A grin spread on her face, the flirtations at this table went every which way and then some. It was somehow incredibly freeing and relaxing, which was strange. She'd flirted; between galas in search of money for company and cons, it could be a second skin. However, it was rarely enjoyable like this. Usually it was for show, not quite distasteful but worn old and cliched. With these three, it seemed there was actually something there; whether it was attraction or escapism or a bond, she didn't know. Not yet.
"Good for the body, that's for sure," she added, before turning to look at Rasmus, cheek propped on her palm.
She couldn't be sure what event--or was it more than one--that had brought her to Hermes attention. It could have been her ballet, her small stature or agility, more than likely, she thought, it was a successful con of some kind. Whether she wanted to admit that, just yet, to these three... Oddly, she felt if she took the leap, it'd be well received, but still, nothing wrong with having a few secrets.
"Resourceful, limber, always up for a challenge," Marisol listed off some qualities that might have gotten her noticed, alluding to both of her jobs. And probably adding a whole slew of ideas considering the conversation's levity and playfulness.

Table 4
Performed? Ha!
Zebulon knew it, he had this guy's number. This Zan fellow was clearly some kind of comedian. Or at least some kind of fast-talking performer. That description sounded like a con artist.
He twirled his spoon between his fingers before going back to eating, eyes flickering between Zan and back to Diryas when the question was turned back around. A small smirk edged on his lips, and he asked in what was a vaguely mocking tone, "Yeah, what is it that you do, Diryas?"
He placed one hand under his chin and fluttered his eyelashes for effect. (That effect being annoying the person next to him, probably.)
There were all sorts of sharks swimming in the undercurrents today it seemed. What fun to be had! It was pleasant to not have an end goal to the day's conversation. Not a reflection on the charming guests, there was nothing he wanted or needed from them at this immediate time. He had luxurious time to cultivate relationships with each person independent from what usefulness they could bring to him. And if their paths cross in the future or if their gods brought them to opposite sides or shores, there was an effortless ease to it all.
"Ah, so we have a fighter, a quick and surefooted one" the latter was said with a wink" and "the sultry siren. Aphrodite doesn't strike me as one to rest on her laurels. Always after the next big thing or shiny golden apple, my voracious appetite must align with hers."
He looked down at his plate in mock surprise, "though I do wish it was time for desserts. I hope they're not on that health kick. Indulgences are to be shared."

Table 5
"You're one to talk, Rasmus." Rose arched a careful brow at the blue gentleman, vaguely amused. She was pleased the others were playing along, but she wasn't going to let the other do all the asking and have nothing to share with the group in turn.
Her food was fairly forgotten, blue eyes sliding from Cas with an appreciative smile to Marisol, noting her answer with a curious tilt of her head. Yet still, Rasmus didn't give much away, her eyes turning over him with a thoughtfulness. It was an interesting bunch at the table - one who seemed private, one who was open, and one who skirted the line. Most intriguing indeed.
"Apollo thanks you," she replied with laughter in her tone. Sultry siren. She might argue a finesse or projecting a certain way, but she'd not have paired those two words to describe herself. Leave it to the Aphroditian to conjure that image. "Your appetite is surely admirable, if it was thus that turned her eyes to you. But, depending on how well we all play together, I wouldn't be above making dessert if it's not offered." Her smile dimpled subtly, her gaze at ease; it was wordplay, but the offer to extend their time together was in earnest. "I wouldn't want any of us to end our evening unfulfilled."

Table 4
Diryas was busy mentally cataloging Zan's answers when it was turned around to him. The fact that Zeb immediately made him the center of questioning instead of answering himself was not lost on Diryas, and he looked up at him with a face devoid of expression. Except, perhaps, for the barest twitch upward of his eyebrows.
Really?
Zebulon batting his eyelashes made Diryas snort. He couldn't resist leaning into Zeb just enough to quickly pinch at his side. The other man was normally quite incorrigible. This was something Diryas was well aware of and very much used to. It seemed, however, that the amount of people around them was making Zeb that much more incorrigible.
"I'm a chemist," he offered simply, before leaning his head on one hand and tilting his face up towards Zebulon for a moment, giving him an exaggerated blink. He pinched Zeb again before elaborating to the others, "toxicologist, specifically."

Table 3
Tom shrugged. "I figured we would be protected somehow. I mean it wouldn't be the best idea to go to the time of the black plague or something if there was a huge chance of death." He replied to the girl's question before taking a few more bites of his meal. He was so glad this would be better than the cafeteria food he had been having to deal with all these years.
Hospital food was even worse, and not just for the patients. He smiled a bit at his tablemates. "Tom Wolf, chosen of Apollo, though I don't really look like it do I?" He gave a bit of a smile before chuckling a bit at Robin. "That would be fun, and then you could use whatever it was to travel through time to get away every time they were about to catch you." The corner of his mouth turned up a bit as Robin complimented the wine. Well, Robin definitely seemed like a Dionysus chosen.
He gave a slight nod to Robin for the wine. "Sure, usually I don't drink if I have a job but since I'm still looking for one, might as well enjoy it right?" He looked over to Mercy. "Go ahead and try, if you want. I have no problems with it."

Table Two
Sylvia smiled noticing that the girl she’d joined was admiring her hair. “Do you like it? I thought it was a fun look,” she nodded at the admirer, “I really like your pink, it’s a lovely shade.” She’d done a deeper pink in her own hair at some point, but she appreciated the rosier tone of this girl’s pink. It really was a pretty shade.
Sylvia nodded at Lincoln’s introductions, “Very nice to meet you both.” Before she could say anything further, another joined their table. Blue-green eyes gave her a once-over, and Sylvia quirked a brow and offered a smile and a nod. This girl’s style was very different from her own, but she wore it well.
“We’d just gotten past names. I didn’t even notice that there,” Sylvia furrowed her brows at the ball and then reached out to pick it up and look it over. She gave it a considerate frown as she scanned some of the questions, “Mmm, ‘getting to know you’ questions. Shall we actively choose, or try to spin it somehow and land on one by chance?” She placed the ball back on a clear space on the table and gave it a little spin as a sort of test…

Table 5
Marisol quirked a brow at Rasmus, he seemed to be all questions and few answers of his own. It was intriguing and yet she found herself amused that he'd somehow consumed a slice of pie--blueberry if she remembered correctly--and already forgotten it. Not that she had any intention of bringing it up; she liked the idea of spending more time with these three, as Rose had suggested.
"Dessert sounds scintillating," she admitted with a grin before turning to the blue-haired man beside her. Thus far he seemed to be the one asking all the questions; now seemed like a good time to put him on the hot seat.
"But first, you've asked a lot a questions of us, why don't we ask you some?" She waited to see what Rasmus's reaction would be. If he'd go for it and, if so, what the three of them might ask.

Table 4
Two Athena guys batting their eyes and nudging each other. Zan continued jamming information into his mental file as he took another bite, nodding at Diryas's response.
"I am almost a hundred percent sure I've never met a toxicologist. Or two toxicologists, right? Two toxicologists from Maryland. Sorry if this is too personal for either of you, but are there a lot of marinas down there? And do either of you own a yacht?" He couldn't let this go until he was definitively proven wrong.

Table 4
To some extent, Zebulon was hoping that throwing the question directly onto Diryas would throw the attention off of him, but it seemed that Zan was a little too sharp for that. Noted. Of course, if he was a performer, he had to be able to think on his feet, right? Hmm.
Playfully, Zebulon winked at Diryas and quickly stuck his tongue out before swinging his head back towards Zan. He was about to make a flat comment asking how Zan had guessed it was two, but then he asked if he owned a yacht.
He burst out laughing.
Apparently, the answer was no.
When he found his composure after about a good ten seconds, he shook his head. "There's plenty of marinas in Maryland I'm sure, but neither of us own a yacht." He felt comfortable enough saying that. "I've certainly passed a few yachts in my time. Seen them in the water anyway. They're fancy." He forked up some food from his plate. "Toxicology isn't exactly fancy."

Table 4
"It pays enough to be comfortable. A yacht is beyond "comfortable"." To be honest, Diryas wouldn't mind a boat at some point, being quite comfortable on the water with the necessary precautions, but neither one of them had yet felt the need to rearrange their finances to pay for one. And either way, a yacht would be unnecessarily extravagant. "There are many marinas, yes. Annapolis and Baltimore are very busy. Annapolis has boat races."
He actually enjoyed watching the boat races, whenever they were in Annapolis.
