Somehow having only a few of the lasers still active was more nerve-wracking than if they'd all been in working order. Every time Sascha thought he was in the clear, a burst of light would shoot past his ankles. He found himself inching awkwardly through the hallways just in case. At least if he was going to be doing this, being a straggler meant there would be no witnesses to his clumsy strafing.
And at this point, already rather deep in the tower, the tealblood allowed herself to go over the technical parts of their exploration. What even was happening? Was it common for space towers to suddenly malfunction? It was not like this thing just up and started attacking everyone by itself. Maybe some random troll sabotaged their missions, but she couldn't think of who could. Rebels were her first thought, but she couldn't help but feel that wasn't the case. She was a rebel after all. They would've told them if they were planning something so large scale. HP: 13 HP Military Level Gauntlets Adept Agility Style B Artifact (1) Novice Offensive Style B Trinket (1)

If these were the defenses, how did it look powered down? Would the tiles still be colorful? Or dull? Weird stuff. There had to be a flip side to murder hell. Where were the troll bots supposed to be stationed otherwise? And, really, the lack of a map was weird. No one had any blueprints or anything? And the volunteers were supposed to get everything figured out?
The rebellion was enigmatic, especially Byakko, but they kind of had to be. Here, being so in the dark seriously could get somebody killed. Luxara was surprised no one was complaining about it.
Maybe anyone who had a beef stayed in the dorms. That same troll would have to assume that they'd get to the bomb in time.
A prissy highblood stereotype, that's what you're thinking of.
Likely wouldn't be here, though. She had seen very few hues above Rera's to begin with.

Sascha hadn't even noticed he was being burned until he smelled the familiar, acrid scent of his aramid jumpsuit doing its best to keep him from going up in smoke entirely. He almost casually sidestepped out of the way of an errant laser. He was gettin' real sick of this establishment's repeated attempts to set him on fire.
Akkira Kagome + tekemom are fighting the HALF CONSTRUCTED TOWER and are going RIGHT.
Tekkemom - 40/40
dealt 2 damage
There was no way Akkira was going to just stay down, even though she had been told before that the tower was no place for her, that just fueled her fire even more. It was more than just her pride on the line though, she had her Lusus right over her shoulder judging every move that she made. Every action she took. She couldn't just let all those good for nothings do everything for her, in all honesty she was terrified, knowing that she was going to possibly end up harmed in more way than one.
The screeching of metal and the whirring of machinery was everywhere as she entered, it was extremely hard to pinpoint any of the other trolls, but off she went, her hand on the wall. Tekemom gave a disapproving howl. "It's just so I can feel the vibrations! it wouldn't do us any good to go the wrong way, right? just... just trust me, okay....."
And Byakko wouldn't want to kill them for no reason. They were rather strong-- one glance at any of them could prove that. Especially the teams she was in! Etsali, Rasali, Luxara, and even Aerona were trolls with amazing talent, even though she wanted something intensely bad to happen to Aerona, she didn't know what, as long as it was something she couldn't recover from. Forera clenched her jaw, deciding to pull her attention away from such thoughts, or at least, use them to fuel her aching desire to smash EVERY THING in the space ladder to the stars. Lack of highbloods, though she did feel a general assumption that most would go over to Civisect. Better flier and promises and all. Plus, gaudy Civisect. How quickly they forget it was a war zone if they make it pretty enough. No one on that side was any better. She'd have to check in with the rebels who worked on Civisect side for any scoops later.
But the highbloods could have bombed them. Chittentown was doing so well, and she had heard that their own facilities had been hit pretty nastily during the competition.
Though, the Snakes probably were responsible for riling them up. Whoops.
A bomb on the ladder was pretty intense, though. Would it be too big for an entitled brat to pull off?

Caiden is attacking Half-constructed Tower Hp:13/20 Damage Dealt: Power Novice Agility A 1/1
Caiden walked along the dark, ominous hallways. Well truthfully they were fairly well lit and clean, but they still felt ominous. Caiden heard the footsteps of the other members of his party. In fact, the group of travelers had gotten significantly larger. Where at the start there had been 4 or 5 trolls, now there were more like 8 or 9. The larger group made the brownblood feel less alone, he also started to fear a trap. Maybe it was Engrav rubbing off on him, but the brownblood worried that with all these trolls close together, they were like fish in a barrel. Caiden shook his head. This was important! He couldn't let thoughts like those get to him.

Sascha had managed to lose track of what floor he was even on. Windows weren't exactly a high priority on this rush project to get a rocket into space. Coupled with the heat of walking up so many flights of stairs, Sascha was beginning to feel slightly claustrophobic.
Maybe if he was lucky, the rogue AI would blow a hole in the wall.
It was exciting to navigate this place-- If not deadly! But that was the fun of it. (Kinda.) They had managed to run into a dead end or two at this point, and while she didn't mind traveling and rushing through the halls of the rooms, the tealblood couldn't shake the feeling that there was some sort of a plot to all of this. She avoided thinking about it too much though, trying to focus on the task at hand, but the anxiety was still there, a seed planted like the rest of her thoughts. She needed to find more things to think of. Like, uhh.... HP: 13 HP Military Level Gauntlets Adept Agility Style B Artifact (1) Novice Offensive Style B Trinket (1)

This was supposed to be such an easy mission. Infiltrate, grab some stuff, slip back out. Nothing big. Actually, it was kind of a vacation in a way. Out of the swamp for a bit, hanging out with buds, wrecking some stuff and running off scot-free. No politics. Just a good old competition. She kind of wished it hadn't gone wrong. But then maybe it wouldn't be as exciting that way. Not as much adrenaline when nothing was threatening your life! And, maybe, they could pick up some tips on security defenses.
Though maybe not robots. They weren't doing so hot.

This was getting ridiculous. Sascha was certain he hadn't been that late to the party that he'd managed to get left behind by literally everyone else in the building. There had certainly been other trolls passing through just moments earlier. Some of the scorch marks were still glowing.
Sascha managed to pause his grumbling long enough to allow himself to listen for sounds of other trolls in the distance.

Boss Attack
You arrive at dead end, with three doors lining the hall on either side. Only, the wall in front of you looks suspiciously different from the ones on either side. Hmm. You decide to poke around before you turn around and head back.
If you rolled a 1, you open the first door on the left, and are dogpiled by a bunch of troll-bots that pour out of small janitorial cupboard and onto you. Take 4 dmg, and 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 2, you open the third door on the right, and immediately try and close it again as a swarm of robotically enhanced bees pour out. Well, it's just three of them but with their laser sights and reloading stingers, three is enough to make these bees a swarm. Take 3 dmg, and 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 3, you open the second door on the left, but fail to see anything in the darkness that the room beyond contains. Stepping forward to get a better look, the door slams behind you, and something in the dark starts to viciously pinch you black and blue. Take 2 dmg, and 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 4, you open the third door on the left and get hit with a giant spring-loaded mallet. Behind it however, is a power switchboard for this hall. If you turn it off, the fake wall ahead of you recedes back into the ceiling. Success! Take 4 dmg and deal +2 damage.
If you rolled a 5, you open the second door on the right and see a small cupboard, with a laser grid blocking access to the computer monitor inside, where a program is running. Wriggling your arm through a hole in the grid and bearing the burns, you can get close enough to bash on the screen until it breaks, and the fake wall ahead of you recedes back into the ceiling. Success! Take 3 dmg and deal +2 damage.
If you rolled a 6, you open the first door on the right and get hit with a water balloon - hilarious! However, it's filled with tear gas. After you get your vision back, you see a plug running from a hole in the wall to a power socket in the small cupboard behind the door, and unplug it. The fake wall ahead of you recedes back into the ceiling. Success! Take 2 dmg. flavour text here. Your attack does double damage.
Mahmud HADILL SESHAT is fighting the HALF CONSTRUCTED TOWER, and is going UP
Another troll was in here.
Why that was surprising, he did not know. After all, all trolls were called to arms to try and stop this rogue threat. That didn't mean that Mahmud had seen one up until now, however. Yet here they were: A purpleblooded teenager, walking far ahead of him down the same hallway. Cold dread flooded his stomach, and made his fingertips run icy. This guy could seriously kick his a** if he wanted to, if he got on the wrong side. Harpommy was here, sure, but it didn't mean he wanted to deal with that. No, it was just best to stand back here and wait. Maybe he could gather some useful information from afar...
Just as finished his thoughts, however, a comical pile of troll bots fell onto the older troll and started attacking. What. The ever loving HELL. "OH MY GOG THERES MORE OF THEM?" His words were out barely a second before Mahmud slapped both hands against his mouth. Good job being stealthy, a*****e! Now he'd be a jerk if he DIDN'T help.
Ah well, to be honest he was starting to really hate robots so it would be an honor to attack them at this point.
Harpommy and Mahmud ran over to Rastin and started trying to peel robots off the other troll, kicking and screaming and cooing various obscenities while doing so. There was blood; oh yes, Mahmud had a few turn onto him. There was violence, violence that a child shouldn't be able to demonstrate. A few robots beep booped. It was awesome.
During the fight though, the little boy kept screaming over and over again at his new companion "ARE YOU OKAY?". It was hard to hear an answer over all the adrenaline rushing through his system, and the metallic complaining of these gog damned robots. Hopefully, he wouldn't have to fight them alone for long.

WAS THIS OKAY oh god let me know if you need more or anything
