{ ATE : Echoes of Shadow : End } { Xehanort : Realm of Darkness ~ Xarcabard : Castle Zvahl }
Xehanort watched, and his expression changed little; the tiny twitch of a smirk remained, all that revealed his appreciation.
"Yes. May it not disappoint," he simply said, beginning to vanish as a corridor of darkness opened around him, consuming him from sight; the remainder of his words were little more than an echo of his presence, reverberating off the walls, as if to whisper, "like so many other recent events."

{ ATE : The Broker ~ Case of the Warrior : 2 } { Saint : Realm of Darkness : ??? }Cue: Max Richter - Something Under Her Skin Blessed be the meek, for they are cast to the shadows.
Saint's eyes were cast out over the expanse of overgrown wasteland. The black brambles and thorns twisted in what seemed into a never ending void beyond. The sky was black save for a singular ball of luminescence.
Blessed be the poor, for theirs is a destitute existence..
For the first time, in what seemed ages to him, he felt alive with energy pulsing through his body. Beneath the cold harsh light, Saint had purpose and acceptance... and then it was all gone.
A voice called out to him, and Saint snapped his head to the figure. A man in a familiar Organisation getup was casually walking toward him.
"Don't feel good if that's what you're getting at... the ******** you want blackie." Saint spat.

{ ATE : The Broker ~ Case of the Warrior : 3 } { The Broker : Realm of Darkness : ??? } They lifted their arms in front of them and waved back and forth, as if to dispel any negative implications. "Eesh, so venomous," they said, neutral, casual. "I'm here to ask a couple questions, see if you're interested in a deal.""See, I'm a big fan of choice, and--well--some other forces aren't," they continued, stopping a few meters away; it was a safe distance for ordinary people, perhaps. "Which is why you in particular intrigue me. You were at Hati's house last night, weren't you?"The question was undeniably rhetorical. "She didn't rat you out, if that's what you're wondering. I just like to keep an eye on your kind," they continued, androgynous voice sounding playful but honest. "I gotta wonder about that meeting. How did you feel? Maybe a heavy distrust you couldn't place, an anger that seemed unfounded? Was every second in her presence an uncomfortable conflict of strange emotion? Let me know if I'm warm."

{ ATE : The Broker ~ Case of the Warrior : 4 } { Saint : Realm of Darkness : ??? } How did he...
Saint stood there slightly confounded, still on edge at the thing's presence. He was becoming more and more aware that his actions were always public knowledge at least to the being that stood before him. A sense of paranoia and intrigue came over him as he shifted uncomfortably. He was never the best at hiding his emotions.
"Alright, you devious little devil you." he said, gaining his composure.. "You know a lot about me, huh?"
He bit his lip, pondering how to phrase his next statement and sarcastically spouted, "You want to make a 'deal'? Ooo boy doesn't this sound fun. Some Faustian bullshit to plunge me six feet under..."

{ ATE : The Broker ~ Case of the Warrior : 5 } { The Broker : Realm of Darkness : ??? } "Not as much as it may sound, but more than one would expect," they said, lifting one hand first before the other as if to show a scale. "To put it plain, I have personal experience with that thing infesting your heart. I know how it tugs on its host's emotions, amping some, suppressing others," they said, their tone getting somewhat disgusted as they spoke about the subject. "It makes you feel... well, whatever it wants you to feel. Because you're a half-heart, with unstable emotions, so the easiest way to mold you is to control your emotions.""You might think I'm devilish and taking advantage of you, but at least I'm a proponent of free will and self identity," they said, shrugging. "And what I want to offer is something that thing doesn't want you to have: your own heart, your own self, capable of both darkness and light if you so choose, and more importantly, the means to protect it.""There's a cost, yes, but as far as the catch, there's only one: if you ever decide to help that abomination, including Xehanort or its other toys, in their plans to consume and erase the cosmos, then quite a few of the neat perks get revoked," they said. "Not the heart; I can't revoke that. But some of the other things I'll go over...," they shrugged, turning to the side as if to get ready to leave, before adding, "if you're even interested."

{ ATE : Closing Wounds : 1 } { Dawn : Mirage Arena : Stables} Sigh
Dawn had her head leaning against the beak of Sky. She had been out here since right after training ended for the day. Something Dawn had been doing quite frequently since the chocobos were brought into the training. She had yet to hear anything from her summon yet. It made her anxious. Dawn found a welcome solitude from it when she was with her feathered companion.
Sigh
If Garuda was the only one.
Sigh
Steven.
Dawn had barely been able to get over the emotions left over from the Louis ordeal. Then Steven showed up with the same face. It unnerved her a bit. Though the line was put down since he joined that he wasn't Louis, something she knew. At the same time, there was a part of her that just couldn't let go of... something. Because of those feelings Dawn had a hard time even saying much of anything to Steven. Unless she had to.
Sigh...
"I am such a b***h."
There was that side of her. Then the other one who wanted to talk to Steven. Dawn wanted to clear the air. So she could move on and maybe be friends with the guy.
Sigh
That was why she was sighing countless times. She left a note under Steven's door. She didn't even remember what she wrote on it. Just something Stables. She didn't remember if she wrote her name it. Just writing... something. Placing note and then retreating before she was found.
It was all really silly. Steven may not of been found it for all she known. For all she knew thought the person who wrote it was crazy.
"Well as if that wasn't far from the truth. I am a bit of a crazy b***h. Right, Sky?"
Siiiiigh.

{ ATE : The Master's Failure : 1/Full? } { Yen Sid : Disney : Mirage Arena } From the moment the Earthlings dispersed after that night in Narnia, Yen Sid's thoughts had ever been side-tracked, lost in a time gone by. While unnoticeable by most, Mickey seemed to realize his master's distance; despite his concern, however, he voiced little more than reassurance of cause. However, a few days into training, someone asked a specific question, and it seemed to bring a shift to the mentor's mood: "So, anyone know about Oswald the Rabbit?"It had been an offhand comment, and though Yen Sid managed to keep his composure, shortly after training he made his departure; saying he would back in a couple days, he made his way back toward the elevator, and disappeared. To them, of course, it would seem a couple days; but most would realize that for him it would be a short trip. And as he'd said, just days later, he returned, calling a meeting of all those in training. There, standing between himself and the group, was a strange, miniature model of what appeared to be some decrepit theme park. He had simply stared into the model, waiting for their approach, but even as they neared they could tell: he was troubled. Distracted. Once all were gathered, he sighed. "Long ago, I was more than simply a sorcerer," he explained. "I was a Keyblade Master, as many of you know. As a master, I was charged with the protection of the worlds from the forces of darkness. And yet, for many years now, I have sworn away my keyblade... because of what, I feel, was one of the greatest misjudgments of my long life.
"Many years ago, I came to this very world, sensing a growing threat to the balance. A strange manifestation of darkness had grown here, where the rules were... less strict," he continued. "This world was notoriously loose with the laws of physics and reality, and this monstrosity took advantage. Originally little more than a blot of ink, it grew, consuming and corrupting innocent people with its strange power over the world's rules. By the time I'd arrived, it was already... a devastating force.
"I fought, and yet I was not enough. I reached out for aid, but the other masters... had their own concerns. There was only me, and the people of this world," he said. "I fought alongside these brave, selfless people, but in the end it simply wasn't enough: this shadowy blot had grown into the perfectly adapted predator. In the end, in stress, in doubt... I made a choice I would forever regret. I locked the beast away, at the cost of every single corrupted individual as well, in this model world.
"Once all was said and done, I swore away my keyblade, ashamed at my own weakness. Still, seeing the bravery of the people of this world, I thought, perhaps, I could redeem myself..." He looked then to Mickey, a mournful expression across his aged face. "By sealing away the region of this world into this model, the memories of the surviving populace were weakened, and you... forgot. But I remembered. And you were so brave, so selfless," he explained. "I thought, perhaps, that in training you, and later a new generation, that I could be redeemed for my own failures. But now--" He stared out at the Earthlings and the natives. "--Now I see an even greater light. You hold so much promise, so much compassion. I am old now; wise, but not as powerful as I once could have been, had I made the proper choices.
"But today, the choice seems made for me. What I show you now--this model, this miniature world--is a land once forsaken," he explained, staring back down at the small, darkened amusement park miniature upon a pedestal. "But not forever. Indeed, not for much longer. You see, I have decided upon your final exam.""Come the end of our third day, you will be tasked with saving this world," he said, looking out at the group with more of a fire in his eyes than any might have seen before. "If you are able to do what I could not in the prime of my youth, then I will deem you ready to face the coming hordes. Ready to set foot outside in the turmoil yet to come. This shall be your test: save this world, and I will concede that you are ready to save the rest."And so the terms of their training were set.

{ ATE : Good Friend 'Captain Morgan' : 2 } { Kyle : Mirage Arena : Second Floor Halls } At some point in the midst of Feather's preparations, there had been a soft sound of running coming from upstairs, followed shortly by rapid knocks.
Silence came, but it only lasted a few minutes, until about the time that Feather began calling out through the house. Then there was then more running, followed by a fairly deadpan, "Ow." calling out from said floor's halls. That was almost instantly followed by a heavy, slamming thud.
Those down below would have little to nothing to go off of; had they been even remotely distracted by their own devices, they likely didn't even notice. Of course, those in the hall itself would have seen Kyle run from his room, frantically speaking with Merlin in the wizard's room, only to run back out down the hall in an almost too-excited skipping... and twist his ankle, falling flat on his face in front of Noelle's room.

{ATE : Old Acquaintances, New Friends : 1} {Ashley : Paris : Outside Hati’s Mansion} For the first time using the new teleportation, Ashley was not expecting much. This was a new experience so considering where she ended up was as good as she could hope. She ended up landing in a very dark alleyway that was not clean in the slightest.
Brushing herself off Ashley made her way as casually as she could out of the alley until she came face to face with a giant mansion. Her gut was telling her this was where she had come before to talk to El- Hati. She casually made her way to the gate looking it over intrigued.
‘Here we go,’ Ashley thought before she knocked her hand against the gate. “Is anyone there? I am here to talk to the owner of the mansion if possible.”

{ ATE : Good Friend 'Captain Morgan' : 3 } { Sayrike : Disney Castle : Mirage Arena } The dull, lingering echoes of a muscle spasm faintly pulsed through the upper thigh of Sayrike’s leg. She knew that if she moved her foot just the wrong way, the muscle would spasm again, so she had been lying down on her bed in the training room dorm for at least a good 10 minutes trying not to move. This, unfortunately, left her some time to think, an activity that had been, so far, largely pushed to the wayside during the week (?) of training the earthlings had been undergoing in this dimensional pocket of sorts. Sayrike might not have necessarily been the fastest person out there, but she prided herself on her endurance. However, even she had been hitting her limits as of late. It didn’t help that she had been coming off of several days as pirate prisoner, a starving escapee, a fugitive in the woods, and then battling for her life in this strange amalgam of worlds and unknown forces where it seemed every other person had a hidden agenda. Now, Sayrike was not only emotionally exhausted, but physically as well. A small bead of water leftover from her shower ran down her forehead and into her ear. Gross. But she let it be, too tired to muster the energy to wipe it away. Sayrike had wanted to take advantage of the onsen she had heard existed somewhere, but the aches in her body persuaded her otherwise. The cool blanket beneath her spread-eagle form and the still, calming silence of the room further supported the wisdom in this choice. Now, here, she could relax for a moment… Really, just a moment. That’s all I need… Sayrike closed her eyes and started to sink into sleep. "HEY EVERYONE! DO YOU WANT TO MEET MY GOOD FRIEND CAPTAIN MORGAN? COME TO THE LIVING ROOM!"Sayrike internally groaned. She normally didn’t mind socializing. But, gods above, she was tired. To lie here and sleep, or to go out there and get to know her teammates better? … …Sigh.Worse than anything, she hated missing out on bonding experiences and being left out of the loop. Opening up the door let in a burst of smells. Cheese, the tang of soy sauce, the rich scent of sesame seed oil…Sayrike’s stomach suddenly felt empty, and she decided following her nose would be the best course of action here. It led her to the living room, where one of the new people was bustling back and forth, carrying trays of delicious-looking food. “Hey!” she said, finding a moment when the new person didn’t have their hands full. “Do you need any help with this? It looks amazing!” Sayrike once again cursed her inability to remember names properly and hoped that this Earthling’s name might pop up again in the course of the evening (?). Man, this whole time-warping this is gonna get confusing.

{ ATE : The Broker ~ Case of the Warrior 6 } { Saint : Realm of Darkness : ??? } They could make me normal...? I could feel happiness and joy. I could love, I could- You're a fool...The monotone voice of Dark Ixion rang through his head. Up to this point in his time, Ixion had stayed silent, quietly approving of his actions no matter how drastic. The voice was deep, almost, ironically, thunderous and had a slight growl to reflect the primal spirit. Saint was was immediately stunned upon hearing the voice and was thoughtless as Ixion berated his psyche. They seek to trick you, and make you a puppet... You'll be a slave to their will. They will strip you of your power, leave you with nothing and use you for their will... You're vulnerable and they know that... They'd want nothing better to rid the world of your darkness. That's what you are, and they cannot accept that.A slow boiling rage came over Saint as he listened to his trusted companion. He looked up to the figure across the clearing and spoke loudly, almost zealously saying, "You're catch seems rather large don't ya think? You'd take all my power away and make a slave! You'd betray me like all the others!"He began walking toward the figure, electricity surging through his body and his warhammer. His voice became louder and angrier with every step. His rage was now flowing through his system, pulsing through his veins.

{ ATE : The Broker ~ Case of the Warrior : 7 } { The Broker : Realm of Darkness : ??? } The cloaked person tilted their head at Saint's words, still twisted half-away from the replica as if to walk away at any point. Though the man approached with clearly hostile intent, the Broker seemed... utterly unchanged. "Uh, actually, part of the deal comes a large power spike, and a crystal that protects your heart from any uninvited intrusion so long as your will remains unbroken," they said, sounding almost confused. "Neither of which I can revoke. I mean, if I wanted to turn you into a slave, I'd challenge you to a duel, beat you, and actually enslave you. I don't need slaves. I have things for that already."

[ATE : Good Friend 'Captain Morgan' : 4] [Noelle : Disney Castle : Mirage Arena] Noelle had been relaxing in her room after a long day of training, being sure to stretch out her tired muscles and apply heat and cold where necessary. It all felt very similar to when she was training as a martial artist, but every day felt like she'd just taken a six to eight hour belt test. The first couple days were really hard to rebound from physically--and she thought that after all they'd been through she would have been in the right shape for it--but as the time-compressed fake-days went on, it was getting easier. Granted it had only been a week, so time would tell.
In the evenings after training, she had taken to crocheting and cuddling with Pangur Ban, a companion cat she'd requested from Yen Sid. The kitten, sadly, wasn't actually real, just a magic simulation of sorts concocted by the master wizard; however, in the end this didn't matter. Pangur Ban was her sweet kitten to love and cuddle. And much love did she get, not just by her but by any of the others who cared to visit her room to play with Pangur if they hadn't asked for a cat for themselves from Yen Sid. Noelle's door was always open during the day for this reason, among others.
Her door being open was the only reason why she caught Kyle falling on his face. In the brief seconds before, she looked up from her crocheting to the ceiling with uncertainty. What was with all the shuffling up there? And then the shuffling moved downstairs, then to skipping, then--
"Ow." Thud.
Noelle sprang from her bed, nearly sending Pangur into a panic, and hurried toward him. He would have distinctly heard her trying to stifle snorts of laughter.
"Oh my god, are you okay?" She asked as she got to him, only sounding half concerned over the choked back giggles.

Delia called from a tree near the gate, leaning against its trunk in the cool shade, "She's not like a Betelgeuse kind of character . . . or actually, maybe she is, I've never tried."
With a shrug, mainly to herself and the peculiar musing she'd just had, Delia pushed off the tree and walked to the gate, swinging the large trellis door open wide for Ashley, "You were just here the other day, werent'cha? Back for more? I don't blame you, Hati is a saucy lady. Say no more, follow me."
Without waiting for a response, Delia began leading Ashley toward the mansion.

Ashley moved to keep up with the child not entirely sure what to do about the situation. “So… what is your name? You seem to know about me but I don’t remember you the couple times I came here. Although at the time I was…preoccupied.”
At the comments about Hati, Ashley blushed a little bit before shaking her head. “I am back to talk to… Hati I guess is her name now. To chat about recent events.”
