Tomlin - Fighting the Robot : 1 damage
The rewiring seemed to be going well, Tomlin thought. The lights were coming back up, and one of the displays came to life, glowing with a half-way mark. But then a warning light joined it. He should have known it was going too smoothly.
The ginger guardian hissed, tensing for a youma attack, but there was no aura from the alleged intruder in the hall. Instead, a mecha-Mauvian approached, a little metal facsimile of their kind. It was an interesting work of technology, almost cute, until it screeched at them again and opened fire. It didn't seem to recognise they belonged here. He could only conclude that Mauvians had made it, but idiots had programmed it.
"Where were you when the youma was intruding?" he complained, voice a low growl.
He dropped into a crouch, moving to place himself between the robot and those still working on the repairs. It seemed the robot wouldn't back down, and it wasn't running out of energy either. Darting towards it, Tomlin lashed out with a paw, but his claws only grazed the metal casing.

The system is 63 % working now!
The Robot's health has been lowered to 92 %!
It is growing more difficult to concentrate on restoring the system; the robot is firing more lasers in all directions.
It seemed that Mel's words had somehow registered into the Robot's vocabulary. "Intruder Alert! Intruder!! Exterminate!" Thankfully, the lasers the mechanical Mauvian was firing didn't change. They still caused the same pain or numbness that they did before.
After the robot hit Tomlin and heard the question about youma, it included that into it's vocabulary too! "Intruder! Youma! Exterminate!" It seemed that the robot was also affected by the system being broken as it picked up certain words here and there.
The snowflakes that Snowball threw bounced off the metal exterior of the robot but it did catch the metal mauvians attention along with Etoile's attack. The robot seemed confused as to who to go after, and after a few short moments it was firing lasers faster than it had before.

Fighting the Robot : [9]
Mel nearly got zinged again by a laser when he saw the white human guardian (Snowball) toss out magic. "I have GOT to learn how to do that!" The savannah barely knew how to upgrade someone, honestly it happened on instinct, and he still had no clue how he opened and used that subspace pocket thingy when he scooped a bunch of the saved starseeds from when they raided the negaverse's barracks. If he could do magic too, man... that would be sooooo cool. Being human would be epic enough because then he could cook his own food but to do magic. He just had to learn how.
Mel focused back on the task at hand... paw... only to be distracted once more, this time by something someone said. "Nah. I think it's more Dalek like then Cyberman." Mel debated with the black cat (Hania) working on the crystal wires. He wasn't a Whovian by any definition of the word but he knew the major villains and he still got a Dalek vibe from robokitty. "It could be worse. It could be a Weeping Angel. Or a dog. Hey! Watch it!" Mel growled at the robot as he dodged another laser, his a** still hurt from the one that zapped him before. He did not want to repeat that again. "Not youma you bucket of bolts. Guardians! The best guardians there ever where!" He cursed at the mechanical security device, apparently it picked up yet another word beyond 'exterminate'. At least 'youma' wasn't something a villain on a tv show would say. It was still pretty insulting to get called a youma though. "Do I look like a bag of dust held together by stupid tape?"
Mel got lucky, he spotted the best angle of attack and with a whoop and a shout he took it, "YAHOOOOOO!" Jumping, the large cat soared through the air and landed on the back of the robokitty. "Ride em cowboy!" His claws dug into the creature's metal seams and he held on for dear life as the machine continued its rampage. He wasn't on it for very long, he was tossed off like a ragdoll but he still got his licks in and he was able to avoid the lasers. "Now that was a wild ride," he chirped as he shook a cloud of dust from his fur, that room was still disgustingly dirty, already looking for another opening to take a second crack at beating the eight second mark and walking away with the prize.
((tl;dr - Mel wants to learn oh great Snowball, Debates the merits of Daleks, Cybermen, and Weeping Angels... and Dogs, Is insulted by being called a youma, Rides robokitty like a bucking bronco, and Wants to do it again))

Fighting the Robot : 3dmg - dodged laser!
”Oh, for goodness sake!” Ash burst out in exasperation as a laser scorched off the crystal beside her. It was too much of a distraction to keep working on this, and with so many other hands, it was probably safe to say it was handled. Even though a part of her cried that no one could fix it as well as she could…
But she had other abilities, abilities she knew a scant few of their number had. Snowball was already demonstrating and Ash rose in a swirl of her cape, throwing a hand up to catch the bright purple ray gun that suddenly popped into existence and fell into it.
“Ash Star Power, Make-up!” She cried as she brandished her gun, and her form dissolved into a flickering, glowing fall of 1s and 0s. The numbers exploded into falling sparks and she stood transformed, dressed now in a capelet and skirt rather than a cape, a pair of boots on her feet. She still held her gun clasped in her hand, and as the robotic cat got within range, she struck out at it with a booted foot, managing a graze.
“Naughty thing… You stop this right now! We’ve got admin access, ok? Geez!” Ash growled.

Tomlin - Fighting the Robot : [2 damage] (attack dodged)
Tomlin groaned when he heard his own words parroted back at him, along with some of Mel's comments.
"Adaptive learning? Yeah, real advanced."
The little robot cat still hadn't caught on to the fact they were trying to help, and was still spraying lasers in all directions. Tomlin felt the auras shift behind him, the powerful signature of a humanoid mauvian suddenly disapparing, and for a moment he feared the worst. Then he realised what had replaced that aura, a much more sensible level of power, for a far rarer form. He'd only seen one other cat take the form and power Snowball took now. The robot wasn't the only thing that could adapt. Ash shifted forms as well, and that was reassuring, that the trick was in more than one cat's paws. He'd have to ask them about it. If this secret lair was an indication of knowledge lost, they did not want to risk any of the new things they'd learned slipping away like cats into dark alleys, disappearing without a whisper, gone like whoever badly programmed the robot.
Tomlin moved in for another attack, but hesitated when Mel went flying right onto the mech's back, riding it around like a bull. He watched with some admiration, paw half-raised. The other cat might have no fear, but Tomlin didn't want to accidentally hit him.
When the other cat was clear and thankfully still in one piece, Tomlin took another swipe, hoping to knock the bot off whatever passed for its feet, but with so much else going on, the hit was bad, glancing off metal again. He was out of practice.
