"Alright then" She spoke up, moving with the others into the hospital and taking a look around. Okay so stay silent and don't 'speak'. Easy enough, even though Melody was once again a sobbing mess.
Ugh.
But she remained near the door, as quiet as a mute could be until she heard Zephyr's joke. A frown appearing on her face as she stared him down.
Challenge Accepted.
She stepped out of the hospital, making her way to the Van. Opening the driver's door and taking a seat inside. Oh hey the engine was still on. Uh... she... she didn't know what to do. The car was too heavy to life telekinetically and she was at a loss of how to operate.
Okay, deep breaths. Lets try one of these pedals. Nope, nothing from the left one. What about the ri-VROOOOOOOOM
"Nope, nope, nope" She could be heard, immediately making her way back out of the car. Nope!

Melody looked to Zephyr as he praised her, worry still plain on her face as she nodded slowly. His words, though from a stranger, somehow helped even the smallest bit to keep calm. She filled out the paperwork and did as he instructed for the insurance. Melody finished and moved back over to the window to give them the paperwork.
"Thank you, it will still be some time, but we will call you back when she's ready to be seen."
Melody bowed slightly and moved back over to where she had been sitting. Taking a seat, she looked to Zephyr, she stared at him.
'Who is he?'
'His name is Zephyr.. we grew up together as kids.'
'And that's reason enough to trust him? Someone you knew way over 20 years ago? Syth would be mad at you for such a haphazard notion. Why do you really trust him?'
'That's not exactly important right now, Melody. Honestly, he had a reason for coming in disguised as his brother playing a doctor from Spectrum.. maybe you should focus on that, hmm?'
Melody sighed and narrowed her eyes in pain at Zephyr. "Explain." she spoke suddenly. "Explain to me why you were pretending... and why you were at SIU..." she appeared to be getting angry, but it was only a slight difference from her usual self, only shown in a very slightly sterner voice and furrowed brows that showed how she demanded an answer. "...you mentioned being a mercenary... Zephyr,...... are you the mercenary who seduced Hexxis?"
'Oh my god, Melody... you don't just ask people if they-... what the actual s**t, Melody!!'

"Explain...."
Turning to look at Melody as she started to speak, Zephyr fell silent to listen to her, understanding where she was coming from, more so from the first question. Though, as she asked the second, he seemed a little startled by that - who even told her? Taking in a breath, he leaned back in the chair, running his hand through his mess of hair. "Well, I guess I'll answer the second one first. I will state I did not seduce her, she joined me out of her own free will. She had been trying to contact me for a week, so when I went to talk to her, she seemed interested in just finding out more information on specific topics, so I told her that the best way to find out more information would be to either research...or find it out on your own through actually doing it." he paused, his right hand digging into his pocket to take out the team ID that he had gotten with her - it had both of their pictures - hers labeled as Zero though.
Pausing, he handed it over to Melody to look at it, "We ended up taking the team test a couple hours before I was supposed to meet and talk with her father - but, things happened and it didn't go as planned. I told her that she could go back to them if she so chose, but when she left the meeting spot and they followed her, something..didn't seem quite right. So I followed her." Zephyr took in another breath and let out a sigh, clearly distraught, "After what I saw there, I couldn't just..." he paused again, clearly in a lot of emotional distress, "I wanted to make sure that she was okay...so I had come up with the plan to make sure that she was going to be okay - which is why I ended up at SIU - but she's..." Zephyr stopped again, but this time didn't seem to continue. There was a pain in his voice and his expression, one that was genuine.

Melody narrowed her eyes as he began to explain. So he was the mercenary the Hexxis was found with, though he claimed it was of her own free will.. doubtful. Hexxis was calculating and predictable, there was no way she would have willingly joined a mercenary.. Tri and Mara would never had approved of it. As he continued, she didn't see how her looking for information and his answer to it was relevant. Passively shaking the thought to continue to listen to the rest, her face still stern until he pulled out the team ID and blinked, looking down at it. She stares at it for longer than she needed to as her stern look dropped into a frown and a concerned expression.
As Zephyr continued, she watched his face, clearly showing his distress.
'He cares about Hexxis?... So he came to make sure she was okay...'
She ignored the question, the answer too obvious to regard it now. As his voice trailed off, she looked away with pain in her eyes as she slowly handed back the ID. "This wasn't supposed to happen... Mara was supposed to be helping her... getting the transfer to Haven removed and making her better... but this... none of this was supposed to happen..." she looked like she might start crying again, her expression full of anguish. "We'll find a way to get her back... We know about Kage... he used to be apart of SIU until he ran off with a prisoner and ki-..." she paused. Okay, maybe now is not the best time to mention that Kage was involved in Hexxis dying once before. That wouldn't make anything better. "Kae is arriving in the morning, and she'll help us with getting her back." she assured then sighed. Melody felt so helpless about it all as there was nothing else she could do but sit and wait.

Zephyr took back the id and put it in his picket, listening to Melody speak, he nodded a little, though when she mentioned Kae, he seemed to flinch. "Ooh man. I'll..have to pick up the disguise again, then. She and I don't really see eye to eye because of past...issues." he chuckled uneasily and rubbed the back of his head and let out a sigh, hoping that Kae would at least be okay with seeing Kees - he was the lesser known of the two brothers thanks to his item and general sense of ignoring people - so maybe he would get along with her better as him. "I really..just - I want Hexxis to be okay. I know I don't have the best track record when it comes to relationships but.. I've changed a lot.." he mumbled, looking down to his left wrist to where a small gold bell tattoo was, a copy of the one that he kept with him in his pocket.
"She means a lot to me."

She seemed slightly concerned as Zephyr mentioned not getting along with Kae as she frowned slightly. She couldn't say much on that, just nodding silently instead.
'Ha.. I don't know anyone who really sees eye to eye with my mother.. but you know..'
She listened to him mumble about Hexxis some more as she looked away frowning even more. "I was never really close to Hexxis... She was always locked up in her room because she was dangerous when we were still kids. The only time I got to be around her was when her malice was forced to take over for a week... after that, she was scarce again, confined to her room." she spoke calmly, thinking back on the little time she had spent with Hexxis. "Ree came to break us all out back when that bad human was in charge, but he only managed to save Hexxis while Leukos and I ended up getting caught." taking a steady breath, "Before she left, Ashral told me if you have something worth fighting for, then you fight for it. Even Hexxis said she had something to protect, even if it was the only thing she had ever wanted in her life..." she inhaled sharply, holding back a sob. "When she came back... it was like all of that was gone... she wasn't Hexxis anymore... and even Ashral was gone... " she looked to Zephyr, a distraught but determined look in her eyes. "But you know what, Hexxis is worth fighting for. Ashral too. So we won't give up. I'll talk to Kae when she arrives and see what can be done. There has to be some way to save her. And I'll tell you what I find out." she nodded and forced a smile.
"Melody Gold, we are ready to take you back now... Both of you, if you're ready."
"You don't have to go with me.. I'll stay with Mara. It might be best if you take Syth to get a hotel room and rest for tonight. We can reassess what can be done in the morning when Kae gets here." she moved to stand and followed the nurse back into the hallways of the hospital towards Mara's room regardless of whether Zephyr followed or not.

"I should go deal with Syth and get hotel room..." he stood up and stretched, "I'll give you my phonenumber to call.. oh- and some cash so you can get yourself some food, hospital food sucks a**." Zephyr dug through his pocket, took out a crumpled wad of money and a small note that he quickly wrote down his number on before handing it over. The wad of cash was about 100$ in twenties, allowing for easy breaking of the bills if need be. "You be safe, okay?" he asked, smiling a little sadly before walking out to the front of the hospital and walking over to the van.
Looking at Syth, he walked to the drivers side door, "Melody is staying at the hospital, I gave her my number to call if need be and about a hundred in cash to get food because the food here sucks a**. We're going to get a hotel room - and no not for that, because ******** no in many ways and many reasons." he sat down in the car and closed the door, "We need a place to stay that has better security than that place right now, so I have a couple in mind."

"Gross" Was the only response she had to his track. Staying silent, still trying to get over the fact that the car had scared the ever living s**t out of her.
Security...
"We're fine on security right now. The biggest concern I have is with you but that's beyond that. Kage came for Hexxis, Kage got Hexxis, so he's not a concern right now. And in all honestly I wouldn't bother getting Hexxis back."
"I have no objections to getting a place to stay at. However the new SIU facility has nothing of value left to obtain. Its leader is being hospitalized and myself and melody are currently guests. Lick our wounds and figure something out," She only took a deep breath as she reclined the passenger seat she was in. Staring up at the ceiling of the car, "If melody if ready to be picked up I can take care of it. While capable, you're not a threat."
Her mind was more focused on other thoughts right now. Being outside gave her some time to think. Better security, what her position should be, learning about how those suits worked. Getting acquainted with the world was hard.
"I miss the Academy." She thought aloud.
