10. It takes you a while to find anything in the pond, but just as you’re about ready to give up and go up for air, you find an emerald shiner! It’s little, but it still counts! You get a token.  Not nearly as nervous this time, Emerald prances up to Fair Hunter, giving her a smile and bow. "I'll try it again." she says, sticking her head into the pond.
She was almost out of breath by the time she feels a fish. Lungs burning Emerald snaps it up, the fish so small it fully fits into her mouth. Pulling her head up she makes sure Fair Hunter sees her spit the tiny fish out. Gasping for breath she collects her token, to winded to do more then nod and smile in thanks.

"You know what I think?" grinned First to Strike. "I think I'm a natural at this."
This happened just before he plunged himself, full-body, into the pond.

He crowed in triumph to the Acha running the booth. "How'd you like that?"

19. You plunge your snout into the pond and pull out the ugliest fish you’ve ever seen. It has an oily sheen to it and razor-sharp barbels. You spit it out almost immediately- was that taste really worth a token?  Burdock smiles at the Acha, takes a deep breath and dunks her head into the pond. Almost immediately she grabs up a fish, one that tastes disgusting and pokes her mouth with its spines. Dropping g it back I the pond she collects her token, mouth too sore to do more then nod in thanks as she does so, and goes on her way.

Grandpa acha Light came back again, with as much positive feelings as he had since he was born and greeted the pond. Today, he did not stick his head into the water. Instead, he hovered over it, waiting for the fish to surface. When he noticed a tiny fin stick out, he immediately snatched it between his teeth and pulled the fish out. Aww it was a tiny shad. Nice.

"It really is a very good day for fishing, isn't it?" beamed Optimist. She stuck her snout into the water and immediately pulled out a marvel of a fish. It was so oily. "I didn't know things like this existed," she gushed.

Rob stuck her hoof in the water with a great amount of trepidation.
And emerged with...well, wait a minute. Her muzzle went in next, and she came up with a fairly large bass. Well! That wasn't so bad! They'd...be eating what they caught later, right?

9. You stick your muzzle into the pond. Almost immediately a small bass smacks into your lips. This was super easy! You trade the bass for a token.  Grasping Earth gives the Acha a smile before dunking his head into the pool. He caught the fish so fast it seemed like it wanted to he caught. Perhaps after so many days the fish were starting to feel safe even with kin snapping them up, he ponders to himself as he collects his token and tells Fair Hunter "Thank you."

Despite the comparatively awful experience of the previous day, Okay is Wonderful apparently had no hesitations about coming back. "Hello!" she chirped.
Unfortunately what she pulled out was a rock. "It's not as pretty as the tokens," she told Hunter. "But perhaps someone will want it! It's very shiny, at least." That...was probably because it was wet.

18. As you nose around the pond, something brushes against your face. It has long fins, and that’s good enough for you. You snap at it and catch it- and while it puts up a heck of a fight, the smallish carp is yours. You pull it up and get a token for your troubles.
Light in the Ocean held his breath as he dove his face under water, moving from one side to the other in hopes to find something in the pond. He felt something cold touch his face, and noticed long fins float on by. He opened his mouth and snapped it shut as he bit onto the fin.
It was not a heavy fish but wow did it struggle and swim. The acha had to wedge all of his feet into the ground to pull it out. When it gave up and let him catch it, the acha was all out of breath and sweaty. XD

Soot-Hooves had never really tried to fish, actually. She had found luck with her to come across a fish or two easily caught in some roots, but she was just as pleased to munch on leaves and berries and nuts and other game that was much easier to catch and didn't require peering through water that obscured your vision just enough to make it tricky. But for a festival, seeing the pool and giggling at other kin attempting to retrieve something from the murky water, she figured it was worth a try...
Carefully, the doe closed her eyes and submerged her face. She tried to open her eyes, but was fairly uncomfortable with it, and couldn't see much of anything as it was. With her eyes closed once more, she slowly moved her face along the bottom of the pond -- and felt something! It seemed to move, too, and that was enough to make Soot-Hooves go for it! She tried to follow the movement and closed her jaws a bit harsher than she meant to around something. Coming up for air, she snorted and shook her head slightly, though the thing in her mouth was wriggling and fighting as it was. She blinked her eyes open to see a carp!
"Mmph!" She gave an excited jump and turned to Fair Hunter to show off her success and exchange the fish for her token~

Blue Blood was back to try his luck at fishing. However, he got nothing, again.
He was not a very adept hunter in water as it were.

Westward Bound looked down at the little pond. Then up at Hunter.
He supposed Time to Go had already tried this. Which meant he was obligated, maybe? A little bit. He dipped his head in - and brought out a bass, coughing. It was dropped immediately back into the pond, perhaps because he was coughing.
At least he'd caught it.

Water. It was so...cold. And wet. And full of things with teeth.
But Rob had teeth of her own. She closed them around a small, flat, green fish with a throat that matched hers.
"Sorry, pal," she told it after she spat it out for Hunter and collected her token. Her mouth was going to taste briny for hours.

"Hi," said Okay is Wonderful. "This looks fun!"
She had probably already said that. This time the rock she pulled out was a token, so she kept it, showing to to Fair Hunter. "It's not a fish, so I don't need to throw it back, right?"
