KisaThere weren't a great many demons left in his wake, though, and Kisa enjoyed the brief respite for what it was. Unfortunately, she didn't really have time to relax, and directed her demons into a better formation as they headed into the main part of the city. Until now, they'd just been on the outskirts, but... well, she had to check on this area sooner or later. KisaShe had no idea what the World Serpent was actually doing around here, but as it happened, he was active with something, and gave her another laugh from a distance, as if daring her to come closer... which she did not bother to do. She needed more of a force to take on someone like that, and was grimly determined to get one. KisaA few other demons had tried to take advantage of the distraction offered by her focus on Jorm, but were quickly intercepted by Lakshmi as she swerved to intercept them. She was getting pretty good at that, really... at this rate, she might actually become a true heavyweight in Kisa's growing force... which could only be a good thing. KisaThe good news? There were plenty of other demons for her to kill, and she was more than willing to do so as she darted away from the area the Trumpeter was blasting. That particular demon seemed to be taking an all-too-vengeful glee in bombarding everywhere she could... and they REALLY had to do something about him. KisaFutomimi darted out a moment later, intercepting an attack that had been directed her way. Without hesitating, Kisa snapped around and punched the attacker straight in the chest, breaking its bones and sending it tumbling to the ground. That had cost her a bit of precious energy, but at least she was continuing to save up... and she could feel herself getting closer to her goal. She was still upset about being weaker than usual, but she'd managed to substitute for her lost strength by borrowing the power of her companions.  Kansei Ribasu "AND LET THAT BE A LESSON TO NOT MESS WITH ME!!" It seemed not even the end of the world could put a damper on Kansei's temper, instead only stoking it. She slammed her foot onto the last cellphone one of those bandit cretins dropped, ensuring it couldn't be used again. She hated to admit it but that odd demon from that last encounter had saved her life. Being in debt to someone like that irked her but it could be a lot worse. She could be dead after all. Kou Nekata, Lion of the Bad Future
"Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER.""Left, right, whatever. We are where we are," Kou sighed as he tapped his bat against the asphalt, walking slowly towards the tower far off in the distance. It was going to take a little while to get there, he could already gather, but he wasn't too worried about it. Together with his twin brother and sister, there was no threat that particularly bothered him. And even if this world was trashed, he didn't see any signs of the Corruption. Death wasn't scary. Not really. The idea of being Corrupted, puppeted and left bereft of his own free will...a prisoner, mindless, left to do harm to the people that you loved and cherished rather than to simply die and rot away for failing...that was scary. In his opinion, this sort of apocalypse was weak. And the demons that bothered them as they went so far were of little consequence. He could even see bandits slowly backing into alleys as the two mischievous-looking twins moved down the street. It almost made him laugh, the eyes that averted from them would no doubt stop and stare at his sister when she passed them by, too. Cowards and useless bastards were all the same, really. Too bad they didn't understand the true terror of their trio wasn't in the two who protected her, but that the two of them protected others from her.
Speaking of...
"Hey, Kyouko..." he turned and glanced over his shoulder, seeing with a rather nonplussed expression that their beautiful little sister had wandered away somewhere along the road and was now completely missing! Shooting a glare in the direction of his 'twin', he palmed his forehead in exasperation. "Oh, brother...where is our dear sister? ...Weren't you supposed to be watching her?" he spoke in a somewhat chill, somewhat frustrated tone, "...We're never going to get to the Tower at this rate." He sighed and glanced for a moment at the Tower, before turning off towards the side he guessed she would go to and heading towards an alley. He didn't wait for Kyou's response, knowing he'd probably just deny it and blame him, instead. But everybody knew that Kou was the responsible one. Couldn't be his fault. Probably.
