Aureole was sure she knew what sort of snowman she was going to do. With her tongue stuck out the side of her mouth, she took the broken lamp and set it close to the base of her snowman. It was showing but her tail with flicking from side to side with excitement. But then she found a large pile of twigs. Oh! She wasn't going to waste this opportunity! The peryton started stacking the snowballs she formed then stuck the twigs in various appropriate areas. She shuffled back on her knees and grinned with a nod. "Yup! I'm too good at this!"

She was passing the decision to him? That wasn't how this worked. He passed decision to her. He didn't even really want to do this to begin with. He just wanted to sit back and watch her play with it, whatever. "I guess... we can play with the ice." He guessed. Fine Olivia fine. Andrew walked over and slowly slowly very slowly poked at the ice with a chisel. He barely scrapped the ice off not wanting to touch it. Though apparently he was doing ok. It might have helped that he had a cold sink standing next to him as he worked, the ice refroze almost as soon as it melted. chirigami What kind of roll was that? well then.

She had left her spectator alone this time, opting to go to the booths on her own today. With a heart full of easy excitement, she made her way back to the Pingu booth. She offered a wave, but the sad look in its eyes was telling of the day before. She wasn't going to the ice blocks today. Instead, there were other dorm mascot snowman she could attempt! The snowman's body was the difficult part to put together. She heaved and pushed, packed and shaped until it had the basic form of what she was looking for. Right off the bat, a glance at the junk pile around the booth offered some of the items she had needed.

A garbage bag was not needed for what she had in mind. If it were a reaper mascot snowman, it would be perfect for a cape. Her snowmand had enough twigs... She giggled at the idea of giving her monster dorm snowman abs though.

She was frowning at this point. Her ears back and her eyes downcasted at the trash she had picked up. Why were these here? Suppose it would be wiser to take the trash she had picked up and actually get rid of them, as oppose to... you know, putting it back into the trash pile to potentially pick up again. Logic, yes?

It had the nice face, the wings, the horns... the trash bag could be used as a tail, maybe use pieces of the broken lamp for embellishments, but the tail was pivotal. And a manticore did not have a trash bag tail.

Nii walked closer to the large piece of ice. Getting closer she noticed the huge amount of pingus around. As she looked for the person responsible a pingu slides over and hands her a hammer and a chisel.
“Get to work, Ya?”
Nii looks confused at the tools, but as she looks around and see what other are doing she finally gets the picture. "Oh, you want me to make an ice pingu. Well, I can do that" She close in on her ice block and gets to work.

The pingu seem happy with the result so far.
As she goes in to the details something goes wrong and it end up looking nothing as a pingu at all. The pingu walks away and Nii feeling disappointed of her failure decides to go build a snowman instead.

Nii walks up to the huge pile of snow instead. She looks around for materials to build her snowman. After a quick look around she has found 6 frozen carrots and a pair of sticks.
She realize that there isn't much she can build with just that she she decides to go on another scavenger hunt.

The second scavenger hunt goes better and before she knows she has a good pile of stuff collected. "OK, what can I build with 8 pairs of carrots, 2 pairs of twigs, a broken lamp, and a garbage bag?" She looks over her stuff and in the end she decides to go for something simple, that doesn't contain carrots. After creating a strange looking base she picks up a pair of twigs to add as arms. Looking at the snowman she feel something is missing. she spots her lantern and hangs it on one of the twigs and decides that her creation is done.

It was the second day of the House Cup already. Mahlan walked straight, a rolled-up clothbag on her back, and she was walking straight into the iceworks area.
She had something to do here. Mainly repaying that Pingu that has been crying after she, uh, destroyed her own piece over a sneeze. No, Mahlan will not made that mistake again.
"Please!" She stomped on the fresh snow, attracting attention of the Pingus working around, polishing the ice with ice to smoothen their surface. "Yesterday I made a fool of myself-now I wanna redo it! I'll show ya guys what my seriousness can do!" She walked forwards, not waiting for response and moved before the Pingus can restrain her; within a time of a blink an iceblock has been scraped away with her tail, creating large dentations on the sides.
"All talk, all talk. See? You can't even make the outline right." Called one Pingu, probably the one from yesterday-she can somehow see it. "Nah. Art is explosiveness. Art is how you express your soul. If you need too many preparations in it, it will lost the soul you can imbue at that moment you are moved to create, and will end as another object that 'you need to finish', a shackle on you." She continued, looking at the ice block-no, the unfinished piece within it, waiting to be created. "I will liberate you."

Well, the base doesn't need to be that good. She already has the capability to do what normal plant spirit cannot do, even if they mastered the use of their hands--- "You better be away from here." Mahlan snickered, bringing out her 'special weapon' which is actually only borrowed item. Throwing the large pack on her back onto the ground, she pulled out... Uh. A rather gorgeous snow winter gear borrowed from somewhere. Well she did ask for this so it's technically not stealing. Donning the winter-wear, which is too small a size for her body, the plant spirit swished her tail few times for warming up, her gaze not even deviating a bit from the somewhat vaguely shaped block of ice. The worst enemy, cold already defeated, and the sap has been reduced to zero beforehand. This' gonna be easy. "-YAAAH!" with a loud yell, Mahlan twisted her body sharply, causing her tail to blur into afterimages of brown and green. She's dancing aggressively...or looked like dancing, because to manipulate and put strength into her tail the body also needs to shift around- With each 'slash' and 'scrape' from the hardened leaf, covered with sap, the block of ice continually slimmed down. This is not enough. Not beautiful enough! These pingus---I'll capture their soul and imbue freedom to it!"HEYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~!" Step. The dance ended, Mahlan placed her tail down; and the air was full with sparkling particles. It was done. The resulting piece was not something alike any Pingus. The surrounding birds squawked at it. Some of them, with utmost care, placed a top hat and a monocle--- It was a swan of ice, so majestic, so gallant. "Howwzat! I said I can do this, right?" Snipped Mah, posing with glee on her face.

Icicles could be used in place of the carrots, she had supposed. She gave it a thought but felt the curvature of the carrots gave the monster mascot a bit more character than icicles anyway. A squashed tomato would not fair any better than the button coal nose. But maybe it could be part of the tail...
