Mimi flinched slightly and giggled nervously, praying he wouldn't directly ask. "I was just curious. I...I don't know much about the world." she murmured, hoping it was a good enough excuse, but her curiosity took over "What's a country? And what is Teir? Is Teir a country to?"

Mimi began mentally hitting herself. It was bad enough he already seemed suspicious, but there she was asking questions that apparentl were common knolwedge.

Luna nodded at Junai, then looked back having the smell of squishy goblin a little more... present. She covered her nose and began to walk, even if the others weren't following, "Squishy goblins smell horrible.... worse when they get squished into a fire...." She had past expiriences with two people. Tindin and Kronk, they made mince meat out of three goblins, two of them were burnt, and one was made squishy, she hated goblins after that. She wasn't going to follow the trail, though it would be harder, it was much funner as well as harder to track, even if she didn't leave any marks of where she was. "Please hurry, it smells really bad...." she had kept her hand over her mouth and nose, now getting a distinct smell of the squishy goblin, most likely the others would just faintly smell it.

"Squishy Goblin, I told you it was bad...." She looked behind her, not really looking at the people but past them, seeing through the dark and to the forest past them. Still nothing, but it was certainly comming. She then remembered the question and turned her gaze to Junai, "I don't follow, or go on the main roads. There are always a larger chance of getting an ambush, since they are well used, and have certain clearings for camping in them. There are a lot of things on the main road, and it is better to stay hidden in the forest, but we will travel near it, in case we have to run away very, very fast...."

Luna nodded, "Present is better than past, and it is better than wanting something that is not in the present.... It won't rain for about two more days either...." She felt very strange actually talking so openly to someone, someone she had never met before, and someone who wasn't an animal... Go me! I am not afraid anymore!!

Lex walked silently through the streets, concentration very much elsewhere. The pendant around his neck felt like it was burning a hole through him, and he longed to feel the darkness' embrace again.
He brushes long, rough fingers through his hair, dusty with travel and streaked white with age. Pale blue eyes searched the cobbles beneath his feet - for what, Lex did not know. The sword at his side was heavy, the cloak around his shoulders thin, and the skin of his hands, feet and heart tougher than ever. He was weary.

His fingers brush lightly over the garnet at his chest, just beneath the V of his tattered tunic. He heaves a heavy sigh and raises his eyes to examine the world around him for the first time since he'd entered the shattered city.

Lex raises an eyebrow, even as he stops in his tracks. He lifts an arm outward as an aide to keep his balance, then offers it to the man lying on the floor.
"Apology accepted. Are you alright?"

Pale eyes examine the young man, even as his free hand brushes over his chest and waist, to check that nothing had been pilfered. One couldn't be too careful in such areas of destruction as this - many people were desperate, and stole for their survival. He couldn't blame them, but he wasn't going to make their job any easier.

Finding everything in place, Lex relaxes a slight bit.
