Frogs. Kissing frogs. Rob could hardly believe it. But there were tokens involved.
Rob bent over to give one of the little multi-colored menaces a peck on the head. She had just had all sorts of things in her mouth today, and very few of them (barring the egg) had been nice.
This, apparently, was not enough.
"What? Does she want tongue?"
Or he. Rob was not skilled at gendering frogs, and the frog had not volunteered the information. This was maybe a bit much for Rob today, thanks.

Username: Jun D Dice Roll: 4 Kin name: Shroud Response: After having disgraced himself twice in a row at the frog kissing booth, Shroud's first instinct was to slink away from the place forever, never showing his face there again. So, of course, against all better judgment, he returned as soon as he could.
"I must beg your pardon, dear miss," he started immediately at the sweet-voiced doe, ducking his head in deference, but looking very, very solemn indeed, "on each occasion I have come by, I have been rather the buffoon. I felt that I must explain myself – it was never my intention to mock your endeavour. I had no mind of which frog it was; I did not realise that was a toad. I would have gladly liked nothing better than to properly kiss a frog as you'd desire. It is a wonderful and noble enterprise you are conducting here and – pardon? Oh, yes. Yes, of course."
Third time's the charm.

Username: The Cake Mage of Sheep Dice Roll: 2. You... miss the frog's mouth. Gecko is extremely disappointed, and sends you on your way. Kin name: Thumper & her piggy Response: 150 words of happenings to your kin! Thumper had seen this booth and decided to give it a try. "Can't be too bad, right? Frogs are cute too." she tells the piggy trotting along beside her.
"I'll kiss a frog." she tells Gecko, bouncing in place. The orange doe presents her with a frog and Thumper leans in to give it a smooch. Unfortunately, Not Rabbit jumps up on the stump, getting between her and the frog. The pig gives the amphibian a nuzzle, causing Thumper to kiss her pet instead.
"Awe look at 'em, so cute!" Thumper isn't the least bit upset about missing, the sight of Not Rabbit and the frog just too cute. "Have a good day!" she tells Gecko, having to nudge her pig away from the frog. "Time to go. We'll come back tomorrow." she says brightly, leading Not Rabbit off.

29 December Username: FrostyPeaches Dice Roll: 8. There is no frog to kiss. Instead, you kiss Gecko! The doe is pleased. Her next door neighbor, Fair Hunter, is NOT, and gives you a token on the promise this will not happen again. (Note- if you kiss Gecko twice, Fair Hunter just scares you off. No token today!) (+1 token first time rolled, no token afterward) Kin name: Kiss of Death Response: It is quite fortunate that she did not have to kiss any frogs at all again. But when she had the chance that one day, her stomach flopped and she felt too sick to continue with smoothing an amphibian... Today's situation seemed rather familiar again. There, on the counter, were no frogs to be found. It was either Kiss of Death that had bad timing or the frogs were taking a break every time before she could make it to this kissing booth. However, someone else is still available to kiss..... The doe charged up to the booth, kissed Gecko and ran away as fast as she could because she saw the buck next door snorting angrily when she was just alone with Gecko. Hahaha, too late sucker! I already kissed her! Kiss of Death turned around while she ran and noticed the buck had become really furious but she was too far gone to even give him a chance to chase after her and fight her.

Even if she still looked bored. She had a new crown of twigs, a bundle of drying flowers, and someone had helped her turn her gross piece of bloodied pelt she had gained from the leftovers of another person's meal into a proper bag dangling from her neck. Everything was turning out well for her. Which lead her to eyeballing the frog kissing booth once again. She was going to show other kin how it was done, unflinching, and NOT get intercepted by that colorful little frog that kept making her head spin a little too quickly and her feet far too unstable under her spindly legs. She was not going to be defeated by some pretty little frog. Walking steadily and proudly to the booth, she looked into the area where the frogs were supposed to be and frowned.... "hrrm... Excuse me -- I never caught your name -- but.... Where are the Frogs?" Her brows furrowed, squinting suspiciously at the brightly colored frog she had so far ended up kissing twice -- First without realizing there was an issue with it, and the second time because it had decided to stand closer to her when she went in for another frog. This time, she was not going to be fooled by it, " The other frogs? I've quite had my fill of kissing that one in particular if I could help it.." WC:287

30 December Username: FrostyPeaches Dice Roll: 6. You end up kissing... a toad? Gecko is upset. This is not a frog AT ALL. Nonetheless, you earn a token. (+1 token) Kin name: Kiss of Death Response: Again this doe came back without giving up. There are only a few days left and she really wanted to know how it tasted to have kissed a frog. Passing by each box, she heard croaks so today must be the day that she could kiss something other than Gecko herself. She went for the box at the very end and stuck her head inside. Lunging deep into the dark area, she felt her lips plant onto something. A croak was heard and when she moved back to see what she had kissed, she noticed it was the same toad from a few days ago! "Eww, YOU again," she sputtered and spat, trying to cleanse her mouth. Water is definitely needed. Why of all boxes did she end up kissing a toad again?!

Username: The Cake Mage of Sheep Dice Roll: 1. You kiss a frog. Blech. Gecko nods approvingly, and gives you a token for your trouble. (+1 token) Kin name: Emerald Response: 150 words of happenings to your kin! Emerald dances up to the frog booth, not sure if she had been here already or not. At least she had not been here today. "Hi!" she tells the pretty orange doe. "I'll kiss a frog for you!" she's a bit overly excited maybe.
When Gecko picks a frog and sets it on the stump, Emerald eyes it a moment. "Awe so cute, it'll be easy to kiss!" puckering her lips and leaning down Emerald does just that, landing a kiss right on its slimy lips. The frog gives a croak but looks unimpressed.
"So you say, froggy." Emerald replies, then wipes her lips on her forelegs, removing the slime as best she can. "Not something to do every day, but everyone should try stuff at least once, right?" she tells Gecko before collecting her token and prancing off to explore more of the market. Maybe I'll come back at the end and see if any frogs are up for adopting, she thinks. Probably not, though, they're probably the doe's pets. Still worth a try, if she remembers.

Rob steeled herself, closed her eyes, and puckered.
Her lips landed right on...exactly nothing. Entirely nothing. Gecko looked like she was going into a panic. Well...well, fine, she hadn't wanted to kiss the frog either, really. Could it sense it? Was that the problem.
Rob supposed it could have been worse. The closing eyes thing could have proven risky. There were, after all, worse parts of a frog to kiss than its lips. The whole warts thing was a myth, wasn't it? Some of these frogs also looked very...warningy. And exotic. And inedible. Should inedible frogs really be going near lips? Rob thought the booth would have had a shade more success if the goal was kissing the owner of the establishment. Less slime, for one thing.
Yes, definitely keeping her eyes open for the next one. She waited politely for Gecko to finish scurrying about, smiling with a very fixed politeness.
At least this time Gecko tossed her a token for her trouble.

Alright, this time, she was really going to do it. Eyes open. On the lips... when Gecko informed her it was a toad, Rob burst out with an indignant, "Are you kidding me?" Who could tell? Why would Gecko even have tossed toads into the hazardous assortment of amphibians? This had become, frankly, a much more difficult task than Rob had anticipated.
Who had such high standards of precision frog kissing?
The toad slime was also not much better than the frog slime, and Rob wasn't all that sure that the frogs had actually wanted to be kissed...nevertheless, now Rob was determined. Come earthquake or high water, she was going to kiss a frog.
A smooth, colored one. With...eyes. And mucus. And...all the little squirmy, jumpy, hoppy movements. She pressed down the desire to make a face and busied herself wiping her mouth clean instead.

Gecko probably knew nothing about Lily's reputation - or maybe she did, because the target she found for Lily was brightly-colored and wet. Definitely a frog. "I'll kiss him on the lips," trilled Lily, who didn't really care whether she was misgendering the frog. "No need for fanfare."
This was a little silly of her to say, considering it was she that was dragging this out. But eventually she did lean forward and catch the frog with her lips. Then she stumbled back. "Mm," she said. "That was quite pleasant."
She was not walking in a straight line. Gecko looked horrified. Well, she had - she had the - ooh, a token! Yes, she'd take that.

Kiss of Death noticed that all the frogs had taken a break from their hard day's work and went out swimming in the pond. There was, however, one thing she could kiss, again. Licking her lips to moisten them some more, she charged up to the booth without saying anything and kissed Gecko on the cheek and ran off. She did not care if Fair Hunter saw it or not. She already did it and now she off to find another booth to play with.

Username: Toshihiko Two Dice Roll: 6 Kin name: Robbery Response: Rob laid down a big ole smackaroonie.
Right on a toad. Again.
"I don't mean to be a bother," Rob said, looking down at the flustered and now twice-kissed toad, "but what is the difference?" After it was explained that it was mostly a texture issue, Rob supposed that made sense. The toads looked less slimy and more, well, kissable. She guessed. The frogs also looked slightly more dangerous. And hoppy. The toads, at least, stayed still. She wasn't sure what sort of vendetta the (admittedly also smooth and orange) kimeti had against the toads. She gave the toad a consolatory pat. "That's alright," she whispered to it, "no harm done."
Still. Thus far she had kissed: a frog's cheek, a toad's lips (twice). She did have tokens to show for it, that was true (with the exception of the frog cheek), and she wasn't sure entirely what more she could ask for, but...
