Just like that their peaceful moment was shattered.
The moans made her stop mid-sentence, her parlor paling she looked around wildly for the source of the disturbance. There in the muddy water, was movement. Wails and hungry groans filled her with dread as she felt her mouth go dry. The smell of decay and mold made her nutrition sack churn. Even breathing through her mouth didn't help against the awful intrusion.
Mamaju heard her name, looking up as Ephias called. She looked to Wolly apologetically before bursting forward in a full gallop. The tigress leapt forward, landing in a smooth motion beside her yellowblood, despite her obvious injuries. A snarled roar boomed in the swamp as she glared at the oncoming horde, then to the other three older trolls present. It wasn't their fault, but the dangerous situation had put her on edge.
We are leaving NOW Voscil. Her rumbled tone left no room for discussion.
"MAMAJU!? WHAT!? NO WAY!" She stomped her foot indignantly sending mud splashing. She looked every part the child she still was. Her voice raised out of sheer frustration, not considering what other things her booming protests would cause. Anger made her clench her firsts as she went to reach for her weapons.
No. You are still too little! Enough of this, let's go! I'm not arguing with you anymore on this matter. Her mother’s growl and firm swat of her paw while light were enough to get her point across. She grabbed hold of her jumpsuit by her teeth and hoisted her up off the ground, much like she'd done once upon a time when the fight over a silly conch shell had been the worst of their troubles.
Tears streamed down Voscil's cheeks. She..wasn't a wiggler anymore! She was a strong capable troll! Why did Mamaju insist on treating her like this? Vos just wanted to help her fellow teammates! Trashing a bit she tried to argue, reaching for the three of them as Ephias came to join. "No! NO! I want to be with them!" She kicked wildly to no avail; Mamaju was already on the move. Her voice cracked with emotion. "I..I'm sorry guys! Ple-ease be safe!" She was shamelessly crying now, pleading before she lost sight of her three friends, racked by guilt that she could not aid them. The pair were drawn into the darkness of the swamp, seen heading north away from the shambling undead.
