  Kaoru did everything he could to keep the tears back when Daichi said they were going to keep the puppy. "Thank you," he whispered, burying his face in the puppy's soft fur to hide his tears. She woke and licked his cheek. He sniffed and smiled at her as he followed Daichi and the attendant to the adoption booth. Daichi seemed to want him to fill out the paperwork so he carefully handed the sleepy puppy over. She settled in to go back to sleep, but something smelled off. She cocked her head to the side and took a deep breath, trying to figure out the scent. It was coming from the man holding her and she once more stood on her hind legs and placed her front paws on his chest. She looked at him for a second before burying her nose in his neck where his scent was the strongest. He smelled unhappy. She whined softly and snuggled in against his chest, her head on his shoulder, showing him her love the only way she knew how. Kaoru finished the paperwork and was given a bag for the papers, leash and harness since she wasn't moving from their arms any time soon. Kaoru turned to see the way the puppy had snuggled in and he smiled. His cheeks were hurting from smiling so much. "Yeah, we're ok to go. I put both of use as contacts and the attendant gave me his number. He said he was going to miss her." He stepped closer and stroked the puppy's back, but she didn't move from her place, though her tail wagged softly. "I think she's happy with her new parents!" The attendant laughed, shaking his head, "Good luck with your new daughter."Kaoru blushed bright red at that, but, somehow, his smile grew even wider, "I guess she is our daughter...does that make you her daddy?" He teased Daichi as they walked away. Their daughter seemed content where she was, so he didn't offer to take her back. He just carried the bag of her things. "They gave us a little food, some toys, and her blanket from home, but we should get more and some bowls for her. Don, that was the attendant, gave us a list of what we need to get. They are listed in order of importance." He pulled out the list and looked it over. "He also recommended we take her to puppy training classes. I-" he bit his lip, "If possible, do you think we could look for a time when we both can go? I don't-" he blushed and looked down, ashamed to admit he didn't have the confidence in himself to be solely responsible for training her. he knew he was going screw it up if he was. "I think you'll be better at it than me...if you don't have time, I promise I'll do the best I can. I'm just-" he shrugged a little, "I'm not sure I will do a very good job without you."They wandered through the crowd, many people stopping to coo at Daichi and the puppy. Kaoru slid closer to the man, not liking the attention that it brought to him as well, but feeling a little uncomfortable at all the women who were eyeing Daichi with interest. He finally slipped his arm into Daichi's, his hands curling around the older man's arm, but careful to not disturb the now sleeping puppy. She must really have been exhausted. He realized they hadn't come up with a name for her yet. "Daichi?" he asked, looking up and feeling a warmth in his stomach to see his husband and their new puppy snuggled together. "What do you want to call her?" He felt something cute would fit. Something like Imouto (little sister), Hana (flower), or Shojo (little girl), but he wanted Daichi to chose since he was the one who agreed to take her home and paid for her.

Daichi carefully took the sleeping puppy and stood off to the side. He watched the crowds waiting for Kaoru to finish with the paperwork. Maybe they should head back to the hotel for the night? With the puppy, they couldn’t go on any of the carnival rides, assuming Kaoru wanted to go on them… and the fireworks later might be startling for the puppy. Kaoru hadn’t seemed to be that excited about them when Daichi mentioned them before, so he probably wouldn’t mind. And if they left they could stop by the pet store and get the puppy some things. The cute puppy seemed like she couldn’t get comfortable. She whined softly and Daichi tried changing the way he was holding her, maybe her tail was pinched or something? Finally she settled down and Daichi smiled a bit, leaning his head to nuzzle her softly. Apparently the comfortable spot was his neck. He didn’t mind, and her warmth was comforting. Kaoru came over and explained he left both of their contact information on the adoption forms. He nodded softly. Kaoru petted the puppy and Daichi half expected him to take her, but he didn’t. Probably because she was asleep. They started to walk away when the attendant called out to them, wishing them luck. He called them parents and called the little ball of fur her daughter. Daichi gave the male a short nod before his attention when to Kaoru. “I guess… if you want me to be.” He said softly, trying not to get his hopes up. “That would make you her mommy.” He commented softly before the list was pulled out of the bag. Daichi glanced over Kaoru’s shoulder at the list. “There’s a pet store not too far from here. Should we leave a bit early today and stop by the store on the way back to the hotel?” he asked, leaving that up to Kaoru. “It’s not on the list but do you want to crate train her?” he asked. “At least until we are certain she’s potty trained and out of her teething phase? I hear it’s also helpful in travel, makes them feel more secure.”Kaoru mentioned puppy training classes and Daichi nodded in agreement. But he was a bit surprised Kaoru asked him to come along. He explained his concern and Daichi wanted to chuckle. He didn’t, in case it would hurt Kaoru’s feelings. He knew Kaoru was completely capable of training the puppy. But he nodded with a soft smile. “It would have to be weekends, or late evenings, but I’m sure we can find times that would with my work schedule.” He said. “However, I think you’ll do just fine training her on your own.” He said with a smile, placing a comforting hand on Kaoru’s shoulder for a moment before he lowered his hand again. Daichi hardly noticed the females and couples cooing over him and the puppy. And his stern external only added to the cuteness of the picture: tall, handsome, serious man with tiny, fluffy, adorable puppy… just too cute. If this was happening to Kaoru though… if Kaoru was holding the puppy and all the attention was on him, Daichi would probably get a bit jealous too. But that wasn’t the case, and Daichi was in his own world, his mind racing. It wasn’t until Kaoru looped his arm with his, and said his name, that Daichi returned to reality. “Hmmm?” He looked down at Kaoru, brows together for a moment, confused. But he didn’t mind the contact and pulled Kaoru in a bit more. ‘Call her?’ Oh a name! “Hmmm, I’m not sure, definitely something cute… but I think you should name her.” He said, tilting his head a bit to try and look at her face, but she was buried too close to his neck. Daichi looked at Kaoru. “What to you want to call her?” he asked. While they discussed names, they walked slowly. Subconsciously, Daichi lead them back to the front entrance of the fair. When Daichi realized, he realized he couldn’t remember if Kaoru said they should stay or go… “Do you want to run to the pet store tonight?” he asked again, more focused this time to remember his response. He was really distracted tonight.

Kaoru nodded a little, "We will be able to see the fireworks from the hotel, and it won't be as loud from there. I think we had a private bath, too. Maybe we could take a bath and watch the fireworks together?" It was only after he said the words that he realized that taking a bath together meant being naked together. He blushed, but covered it by looking down, "Um, stopping at the pet store should be ok..." his blush fell away quickly at the thought of being the 'mommy'. His mind drifted to his own mother, the one time he'd called her 'mommy' she'd smacked him hard enough he fell to the ground. He was careful never to say it again. "I like mama better," he said softly, but looking at Daichi and the puppy brought his smile back, darker memories falling away. "I highly doubt that, I don't have the discipline to be solely responsible for her training." He wasn't too sure about crate training. He couldn't imagine being locked behind bars to be very relaxing. He couldn't help but compare it to being bound out on the veranda. Locked in one place, helpless against the world around you, unable to change anything, only having to endure...he felt cold and shivered slightly at the thought, leaning in against Daichi further. "I-I don't want to cage her," he said softly. "Can we try without at first? She won't take up much room. Maybe she could sleep with us? Then when she needs to go to the bathroom, we will feel her moving around the bed? Or even in her own bed when we get it..." He'd let Daichi chose, in the end, though. If Daichi wanted to crate train her, Kaoru would do as he was told. When Daichi said he wanted Kaoru to name her, Kaoru was surprised. The man was trusting him with something so important? Names had power, they had meaning and Kaoru wanted to give her the perfect name.. What should they name her? He needed to pick something Daichi would like as well. He thought for some time, muttering out names to himself and looking up at Daichi before shaking his head. "Ok, so-I've narrowed it down to two names. Either Hana (flower), or Yuri (lily). I think both kind of fit her, but I want you to make the final choice."He smiled when Daichi made his choice and nodded, "The perfect name for our perfect daughter." They had reached the front gate and Kaoru nodded to Daichi's question. "Yeah, I think that would be best. Then we can get her settled in bed and we can bathe in the private bath to watch the fireworks." Kaoru followed Daichi to the pet store and looked over the list once more. "Ok, food, bowls, bed, chew toys, grooming supplies, name tag for her harness and treats. I think the toys we have could last until we get home. What do you think?" He looked around and kind of shied away from the overly pink items. they were garishly bright. He found a medium sized bed that had colors that would match well with their apartment. "This one is nice..." he was pushing the cart since Daichi still had the puppy. Curious, Kaoru placed the bed in the cart and gently lifted the little girl from Daichi's arms. He lay her down on the bed and she sniffed at it a few times before yawning and stretching adorably. She curled in a ball and promptly went right back to sleep. "I guess she likes it too-"She slept in the cart as they carefully piles her new things around her. Soon they were checking out and Daichi and Kaoru each had a few bags of things for their little girl. They may have gone a little overboard, but don't all new parents? Kaoru had drawn the line at clothes, though. She had more than enough fur to keep herself warm/ He had, however, given in when he saw some adorable bows to put in her hair. He had the puppy while Daichi carried the bed. They made their way back to the inn and Kaoru shyly explained the new guest to the elderly lady who ran the inn. She just smiled and gave the puppy a pet before telling them it was no problem. She would have to charge for anything she chewed on, or any messes she made, but thy we fine with pets at their inn. Just no pets in the bath, they shed too much. Kaoru breathed a sigh of relief and they went back tot heir room. He waited for Daichi to put the bed down before he placed their daughter onto it and lay the blanket on top of her. She barely moved in the transition, simply rolling to her back with her paws straight up in the air. Kaoru laughed and shook his head, "Guess she's tired." He checked the time and blushed, "There is still time to slip in the bath before the fireworks start, if you want-"

Daichi glanced over at Kaoru when he spoke, but didn’t think much of it. Maybe mommy was to feminine? The word for the title didn’t really matter. He doubted they would use these titles very much. Daichi shook his head a little when Kaoru said he wasn’t disciplined enough to train a puppy. “If you are disciplined enough to play the piano, you can handle a puppy.” He said. “But seeing how I doubt I am going to convince you of that tonight, we can look up training classes where we can both attend.” He added before Kaoru could say otherwise. Kaoru didn’t seem to like the idea of crate training. Maybe if he did some research on it, like Daichi had, he would feel differently about it. But for now, it didn’t really matter. Kaoru didn’t like the idea of a crate, so they wouldn’t use on. “Sure, let’s try.” He said softly. He would probably push it again if she decided to pick up late night chewing on things (not her toys), and bedwetting. Daichi chuckled a bit, a soft, breathy noise. “Why are you so determined on me picking out her name?” he asked softly, playfully. He was really curious, but he wasn’t in the mood to keep fighting Kaoru on this. He let the question go unanswered as he thought of his options. “I think Hana sounds nicer…” he looked down a nuzzled the puppy with his chin. “How’s that sound? Hana?” he asked, not expecting an answer from the sleeping pup. They decided to leave. It was the logical course, but Daichi couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed. There was still so much of the festival he wanted to show Kaoru. But he didn’t let that disappointment show. They always had tomorrow. The walk to the pet store was a quick and easy one. The sun was setting and the air was cooling. Beautiful colors painted the sky as they walked up the street. Once inside the building, Kaoru grabbed a cart and they started down the first aisle of the dog section. Daichi nodded when Kaoru read off the items they needed. “I think the cew toys will suffice until we get home.” He said, knowing that eventually Hana would have a box full of toys… if not more. Daichi reached out and squeezed the bed before he nodded. “Looks comfy.” He said, gently handing the puppy over. She snuggled into the bed and feel back asleep. “Tired puppy…I just home she stays tired…” he said with a smile, scratching her ear softly. Daichi took over pushing the cart, allowing Kaoru to explore the shelves and grab the things he wanted for his new dog. Soon they were checking out and Daichi internally laughed at the amount of stuff they had bought. They hadn’t even started on the toys yet! Daichi carried a majority of the bags, and the bed while Kaoru helped with some of the bags and held Hana. They made it back to the hotel and people in the office cooed over Hana. Daichi stepped forward to speak to the owner, but Kaoru was already greeting her. He explained the situation and soon the owner was welcoming their new puppy into her hotel, as long as they were responsible for anything she ruined and kept her out of the bath. They went up to their room, with a sleeping puppy still nestled in Kaoru’s arms. Daichi set the bags down on one side of the room and set the bed near their bed. He then returned to get out the food and water bowls. She certainly would be thirsty when she woke up. “You think she’s on a feeding schedule? Or maybe we can convert her into a grazing dog… that would be much easier…” He asked, debating whether or not to set food out for her. He decided against it, at least until they knew if she needed to be on a feeding schedule or not. He straightened as he stood and looked over at their private bath and nodded. “That looks too inviting to pass up.” He said as his hands slipped into his sleeves. He set his wallet and keys on the bedside table before he started to undo his yukata. He slipped off his belt and set it on the bed. Naturally his layers loosened and started to flare open. He looked up a moment and looked over at Kaoru. Was he blushing? Daichi couldn’t be sure… but now that he thought about it… this might be a bit embarrassing for Kaoru. Kaoru hadn’t down many sports in school, and he was isolated from people due to his family. So being naked in front of someone else, even technically family, had to be…. Daichi glanced over at the bath. With the bubbles and the bathing salts they used, the water was opaque… he hoped that would help Kaoru feel more comfortable. So just strip and get in the water quickly… He did just that. Daichi slipped the layers off his shoulders, setting it on the bed. He quickly shed the remained of his clothes and walked over to the bath. He slipped into the warm water, sighing softly. He walked over to the far side of the bath, near the window and settled in further. “This feels fantastic.” He said, glancing over to Kaoru. He couldn’t help but want to see Kaoru naked. He couldn’t remember their time from his drunk shenanigans… he wouldn’t make that mistake again, if given the chance. Sitting fulling, the water went up to just below Daichi’s sternum. His black hair wisped through the water, following the currents of the jets. He figured Kaoru wouldn’t want to be stared at, so he took a moment to dip his head under the water, wetting the rest of him. He stayed down for a moment, enjoying the warmth and hopefully giving Kaoru enough time to enter the pool. When he resurfaced, he wiped his face and ran a hand through his hair. Water droplets clung to his eyelashes and dripped off his chin, down his neck and collar bone. “Is the water too hot for you?” he asked Kaoru, now turning his full stare to him. His hair clung to the sides of his face, creating almost a black back drop against his eyes, making them seem bluer than normal.

Kaoru felt bad they were leaving the festival so early. He promised himself he'd make it up to Daichi. With how the inn keepers were cooing over Hana, he was sure he could pay them to watch her tomorrow night while they enjoyed the festival to the fullest. Kaoru glanced over everything to make sure that Hana would have everything she needed in site if she woke up. When he turned back, Daichi was removing his clothes and Kaoru blushed. Something in him told him he should look away, but he couldn't. He'd forgotten just how beautiful Daichi was. His skin soft as it stretched over lean muscles. Kaoru remembered their kiss from earlier, his body pressed against Daichi's and the heat in his belly was enough to get him to turn. He carefully removed his own clothing, knowing he was no where near as nice to look at as Daichi. Pale, scrawny limbs, every part of him weak and useless where as Daichi was slender and strong. Like a panther, there was no question of the man's worth. Kaoru felt a little ill that Daichi was stuck with him, but he remembered how his husband had kissed him earlier and held onto the hope that Daichi may actually like him in that way. Maybe he preferred a more feminine man so he could pretend he was actually married to a woman. Kaoru shook his head a little at the dark thoughts in his head as he finished stripping and folded his clothing neatly next to Daichi's. He glanced out of the patio door and saw Daichi was under the water, perfect timing for him to slip in. He'd sunk into the water before Daichi had come back up, his lower half covered by the milky water. The water went clear to his chest, but he didn't mind. He sunk lower and relaxed into the heat of the water. "No-" he whispered in reply to Daichi, his eyes closed in pleasure. "I never knew hot springs could feel so good-" he opened his eyes and felt his mouth go dry. Daichi was-indescribably attractive when he was wet. His hair and the water framed his face perfectly and Kaoru had to look away or he'd be drawn over and into his husband's lap to kiss the water from his eyelashes. Kaoru peeked over and couldn't help it. He steeled himself for rejection and moved over to where Daichi was sitting. "You're beautiful-" he breathed softly before carefully moving up to his knees and kissing his husband. "If-if you want me to stop," he whispered, pulling away for a second. Daichi didn't protest and Kaoru carefully sat across his lap as he kissed the man's eyelids like he'd wanted to. "Daichi-" he pulled away again and looked at the man, unsure how to ask what he wanted. "Will-" Kaoru blushed and buried his face against Daichi's neck, hiding from the man's gaze. "Will you make me your wife?" he whispered. He didn't really know how else to ask, but he knew he wanted it. His research had been purely curiosity before they were married, but the more time he'd spent with Daichi the more he'd wanted to feel what it would like to be together in that way. Their first night together, when Daichi had been drunk, opened Kaoru's eyes to that world and now he wanted to go deeper with Daichi there to guide him.

Kaoru nodded when Daichi said he'd get a wash cloth. He was too tired to move. He didn't notice when Daichi was gone longer than was strictly needed, he nodded off slightly. When Daichi returned, Kaoru clumsily pushed himself up and accepted the cloth. He tried to clean up, but was doing a poor job of it. Eventually Daichi helped him and Kaoru hummed happily. He laid back down and curled on his side when they were done. He shivered a little and lifted a hand up to Daichi, inviting him to lay down as well. When his husband joined him, Kaoru curled against Daichi and was asleep almost immediately. The next morning Kaoru woke to a soft whining and something wet touching his nose. He blearily woke up and was met with a wet kiss. Hana was there, with her front hind legs bent. She jumped a little, her front legs waving in the air adorably when she saw he was awake. She jumped onto the beside stand, down to her dog bed. from there she ran to the door and sat down, looking up at Kaoru and whining again. Kaoru smiled, "Need to go potty, girl?" He yawned and slide out from under to covers, but his knees buckled as soon as he stood. He fell and knelt in confusion for a second before remembering why his legs were jelly. He blushed and looked back to Daichi before pushing himself up on using the side table. His legs trembled, but he managed to make his way over to the sliding door and open it so that Hana could do her business. She ran in a small circle in excitement before going outside to pee. She didn't poop and Kaoru wondered if that was normal. He smiled when she came trotting back and made his way back to the bed. He was far slower than Hana and she was up on the bed before he could stop her. She licked Daichi's nose, trying to wake him as well and Kaoru couldn't help but laugh. "I think she wants to play with her daddy." She yipped and bowed forward again, her tiny backside wiggling as her tail moved back and forth. She jumped back and forth, and Kaoru shook his head slightly as he sat on the side of the bed and watched the two of them. "Morning-" he said softly when he met Daichi's eyes. He blushed and looked down, "thank you for last night. it was-" he blushed, "it was amazing."

Daichi simply took Kaoru’s hand and laid down. It didn’t take long for Kaoru’s breaths to even out, indicating his slumber. But Daichi was up for much longer, his mind still racing. He was feeling guilty… guilty for taking advantage of Kaoru’s curiosity. Kaoru deserved batter. After what felt like hours of mentally beating himself up, he finally slept, but the sleep was not peaceful. Daichi started to wake when he heard Kaoru speak. The weight shifted in the bed and then there was a small thump. Daichi’s tired brain tried to put together the reason for the noise, but he was drawing a blank. He heard the door to the back patio open, then close. It was quiet for a moment before the patter of tiny feet jumped onto the bed and made their way over to Daichi. He groaned softly when something wet touched his nose. He opened his eyes slightly, and realized it was Hana. He slowly slipped his hand out from under the covers and patted her head, then petted her along her spine before resting his hand back on the bed, near her paws. He wiggled his fingers, giving her something to ‘attack’ as he allowed himself to wake up more. Daichi hummed softly at Kaoru’s comment. “Go play with your mama…” his voice was thick with sleep, deep and scraggly. Daichi looked over his shoulder when he felt the bed depress again and his eyes met Kaoru’s. “Good morning…” he said softly, sounding just a bit more awake. Daichi rolled onto his back, his hair fanned out around him and tussled from Kaoru’s mussing and sleep. The blanket shifted, settling around his lower abdomen, exposing his chest as he reached up and brushed his thumb against a particular dark hickey on Kaoru’s neck. He couldn’t remember when he made this mark. “Are you alright?” he asked.

Hana licked the wiggling fingers before pushing her head against them for more pets. When she was told to go play with her mama it was like she understood the words and ran to Kaoru. He pulled her into his lap and pet the happy puppy, but he shivered a little at the feeling of Daichi's thumb on his neck. "Fine-" he said softly, smiling again. He realized he was naked as well when his eyes drifted over Daichi's naked chest. "guess i should dress-" Hana didn't seem to mind his nakedness as she bounced from his lap and began to make herself a nest in the blankets. She curled a tight circle and flopped down, her tail still wagging. "Are you? You look like you're still tired. You can go back to sleep if you want. I'll take Hana for a walk so you can sleep." He would be able to take her for the walk if he went slow. Hana had little legs, he'd make it work. "Do you want me to ask the housekeeper to hold off on breakfast?" He worried he'd pushed Daichi too far. The man had driven all day and then used up so much energy taking Kaoru to the festival only for Kaoru to push him to such extremes last night. He reached over and slipped his hand into Daichi's, lifting it up so he could kiss the man's fingers. "We can spend the day in if you want. Or take another dip in the bath. I promise to not jump you this time." He offered a little smile, trying to show Daichi he was happy to do anything the man wanted after Daichi had indulged him last night.

Daichi lowered his hand with a soft sound of protest when Kaoru mentioned getting dressed. He leaned his face into the pillow, and grumbled softly. “I’m fine.” he sighed and looked back up at Kaoru. “I guess I didn’t sleep well.” He said softly. “I can go with you…” he said when Kaoru mentioned walking Hana. Though he was worried about Kaoru… would he be fine walking? Daichi sat up, bunching the covers around his waist as he ran a hand through his hair. “Are you hungry now?” he asked, his eyes closed for a moment as he gently pulled at a knot in his hair. He really needed to comb it. He sighed and looked down at Hana. A small smile spread on his face as he reached over and gave her a gentle pet. Daichi paused when Kaoru touched him, lifting his hand to his lips. Bright blue eyes stared at him for a moment as the words registered in his head. What was Kaoru trying to say? Either, Kaoru felt indebted to Daichi for… last night… or maybe he was shyly trying to ask if they could stay in because he was sore… the latter sounded better in Daichi’s head. So acting on impulse, Daichi pulled his hand back and plopped back down on the bed, his head in Kaoru’s lap. He laid diagonally across the bed, Hana curled into his stomach on top of the covers, and wrapped his arm around Kaoru’s leg, facing away from Kaoru’s hip. “Five more minutes.” He said softly, his eyes closing almost immediately. A strand of hair fell forward, hiding some of Daichi’s features. (sorry! Short! Will be better next time!)

Kaoru couldn't quiet read the look in Daichi's eyes, but with a sudden movement the man's head was in his lap. Kaoru sat for a moment in shock before he shook his head a little. A small smile teased at his lips as he reached down and began to run his fingers through Daichi's hair. "Five more minutes, then." He finger combed out as many of the tangles as he could and then just ran his fingers through the smooth hair like he'd wanted to since the night they had met. He occasionally would gently scratch at Diachi's scalp, softly massaging the man's head. He was warm and happy and would have contently staid there for the rest of the morning, but about ten minutes later there was a knock on the door announcing their breakfast. Kaoru was about to get up to answer when he remembered they were both still naked. He carefully slid out from under Daichi's head and hurried to grab the robe provided by the onsen. "One moment, please." He tossed the larger one to Daichi and made sure they were both dressed before opening the door. "Sorry." The woman just smiled and brought in their breakfast, setting it up for them on the table. She bowed again before leaving, shutting the door behind her. "Are you hungry?" Kaoru asked, his own stomach growling as the amazing aromas drifted from the table. ((i'm guessing Daichi is going to say yes. sorry ^^)) He walked over and uncovered the many dishes, amazed by how beautiful the plating was. "I don't think my cooking will ever compare to this." he sat and waited for Daichi before they began to eat, enjoying the delicious side dishes and hot pot. ((it's ok!))

Daichi hummed softly when he felt Kaoru bury his hands in his hair. Goodness… this was heaven. Tension seemed to float away as Kaoru combed his fingers through his hair. The slight tug of his fingers, the gentle touch of his fingertips… he could get used to this kind of treatment. Daichi’s breathing would hitch slightly whenever Kaoru’s blunt nails scratched at his scalp. He could actually feel himself starting to fall asleep again, a peaceful sleep… not one filled with tension and worry… he wished for it… it had been a while since he had a blissful sleep. But the knock at the door was a jarring reminder that they weren’t alone, they weren’t home… Daichi couldn’t have everything he wanted… Daichi groaned, slightly frustrated when Kaoru got up to answer the door. He sighed and sat up… catching the robe Kaoru tossed at him. He got out of the bed and slipped the robe on, tying the belt firmly in place. He walked to the bathroom, scratching his head as Kaoru opened the door and allowed the women to come in to set up their breakfast. Daichi shut the door and did his business, then washed his face and combed his hair before he returned. All the food was set out and ready when he returned. Daichi nodded, walking over to the table to sit and eat with Kaoru. He looked over at the spread of food and nodded in approval. “Looks pretty impressive.” He said as he grabbed his bowl and chop sticks. He took a bite for his hot pot and nodded again as he chewed. It was delicious. But he still liked Kaoru’s cooking more. He took a few more bites in silence before he spoke again. “What would you like to do today?” he asked. “ There’s still a lot of the festival we didn’t experience yesterday. And we also didn’t really get a full experience with the private bath.” He pointed his chop sticks in the direction of the tub. “Up to you…” he said casually. He didn’t want to push Kaoru after the night he put the male through. Surely he was tired and sore? They could stay in; enjoy the pleasures of a private hot spring, and a fancy hotel. They still had the first part of tomorrow to go to the festival before they had to head home. Daichi glanced over at the bed, and smiled at Hana. She needed to be walked. He could take her after breakfast… let Kaoru sleep in a bit. Daichi turned his attention to Kaoru. He realized Kaoru hadn’t answered him yet. He smiled and his eyebrow rose in a question. He watched Kaoru’s face for a few moments… he could practically see the gears turning as Kaoru processed. It was rather adorable. Daichi took another bite, but his eyes were still on Kaoru, with a playful look in his eyes and a smirk across his features.

Kaoru thought for a moment. He was a bit sore, that was true, but he wasn't sure that Daichi would want to hang out in the hotel. He carefully ate as he thought over the options. "How about we wash off and soak in the tub for a while before we take Hana for a walk? Should be around lunch then, we can go to the festival and eat there? If you want to." He saw Daichi smiling at Hana and smiled as well. "I think that pet store had a day care for puppies. We might look into having them watch Hana while we are at the festival. Or we could see if the hostess would watch her for us." They finished eating and Kaoru gathered their plates, placing it back onto the tray the woman had brought it in on. They would most likely come and get it later. He stretched a little bit, his lower back just slightly more sore than his bum due to the position he was in while they made love. Kaoru yawned a little and held his hand out to Daichi, "Want to shower together? I'll wash your hair." IT hadn't missed his notice how much Daichi had enjoyed Kaoru just playing with his hair earlier. He was going to make it his goal to play with the man's hair as much as possible.

Daichi nodded at Kaoru’s decision. “Sounds good to me.” He said, taking another bite of his breakfast. The plan actually sounded perfect. A soak in the tub would be relaxing and hopefully rejuvenating for Kaoru, not to mention enjoyable. Hana would enjoy the walk, very much he imaged. Then they could go to the festival for the afternoon. There was supposed to be a small carnival area, kind of modeled after American fairs. Cheezy carnival games and rides. He smiled softly at the image of Kaoru trying to win a goldfish or something from one of the stalls. Daichi nodded when Kaoru mentioned daycare. "Maybe he can go by there during the walk and ask, see what the requirements are. But since she has all her shots, I doubt there will be any issue.” He said. He tried to think of reasons why the daycare wouldn’t hold her for the day, but couldn’t think of any. That would work perfect too… they could just walk by on their way back to get her, since the pet store wasn’t too far from either the festival or the pet store. Breakfast was delicious, and filling. He had felt bad not eating the delicious meal, so he made sure to empty his plate. He felt so full… standing was a relief. He walked over to Hana and picked her up, petting her gently as Kaoru gathered the plates and stretched. He figured Kaoru would shower first, that way he could soak in the tub a little longer. Daichi didn’t mind… though he did worry being left alone would give him time to over think his actions last night. Kaoru, however, had a different plan. Daichi looked at Kaoru, surprised. Oh… that sounded wonderful… wait, was he getting greedy? Daichi loved Kaoru’s hands in his hair, and he had enjoyed their time together last night, and he lo- Daichi loved Kaoru. The thought struck him hard. He wasn’t – he shouldn’t – Kaoru deserved better. But… Kaoru asked… Kaoru was offering… it wasn’t like Daichi was pressuring Kaoru to… he hadn’t even given Kaoru the idea… Kaoru wanted… so it was okay to agree, right? It wasn’t being greedy if Kaoru wanted it? That was probably faulty thinking, but Daichi let his mind fool him. He smiled softly, and nodded before he reached out and took Kaoru’s hand. He set Hana carefully on the bed, and followed Kaoru to the bathroom. The bathroom was huge, with large see through glass doors. Daichi opened the doors and started the water to warm it up. Then, instinctually he grabbed his brush that sat on the sink and gave his hair a few strokes, making sure there were no knots or tangles. Daichi’s eyes were drawn to Kaoru when the male started to undress, much too slowly for Daichi’s tastes. Okay… taking a plutonic shower with Kaoru wasn’t going to happen. Daichi glanced at the shower for a moment, trying to thinking of anything other than Kaoru, naked, pressed up against the glass doors. … … … Yep, not going to happen. Daichi looked back at Kaoru, reaching out for the male. He stepped into his personal space, tilting Kaoru’s chin up before he kissed him. His hand trailed up from Kaoru’s chin to cup the side of his face as the other hand went to Kaoru’s hip. He hesitated, for a moment… giving Kaoru a chance to pull back and refuse.

Kaoru wasn't going to lie. He kinda of had ulterior motives when he asked Daichi to shower with him. He was sore and didn't know if he would be able to have more full blown sex so soon, but maybe a bit of play? He wouldn't initiate, and if Daichi didn't, at least he seemed ok with Kaoru washing his hair. They were in the bathroom and Kaoru was undressing as Daichi turned the water on. He had his back to Daichi and was a little hesitant to turn around, still body shy, but he reminded himself that Daichi had seen everything the night before. He hadn't seemed displeased with what he'd seen either. As he turned, Daichi reached out for him and their lips were pressed against each other. Kaoru smiled a little and kissed back, opening his mouth to the older man. He really felt he could get addicted to kissing. That or Daichi was an amazing kisser. Probably a combination of both. Kaoru slid closer and ran his hands up into Daichi's hair, tightening once he'd gotten his fingers tangled in the silky locks. He broke the kiss to pant softly, looking up into those gorgeous eyes with admiration. He gave Daichi's hair a little tug, pulling his head to the side before softly kissing the man's neck. He teased and suckled until there was a mark left. Kaoru pulled away with a little smirk, liking that he'd left something lasting on his husband. "We should shower before the water gets cold." He stepped away from Daichi, releasing his hair and slowly backed up until he was under the hot spray, his eyes never leaving his husbands. Once he was in the water, Kaoru held his hand out to Daichi, inviting the man to join him. ((Time skip? blaugh ))
