When he mentioned the drawing, she got red in the face again, he wasn't supposed to see that! Emily went on eating, trying to act normal when a knock was at her door, "Wonder who that could be." she went to the door to find, no one, just a notice on her door. She took it, went back inside and read it. It stopped her dead in her tracks. Emily got increasingly worried and just came back into the kitchen. She went back to her seat but couldn't eat. What was she going to do? She couldn't afford to pay anymore rent, not unless she decided to quit eating

"I, uh, I'm not feeling so great." Emily handed him the paper detailing her choices. $200 increase in rent or eviction in a week. She was going to have to find another place to live, but where? This was one of the cheaper places to live and it was still far off from the campus. Looks like she might have to quit school, or go with with some roommates, "I need to clean up." she got up without touching the rest of her food and started the clean up, putting the left overs away, rinsed the dishes and placed them in the dishwasher and started it up,then came the counters, wiping them clean from all of the food bits and dirt. What the hell was she going to do?

Emily was on the verge of breaking down until she heard his words. Would that work? Looking up at him she saw how serious he was, "I don't think I have much of a choice. But yea, I'd love to, thanks. Are you sure I won't be a burden to you? And I can pay some rent, otherwise it wouldn't be fair to you."

"Thank you, you don't know how much this helps me. I promise I will find a place soon." Emily was eternally grateful and could never thank him enough, "I'll cook dinner and breakfast everyday. And I'll clean too, to pay for my room."

One week later.....

Emily was carrying in the last box of her things into Cody's house. It was still weird that she would be living with him. It didn't seem real to her. But oh well, this is just how it was going to be. She placed the box on the floor of her new room. It was bare but it wouldn't be for long. She went back outside to see Cody, "Hey there, roomy."

"Oh trying to joke around. The jokes on you now, I'm going to call you tiger whenever I walk inside and see you." Emily chuckled and she got excited, "Screw resting, let me ride on your back!" man she was acting like a child but she didn't care. Riding on a tigers back seemed pretty awesome and more adult. She could see if it was a pony or horse she wanted to ride, it would make it childish.

Emily happily followed Cody into the forest, all with a smile on her face. She took the necklace, which was amazing, "This is beautiful, can I really wear this?" it looked special. She put it on and watched him transform. Emily could hear his thoughts!
"Wow! Okay then." she responded as she climbed up and placed one leg on each side of him, like she was getting on a horse. She tried to grab some fur to hold onto but was afraid to hurt him, "Um, where should I hold on?"

Emily quickly hugged his neck and smiled as he started to run through the trees. She was scared of falling off so she clung to him tighter but it seemed like she wouldn't fall so easily, adding the fact that he was being careful about it too. She started to laughed, loving the wind through her hair, caressing her face in the best ways. Emily recognized some of the places they passed from her journey into the woods, "This is amazing!"

"Oh, I was so excited I forgot to ask. Silly me. So how does it work?" she asked him. After some time, he came to a halt, Emily was about to ask why but then stopped as she looked up to see a beautiful waterfall, "Oh my....this place is stunning." the second thought she had was if she could jump in and swim, but again, that was childish.
