One good thing was that she was not going to have to build up any energy charges for this fight. The heart seemed to be rather stationary, seeing as it was.. well a heart. No need to dodge or shield herself from a counter attack. That did feel a little unsporting of her, but she wasn't against using a weakness against something.
Oh, wow she .. knicked the heart. just a tap really. Nothing to write home about. Still it was progress. The thudding was getting on her nerves though. It was so loud.

Melvin moved and adjusted his grip on Saliva before aiming for a set of valves. Breathing out, he tried to concentrate through the massive thudding that made his own heart feel like it might burst.
The charge hit solid and the massive muscle quivered before the thudding picked up.

Noah tried to scramble up to the heart chamber, but the bony arms grabbed onto his legs and dragged him back down. He yelped and tried to pull free.

Noah kicked free of the decayed things in the muck and dug Laz into the walls of the chamber to climb up into the heart chamber after everyone else.

The sight of the heart chamber was surreal, like some kind of room in a video game. But the oppressive heat and the steady thudding of the conjoined hearts were a stark reminder that this was real. Noah stepped forward and swung Laz into the surface of the hearts, ripping at the tough muscle fiber with the saw's teeth.

Rep finally arrived, irritable and out of sorts, he spotted the heart and swam in closer to it, Tracey summoned in the close quarters and twisted against the flesh.

Rep's weapon was huge. Noah dodged out of the way carefully and slashed Laz across the heart's surface a safe distance away from the older hunter.

When Noah swung again, Laz seemed to bounce right off the tough surface.

He tried again, putting more force into the swing and angling Laz's serrated teeth to dig in more effectively. The weapon gouged a shallow, ragged line into the heart; it oozed strangely-colored fluids. Noah spared a moment's thought to be grateful that the thing's blood wasn't red. Carving away at the huge heart could have been that much more uncomfortable.
Laz voiced a bubbling growl of satisfaction, and his runes lit up white with a charge.

Laz growled and snarled wetly in Noah's head, demanding. The feel of the charge was different this time, heavy and hot and angry rather than cool and wet. He didn't know what that meant, but it was almost physically uncomfortable to hold.
BITE, Laz demanded.
Okay, bite, Noah agreed cautiously, and found himself slashing and stabbing repeatedly at the heart, Laz's aggression overflowing into Noah's mind and hands. The slashes seemed to merely bounce off the tough muscle, however, the saw's teeth finding no purchase on its surface.

Melvin beamed as Noah and Rep showed up. "Just hacking from here!" He told them and fired again.
Pieces of heart from the outermost layer were started to flick off and float in the chamber's liquid.

Terry has little reason not to attack the thing and several reasons to. However, given how out of shape he was, and the defensive nature of his weapon, the Life Trainee wasn't sure how to go about it.
Just throw yourself at it~ Agata cheered on.
So he did, hurling himself with the toothy grinning shield taking the brunt of his attack.

Joy just wanted out of this place. She wanted to take a shower, she wanted to feel clean again. Also she wanted to eat seafood probably as a means of revenge along with hacking this beating heart to pieces.
