 Akylan happily went to his little garden, ready to pick the little fruits that were supposed to appear on the plants when he noticed that quite a few of them had dried up and were no longer useable. He sighed, shaking his head back and forth. He was even terrible at growing plants it would seem. Would he ever be good at anything other than dancing?

Well, he at least found a few plants that were doing alright despite the others that had shriveled. He let out a breath, thankful that there was enough that he'd hopefully pass despite his apparent lack of ability with plants. Maybe the teacher would show some pity on him, even if the fruit was somewhat smaller than it probably should have been. He decided that he probably should stick with dancing after all.

 Ame was amazed she hadn't had any trouble with the herbalism course, she was convinced a bee would sting her or something since she really didn't know much about plants. Amethyst had actually found harvesting the plants relaxing, and she started to think she might have overlooked taking care of plants as something she might want to do, but business law.

 Syth was looking forward to the herbalism class, he wanted to learn more about plants since he intended to study alchemy and he figured that there would be many alchemy recipes that would require different kinds of plants. Syth listened to the assignment harvesting, Syth didn't expect it to be hard for him since his family grew their own food and he had done harvesting with his family before. Though he did remember times when he came across a hive of bees or a plant with thorns on it, cutting his hand. Luckily, this time went smoothly.

 Thomas headed into his little patch of garden to check up on his plants and had to frown. It looked like some kind of animal had dug a bunch of his plants up and ate them. Random bits were scattered around the dirt. Dang it, this was so not cool. How was he supposed to ward off critters from his garden?

As he got further into his garden, sure enough there were more signs of destruction. This time it seemed more like caterpillars had gotten to all the leafy plants he'd planted.

Wow, he was pretty bad at this gardening thing. Critters, bugs, and now a whole row that didn't seem to get enough irrigation. These plants were scorched and withered.

A plant! A real, live, not murdered plant! Oh, he was never dealing with plants again. But at least this one survived. He took the plant to Professor Corben and swore that he'd never go into any occupation with plants. A green thumb he did not have.

 Sidhe had never had to deal with a plant ever. However she kind of liked the idea of plants and Thomas kept giving her flowers and she wanted to keep them alive. She wasn’t sure she would ever be in a position to go harvesting but it was a new experience. Watching some of the other students she got the hang of it and carefully harvested the little bush of its fruit, making sure to leave the fruit that wasn’t quite ripe so it had a chance for the next assignment/student.

 It had just been a whim, but Nashira had decided to give herbalism a try. She was ready for the class, sunhat on her head, gloves on her hands, she was ready to help harvest... nettles? Well, they did have some uses, she supposed, and they grew pretty quickly, so anyone who may have messed up wouldn't have to wait long for the plants to grow large again, and it was very abundant in this area. It made a lot of sense. She was quite happy by the end of the day when she saw how much she had managed to harvest. This was a lot of fun. Maybe she would have to do it again.

Foras had decided to take up herbalism for his next elective. He thought learning to take care of plants with have it's benefits. It never hurt to have a green thumb! Of course, things didn't always go as planned and just as he thought things were going great, it turned out he let bugs get to his plant. Oh no! How did this happen? He had tried being so careful....

Foras was not going to give up on his little plant! He cared too much about the little thing to let this one be a total failure as well! He had to learn to take care of things and he figured it would be easiest to learn about plants first. Of course he did have a familiar that he loved quite dearly. Somehow he managed to keep the bugs of this one long enough for it to ripen completely! How great! He was pretty proud of himself this time around.

 Gwen exclaimed as she got bitten by a beetle trying to harvest a simple plant, this wasn't going well. She wanted to try again though, since knowing how to harvest plants could be useful to her work someday.

Gwen got ready to try again, she was more careful where she reached, this time, hoping she didn't get bitten by a bug again. Gwen sighed feeling better that she was able to figure out the assignment this time without hurting herself.

 Caron decided to take the herbalism class out of boredom, he didn't think he would be very good with plants, but he didn't have any history work to do right now. So he figured it was worth a try, he was half convinced that he would break out in hives trying to gather the plants. Caron was rather shocked when he completed the assignment easily.
