a limpet hanging off them. He called out to the teams, both, cheering wildly at masterful pitching and batting (even when it wasn't quite so, because everyone deserved support, right?). But he did notice his new good friend's discomfiture, the rub over his breastbone like it pained him. Concern knit well kept brows together, "Are you alright? Do you need some water or something?" Pasi Järvinen | CROWD"You'd be amazed how well he gets his point across without words." Yuuri obviously didn't know that the giant ginger tom and his friend could speak and Pasi wasn't about to divulge such sensitive knowledge. At his words, the striped tom in his lap's ears flicked back and forth and it's tail started curling in a manner he could only assume was amused. Reaching past Tiberius' bulk, the Finn fished out a can of Coors and offered it while eyeing the remaining chicken. Whether he wanted it or not, the expression on Bob's face spoke volumes, as if the pitiful meow and reaching paw weren't enough. "Best give it to the cats, but thanks." In his lap, Tiberius turned to blink owlishly at Yuuri, "His name is Tiberius." Tiberius | CROWDGood man. Smart. Give it to the cats, indeed. Tiberius oozed out of Pasi's lap to sit next to Yuuri and Bob, tail tucked around his feet as he stared up at the young man and his chicken. "Meeeeoooooooow." Give one to me and one to Bob, or I'll find you and hairball in your shoes. He waited, patiently but with one massive, fluffy paw lifted ever so slightly like he might reach out and tap Yuuri to remind him of where some of that delicious chicken belonged.

Xander Jacobs / Team STUFFSBottom of the 2nd, 0 Outs, 0 Puffs VS. 0 StuffsNope! Baseball was still not his thing! If it wasn't swimming it seemed Xander was as fail as he'd ever been. Standing at third ... how did he even get here. He should probably talk to Quenton about being not third base. As far as Xander was concerned standing at third fretting and wrapped in doubt and a lack of ability to even remember the rules or anything was probably not helpful. He barely noticed the ball hit and rolling in his direction and so for him, it went pretty much ignored. His eyes and mind, just elsewhere in general. In the next few minutes though they reached their 3rd strike out and were headed back to the dugout and Xander was up to bat. He gave his cousin a nervous glance and steeled himself, headed out. He grip on the bat was all wrong, stance was terrible and it was probably painfully obvious that likely didn't play often or ever. It was a shock when he actually hit the ball and it was all over his face, that is until the moment it was caught and he found himself laughing. He shook his head turning to look at Pat, at least he hit it. Apparently his hand eye coordination had improved ... but that made sense ... given his 'line of work'. Fiction1119 Lolz he's out, no surprise there, the dice apparently keeping it very canon

Chris Gallo / CROWD
The discomfort he felt with the pain in his chest was so normal to him that he often didn’t realize that he looked like he was in pain until it was pointed out to him. It wasn’t as though he was purposefully trying to get attention for it, and if someone wanted to, they could easily ignore him. So when Colin looked at him with concern, Chris glanced up at him curiously for a moment, and then dropped his hand back into his lap. “Oh. No, I’m okay,” he smiled warmly, embarrassed that he Colin was concerned. “Doctors say there’s nothing wrong with me. I just get tired easily,” he explained, although realizing a little too late that he probably should have left out the part about doctors being involved. “I just need to not use a lot of energy. I get weird chest pains, but they say there’s nothing wrong with me,” he quickly tried to clarify. It wasn’t a lie. There was nothing wrong with him that anyone else could see. But not everyone else could get access to his starseed to see how it had a crack that was leaking energy. “Oh, it’s the next inning already. This game will be over in no time,” he said somewhat hopefully, both as a distraction and because he didn’t want to have to leave early.Yuuri Matsunaga / CROWD
“Thank you,” he said as he held up the carton of chicken so that the cats wouldn’t try and jump for it, reaching to take the beer from Pasi. It was a little awkward trying to juggle everything in his hands while also trying not to be knocked down by these giant cats. Sitting down, they seemed much larger, but that was probably because he was of average height and kind of scrawny, and these cats were fluffy and muscular and, well, larger than normal cats already. “Bob and Tiberius,” Yuuri repeated, a hint of amusement in his voice even if his expression remained somewhat anxious. “I didn’t realize you were friendly with cats, Pasi,” he said, setting the can of beer on the seat beside him, holding it in place as best he could as he dug his finger under the tab to pop it open, nearly tipping the can over in the process. Luckily it hadn’t spilled all over the place. “Alright, who wants this more?” he asked after taking a drink, setting the can down, and bringing the chicken back in front of him so he could tear off a small piece and hold it out above the cats. Which… again… wasn’t that high, because they were huge and could probably easily claw their way up his arm. Or just knock him down, which would be horrible. But hey, if he was going to give away his food he was going to entertain himself with potentially begging cats. “Do you want this piece, Bob? Or does Tiberius want this? No? I guess I could eat it,” he teased, his voice still quiet. Part of him wondered if he should say something else to Pasi. Was he expecting him to talk to him? Yuuri sure hoped not, because not only could he not think of what to say, he didn’t want to say anything to make him seem even more helpless than he was.

Quenton Marinus ⚾ Team STUFFS Bottom of the 2nd, 1 Outs, 0 Puffs VS. 1 StuffsWith handling all the little things that came up, Quenton had hardly gotten to speak to any of his teammates. Especially not the adorable mascot cat. Or any of the cats that were filling up the little events, wearing all the adorable, tiny hats. Being on deck, just outside the dugout and next to the backstop wasn't conducive to making chitchat or getting some pets in, either. He knew the good Doctor at bat, though, and caught his breath in hope when the bat connected. It didn't convert this time to a runner on base. Both teams were having a time of it just getting on base. Who could've guessed Fritz was such a good pitcher. His own turn up, Quenton took to the batters box. A cordial nod was paid to Fritz on the mound, fledgling as their friendship was the man would hopefully not go any more easy on Quenton than the rest of the Stuffs. I just have to hit it. Just hit, and get on base. Faster over, faster a chance to pet our mascot (Bellalunae). Watch the bat hit the ball. Where-ever the ball is. He didn't wait. Swung at the very first pitch. Watched the bat hit the ball, and no further watched it other than to run down to first and turn and ....there was no ball? Mr. Bailey at home motioned with one finger in the air in a circular motion and called out, " Keep going around, son. It went out the fence, but you still have to touch each of the bases for the run to count!" Well....that's a lot faster getting back to the dugout than any other outcome I was expecting.... Quenton trotted around to second, third, and then home. The Stuffs were on the board! Getting back to the dugout entrance he called in while taking a seat, "Let's keep the momentum going everyone!"

Garron Davidson ⚾ Team STUFFS Bottom of the 2nd, 1 Outs, 0 Puffs VS. 1 StuffsGarron clapped when the ball went sailing out, and felt a little less dour about his own time at bat. It wasn't going to be a three-up-three-down, at least. If he ended up striking out, or flying out, or just generally getting out. Batting didn't have to be fancy! Heck, that guy just up, Marinus, hardly seemed to know what he was even doing since the ump had had to tell him he'd hit a homer run. Garron at least had played baseball when he was in high school. He knew how the basics of bar-league went. And it served him well! Waiting for a few pitches until he found one he could put on the ground in the scramble-gap between the 1st and second basemen, and ran for all he was worth to be safe. A Runner on! One Out! Ming-Na Han ⚾ Team STUFFS Bottom of the 2nd, 1 Outs, 0 Puffs VS. 1 StuffsRunners on 1st and 2nd.. ..
Runner on first right after a homerun meant that this was the PERFECT to rattle the Puffs chains and unnerve them into giving up some more bases, some more runs. Ming-Na played on her university fast pitch team, so she knew what momentum and friendly joshing was all about. When she stepped into the right hand batter's box, she made sure to wink smarmily at the Puffs third baseman, who was both cute and in an important position that made flustering all the more important. Then it was through the pitches. With luck an nerves, she pulled a walk out of collecting the four balls and some strikes, without striking out. Runner on 1st, Runner on 2nd. She called from her place on first towards the backstop, "Come on, Farrell, we want a single! Just a little single! S-I-N-G-L-E, SINGLE SINGLE SINGLE!" Hopefully the rest of the team, or anyone in the stands, knew the rest of the cheer! .. ..

Izobel Beckett: (Team Puffs)
Bottom of the Second 1 out. Puffs 0 vs Stuffs 1 Well that wasn't have supposed to have happened. Izobel stood on second and watched as the ball hit by Quenton sailed way above her head and over the fence. Well, it looked like Team Stuffs had just scored the game's first point. With a resigned sigh Izobel toughened her stance and firmly planted herself to just stand in front of the bag that represented second base. She'd not allow anyone to get past second if she could help it. As Quenton rounded third and made his way to home plate Izobel glanced to her team's pitcher before assuming a "let's get in on" crouch. She'd to her best to defend second base from all possible intruders. Although that only lasted to the next pitch. Izobel watched as the ball was struck and moved to the right in an attempt to intercept the ball. It didn't quite work. Izobel found herself attempting to grab the ball as it rolled near her and ended up snagging nothing. Pursing her lips she ran to the ball just in time to see the runner make it safely to First base. A quiet "rats" escaped Izzy as she tossed the baseball back to Fritz.

Rayna Farrell: (Team Stuffs)
Bottom of the Second 1 out. Puffs 0 vs Stuffs 1 Well, this was interesting. It seemed that as soon as volunteers came in relief for missing players that the deadlock and dreaded zero-zero tie was officially broken. Rayna had been practicing swinging a bat as her teammates did pretty well on the batting. And now it seemed as if it were her time to shine. Hopefully she would do well by Team Stuffs. She had to wait for just the right pitch though. Rayna watched the pitcher carefully as she attempted to judge just what would be her pitch to swing at. Thinking too hard would be catastrophic though. Eventually pursing her lips together Rayna made the choice to swing at the following pitch. The reverberation that travelled through the bat into her hands shocked her for but a moment before she dropped the bat and run for all she was worth in the direction of first base. Getting beaten was not on her agenda and it was a great relief to hear the first base linesman declare her safe as she tagged up at first. This was real excitement now ... the bases were LOADED with only one out. tatterpixie Rob up to bat. Bases loaded, one out

Robin Attewood / Team STUFFSBottom of the 2nd, 1 Outs, 0 Puffs VS. 1 StuffsBases LOADED -- Robin strikes outThe pressure was on Robin now. The batters that had preceded him all had hit the ball and made it to base, so he was staring at a bases loaded situation. He had to get those Stuffs home. And the best way to do that, as far as he knew, was to hit a home run. He approached the plate and took a deep, calming breath, trying not to let the pitcher (Fritz) see that it might be getting to him a little. Scraping his feet in the dirt of the batter's box, he wiggled his butt and settled into position to swing. And swing he did, at everything Fritz threw at him. Unfortunately, he didn't hit any of it. "Yer OUT!" called Mr Bailey with some delight. Robin almost gave him the two-finger salute, but caught himself just in time -- that would have gotten him ejected for sure. Instead, he shrugged and quickly made his way back to the dugout. He really wanted a beer right now.

Bob | CROWD The Yuuri fellow thought he was a funny guy.
Chicken had been torn into a sliver, dangled above his and Tibs's head. The echoing who wants this more replayed in his long ears, followed by the idle, teasing threat of I guess I could eat it.
He had jokes. The kid had jokes.
Two orange paws moved up and pushed roughly against the dark haired boy's arm, as if to say you wanna try, kid?
Glancing over at Tibs, he gave the other cat a nod, then a low, "Mrrrrrow." as if talking to the other feline in a secret language. Which, knowing the two of them, it probably was.

John Jr Team STUFFS Bottom of the 2nd, 2 Outs, 0 Puffs VS. 2 Stuffsbases loadedAfter striking out in the first inning and much would-be-stoic pouting, John Jr took up bat the second time with a steely determination. He was the bat, he told himself, and he wasn't going to be cocky this time. That had given him bad karma. He was just going to focus on Fritz, and on the motion of his own arms, and everything was going to be fine... ... and it turned out he was right! A homerun would have been ideal with all of the bases loaded, but the walk was just fine. It meant one more runner coming home to them, and another point for the Stuffs. Being up by two lifted John Jr's mood enough that he jogged to first base and struck up a light conversation with Lucien.

Patrick O’Ryan ⚾ Team STUFFS Bottom of the 2nd, 1 Outs, 0 Puffs VS. 3 StuffsBases LOADED -- Pat Walked, Charlie's at batPat had been all prepared to have the last inning last a hell of a lot longer. They had bases loaded and it looked like they would get on the board first but apparently his cheering worked, that or it was just luck, but that third batter struck out sending the game into the bottom of the second. Xander stepped up and totally missed. He gave his cuz a pat on the back, ha Pat giving a pat, and offered him a bottle of water while the next batter stepped up to the plate. The bossman ( Quenton) was now batting and apparently lady luck just climbed into his bed since he hit a homer, putting Stuffs on the board one, zip. The next three batters quickly filled the bases with only one out. Hell they might just put more than just one point on the board this inning. Even with the score and the bases loaded and everything Pat could feel himself tensing up since the more batters that hit the ball the closer he came to his turn at bat. ********! He didn’t want to be the one to ruin their streak. When the next batter struck out he felt a flash of relief then even more guilt for the relief he had at knowing that just one more strike out and he was in the clear till the next inning. Apparently lady luck was just laughing at Pat because the next batter was walked which meant it was now Pat’s turn with two outs, bases loaded, and a horrible feeling he is going to whiff the ball. Could one die from a simple game of bar league baseball? How bad would it be if he just excused himself to run to the bathroom only to race for his car? Even as he was contemplating such a move Pat could have sworn he heard his dad’s gruff and disappointed sigh. It didn't matter that his old man was still in New York. Or that Pat was a grown man. The idea of making that look cross his father's face had the tall redhead stand straighter, his shoulders squaring. So what if he struck out. It wasn't like it was the end of the game. Besides they were still two runs ahead. He just needed to try his best. So he stepped up to the batting mound and before he even realized it the ump was shouting ‘Ball Four. Batter walks!’ before shooing Pat towards first base. Holy Crap! It wasn’t a homerun but it sure as hell wasn’t a strike out. He would take it. Once at first base he greeted the other player, “Hey.” Not much but still. Kaori_luv Xander is on deck... Sorry Cuz ^.^' Ivynian Figure you would like the internal comment for Quenton XD

Being on first base was a little weird, and probably a terrible idea given that he wasn't all that good at catching the ball. Sports were not his thing but he was trying. He'd wanted to come play for Cordy but he'd been hoping for maybe an outfield position or something. Anything less complicated. And everyone kept trying to talk to him. When the last batter up stopped on his base and greeted him he was tempted to roll his eyes. He managed not to and waved back slightly. "Hi."
