After paying for the loot from the Military Surplus outlet, he had intended to go back hive, but the crowd had other ideas in mind. If crowds could have ideas for individuals, anyway. Deimos found himself getting pushed into the Dry and Wet Goods Megacomplex, with Thypion right behind him. Well, since he was here he might as well look around. Or, maybe, try not to get trampled and pretend to have some semblance of control over the situation. Yep. That'll do.
Following the flow of increasingly violent yet mobile trolls, he at last found some solace among a bunch of markdown hammer pants. Now those looked comfy... Too bad none were in his size. He was about to leave when he spotted the crate. A motorbike. He had absolutely no use for this but whatever, maybe he would later! After his sleeping issues were resolved.
He wrestled the crate over to Thypion and grinned. Thypion's expressions were both meant to be discouraging. Deimos did not care. He found an abandoned cart (oh god, was that blood? on the handle? gross...) and somehow managed to heave the crate into it. Work out for the night: complete.

Rejoining the crowd, he attempted to make his way for the exit again but instead wound up in the candy aisle. Or, well, what he assumed might have been the candy aisle... It was mostly empty. Typical. Feeling the urge for a sugary snack, he picked up the last remaining candy bag.
This looked... old. With a shrug to himself, he tossed it into the cart and kept moving. Thypion decided he would get rid of that later before his charge had a chance to eat any of it...

Almost to the front- he could see the doors! Almost taste freedom! But once again got side-tracked when he spotted a hive surround-sound media system. He had to have it. Some other kid was eyeing it too. Oh hell no. Abandoning his cart with Thypion, Dei skittered forward through a passing crowd of older trolls all fighting over the last box of deluxe lusus treats. He barely managed to snag the box before the other kid made it through. In typical little s**t fashion he stuck his tongue out at them before disappearing back to Thypion's side. Perfect. Now he could listen to his books at an even louder volume.
This time he finally made it to the cashier lines. Perhaps he'd actually get to leave this time.

Or not. Once again, the crowd swept him and Thypion into another shop. A terrible shop. What kind of nonsensical horror shop had he gotten into? He scrunched up his face as he peered around the area, having managed to hide himself in a corner where none of the fighting was going on... yet. Everything here seemed totally uninteresting except... except maybe... those jackets... Yes... Those looked comfortable. He grabbed three of them. Why? He wasn't sure- maybe he'd need three of them.

Hoping that maybe there'd be other gems in this shop, he waded through the crowds, ducking between legs or outright kicking some shins to get through. He didn't stop until he got to the back- wait, wasn't there something bad about being in the back...? He couldn't remember. He picked up a mask. It was a mistake.
Still, he supposed he could... use it for hive security or something. Nail it to the door and just never look at it when he went inside. Yeah.... Mask in hand, he made his way to the front. He wanted out of this whimsical hellspace.

After paying for the horrifying mask and the three jackets, he managed to squeeze back out of the shop and back into the flow of the crowd. This time he didn't even bother trying to break through to get back to the trail back to his hive- he knew it was pointless.
This time the destination was some... tuber...shack... What a joke. People in here were just as violent though- he managed to get hit in the head with some weird vegetable with plastic face pieces. He supposed this could be useful in some way and decided to keep moving through the store.

Slippers. He spotted them from three aisles over. He needed them. The ultimate comfortable footwear item! He didn't even care that they were dumb and shaped like tubers- they were still functional and in his size. Perfect. He held them up for Thypion to see.
Thypion was busy trying to fend off a cart-looter and did not see.

Deimos made his way back to Thypion, though paused to look at some weird root vegetable figures on a shelf. Wait. They weren't figures, they were nesting dolls. Curious, he picked one up and opened it, revealing.... another root vegetable. What was he expecting? He put the doll back together and then turned to go back to Thypion's side. He figured he could use this later. Or something. He definitely wasn't just picking up random things because he could.

He shoved his three prizes into one of Thypion's carrying bags- and then turned to look around again. More slippers! He had to have them. The first pair would only last so long, right? He dodged a pair of shoppers that seemed to be getting into a heated argument over the possession of a couple of root vegetables, then grabbed the slippers. Perfect. Warmth, sweet warmth, would envelop his feet for a little longer.

On his way back to Thypion, he managed to snag another pretend-troll-tuber, because why not. It was then that a wave of need to sleep hit him hard. Blinking and rubbing at his eyes a little, he yawned and then started for the cashiers. Maybe if he got back to his hive quickly enough, he'd be able to get a couple hours of rest! Wouldn't that be splendid. He quickly paid for his items, and then headed out of the store. Once outside, he then pulled some rope out of one of Thypion's carrying bags to secure the motorbike crate to his lusus (much to Thypion's disapproval- he wasn't some pack mule!). Ignoring his lusus's displeasure (it's only for a little while!) he started off for the trail back to his hive. It was a successful if unexpected shopping trip.

After months of hiding out in their hive, Machim had finally had enough of her little greenblood's stir crazy shenanigans and decided to put an end to it by going out for the evening of 12'th Perigee's eve. It seemed just the thing to get little Hazmas back into socializing with people again after his decision to try and wait-out a certain purple blood.
But Machim wasn't going to dwell on that. No, she needed to focus on getting Hazmas out of his head and out of his hive for some fresh air that wasn't filled with the sound of ratchets and power tools or the smell of badly mixed chemicals.
Hazmas on the other hand, was on this side of pouts-ville. He didn't really want to be out and about, but when it came to arguing with Machim, she always won. However, his sour thoughts were soon banished when he saw the store fronts. He'd been expecting something like last year –quiet, peaceful, hardly anything intimidating.
But no, this year the shops had bukled up and it was going to be a challenge to even get one present, let alone an armful.
"Hmm. I don't suppose there's any other way to get them, is there?" he asked glancing at his lusi. She gave a snort and shook her head. Hazmas frowned and looked ahead. "I didn't think so.."

The place was packed with brawling trolls and lusi, but fortunately, Hazmas had just the thing for that. Sprinting with his single large present out of the now fume-ridden megacomplex, Hazmas looked back at his lusus who seemed be only slightly ruffled. For a moment, all he could do was breath and then, after a bit, he started to giggle.
"That... That was..."
'Horrific?' Machim guessed.
"Exhilarating!" Hazmas corrected giddily, beaming. "Lets go again! A different store this time!"
Unfortunately, the crowd in the Military Surplus Outlet was far rowdier than the megacomplex and the young greenblood was barely able to get out with a trio of small presents. His winged lusus was even less than pleased than before and was nursing a trampled fore paw. This... was not as successful a run as he thought it would be.

Determined not to leave without at least 1 good item, Hazmeas slipped back into the store. Shouts and crashes could be heard amidst the clamor as the little troll ducked and wove his way through the store's rabid aisles. However, with a lot of pushing, shoving and jostling, the duo managed to grab a few things and escape without being trampled too badly.
"I am definitely bringing more clogwind with me next time," the little greenblood panted, pocketing his grab. Machim gave an irritated huff of agreement and ruffled her wing feathers. Hazmas frowned and patted his lusus, smoothing her bent and crooked feathers as the pair marched on to the next shop. Hopefully, they'd be able to get in and out without too much trouble. But it was doubtful.
