Eaglehound - 9 Behalf - 4 + 2 = 6 Behalf checks on the little eaglehound and discovers that after his sisters beat-down, he's pretty pissed off. "Okay, I'll give you a shot," he says shrugging and sighing. "And here I was going to leave you alone today." And it whoops the snot off of him! The poor little critter was apparently pretty bitter about the last few fights its had, and has finally had enough. When Behalf walks away with half a dozen cuts and bruises, he smiles though instead of getting angry. "Good fight little guy," he compliments, and then shrugs at the token he missed out on. The little guy deserved this much at least, especially after what Revenge did to him last! (This poor eaglehound, after 3 rolls of the same creature and major beatdowns finally gets his revenge... XD)

There were certainly people that Wild Green Stones wanted to impress, here. That legendary, namely. He licked his lips and wandered into the circle of stones.

He repeated his previous strategy with this lynx, grinning and clicking his tongue at it. "Pity you couldn't learn from that pangolin," he said. "Nothing's gonna stop me!"
When the lynx had had enough of charging at him he came at it and gently pressed his knee into its side, so that it'd fall down.
"Cool, right?" he asked it.

Just then Lily - when had she left? - burst back into the center of the ring, a pretty bouquet between her teeth. She dropped it to the ground and raised her head, careful to let her laurels catch the light. "Hello, everyone!" she trilled. "I know you think we haven't been watching, but I'd just like to remind you all that we're not fans of gruesome maiming or outright murder. If this was a hunting competition we wouldn't have gone through the work of capturing all these lovely opponents for you. And really, we've got a limited supply, and it takes time for them to heal." She made a pointed swivel of her head, so that it was clear she was eying the animals. There were a few more than eight, now - wait, when had they called in replacements? "I know they look dangerous, but look! They're all much smaller than we are, and it's so troublesome to go out and find more without doing them harm. From now on we'll be banning you from further play if you do serious damage to our lovely companions - remember, it's skill that counts! Stop kicking these lovelies while they're down." And in the meanwhile, she'd definitely keep a very, very close eye on those competitors that had already done some damage to her fighters. They'd certainly be the first to go. OOC ANNOUNCEMENT:Hi everyone! We know it's a little unfair to retroactively ban people, but we've already posted a warning once, and there's still been a lot of gory violence in this thread! Please remember that even though we've got a legendary on board, Matope is still pretty realistic when it comes to healing - breaking an animal's neck or limb will put it out of play, which we don't want. Your kin will be banned from further play if we see any more examples of such violence (although you can try later with a different kin). Please, please be more careful. Thanks for understanding! To quote official RP guidelines: Mind the intentions of the ORP creator. In ORPs with a fatal slant (the Flood ORP for example), acknowledgment of the carnage is fine and expected, even if actual contribution probably isn't. In general or lighthearted ORPs, please do not disrupt the setting with excessive or intense violence or actions that would otherwise completely derail the surrounding action. Remain respectful of the creator and your fellow players. Our front page has always stated that the purpose of fights in this booth are to subdue the animal, deadly or incapacitating violence being discourage (for both OOC and IC reasons). The excessive violence in this thread has been upsetting other players and we'd like to make our booth a fun place for all. She bent to pick up her bouquet again, and dropped it merrily at Last Night's feet. "Thanks for dealing with people for us," she beamed. "Don't let it be said that old Sport there and I are neglecting you." Even though she'd clearly nabbed the flowers from another booth. Well, who cared? It was the effort that counted, right?

"Hell, yeah," said Wild Green Stones, catching, again, the tail end of the acha's announcement. "Well, don't mind if I do," he said, pushing his way into line so that he'd be the first to go once she left the arena.

In front of him was a foxbun. "Hello, little dude!" he told it, looking amused. "I think you'll be a bit cleverer than that lynx yesterday, won't you?" But that was okay. He knew just what to do.
He chased it into a 'corner' (well, it was round, but - ) of the arena and leaned over it, waiting for it to flop over onto its back. Unfortunately it was clever, and it merely darted out between his legs. "Smart little dude," he said, shaking his head, but he turned to the side and kicked some rocks up.
As expected, the foxbun ran in the opposite direction. Huh. He could work with this.
He continued to kick up sand and rocks until it was cornered into a smaller section of the arena, and then he just made growly noises at it. It ran away - straight into one of the clean white stones of the arena. He caught it between his hooves and squeezed very lightly, and then let go, stepping back.
That had been a job well done, right?

Apparently he was a sucker for trying to get better than himself. And dominating little things was the way to do it?

While smaller than him to be sure, the lynx was still a hunter, and Blue Blood was not keen to getting into it with a beastie with claws. Thankfully all it took was one headbutt before the Lynx backed off. Thank goodness because he really hadn't wanted to get clawed up.

Westward Bound nodded at this booth's staff before stepping forward. "I'd - I think I'd like to give this a try," he said.

An eaglehound rocked forward to greet him, and he smiled at it. He wasn't the greatest at, ah, physical things, but subduing a creature took more than pure physicality. It took strategy - good thinking. He had that in spades. Also, you know, the puppy was tired.
It actually didn't seem to take much. He darted from side to side, as though they were playing.
This might've been more interesting if there were obstacles in this ring, he thought fleetingly - and then he saw his opening, because the puppy was sitting down and scratching its head with its hind leg. He headed over and touched his snout to its belly, and it rolled right over for him. "You're sweet, aren't you?" he said, approving.

He'd beaten a few of the creatures before so... He would keep at it. It just made him feel better about himself.

Quote: the pangolin - It's armored and spiky, but it seems too lazy to be a particularly vicious contender. +6 to your roll. The tiny rolled up being was just a bit hairy looking in Blue Blood's opinion. Kicking it, the poor thing ran away. It suited him just fine. (token get)

Wild Green Stones was back, and he was ready to go. He shoved his way through the crowd and winked at the legendary, placing a hoof on one of the stones of the arena's boundaries. Then he hopped over nimbly, paying no mind to what anyone else was saying. "So who's my opponent today?" he asked, walking over to size up all eight of the potentials.

Apparently, though, the legendary did not find him funny. His opponent was a tough-looking caiman with a sharp-toothed grin. Wild Green Stones could be said to lack self-preservation, but after it snapped at his heels a few times - well, it was true that he was going to outlive everyone here.
Also, it helped that there was a legendary to pull him away when it became clear that he couldn't handle himself.
