Phaenna had taken to leaning on her spear as she drolly watched the mortals poke about, talk to each other, dirty and well...Were some flirting with each other at a time like this? URRRG mortals. Here she was thinking Himeros was bad- Well he was always bad like that. Surely they could wait another season for mother's party at least? She had better things to do and started to move to do them.
Then someone said a word to her that made her freeze.
MISS?!?
Phaenna turned and stood up straight and proper, staring at the fae male that had called her...Miss...Really. These mortals come to Mother's Temple and they couldn't even BOTHER to learn their names? Not even a 'Dear beautiful goddess, would you be so kindly to aid us on our quest to solve this horrific crime?' That would be better and they could be forgiven then!
"Phaenna, goddess of glory." She replied back in a serious cold tone, almost glaring into Harlow's eyes. She...Had nearly missed the rest of the questions he asked. Nearly. Once she figured her glare had made it's point she averted her eyes to look to the side as she shifted her weight to a leg and crossed her arms over her chest. "Typical Mother's party. Mortals getting out of control, under the snack table seemed to be a popular place for them this year." She wasn't even too sure she wanted to mention the bows and arrows they had used to influence those mortals with. It was sorta a taboo subject after all. If the mortals found out they had been turning them into pin cushions all these years they might not want to come back. Besides, they were invisible and weren't dangerous...She hopped. Oh what was she thinking. All of them were their that night, shooting arrows around. Even the ever distant and quiet Dylo was. Couldn't have been any of them.
"Well it was typical until Ares showed up." Oh boy now THAT was something. "He made a huge scene. Was right in front of Mother when Adonis came stumbling out of the shadows full of arrows. We all saw him there, it was hard to miss after all." Full room saw him there.
What? The mortals wanted to know about Adonis? Airheaded waste of space, that's what he was...Though she couldn't say that. Not out loud at least. "Adonis was..." How should she put this? "Over the top...But you shouldn't expect less from the God of Desire. He was mother's fiance and he made her happy, that's all that truly matter. I wasn't that close to him." Mostly because she saw him as a bit more trouble then what he was worth BUT again, she was going to keep her opinion to herself.
"Anything else?" She looked back at the two fae with a raised brow before her attention what turned to her mother-AND she was gone again. Great. Phaenna rubbed her brow. A nice hot bath, some good wine and some chocolates. That's what she was getting straight after all this was over.

Lola's blue eyes flicked up as she looked to the teenagers sitting on the broken pillar. "I'm not too sure...This that one crying?" Oh dear what could make her so upset like that? Lola was about to suggest going up there but another had beaten them to her. "Probably best not to over crowd her if she is upset though, poor dear." She knew she'd want the space. Besides, it wasn't like she could fly up there anyways. Not having wings would do that.
Seemed like they weren't the only ones with the idea as another two started to speak to them. A fae and another one of those bird things were near by. The claws on her made Lola...Nervous. She shuddered slightly before shaking her head. "No, nothing yet. We need to talk to someone...Not surround already." The Naiad glanced around. There were a few of these gods talking one on one but most looked busy...But her! Lola spotted a green goddess who's mouth wasn't moving and Lola smiled to Seren "Think of some questions on the move and let's talk to her before more crowd around." Lola pointed over to Kleta and started to move though the crowd. "Ummm Excuse me!" Lola called out slightly as they got close to the goddess. "Sorry to bother you umm...Goddess...But do you mind if we ask you some questions for a little bit? It shouldn't take that long."Wolfs Heart WE GOTZ SUM QUESTIONS! >U

Amaya gave Tassos a funny look for the pat on the head, but shrugged it off and got back to the important stuff. "I'm not sure." she said in reference to the cherubs. Amaya looked at the group of goddesses that were coming to look at their sister's mirror. On the entrance of the angry goddess, Amaya paid special attention. She mused Area thought Venus betrayed him. She wrote down Area with a question mark as well. "Thank you, ladies, you've given me a lot to think about." Then she turned back to Tassos and asked "Can an ordinary cherub arrow kill a god??" Amaya turned to listen to what Phaenna had said. From what she said, it occurred to her. Ares likely would need help if he did the deed?? "Gods can't be two places at once right??"

Once the hand was down, all breaks were off. At least the other seemed happy enough now; that was always a good thing!
"I'm Luminita! I can make kittens from thin air. But not right now, cause I can never get them to disappear again, and I don't think they would help with the sleuthing, do you?" A (very) brief pause. "Okay, come with me!" she lightly grabbed Selah's hand and pulled her (less lightly) over to where she'd discovered the arrow not too long ago. "It was right here!" she pointed down and then held up the arrow again.
"Hmm... Well... Adonis was shot in the back, and that doesn't just happen... Do you think it could have been a trap?" At the sound of Venus's fit, Luminita tried to extend her neck enough so that she might see inside the temple.
"Ooooh... Think we should check it out?"

Hjortur glanced at his partner with a smile, then to the rest of their company before returning to listen intently to what Euphrosyne was saying. A rope burn, was it...? And on his leg no less. "Given that the arrows struck his backside and the rope markings on his leg, do you suppose Adonis might have fallen for a sort of trap?"
He took a sip of his wine.
"Perhaps... there is the rope laying there on the floor, looped and open, and Adonis walks in and..." he continued with a mild falling forward motion, holding it has he spoke, "...gets caught by the rope, causing him to lose his balance and fall forward." He returned to his regular standing position. "That would make him an easy target, no?" Such a thing was akin to one of the first lessons he'd learned as a child in training: to give away your back to an enemy was death.
If the killer had done so, it would have had to have be someone with access to the innermost rooms of the temple to lay the trap.. Either someone close to the family, or someone particularly good at getting into restricted areas.
Ending his musings, he took another sip as he glanced over towards Venus and her rather dramatic display. Stabbed in the back...?Was this to reference that the cause of death was multiple stab wounds (via arrows) to the back, or perhaps she meant a betrayal...
Regardless, it was strange they would simply leave the body there, or if they had returned it for the sake of these investigations, not bothered to remove any of the arrows on his body. A pity for the dead.
That said, he did make note how she paused on one arrow in particular. He couldn't see it from here, but made a mental note to check it out once her fit was done. Which it now appeared to be. Glancing back to the little group, he again took a sip as he waited for others to comment.

Lannister had a small smile due to the recognition from his aunt, but it quickly vanished as the goddess went on to tell her tale. "No, thank you." he said trying to comfort the apologetic Euphrosyne. "Every bit counts." And really, it was no little piece of information that she gave them. His eyes narrowed as his glance turned to the side to listen to one of the nearby pae speak. The other male seemed to be onto something. If that was how it happened then it had been a trap. "What if this trap wasn't even intended for Adonis... what if he was in the wrong place at the wrong time." A question like that would only lead to more questions, but what if they had been looking at this all wrong? He turned to look at Pelagious to ask for his thoughts on the matter but was distracted by the strange scene between Venus and Ares. Why would Ares say something like that? It certainly seemed like Ares had motive for killing Adonis, but if Adonis hadn't been the intended victim. Lannister wasn't about to question Ares though, the God of War was far more intimidating than his aunts and uncles.

Pelagious gave the goddess an odd look as she clasped onto him. He was in perfect control of his body. He wasn't going to run to her. My word. The nerve of some of the Goddesses. He stepped back quickly when she released him and began to talking to someone else. He also gave his shoulders a small flutter to se his costume aright. Then he glanced at the Goddess with a frown. Did she even know how long it tok to MAKE such a costume??!!
He was trying to soothe his ruffled feathers when he took notice of the conversation. thank the Gods he didn't have to introduce himself because he feared he would be very rude after what had just happened. Instead, he turned to the one speaking and asked "If they trapped him, but not such rope exists here, does it not stand to assume he was dragged here afterwards? Or perhaps they killed him and dragged his body using the rope?" he paused for a moment to give them time to think about it.

Pelagious have a small gasp as Lannister posed his question. Grasping him by the shoulders to draw his attention back to the group, he gave him a solid grin. "Of course. Why did I not think of that, Lanny? You've got the gift!!" he exclaimed, giving the gold and red faerie a touch to the nose as one would a child. "If he was dragged here and assuming he was killed by accident, then we must find out who was meant to be killed and/or why Adonis was there in his place!!"
Then, with a flourish of his cape, he turned the arguement amongst the God's and realized someone would have to talk the angry God. Maybe even Venus, though she did look a touch tempermental right now. But alas, he saw no one else jumping at the chance so he figured why not him. Might as well be him, right? Giving his capelet a shwoosh, he gestured to Ares and announced "Come Lanny. The game is afoot!"

Kleta paused in her steps as someone addressed her. As long as it wasn't Pelagious, and she was certain it wasn't. She had managed to lose him at some point. "Yes, that is fine." Kleta responded to the blue and gold pae that had approached her. The goddess wasn't sure how much of their questions she would be able to answer, but she would help how she could. She glanced over at Ares, Venus now gone, shaking her head in dismay. The god of war was someone she respected very much, one soldier to another. "I can assure you, it wasn't him," she said still staring at Ares.

"No, he wasn't dragged in." Lannister said simply as he rubbed his nose where the male had just touched him. "He was still alive when he got here, there was no rope then." At least, Lannister was fairly certain there hadn't been rope present at the time. "I don't think that's a good idea..." he said quickly before Pelagious could go rushing off to talk to Ares. He was staring at the god's sword. If Ares was in fact the murderer, he probably wouldn't take too kindly to being questioned. Lannister needed to know before before he personally would talk to the god. Lannister sighed, this was exhausting, it was so much more talking then he was used to doing. "I think we should talk to them next." He was pointing at Harmonia and Pothos, they were already talking to some pae, but that didn't mean they couldn't join.

Pelagious paused as Lanny cautioned distress. He followed the young faerie's eyesight and noticed he was staring at the sword. It was a really nice sword. And very large. Very good for...impaling...questiong pae. He gulped down some air and might have even paled a bit. Nope. He was pretty sure he paled a bit as he began to sway slightly at the thought of the blood would be unleashed when one was impaled.
Quickly turning around around, he blindly followed Lanny's finger. In quite a hurry, too. Anything to get away from his thoughts. There was no way he would faint in front of everyone. Especially not is his good clothes.Fea Line He is practially drunk on his own fear and is staggering rapidly toward Pothos.

Haku eyes narrowed at her false cheeryness. He could tell it was false because her eyes never matched what her mouth was saying. He needed to watch this one. There was something a little off about this enormous peacock.
Giving a slight sigh, he turned and resisted the urge stamp his foot. That would be childish and he didn't do childish. Scanning the crowd, he tried to find what in the hell she was talking about. She didn't seem to be going anywhere so maybe if he did what she wanted, then she deign to go away.
"Where are these arrows? Who has these weapons? What makes these darn arrows so special?" he growled, eyes still focused on the crowd and not her.

Seren took in the observations Lola made "It looks like it, I think they are related to the victim aren't they?" Her attention broke away from the pair as Summer approached them "Not a lot really, I want to see that arrow they found" she points at the pae across the room "and they look pretty upset" she motions next to the pair of twins on the column. Seren wasn't sure what else to tell the new comer when Lola hurried away towards one of the goddesses. "Come on" she motioned the pae whose name she didn't know yet (Summer) and chased after Lola. She heard the request of questions and thought fast as they approached Kleta. "Not him? What makes you say that?" she asked following the gaze towards Ares.
-*****************************************************************- Naomi watched the pair leave them and sighed noting how the one couldn't be bothered to even acknowledge her before flouncing off and hanging off Iordanes. She shook it off "Sorry again" she pushed herself more upright pulling the child back towards herself "Ashen please please stay put" she told her son struggling to get to him to do just that. "Came to help, I'm not off to much of a start on doing anything but try to keep control of my son." Her thoughts were interrupted by the yell from Venus bellowing at another then storming away. "Wow what was that all about?" she asked the flirty pae she still stood with after the others had left. She'd noticed the extra armaments of Venus and frowned, she was certainly more cautious in the presence of others now it seemed then she had been before.Ashen released his hold on the others as they left, he pouted he wanted a hug but noone wanted to give him one. His mother pulled him close and for the moment he relented and stood beside her holding her leg with one arm.

]See, now she was pleased, the little curio was getting with the program! Following a melodious laugh she started to answer, "The arrows were taken away with the body, besides the one that appeared. Reviewing the weapon is as close to a signature as can be asked for." Pointing in the general area of where the arrow had been picked up. Still weird that an arrow would just appear like that. It was a nice one, would do well in a collection.
Right, problem at hand, scanning the crowd with sharp vision she made note of who had been approached and who had not. "The arrows are special, no normal arrow could fell a God. Find out who had them and you have your killer. Eyes on the Deities. Be a doll and start asking, they probably have a good idea. Maybe one not surrounded by others?" It really wasn't asking much, hardly any effort for the faun. If one was going to accuse a deity, it would best be him.
Their Mistress's behavior was getting more alarming. Poor Venus and poor Mayu. What interested Venus was surely a clue as she added, "Best see what she saw, oh and do leave the God of War alone, not safe there." It was best he do it, and wouldn't do for her mule to be harmed before finishing the job.Her expression softened more in concern for her brother. He just seemed..worse than usual? Did he care for Adonis or was it he knew more than she realized? It was a hard place, between wanting to pry and not wanting him any more upset. Himeros was being a useless flirt, leave the mortals and look after family. There was no kinship with the mortals, always trouble when one tried.
Ah, a distraction, national past time of mortals. Offering a warm and genuine smile she followed her brother's greeting, "Hello, darlings, welcome and thank you first for taking an interest in this dreadful affair. How can we help?" It was disappointing that the faun had not approached yet, the special task of irritating the goddess of the Hunt was best left to his kind.
Shocked enough to send her wings aflutter, Harmonia could only watch wide-eyed as Mother came out in such a state. Mother and Father in the same scene was surprising enough, though not the tangible feeling between them. There was no way Ares did it, she would not believe her father had anything to do with the matter. Flexion wasn't worth the arrows. It was still odd to see him, a new normal that took getting used to but threw off the harmony something awful.
With mother retreating and some following she couldn't help but wonder, where was Eros?Fea Line Harmonia responding to Ky, and worrying about her brother
