Nuawahn post 1 "ZURI!!!" came the joyous cry. A young wind man came racing through the crowd at the Ice-shifter woman, arms open for a running tackle-hug. He was so happy to see his friend, the nice older woman who was super smart and strong. He was very aware he was in Oba. He'd been here before, his wandering feet had often led him here, but it held many bad memories for him. He found himself flinching from the sudden appearances of Oban faces in the crowd, tensing at their raised voices, and more nervous than he liked being. So when he saw the woman - a familiar and protective force in his life - of course he ran to her with open arms and a childish grin of delight. "Yay! You're here!" he exclaimed... a pet dino I didn't want to describe the tackleglomp before giving her a chance to evade lol

Volkarosh post 1Volkarosh awaited her fight, staying off to the side of the crowd. Not in it, of course, but outside. Watching. It was hard to get used to so many people in one place, at one time, alive and breathing. She'd spent so long with just her and Lashy that it was just strange to her that such a place - that so many people - could actually exist like this. It was baffling. It was amazing. Her hungry mind gathered information, her darting eyes captured small movements. She sat and observed the variety of people, and learned about their lives, her face a neutral mask of concentration. And then someone appeared, someone not quite like the others. Dark skin, purple hair, with a glow to their eyes that was not the sun's doing. They were small, a mere child, and they stood out in the crowd. What were they? Were they... stealing? She couldn't tell. Volka wanted to know, and there was only one certain way to do that. Decision made, Volkarosh wandered over, arms crossed, her black eyes intense. "Are you buying those?" she asked calmly.

Wahashi Post 1
Quickly he made his way through the crowds, giving each individual who came too close and once over to determine their threat level. Mentally he berated himself for even doing this. It was too loud, too congested and far too foreign to him. So much so that his stomach twisted into knots and he could almost taste the bile the was steadily creeping it's way up.
Breathe. Breathe. Breathe.
Was the mantra that he repeated over and over in his head to keep from folding over and spilling the content of his stomach onto the ground. He needed room, needed a secluded area to breathe and collect himself. Too much was going on and too quickly for his liking. That and seeing so many different faces and foreign features was both a massive culture shock and sensory overload. Quickly he bobbed and weaved between those passing bye until finally he was able to break free from the activity and retreat to a vacant spot shaded by a nearby tree.
"I can't believe I stowed away on a boat for this." He silently muttered to himself in between deep and calming breathes.

Zuri Post 2 Zuri had no time to respond as Nuawahn came flying her way. As distracted by the smell of food as she was she didn't even notice someone coming towards her. However she did have time to make sure her feet were planted firmly in the ground and her arms open for the hug, otherwise she might've ended up on the floor. "Hello Nuawahn, I didn't know you would be here! Are you fighting?" She asked in a concerned voice. The last time they had been together they had been running from monsters from Yael and she didn't think he really had it in him to fight anything. She would feel much better if he didn't fight, but that was the mother in her and since she wasn't his actual mother if he wanted to fight there was nothing she could do.

Ilyra Post 2
At hearing Dyakida's voice Ilyra's face lit up and she spun around to face the direction that she heard it coming from. "There you are." She said to herself as she headed towards the woman's weapons stall. Of course when she got there she had to look at everything. Even though she loved her now she thought all of the things that Dyakida made were just so beautiful. Beautiful and deadly, what better combination was there? "Any biters yet? I'm sure people will be breaking their weapons in the fights, so you'll get customers over time since all the fights are spaced out." that was in addition to the people milling about, or those who wanted a better weapon before they fought. Yes Dya was going to make good money here.

Nadiya Post 1
She thrived on the energy that radiated from such a large group of people. Bouncing around on the balls of her feet the petite girl darted in between groups as she made her way through the stands. She hadn't felt the most comfortable in Oba, but in this situation she could stare at amazement with all the different earthlings she encountered. How awesome! Resisting the urge to squee the rogue held onto her flute as she made her way through.
Perhaps there was a place where she could gather with other musicians?
She could play, but she was rather enjoying watching everyone interact....
[Anyone who wants to interact with her feel free to quote me. <3]

Kieran - Post 1
A cloaked figure moved through the masses. Since coming to the mainland months ago Kieran found that the other earthlings weren't quite capable of the curses that he had heard about in the stories.Rather he was more intrigued, if not a bit resentful, of how they seemed to just go about their daily lives without a care for the spirits. And how his stomach still curled when he saw an alkidike...even though he had learned that these were not the extremist women from Yael, the male was still tense around them. As long as they didn't get in his way for his quest of knowledge then he could tolerate them. After all how was he to fight here?
A silver head peeked out from underneath his cloak with a light hiss, "Ssh, Aia." Kieran reached a hand out and rubbed the smooth scales of his keldari's head, "It's alright." Keeping his hood low the Yaeli twisted through the crowds with a frown. Perhaps it was bold coming here, but his curiosity once more had gotten the best of him. At least he hadn't been foolish enough to fight.Though a sudden noise did catch his attention. Hearing gasps from several earthlings the male raised an eyebrow. What caused such a commotion?
I suppose there's only one way to find out...
Turning on his heel the male went to investigate.

Itotia 2
Silver, ever fading eyes moved slowly around as she listened to the whispers. The benefit to having her hood down was that many moved away from her, which was a bit of a confidence boost. Slowly, she was finding power in the apparent fear in the mainlanders, and slowly losing her own fear in their actions. So far, the only person who really attacked her had been removed from her life, so she was settled in and enjoying the almost god-like surprise all of these colorful mainlanders had on her appearance.
Turning, she glanced at Aseara as the other joined her side, and waved her hand lightly, "Your Oban heat is as unbearable as always..." She said softly before her brow furrowed and she caught sight of her shifter shadow. She made no move in any sort of direction, at east with Kresimir's presence in her life. She could tolerate Aseara, Nuri, their children and the dancers because she saw them on a daily basis and knew their strengths. Kresimir was the only outsider in her life that had some semblance of trust.
"Aseara, this is Kresimir. Kresimir, Aseara." She responded softly, glancing about a moment before looking back at the man before her, "Are you joining the tournament?"

Kauffpost two
"Guess a name?" he murmured as Klaas made his way over. Kauff had come up with his share of nicknames for those he had just met, but he'd never just tried guessing. Heh. He smiled once he had swallowed, still looking out over the tournament grounds. Wait. Was that Xariy? Fighting an Alkidike? He sat up straighter for a moment, then forced himself back to lounging. She could take care of herself, but he would definitely be watching her do so with... interest. Yes. That's what he'd call it.
Finally turning to properly face his new seatmate, Kauff noticed the young man's focus on his miniature banquet before he noticed the mask. He pushed several of the items closer to the Oban, the ones he had only purchased because the person selling them had been above average in the looks department. "Help yourself. I don't know what half of them are. And you're right. I would be fighting, I'm just not. No weapon at the moment. How about you?" As an afterthought, he added, "I'm Kauff."

Nuri 1
Nuri was prepping for his round, and unfortunately could not take the time to find his wife. He knew Aseara was there, but the question was where would she be? He really wished he could find her before his fight, maybe just to get a favor and a good luck kiss. A slow smirk crossed his face at the thought, as he was sure Aseara would enjoy such an action.
It was a pity that the children couldn't attend, as he knew they all would be so excitable about such a location. However, he was wise enough not to question his wife, and so he accepted that he would need to tell them tales upon his return to make up for it.
Walking about the edge of the ring and looking at the stands, he caught sight of a Matori wandering about. She seemed aware, so he figured it wouldn't hut to ask if she might have seen his wife, especially since she appeared to be a musician.
"Excuse me, do you have a moment?"

Ondine Post 1
Ondine was on top of the world, excited and ready to take on the tournament. Her parents, bless their hearts, didn't really support such activity, but she was determined and really didn't bother listening to their warnings. She felt more than ready thanks to her many sessions with the locals in their miniature fight club, and she heard Tynn also was wandering about. She wanted to find the girl, and so she took to the masses before her fight and hunted around for her dark skinned friend.
As she wandered by the booths, she nearly stumbled upon a young girl with olive colored skin, and her matori eyes glanced about before looking back down at Devra. Was the girl alone? Her hair was an interesting shade, and her ears drooped. Was she a hybrid? She couldn't be a yaeli, why would those fearful people show up here?
"Looking to buy something, kid?" Ondine asked gruffly, eyeing the girl's hands as they brushed across the stall's wares.

Heras Box so many XD and all hybrids! Saki post 2"Sakhile." He replied, siting down and eyeing the gathering group near the alkidike and.. water hybrid. Never saw one of those before; he thought amused. And that tall one is probably her mother. They're all tall though, Soon yet another hybrid female joined in much to his surprise... "All the hybirds." He muttered to himself. Guess we tend to congregate for safety? He nodded to the others who were there but not introduced. Normally he'd be fine with joining in and making new friends but he'd become slightly more reserved after leaving home. That and he was nervous about his first fight! He'd trained a lot int he past two years but was it enough? Hopefully he didn't embarrass himself too much. He looked over at the tall alkidike; "I'm not going to have to fight you am I? I'd die."

Senja 2Senja's eyes widened as someone snatched her newly bought necklace from her hands. "Oh no you don't!" She growled and immediately started moving, eyes catching sight of the sparkle she'd just bought. She may have been a bard but she was also a mother of two and had always danced.. that meant she had the legs and lungs on her to sprint and sprint fast. "Give that back you brat!" She hollered, her well trained voice rising above the crowds hum easily as she dodged through the crowd towards the leaf target. Oh she was going to give him a hiding when she caught him!

a pet dino Volle remembers her from looooong ago! Volle post 1Vollerei stalked past all sorts of Obans, ignoring them as she used her greater height and weight to head straight for the delicious food stands. No matter what she thought of them, their culture and their past.. she had to admit they knew how to cook! After buying enough to sate her hunger a bit, she leaned against a fence post to eat and people watch, dark orbs scanning the crowds. Her eyebrows shot up when she spotted a blast from the past.. a hybrid she'd run into and cooked with so many years ago. Finishing the kabob of meat she headed over with a grin. "I seem to recall a very happy afternoon showing you some spices and how to use them." She drawled as she approached the woman. Her stomach was larger than she remembered.. but it had that odd bump that wasn't fat she had to correct herself, thats their 'blossom.' Where they get their babies from.. so weird. The ice and shifter hybrid was unique enough it'd stuck in Volelrei's mind all these years. Plus she'd met her over food and that always helped her recall people.

Amarone Post 2
Amarone let out a long Oh as Neryssa confirmed her race, and smiled brightly with shimmering eyes. Oh what a facinating discovery, up close and personal with an actual Matori. She had seen a few in the war, and on her travels, but so far she really hadn't gotten a chance to actually speak with one.
"I am! A traveler from Sauti, but the deep part of Sauti, a village no one really knows about but it's close to the cliffs that overlook the beaches! Such an amazing sight, but a bit overwhelming if you get too close to the edge." She laughed a bit at the thought, remembering how others dared each other to touch the edge.
"Oh I'm Amarone! So nice to meet you!"
