Alright! Back to business. Sarcel was pleased to find the door and chair she left undisturbed, taking the chance to carefully peek back into the Nutrition Block. It seemed silent. A little too silent.

Chinchillamom poked her head around the corner, scaring Sarcel into a loud yelp. She slammed the door behind her, chest heaving with exaggerated breathes as she tried to calm herself back down. Damn creature. Sighing out, she did allow herself to settle back against the door, taking in the silence sans the pitter-patter of her lusii's paws. Had she found something? Oh...

Oh...! Right, the investigation! Sarcel looked up with a renewed vigor, scanning the room. This was the most obvious place to look, and quite frankly she was surprised there hadn't been more trolls through here (or had there, and she just wasn't aware? Hmm...)

Focus Sarcel! Focus. She made her way over to the thermal hull, peeking inside, but not being very surprised when she didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Actually, hadn't that greenblood been looking in here? If there was anything strange, they'd probably already gotten to it. God damn...

Ah, but hope springs eternal. She checked through the drawers, eyeing over the contents carefully. To her side, chinchillamom was busying herself by rolling in the sink, though for better or worst there was no dust available for her. She was glad the lusus was being... somewhat cooperative anyway, save for the clearance earlier. or was that a ruse?

Shaking her head, Sarcel walked over to the Knife Block, looking at the sharp blades. She would have been amused with the creature had it been any other time, but as it was... time was crunched and she was trying hard not to get terribly stressed out. She was totally getting a little stressed out.

She'd think about everything else later. As it was, Sarcel couldn't help but sit down on the floor by the cabinets, hugging her legs. Chinchillamom, in a rare act of... Sarcel wasn't sure what, nosed her way over, overly luxurious fur brushing against her unfortunately gloved hands. It was surprising to say the least, but Sarcel wasn't complaining.

Just five minutes. Give her five minutes and she'd be back up and raring to go.

Tamiya’s ears were ringing. She cleared her throat and pushed down her hatred – the red in her eyes followed, dissolving back into their normal calm orange. She frowned. This was a tragedy. She needed Sinter, and…

There was an arm on her own. Eostre. Clearly, leaning on her for support. She didn’t need Sinter. She understood now. She could take care of this. Tamiya took a long, deep breath. Her pump biscuit’s beats felt dangerously irregular, but perhaps it was her newfound talent for social charm that was getting her off balance. Take stock of things, Tamiya. Take good stock. The purpleblood patted Eostre’s hand and gave her a meaningful look, then excused herself to think.

There was a murder. She knew what had to be done, of course – but unfortunately, the body had been removed before she could sanctify it. Comedi! She wondered how he was faring. She wondered if he knew anything. She would inquire with him at once. His position was now the highest (excluding the Queen, of course), and he would be a valuable ally. This could only have been done by poison, foul play – mutants! Those damned mutants… The Kitchen was her next stop.

Tamiya snarled and whipped away from her place at the table, heading straight for the clown. Assuring him that he would be safe, she suddenly thought of something: he might have been a target. Of course. Any of these lowbloods or mutantbloods might have something against him. “Brother Comedi! Do you ******** think... Anyone here takes issue with us—with our faith? If you suspect such, I will do my best for you and bring them to holy justice…”

She bowed, listened to his confirmation and headed off for the Kitchen. Tamiya swung open the door and peered dangerously inside, scanning the countertops. Sarcel, to her surprise, was already here. “You there! Sarcel. What have you found? Did you find some knives? What is over there” Tamiya questioned. She took a step inside and rapped her fingers on the countertops.

A very fancy knife block! You take a look and immediately notice that the knives are all s**c and span, well cared for, and very sharp.

Inside of the drawer is some typical junk - a rubber band ball, plastic bags, miscellaneous menus from various take-out restaurants. [!]

The sink has a number of dishes in it - as the banquet was interrupted and immediately ceased, these haven't been entirely cleaned up yet from service. Some of them look half-cleaned but abandoned due to the drama.

As soon as Zindel entered the main block, the teen adjusted his clothing, feeling a little nervous-- asking a higherblooded troll questions was something he'd never do if he wasn't completely sure of doing it. Schrad was a redblood, but she was still liable to put a knife in his pump biscuit. As he walked over, Zindel slowly passed by the curtains and slid a hand behind them, keeping his face and expression calm. He swiped the letter, tucked it in his inside jacket pocket and continued walking.
"Hello there, Erilyn." Zindel started, feeling a little tense as he glanced over toward Comedi-- A purpleblooded Juggalo... Maybe he should wait? No, he was curious. Maybe someone had asked it before, though... Maybe he could start with something else. He was a little curious about Epratt... "I was wondering-- Do you happen to know anything about Epratt?" He was dead, so it didn't matter anymore... However, he did seem to have a reputation...

Maybe he'd find out more if he went somewhere else. Zindel soon left after receiving an answer, bidding them farewell and adjusting his suit pocket. He needed to go over his observations...

Exploring: Dining block
Dectective Tsifer is on the case.
Investigation: 0/3 (South, North)

After her theatrics at the South Outgrowth, Eridia decided to approach Gerard. Never in her life has she been worried for another troll that wasn't herself. Was it because of the parties or something else? Eridia shook her head, still remembering her reflection on the flash, how he spoke to her. The child didn't want him to get culled and thought of the chances he was the next victim.

He can't die. Eridia sniffled and looked at Gerard from afar. How refined was he gog! She wanted to be like him. The child knew he was in a tight situation, so why wasn't ha talking with the other adults that were with him before all this drama started? Eridia approached the adult looking worriedly at him. "Mister Rutven... are you alright?"

She saw him drink that strange liquid he'd offer her and instantly gulped. "I know you're inoccent." She said reassuringly. "You haven't done anything wrong and I will make sure you are not blamed for any of this."

The child looked over at the pair, her unmatchmaking senses were tingling. The purpleblood tilted her head and watched them for a second, then snapped out of her daze and looked back at the purpleblood. Where were her manners? "Erilyn and Comedi are talking over there, shouldn't you be with them?" She said softly.

Azrael took a seat next to kursha. He felt like not doing so would be completely rude especially toward the seadwller. Forget about if he actually watched to see if Azrael had sat with the greenblood. He didn't make much conversation between eating and feeding bits to his lusus. He would let out a quiet giggle as his lusus would comment about the food or the trolls.

He didn’t bother checking if this would disturb the greenblood or anyone else for that matter. If the guy had an issue with a kid and his lusus he could speak for himself. As Azrael ate and messed around with his lusus, the lights clicked off. The young troll felt confused, yhis hive didn’t seem like it had that faulty of wiring? Was it all shine and no substance? Azrael tensed a bit, he couldn’t exactly see what was going on but he heard it. He heard the eating, then gurgling, then the thud.

Azrael reached in his bag for one of his drawing utensils, just in case and then the lights came on. With pursed lips he looked around for whatever made the sound. When the young troll saw that Epratt was the one that had bit the dust, he felt a twinge of sadness. He had just been with him before his death. His attention on the scene didn’t last long as shrieks and other loud noises brought his attention to the mutants. He’d never learned about mutants, he'd seen one before back in the swamp, but never had the chance to look at her. Azrael found himself drawn to the young trolls, but his priorities were on finding the killer. He'd get to them later if he had time, maybe they were the killes.

Amazing…” Azrael muttered before his attention came back to the greenblood. He'd made a speech about getting through things quickly and then walked away without looking back. Azrael was curious about what went on in this troll's head, was he morally bound to find the killer? Or was he just after some kind of glory for himself? Kursha seemed kind of like a proactive citizen with a good head on his shoulders at least. Azrael wanted to see what kind of decisions Kursha would make during the night and so decided to follow the greenblood. What kind of character was this Vidari guy anyway? Well he'd find out soon enough.

      [+] Kursha Vidari

At the sound of a gentle cough behind him, Kursha turned. An elegantly dressed purpleblood—or maybe she was a blueblood—stood before him, hand over her breast. She wore more fluff than he had ever seen on a troll before. Was she imitating a woolly trunkbeast? The juxtaposition of such a hefty creature with such a dainty-looking troll provided an amusing mental image, and he quirked a grin at the thought.

The blueblood introduced herself, and Kursha made sure to remember her name. As she went on, he returned her flattery with a smile. Behind the niceties though, he was wary. How much did she know? Only as much as he did? He longed to hold a knife to her throat and press her for answers, but that was impossible. There was no way he would get away with that in a public setting, especially considering what had just transpired. For now they were allies.

“I promise I don't bite... not without good cause,” he replied. It was casual banter, but there was a note of warning in there as well.

Accepting her hand, Kursha gave it a firm shake. “Oh yeah?” He raised an eyebrow. “I could tell you all about it, if you want. Later though. Kinda busy at the moment.” he glanced back the tables to demonstrate his point. “Tell you what, meet me in the Rumpus Block later, and we'll talk.”

Releasing her hand, Kursha turned to leave. Back turned to her, he gave the blueblood a lazy wave. “Nice meeting you, Diazzi!” It was only after he walked away that he reviewed the note she had slipped into his hand. Bingo.
- - -

Kursha returned to the north outgrowth sometime later. Since the room had cleared out (for the most part anyway; he saw a young purpleblood engaging Rutven in conversation), it would be that much easier to investigate. Prowling the perimeter, he kept an eye out for anything unusual. Epratt had been murdered here. There had to be something.

As he passed by an open window, Kursha shivered. A chill breeze ruffled the curtains. When all the guests in the dining block, it had been a welcome respite. Now it was just uncomfortable. He turned to close the window. His fingers brushed the curtains. Suddenly he paused. Taking hold of the fabric, he studied it and the area behind it. “Hm...”

After a minute or two of poking around, Kursha moved on. He did not go very far though. The sparkle of the glasses caught his eye. Following ray of light that illuminated them lead him to the adjacent window. Pale moonlight poured through the window panes. Restless, he peered around the sill. Then, shading his eyes to block out the interior light, he glared outside. Well then...

Behind him, he heard the two purpleblood's conversation dwindle. Kursha glanced over his shoulder. Rutven was excusing himself, leaving the girl. In any other circumstance he might have ignored her. “Oi! You!” he called out. Without waiting for a reply, he stalked over. “You know him?” he asked, gesturing with his thumb in the direction of Gerard.

"I-I understand..." She sighed as he walked away. Gerard said enough for now and she was pleased with what he'd said. Eridia had pushed him too far, to talk about something he obviously didn't want to recall. At least, that's how she had interpreted things. Eridia was about to follow the adult when she heard someone call out to her. Eridia looked up, it was the commander. She crossed her arms, she wasn't under his thumb anymore so why answer politely? Plus he didn't even address her as properly! Commander or not, he was going to get a rude reply.

"I might." The child filled with sass cracked her neck slightly. "What? You wanna ask him some questions don't you." Eridia stood on the tip of her toes and crossed her arms. "Mister Rutven is innocent." Full of naiveness that was said. "He wouldn't commit a crime such as this."

"He wants everyone to leave him alone right now. Gerard needs some air and I assured him no one would bother him while he relaxed. So tell me Commaaaander," She sighed. "want something from me?" Her tone gave away she wasn't in the mood, mixed with a hint of sadness as well. She was just an injured kid at the wrong time and place. Eridia rubbed her 'bitten' arm idly as she mumbled something to herself.

There appears to be yet another hidden security camera behind the curtains! The light is red.

Strangely enough, when you look out the window you notice a camera hidden in a topiary outside. It appears to be facing away from the Dining Block. Either way, you certainly can't get out to it to check it out.

Had it been five minutes? Probably. Surely. Certainly? Time had passed, Sarcel was at least certain of that. However long it was, she wasn't sure. Was she losing it? Possible. Would she still manage to keep it together? Of course. That was what Sarcel was best out; overcoming impossible odds, right.

Not that this situation directly affected her and there was no real reason to be so worked up. Unfortunately for Sarcel, a reason decided to present itself right then and there, doors swinging open rather unexpectedly. Fortunately, it was only Tamiya. Was that actually a fortunate thing? Sarcel recognized the troll anyway, so that was good. Of course, she was rather more purple than her and definitely a little more unpredictable. Then again, any troll held a degree of unpredictability in Sarcel's opinion.

She was on her feet in an instant, body moving from pure muscle memory as she saluted the higher blood, "M-Miss Aiguma! S-Salutations!" W-Wait, how was she supposed to coerce her out?

Sarcel remembered where she was, hand dropping, but formality intact. What is over here? Wait, knives? What did knives have to do with this? Her eyes glanced to the rack, then back to Tamiya, then back to the rack. Would it be a good idea to let her near the knives? She wasn't entirely sure anyone needed to be near any knives right now. Chinchillamom gave a short, choppy bark from the floor where she resided, taking it upon herself to scamper around some more.

"I-I have found some k-knives, yes!" her voice was a little too high pitched and strained for comfort, and she took a breath to steady herself, "W-Would you l-like one? A-Ah, I've already l-looked in here y-you see... n-nothing of n-note... I w-was about to s-search elsewhere...."

Nodding in agreement with herself, Sarcel dashed over to the rack, chose a particularly impressive blade, swinging it as she gesticulated nervously with her hands, "T-This is fine right? T-Though I uh," as she turned to Tamiya, her gaze looked almost questionable, "I-I'm not particularly... u-uh, knowledgeable... u-unless you're a bit more... intelligent—" a pause, "—o-on the matter?" She wasn't sure if Tamiya would get her hint or not, or if she was even aware, and she was sure she sounded like a rambling moron, but just to be sure...

Melancholies

Tamiya appraised the blueblood with the same confidence she approached every situation. It was pleasing that the jumpy troll came right to attention. Even better, she seemed to be quite useful if not terribly stutter-y. This was a troll that needed to slow down and enjoy the sweeps. Tamiya quietly reminisced and faintly sighed, walking over to Sarcel. She greeted the blueblood’s salute with a whimsical pat on the ******** hello!" She roared. Tamiya put her hands on her hips and peered about.

“Would I… Like one?” Was there any reason to take one? Tamiya’s expression darkened. If Epratt was in danger, surely Comedi or the others were as well. Perhaps even she. Perhaps gathering the newest up and coming subjugglator and a high member of clown society was part of these dastardly plots! Now what did Sarcel have to do with this? That was the real question. Tamiya couldn’t identify anything off about the blueblood, and that was worrisome enough. These were dangerous times, of course. And if foul play was involved, then yes. Maybe she should take a knife.

Tamiya looked up to see that Sarcel was tempting her with a blade this very moment.

“Yes.” Tamiya announced. “I could examine one, methinks. I lack a suitable weapon in case of capriciousness and emergencies and this… Knife…” She was mesmerized. Tamiya blinked and looked at the silvery blade in Sarcel’s hand. She carefully extracted it with a gasp. “Are so well cleaned and well edged indeed! Free of shitcrust and all!” She slid the knife all the way out of the block in order to look at it more closely. “I suppose this could come in handy in searching for evidence as a fine utensil. And... Yes.... Yes... If I had separators or tweezers that would indeed be appropriate as well. But this will do.” At this point she was rattling onto herself. She was too consumed with her thoughts to notice anything out of the ordinary – finally, her thinkpan caught up. She had to make a new plan of action. Tamiya turned to Sarcel. “You said you have already looked here? There is nothing else then? Have you found… Salacious secrets? Where are you going next, hmmm?”

      [+] Kursha Vidari

Clearly this kid had no idea who she was tangling with. Otherwise she would have known better than to give him sass. Kursha's mouth stretched into a wide grin. A bad sign. He had been playing the cold, straight-laced commander for too long, and his pent up aggression had no outlet. He just needed one excuse to start a fight.

“What do you think?” Kursha replied, squatting in front of the purpleblood so that he was almost eye level with her. Crossing his arms, he rested his elbows on his knees. “I didn't come over here to compliment you on your outfit. So...”

He blinked and his pupils switched to crosshairs That was usually enough to unnerve anyone who gave him trouble. If not though, he had no qualms about resorting to more drastic measures. “I guess you're Rutven's new bodyguard. What do you have to report?”

Azrael had wandered around almost aimlessly looking for the subject of his current psychological interest. Realizing he was just wasting time and he had a larger priority at hand, Azrael made his way to the nutrition block to see what he could find. He needled around in the kitchen before finally setting eyes on the thermal hull sitting next to the counter. He noted it was pretty impressive in size, he thought that perhaps it had something that might help? Well, at least it couldn’t hurt to check. As he did a once over on the thermal hull, scarfettle peaked out of the satchel exclaiming what an exciting night it was. “Yeah, it has been, ” Azrael agreed before turning his attention away from the thermal hull and turning it towards the oven under the counter and what could be in there. He didn’t want to spend too long here since he wanted to talk to Comedi a little bit. He’d had an interest in talking to the juggalo since he’d laid eyes on him, though he probably wouldn’t get to ask the questions he’d initially had in mind.

Azrael gave the oven a once over, noting anything he found. He then pulled out his trusty sketchpad and a blue colored pencil to write down his findings in. After making his notes he put the sketchpad in his satchel with his lusus. “Okay, let’s pay a visit to, umm… Mr. Comedi,” this was said to no one in particular as he left the nutrition block and re-entered the dining block. He looked around the room to locate the troll he wanted to speak with. He didn’t wander around the room too far and found Comedi with Awassi over at the sideboard where masks and coats where haphazardly stacked. “Excuse me! ” Azrael called out running over to the two trolls. “Excuse me, I have a question to ask. ”Azrael pushed his cape aside to better access his satchel. “Well, a couple actually, but only one for right now, ” he wanted to find the greenblood as soon as possible. “Could you tell me what you know about Mr.Epratt, Mr. Comedi? ” he reached in his satchel for his sketchpad and a pencil to note what he said. “Anything at all would be helpful,”

After finishing his conversation with the purpleblood he graciously thanked the troll and jogged off to go find his specimen. When he finally found Kursha, he made to call out to the greenblood so that he could tell him he was pretty much going to follow his lead from hear on but a small troll with very familiar horns caught his attention and instead he blurted out, “Eridia? You’re here? ” His tone was complete shock. Not once had she written back to him since the incident in the swamp. He hadn’t heard anything about her condition and ran up to her. Not forgetting about Kursha, just putting aside his want to dissect the behavior of this troll in order to catch up with his missing boss Eridia.

"As if I need any more compliments." Eridia breathed in as the other reached her height. Second time in her entire life that someone had done such thing. They his pupils changed, interesting. The child gazed at them for a few seconds then blinked herself out of her mind palace. "Hey Deadshot. Gonna shoot me with your eyes?" She said sternly at the teen. So annoying. Was this another weird characteristic certain greenblooded trolls had? He clearly didn't know who she was. But Eridia knew starting a fight with the other wasn't going to end well, yet...

"Excuse you, I'm not some lowly bodyguard!" Her jaw tightened. "I'm..." Again she rubbed the now stinging injury as she thought what was she? She only talked to Gerard twice, what could he possibly recognize her as? A child? His student? No. Certainly he said it out of courtesy but... she wanted to be his pupil.

"I'm his... protégé." Eridia breathed out. Gerard did say she could shine under his wing. So the term fits. "Didn't you see how well we got along before everything went haywire?"

Then the teen just had to ask about her reports. that got her mad, she didn't have to report anything. All she wanted was to stay quiet. Hell as if she was going to tell him what she knew. "I'm soooorry, but I ain't under your commands. If you want something then make an offer. Something that's equal my info's worth."

Another familiar voice was heard.

Geez, was EVERYONE at the swamp adventure invited to this ball? "UGH! What now--" Her eyes slightly widened. It has certainly been a while since they last saw each other. A memory struck her and Eridia clutched her shoulder again. Azrael seemed surprised she was still alive. That was good.

"No, I'm a ******** ghost. What do you think?"
