Ethan followed behind her with the cart as she began to pick up different things from her list she made. He would have plenty of money to cover all of it and any they would need in the future. He turned his attention to her when she asked him about the items she picked up, "I would, their isn't much that I wouldn't eat." He reassured thinking that she was asking if she got snack items that she wanted, that she was probably making sure that he would share them as well. He would continue to shop with her when they passed by the meats section, which he got some packs of beef on sale that he wanted to make some things with.

Whitney's father was the first to spot his daughter and Ethan but as she smiled meekly, he crossed his arms, "Whitney, what are you doing here with this boy? Aren't you suppose to be at your friends house or did he get an invite that I didn't allow?" He asked thinking that his daughter needed to give him an explanation.

Ethan was rather surprised how unnerving her father's gaze was but he was an ex-cop so it wasn't surprising. When her mother spoke he was a bit surprised with what she said. He then thought it over, "Yeah, Im a friend of Nikki and we were planning to surprise Nikki with a nice meal after a hard days work." He replied kindly, since they did plan to offer Nikki something to eat anyway.

Ethan looked at them but he got a piece of paper out and wrote down his phone number, "If you ever need to, you can call my phone if you need to." he offered kindly to her, thinking that it would be the responsible thing to allow her parents to have a way to contact him.

Her father gently took the number and pocketed it but he looked Whitney's mother, "Alright then." he said softly thinking that he could trust his daughter but they would still be cautious of this guy that he didn't know about.

Ethan gave a bit of a sigh himself as he thought it over, "I am not going to feel confident when we have to tell them the news..." He said softly as he then went to finish walking around to shop, "But I promise to be strong about it." He said reassuring but he could still be seen to be nervous about having to tell her parents that they were going to be grandparents.

He helped in unloading the shopping cart which as she said that, he thought it over, "Yeah, but we can do it together." He said trying to put on a brave vibe but he was still one to be worried. When everything was scanned and ready, he went and picked up the bags, carrying most of the heavy stuff out to the car. When the car was loaded up, he opened the passenger door for her like a gentleman should.

Hearing what she said, he nodded as he thought it over, "Well for now, lets just head back to my home so that we can have a nice dinner." He said thinking that for now, they could just sit and have a nice evening and just talk, but the idea of when to tell her about his true self made it more nervous then telling her parents she is pregnant.

Ethan looked at her when she began to get to work in the kitchen but he thought it over, "I guess that I like movies and doing puzzles... I think that the party that we met, was actually the only party I ever went to." He said softly, thinking that if he had convinced himself to not have gone and just finished the puzzle he was working on, they wouldn't have a child growing in her and may not have gotten so close in the time they have been together.
