Extra info: I'm no trans, but I'm just as different and, in a way, unaccepted by all but the most caring people.
I'm what's called a high functioning TBI in the medical realm. TBI= Traumatic Brain Injury. High Functioning= I can operate with little to no problem in the world/society.
I got this from being deprived of oxygen when I was 21 months old. What I have is brain damage. I've had it my whole life. In a way, it's kindof like the trans people feel a little bit. I can relate a bit. When people learn that I am not perfect, some of them shoot me down.
I have more limits then most people, but also have a better attitude about my limits then others.
High functioning TBI is very, very rare. I am extraordinarily lucky to be alive and as well off as I am.
For this reason, I don't fit in. Most TBI's I've met are low functioning, or not even self-aware.

My limits are extensive, but not something the average person thinks twice about.
Really, my disability is not bothersome at all. I have no choice in the matter. So I enjoy life as it is.


The problems that bother me are: I am a very feeling oriented person. My emotional range is a bit different then yours. When it gets to extremes, I am not capable of keeping myself contained. I take pills for this.
Retarded? Yes. I'm slow. But also pretty quick. You really have to know me pretty damn well to figure this one out.
Name-calling is something I never understood. Names don't bother me at all.
Aha! Yes. Abstract concepts are something I can't comprehend. Like God. I don't like God.
I don't drive and don't hold a job or go to school. mentally and emotionally I can't handle the pressures of school/job. I can only hod a part-time position.

I just know my limits. and I'm friends with them. Some might not like them, but that's ok, because I do.
Another one that gets in the way a lot is my honesty. #1. I am absolutely unable to steal or lie. #2. My honesty is...horrifyingly brutal. haha. I also can't keep secrets. Just a warning. If one chooses to speak to me, ...they're guaranteed unable to deal with my comments. It would be hilarious, if it wasn't so sad.

I am not physically disabled in any way.
I was also mentally, emotionally, verbally and psychologically abused. I was manipulated. That was lots of fun. Trust me, I know how to use words and voice to get what I want. I'm even better then the teacher.

I know I kindof overshared here. Talking and oversharing is just what I do. smile Brain damage thing, but whatevs. I like it.
