Afina chuckled quietly, the idea of interfering in her children's lives did certainly spark her interest and as the seed took hold in her mind she decided that was exactly what she needed to do. Perhaps it would distract her for a short time.
She smiled at her mate, he could be fun when he wanted to be and she saw something of the mischievous look in his eyes that had attracted her to the big lout in the first place. He was such a good male. She knew just how lucky she was though she would never say that to Xenon, after all, he should stay humble.
The deep blue lioness nipped at her mates tail as he passed and she picked up her paws to follow after him. Her net would remain in the sea, it's little fishies available for any cubs that needed them but when she returned to the beach after the feast she would release them back in to the waves. It was no good to waste them after all and the sea, she thought, would undoubtedly be pleased to have its denizens back.
Without another word she let out a pleased sigh, this day had been full of ups and downs, she hoped more ups than downs for all concerned.

"See to it," Peregrine remarked as he gave Durama a nod. "If we can locate him, we should be able to clear one or two things up," he paused briefly as Spectre bridged the distance and came to a halt beside Chessa. The clouded male was aware that their ghostly patient was peering at him with a renewed sense of interest. For all the spectral lion's issues, he had made remarkable progress under the treatment of his mother and hopefully, they would be able to treat him further once they received the information they sought.
"I'll get to it," Durama gave a small salut as he dusted the sand off his hindlegs and cleared his throat. "You'll all be all right on your own, I assume?" he added and raised a brow. Not that he deemed Chessa and Peregrine to be incompetent, but one had to be sure now and then, after all... they were a family line that generally refrained from any dramatic display of emmotion.
"I imagine we'll be fine," Chessa chuckled as she lifted a paw and gave the rabbit a gentle nudge. "Find him for us, the sooner we know the answers, the sooner we can work towards a more permanent solution," she murmured softly.
Durama gave a small, gusty sigh.
"You would think you were trying to get rid of me," he murmured and then smiled. "Don't worry, I'll track him down in a jiffy, and more if I can," he added. It was with that, that the rabbit sound bounced off. The feast wasn't really a place for him... Given he wasn't inclined towards meat, he would get no value from being near all that fish. Better for him to gather up his own meal and then be off!
"Is he...?" Spectre furrowed his brow.
"No," Chessa replied to the spectral lion and shook her head. "The one we're looking for isn't at risk from your shadows," she added and pursed her lips. "He's the wrong colour," she added, giving the spectral lion considerable pause for thought.
"Wrong colour?" Spectre asked.
"Something you said before, that's all," Peregrine assisted his mother and gave a small wave of his paw. "I imagine it will come back to you at some point, but for now, you can simply be reassured that he is safe from the monsters until your memory serves you well again," he finished.
The clouded male was met by a measured stare from the spectral lion... One that even he had difficulty understanding. Peregrine, though mildly unsettled, felt that this was a considerable improvement. When the white lion had first arrived on these shores, Peregrine had been able to read him like a book... Now it was turning into a challenge.
"We'll introduce you at some point," Chessa offered with a small chuckle. "But he's rather hard to get hold of and quite the wanderer," she explained. "Perhaps that will allay some fears?"
"Mmm..." Spectre was non-commital as he regarded both lions.
"For now though, food appears to be in order," the clouded lion opted to change the topic and smiled. "We have some celebrating to do, our very own divine being has already concluded you are worthy," he raised a brow. "If that isn't worth celebrating I don't know what is."
"Food?"
"Ah yes, there is a feast after this particular Rite... and you are invited," Chessa smiled warmly. "And like all those who have done those rites today, you are afforded a place of honour." She finished and began to walk towards the central region of the pride in preparation for the closing ceremonies...Huo: 5 | Shui: 5 | Soleil: 5 | Solomon: 3 | Euphy: 5 | Tala: 7 | Peregrine: 5 | Chessa: 5 | Spectre: 5 | Durama: 5 | Xenon: 5

I don't think anymore stragglers will be coming in before the closing ceremony so we'll roll this now for all the folks who participated!1. SilverLutz 2. Syrius Lionwing 3. Belloblossom 4. magnadearel 5. Kimaria 6. DavyJnah ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cub Details: Parents:
Siblings:
Naming Theme:
Astral Moons in the solar system, as per their heritage. Their naming conventions come from Destati and Arimathras's line. Raised By:
While Tethys is the father of all of these cubs, his half-brother Solomon will act as their father. The cubs will be raised by both Krisis and Solomon, in the larger scheme of things he'll be more of the father figure, and Tethys will be more like the uncle! Restrictions:
These cubs can't leave the Bahari'mtoto without the express permission of both Greenie and Epine. However, if we go awol for over a year and you simply can't get in contact with us, then this will be waived. Any Other Questions?
Any other questions regarding the family just need to be asked, there's obviously a great deal of things happened around this particular family line so don't be afraid to ask if you're curious about something.

With the proceedings at the beach coming to the close, it was time for Ram to make his case. It wasn't long before he sent several messages around to those stragglers who were finishing up their conversations. The feast would begin shortly and it would be within their best interests to show up when they can, or risk not receiving a hearty meal!
...Well not really, but the best fish would probably be pilfered rather quickly and no one wanted that.
Nevertheless, he did make it clear that those who wished to remain on the shore could certainly do so, and they could join as and when they saw fit. Today was a day for celebration, but also one for reflection. The sea had provided a very valuable lesson to all its participants, reminding many of them that they were mortal and that sometimes your lineage didn't matter. His own family were a perfect example of this - a fair few of them had been knocked off their pedestals and reminded of their place. Similarly, the rogue born had been embraced, or categorically reminded that they had work to do before the ocean would accept them.
In this rite, all lions were created equally and while cultural expectations might place heavy judgement on those who disrespected their traditions, that didn't necessarily mean that the consequences of those actions were undeserving.
He had no doubt that there would be some who would be upset for a while, but in time, he hoped that they would embrace the challenge and move forward once more... After all, the sea could change its mind at a moments notice, they had seen a fair amount of impressive storms to know that first hand...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[This meta is now officially over, however, the thread will remain open for those participants who would like to finish off their RPs etc so that their characters can get their RP credit! Once again, thank you to everyone who participated. heart ]
